토빗분석을 적용한 X세대, MZ세대의 외식지출 영향요인 (The Factors Affecting Dining-out Expenses by Generation X and Generation MZ Based on Tobit Model)

  • The food service industry has grown larger with changes in the economic and socio-cultural environment. In this saturated food service industry, generation X and MZ are the main consumer forces that demand attention. That is because a generation is the main psychographic factor that reflects personal values and lifestyle based on one's life cycle. From such a perspective, a generation in marketing has been used as a variable to predict a market by supplementing demographic factors. Accordingly, this study classified generations into generation X and generation MZ with the use of the 2019 consumer behavior survey for food by Korea Rural Economic Institute (KREI) and then investigated the factors influencing group and personal dining-out expenses. The analysis was carried out applying the Tobit model using SPSS and R. The positively influential variables on generation X's personal dining-out expenditure were male, single person, high income and simple lifestyle, whereas housewives, personal ethical consciousness, behavioral ethical consciousness, and safe dietary life were negatively influential variables. The positively influential variables on generation MZ's personal dining-out expenditures were male, dual-income, high education level, corporate and governmental ethical consciousness, while the number of family members and safe dietary life were negatively influential variables.

여고생의 라이프스타일에 따른 신발 구매 행동과 착용만족도 (Shoes Purchasing Behavior and Wearing Satisfaction Related with Lifestyle of High School Girls)

  • Teenagers are considered as one of important consumer groups by marketers because of their high purchasing power and impulsive purchasing propensity. Especially high school girls are most significant purchasing group of them. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of high school girls' lifestyle on shoes purchasing behavior and shoes wearing satisfaction. This study surveyed 428 high school girls in Seoul and Chonbuk area. Data were statistically analyzed using SAS 9.1.3 for Window. Major statistical methods are factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient, cluster analysis, frequency analysis, Chi-square test, multiple regression analysis, ANOVA and Duncan test. The shoes purchasing behavior is significantly different according to students' lifestyle. Activity-pursuing group's major shoes purchasing factor is practical use and fashion & scholar-pursuing group's major shoes purchasing factors are fashion and brand. Relationship between lifestyle and shoes purchasing pattern is as follows. Activity-pursuing group and fashion & scholar-pursuing group purchased shoes more frequently than family-pursuing group. Fashion & scholar-pursuing-group purchased shoes for the harmony of suit and shoes. As for wearing satisfaction, design is the primary factor and price was the least significant factor in sports shoes, while durability is the primary factor and material is the least significant factor for the casual shoes.

50세 이상 남성의 생활습관 및 식습관과 골밀도와의 관계 (Associations of Lifestyle Behaviors, Dietary Habits and Bone Mineral Density in Men Aged 50 Years and Older)

  • Lifestyle behaviors including dietary habits are well known to play key roles in bone metabolism. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among the factors affecting bone mineral density (BMD) including age, anthropometric parameters, lifestyle behaviors, and dietary habits of men aged more than 50 years. Ninety-one men, who visited health promotion center at one of the university medical centers, were divided into two groups according to the BMD: normal and osteopenia. The BMD of femoral neck in the osteopenia group was significantly lower than that of the normal group ($0.77\;{\pm}\;0.28$ vs. $0.98\;{\pm}\;0.08\;g/cm^2$). The proportion of the regular exercisers was significantly lower in the osteopenia group than in the normal group (p = 0.027). In the osteopenia group, the femoral neck BMD was significantly decreased in smokers and coffee drinkers compared to no-smokers and no-coffee drinkers. The femoral neck BMD was increased among those who consume breakfast and beans and bean products more frequently and those with a greater meal regularity. In the normal group, the lumbar spine BMD was significantly increased among those with frequent consumption of beans and bean products. The lumbar spine BMD was significantly correlated with exercise (r = 0.263), and the femoral neck BMD with weight (r = 0.284), BMI (r = 0.324), relative body weight (r = 0.294), exercise (r = 0.269) and frequency of beans and bean products consumption (r = 0.216). These results indicate that lifestyle behaviors and dietary habits play important roles in maintaining optimum bone health in the middle-aged men.

