Today, the power utilities is setting on the slow load growth and the aging of power equipment, and then could spend the efforts on the stability of system performance. Asset management may be defined as the process of maximizing corporate profit by maximizing performance and minimizing cost over the entire life cycle of power equipment. Therefore, asset management is great way to fulfill the economic investment and the stability of system performance. This paper presents the application of effective asset managem ent from an economic perspective. A proposed method is considering the life cycle analysis using life cycle cost methodology for hydro-generator during the total life cycle. The life cycle cost methodology include a way to calculating maintenance and operating costs. The proposed method will be expected to play an important role in investment decision making considering economic evaluation.

Presented in this paper is a development of knowledge management system based on knowledge life cycle. Knowledge processes in an organization have a life cycle from creation to disposal. So, KMSs have to support the entire life cycle of knowledge. This paper proposes desired knowledge life cycle model, and extracted functional requirements for KMS. For the fulfillment of this requirements, we developed KMS called XM-Brenic/MSX. This system has 6 components for supporting the knowledge life cycle.

This paper reviews the literature on life course as a perspective in family studies. Life course approach on family studies have been emerged since 1960. This approach, which is challenging accepted knowledge and theory, partly reflects a shift in analytic perspective from structural models to a more behavioral thrust that views as a actor in structured situations, Life course approach is a theoretical orientation for our understanding of the linkage between individual and family development in context of changing historical context. Life course approach contributes time, process, and context to receiving in sociological perspectives on family and kinship.

This study was performed to develop effective management system of concrete structures in Nuclear Power Plants. This D/B system includes three kinds of data : 1)visual inspection data(cracking, spalling, etc.) 2) durability data carbonation, chloride attack, etc. 3) in-service inspection data(prestressing force. material properties, etc. ) By using the life management D/B System, the field engineers can easily acquire the information about the various inspection data. repair and accidental histories of structures. This system, will contribute to the efficient life management of concrete structures.

본 연구는 학부모를 대상으로 어린이 식생활 안전관리 특별법에 대한 효과적인 교육 홍보방법을 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 조사대상자인 학부모는 특별법 주요 문항을 대부분 숙지하고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 안전한 어린이 기호식품 선택을 위해 가장 중요한 항목은 '어린이 기호식품의 기준 규격을 강화해야 한다'로 나타났다. 어린이 식생활 안전지수 관련 문항은 어린이 식생활 안전분야를 가장 중요하게 생각했고, 전업주부와 핵가족은 어린이 식생활 안전분야를 (p<.01), 대가족은 어린이 식생활 영양분야를 더 중요하게 생각했다. 어린이 식생활 안전관리에 대한 정보취득 경로는 주로 대중매체와 가족 및 친구로 나타났고, 월수입이 높을수록 전문서적을, 30세 이상~50세미만은 대중매체를, 대졸의 경우 시민사회단체를 더 많이 활용하는 것으로 조사되었다(p<.05). 어린이 식생활 안전교육을 받게 될 경우 위생적인 식생활 정보와 가공식품영양표시제정보를 주로 희망하는 것으로 나타났고, 전업 주부는 가공식품영양표시제정보에, 직장인은 위생적인 식생활 정보에 더 많은 관심을 보였다(p<.05). 어린이 식생활 안전관리 특별법을 학부모들에게 알리는 방법에 대해서는 TV, 라디오 등 방송매체를 통한 홍보와 학교 교육을 통한 홍보가 효과적이라고 생각하고 있었다. 연구결과 어린이 식생활 안전에 대한 정보를 얻는 경로와 학부모들이 생각하는 특별법에 대한 효율적 홍보방법으로 대중매체가 영향을 많이 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났으므로 앞으로 어린이 식생활 안전관리 특별법을 홍보하는데 있어서 유의해야 할 부분이라고 사료된다.

While the number of women labor force in Malaysia is increasing, only a few of them make it to the top. For many reasons, some women turn down top position offer and some of them refuse to stay working. Commitment to the family, work-life conflict and lack of support from the family and the colleagues are among issues that caused women to have less interest to pursue career advancement. This article examines the role of work-life balance and its relationship to women career advancement, and why both are important in Malaysia. The arguments are arranged based on a review of the previous literature to conceptualize the relationship between work-life balance and career advancement. It is found that both work-life balance and women career advancement are important to retain women in the working world as well as to motivate them to pursue promotion to a higher position. Even though some researchers agreed that the relationship between work-life balance and career advancement is mostly negative, others found positive relationship between both constructs. At the end of the paper, some suggestions on how to improve work-life balance and career advancement are presented as well as suggestion for future research.

Purpose - The main purpose of this study is to investigate service industry employee' perceptions of Work-Life-Balance (WLB) and the influences of these perceptions on their overall Quality of Life (QOL). The study hypothesizes that employees' overall Quality of Life is influenced by Work-Life-Balance. Design/methodology/approach - The target population for this research consisted of service industry employees. The data was collected using the online-survey method and 449 usable responses were analyzed using AMOS program. Findings - The results indicated that psychological environment and family environment positively affected overall quality of life each, and work environment negatively influenced on overall quality of life. Research implications or Originality - Despite the importance of Work-Life-Balance (WLB), most of previous studies have investigated WLB from company perspective while limited research has examined employees' WLB perceptions. The findings of this study enrich knowledge of WLB from employee perspective especially in service industry.

Purpose: This study investigates the social network, self-care agency, and quality of life of high-risk beneficiaries in case management of Medicaid and the correlations between these variables. It also identifies influencing factors on their quality of life. Methods: The subjects included 187 individuals chosen from the high-risk beneficiaries in case management of Medicaid in D Metropolitan City. Data was collected through direct interviews based on a structured questionnaire on home visits. Results: The perceived health status was the most influential factor in their quality of life, followed by self-care agency, mutual support network, and natural support network in order. These factors explained 40.6% of their quality of life. Conclusion: These findings raise a need to develop a nursing intervention program to increase the self-care agency of the high-risk beneficiaries in case management of Medicaid.
