볼 베어링을 이용하는 직선 운동 가이드의 진동 해석 및 응용 (Vibration Analysis and Its Application of a Linear Motion Guide Supported by Rolling Ball Bearings)

  • This research investigates dynamic characteristics of a linear motion (LM) guide through a experimental result and theoretical analysis. The stiffness in the LM guide is determined by the preloading due to the minus clearance between the ball bearing and the contact surface and it can be derived by Hertzian contact theory and the nonlinear motion of equation. The vibration analysis is performed using Lagrange equations and its result agrees with the experiment result. Using the sensitivity analysis on design parameters such as the contact angles of ball bearings and the eccentricity of mass center, the variation of the natural frequencies can be predicted.

  • In this paper, a design method for an intermediate die was developed to manufacture a hollow linear motion guide rail in mandrel drawing process based on virtual die method and backward tracing scheme. FE simulations and mandrel drawing experiments using Mn55Cr carbon steel were performed to prove the effectiveness of the proposed design method. Results of FE simulations and experiments showed that the proposed design method could lead to drawn products with sound shape and the highest dimensional precision.

  • A ballscrew-linear motion(LM) guide is well-described by its name: it is a LM guide that runs by ballscrew. It consists of LM rail, LM block, end plate, screw, nut and bearing balls. The ballscrew-LM guide has many advantages compared with conventional LM guide. The high efficiency achieved with rolling contact devices permits the employment of antibacklash methods. The balls provide the only physical contact between nut rail and block and ball screw and nut replacing the sliding friction with a rolling motion. The life of the ballscrew-LM is determinated by the balls. The objective of this paper is to introduce the design of the ballscrew-LM with the safety working load.

  • In this paper, we developed a surface profile measuring system and a profile measuring software for EGL conductor roll. For the profilemeter, we designed a linear guided control system with Laser displacement sensors and developed a 3-dimensional software. Additionally, the AC motor and AC motor driver were used to control the precise position of linear guide system. The measuring principle of the Laser sensor is optical triangulation method. Also, two Laser sensors were used to remove the disturbance and vibration effects of the linear guide system.

  • In this study, we investigated experimentally the potential of a planer positioning mechanism with three degrees of freedom using a flexure guide and an electromagnetic linear motor. The goal was to produce a multi-axis positioning system with nanometric resolution over a 1-mm stroke. An $X-Y-\theta$ stage was designed based on previous results from a single-axis prototype and was constructed with a flexure guide mechanism and voice coil motor type linear actuators. We examined the necessity of a driving method and control system to ensure high resolution for multi-axis positioning. Experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance, and the results confirmed the mechanism's potential; fine point-to-point (PTP) positioning was achieved over a 1-mm stroke, with a resolution of 2 nm for translation in X-Y and 0.01 asec for yaw in $\theta$.

  • Molecular flows inside a guide block in the OLED(organic luminescent emitting device) deposition process have been simulated using DSMC(direct simulation Monte Carlo) method. Because the organic materials are evaporated under vacuum, molecules flow at a high Knudsen number of the free molecular regime, where the continuum mechanics is not valid. A guide block is designed as a part of the linear cell source to transport the evaporated materials to a deposition chamber, When solving the flows, the inlet boundary condition is proved to affect significantly the whole flow pattern. Thus, it is proposed that the pressure should be specified at the inlet. From the analysis of the density distributions at the nozzle exit of the guide block, it is shown that the longer nozzle can emit molecules more straightly. Finally, a nondimensionalized mass flow profile is obtained by numerical experiments, where various nozzle widths and inlet pressures are tested.

  • This paper is concerned with achieving the high motion accuracy of linear motion bearing guide according to estimate accuracy average effect of bearing. Accuracy average effect can be obtained b analysis the relationship between motion error of the table and spatial frequency of the rail form error. And influences of ball diameter, ball number, and clock length on block motion error and block number on the table motion error are analyzed theoretically. In addition to, a simple experiment is performed in order to verify theoretical result.

  • This paper presents a result of simulation and improvement of grinding process for linear motion guide blocks. A simulation software, which is based on cylindrical grinding process. is used to predict the grinding wheel wear during the grinding process. To validate the simulation, the simulation result is compared with the experimental one. Simulation study is extended to obtain an optimal grinding condition for minimizing the grinding wheel wear. The optimal condition is validated through an experiment.

  • Nanometer positioning control with high velocity and long stroke is discussed. A one-axis stage mechanism driven by an AC linear motor and guided by a rolling ball guide has been constructed. Coarse and fine position controls are designed by using nonlinear dynamics of the rolling guide. Switching from coarse positioning to fine positioning is studied.

  • 본 논문에서는 4차 산업에서 필요로 하는 스마트 기기의 소형 및 저전력 부품에 사용되는 센싱 플랫폼을 제안하였다. 특히 스마트팩토리의 공장 자동화와 정밀 측정의 핵심 부품인 리니어 모션 가이드(LM Guide)를 고정밀, 고정도로 제어할 수 있는 센싱 시스템을 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 기존의 변위 센서 기법의 한계를 극복할 수 있도록 와전류(Eddy Current) 기법을 이용함으로써 LC 공진기와 전도체를 LM 가이드에 장착할 수 있도록 구현하였다. 또한 미세 인덕턴스 값을 측정할 수 있도록 디지털 신호처리 기술과 컴퓨터/산술 기술을 FPGA를 이용한 HW 시스템을 제작하여 구현함으로써 실험을 진행했다. 본 논문에서 구현한 HW 센싱 시스템을 이용하여 LM 가이드를 동작시킴으로 실시간으로 변위 값을 디스플레이 부로 출력되어 측정이 가능하고, 변위 값의 분해능과 응답속도 면에서 우수함을 확인할 수 있다.