학령기 후기 아동의 암 예방 생활습관 지식, 실천의지, 실천 (Relationship of Knowledge and Practical Will to Practice of Cancer Prevention Lifestyle by Late School-aged Children)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify late school-aged children‘s knowledge, and practical will in the practice of cancer prevention lifestyle, and to examine the relations between these variables and factors that influence practice. Methods: The participants included 525 fifth and sixth grade students from 8 elementary schools in J and S cities. Data were collected in December 2008 using self-report questionnaires developed by the authors and were analyzed using the SPSS program. Results: Mean scores were, for knowledge of cancer prevention lifestyle, $0.76{\pm}0.11$ out of a possible 1, practical will, $4.05{\pm}0.55$ out of a possible 5, and practice, $3.66{\pm}0.41$ also out of 5. There were differences in knowledge (F=4.39, p=.013), practical will (F=18.35, p<.001), and practice (F=29.13, p<.001) according to academic achievement and in practical will (F=3.68, p<.001) and practice (F=3.01, p=.003) according to grade. There were positive correlations between knowledge and practical will (r=.205, p<.001), knowledge and practice (r=.181, p<.001), practical will and practice (r=.628, p<.001). Practice will and knowledge of cancer prevention lifestyle showed a significant influence on practice. Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that effective strategies should be developed to motivate the practical will for the practice of cancer prevention lifestyle during childhood.

Re-examination of Opisthorchis viverrini Infection in Northeast Thailand

  • Background: Liver fluke infection caused by the parasite Opisthorchis viverrini (O. viverrini), a human carcinogen, is endemic in north-eastern Thailand and remains a major health problem. Objectives: The objectives of the study were to (1) resurvey the prevalence of O. viverrini infection in a field site from the Khon Kaen Cohort Study (in newly recruited subjects as well as previous cohort subjects surveyed in 1992); (2) investigate how subjects' lifestyle habits and their exposure to health promotion initiatives influence changes in prevalence of O. viverrini infection. Materials and Methods: The prevalence of O. viverrini infection in the cohort subjects (as well as new subjects) was investigated using faecal egg counts. Information on demographic factors, lifestyle and awareness of health promotion initiatives were obtained through questionnaires. Results: O. viverrini infection rates in the same individuals of the cohort were lower in 2006 than in 1992. Also, by studying the period effect, the current 35-44 year olds had a 12.4% (95% CI 3.9% to 20.9%) lower prevalence of O. viverrini infection than the 35-44 year olds in 1992 (24.2% versus 11.8%). Lifestyle choices showed that smoking and alcohol consumption were associated with an increased chance of acquiring O. viverrini infection with adjusted odds ratios of 10.1 (95%CI 2.4-41.6) and 5.3 (95%CI 1.2-23.0), respectively. Conclusions: Our study has demonstrated that although the prevalence of O. viverrini infection over a 14-year period has decreased, unhealthy lifestyle was common with smoking and alcohol consumption being associated with increased chances of infection, emphasising the double burden of disease which developing countries are facing.

청주지역 대학생들의 식생활라이프스타일에 따른 외식행동 연구 (Research on the Dining-out Behavior of Cheong-Ju Undergraduates by Food-related Lifestyle)

  • 본 연구는 청주지역 대학생들을 대상으로 진행되었으며, 총 213부의 유효표본이 분석에 이용되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 청주지역 대학생들의 식생활라이프스타일을 요인분석 한다. 둘째, 식생활라이프스타일 요인에 따라 대학생들의 집단을 분류한다. 셋째, 식생활라이프스타일에 따라 분류된 집단의 외식행동을 연구한다. 연구 결과 획득한 정보를 토대로 레스토랑에 마케팅적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 연구결과 청주지역 대학생들의 식생활라이프스타일의 요인분석결과 "유행 추구형", "건강 추구형", "안전 추구형", "장식 추구형", "미각 추구형" 그리고 "웰빙 추구형" 의 6개 요인이 추출되었고, 군집분석 결과는 안전 추구형 집단, 소극적 식생활 집단, 식생활 고관심 집단으로 분류되었다.

라이프스타일에 따른 고객세분화 및 e-CRM 전략제안 (Consumer Segmentation by Lifestyle and Development of e-CRM Strategies)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine consumer purchasing behavior of the online shoppers particularly using online clothing shopping mall and to analyze the key factors of both satisfaction and dissatisfaction of their purchase and to compare the both group by lifestyle segmentation in order to provide the e-CRM strategies. Focus group interviews and survey were conducted in December, 2003 with 30 online shoppers who have an experience of online clothing purchasing. The data analysis included the content analysis, descriptive statistics, K-means and factor analysis. Key findings of the study were as follows: First, online shoppers spent average 3.5 hours on internet and usually purchased clothing while surfing the web. Second, consumers were satisfied with reasonable price and customized service but dissatisfied with delayed delivery, limited product availability in both size and color and return policy. Third, according to the lifestyle segmentation, online shoppers could be characterized as 'Luxurious', 'Trendy' and 'Prudent' 'Luxury-oriented consumers', who value fashion, diet and social activity, tended to purchase basic yet high quality products. However, 'Trend-oriented consumers', to whom fashion trend was most important, purchased various latest fashion products with reasonable price and showed generally positive response to emails sent by e-retailers. And lastly 'Prudence-oriented consumers', whose buying decision was based solely on practicality, appeared to be reluctant to purchase clothing online while seeking more credible information and competitive price. In conclusion, this study has its significance in that it helps promote relationships between customers and e-retailers by providing differentiated e-CRM strategies through each customer groups 'lifestyle segmentation and consumer purchasing behavior analysis.

항공사 객실승무원의 라이프스타일과 일시적 해외 체제 시 여가 유형 (Differences in Leisure Type of Temporary stay -in overseas Lay over by Segmentation of Flight Attendant's Life Style)

  • 본 연구는 국내 주요 항공사 승무원을 대상으로 업무 특성상 일시적 해외 체류 시 라이프 스타일과 여가유형을 조사하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 선행연구를 바탕으로, 객실승무원의 근무 실정에 맞는 라이프스타일과 여가활동 내용을 발췌하여 설문항목을 작성하였다. 분석방법은 수집된 데이터를 바탕으로 내적일관성을 확인하는 신뢰도 분석과 요인분석을 실시하였으며, 라이프스타일은 문화체험 지향형, 성공 추구형, 사교성 지향형, 인간다움 추구형, 유행 추구형, 쇼핑 선호형, 건강지향형의 7개 요인이 추출되었다. 또한 여가유형은 휴식형, 스포츠형, 관광활동형의 3개 요인이 추출되었다. 라이프스타일에서 추출된 요인들을 군집 분석 한 결과, 군집1은 소극적 라이프스타일 형, 군집2는 적극적 라이프스타일 형, 군집3은 자아만족 라이프스타일 형으로 분석되었다. 항공사 객실승무원의 라이프스타일 유형분석은 직장인의 짧은 해외 출장 시 여가시간을 잘 활용할 수 있는 근간을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 기존 미디어 서비스의 속성을 복합적으로 보유하면서도 서로 다른 단말기의 상호작용을 통해 새로운 가치를 제공하는 N스크린은 미디어와 콘텐츠, 그리고 소비자 간의 관계를 재구성하고 있다. 그런데 이와 같이 혁신적인 기술 혹은 서비스의 실질적인 성공은 최초 사용보다는 지속적인 사용으로부터 나온다고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 서비스의 수용 후 행동인 사용확산과 라이프스타일과의 관계를 검증해 보고 소비자의 미디어나 기기 및 콘텐츠 서비스 활용 정도를 파악하는데 있어서 유용한 개념적 토대를 제공하고자 한다. 정보통신정책연구원의 2012년 한국미디어패널조사 통계조사에서 수집된 미디어 행태 자료 중 N스크린 이용자 1,524명을 중심으로 하여 검증하였다. 우선 사용확산 모형(use-diffusion model) 이론에 근거한 기준을 바탕으로 하여 소비자의 유형을 분류해 라이프스타일 활동의 차이를 살펴보고, 다음으로는 라이프스타일에 관한 데이터를 중심으로 하여 소비자의 군집에 따른 특징을 비교함으로써 군집화의 두 가지 방식을 모두 채택하여 검증하였다.

서울·경기지역 일부 중장년 성인의 주관적 건강인지, 식습관 및 건강 관련 습관에 관한 연구 (A Study on Perceived Health Status, Dietary Habits and Health-Related Lifestyle Factors of Middle-Aged Men and Women in Seoul and Gyeonggi Area)

  • The study examined the perceived health status, dietary habits, and health-related lifestyle habits of middle-aged men and women in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do areas. The survey was conducted on 670 individuals (320 men and, 350 women), aged 40~64 years, in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do areas. The online and written data were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 25.0 program. Although there was a significant difference in the perceived health status (P < 0.01), there were no significant differences in the subjective stress and the current disease status according to sex. For dietary habits, the scores for fruit intake (P < 0.05), meat and fish intake (P < 0.05), milk and dairy products intake (P < 0.01), and seaweed intake (P < 0.05) were higher in women than men. The scores for three-meal eating (P < 0.05) and water intake (P < 0.01) were higher in men than women. For the health-related habits, alcohol-drinking frequency, daily alcohol consumption, smoking experience, and daily smoking were higher in men than women (P < 0.001). In contrast, caffeinated beverage intake, exercise frequency, and daily smart-phone, computer, and TV using time were similar in both sexes. The meal-eating time was faster in men than women (P < 0.01). For dietary behavior changes, only appetite showed a significant gender difference (P < 0.05). This study provides essential information on the perceived health status, dietary habits, and health-related lifestyle habits in middle-aged men and women. Nevertheless, further research and a practical nutrition program will be needed to solve undesirable dietary habits and improve the health and lifestyle of middle-aged adults according to sex.
