The information material in the library or in the information service center is at once its own property and the national resources, so that every citizen in the country has the right to the equal use of it for the development of the country. Library co-operation enables every citizen to use easily and equally the materials in the library. In the informational society of today, owing to the information explosion, the increase in the various user's demand of the information, and the rise of the cost of information material, even the richest and highly advanced country cannot be self-sufficient. Under these circumstances, the international co-operation among libraries seems to be the best way to solve the difficulties of selfsufficiency. Therefore, this paper aims to study the background of IFLA founded in 1927 in order to promote the international library co-operation and its development up to 1970's since its establishment, and, by introducing IFLA's programs of UBC, ISBD, and UAP, to consider the significance of IFLA's contribution to the development of library and librarianship.

The Saemaul Mini-Library system had to start as a purely voluntary grass-roots movement without a tax su n.0, pport. In other words, it had to depend on voluntary contributions in time and labor by the reading club members for its finance and daily maintenance and operation. The purpose of the study is to analyse the actual condition of a Saemaul Mini-Library, which is established in a rural and a fishing village. To meet this purpose, I will survey the function and the meaning of a Saemaul Mini-Library and the main tendency of it-now did it start and how did it develop and I will analyse the general condition of structural factors (establishment, materials, reading club) in a Saemaul Mini-Library.

Academic libraries need to support effectively cyber education which should be managed successfully. This study aims to grasp what factors affect users' recognition level and expectation level for library service, being offered at the library of Korea National Open University. Also, this study seeks to conduct a survey and analyze whether users' recognition level by library service dimensions has actually influenced the intention and the satisfaction with using the library. For this, it carried out the theoretical approach, which considers domestic and foreign documents on evaluation of quality of library service, and the empirical approach of questionnaire research and analysis. A research model was designed on the basis of LibQUAL+model to achieve the objective of this research. And the group-based difference was confirmed by carrying out verification on research hypothesis. As a result of analysis, the users' current recognition level by library service dimensions of Korea National Open University was indicated to have influence on the whole satisfaction with library and the continuous use intention. The whole satisfaction was indicated to have an effect on continuous use intention. Also, to enhance users' satisfaction level according to the behavioral characteristics of using library, the core elements for improving the library service of Korea National Open University were cited and these include improving the facility of library, implementing smart digital library system for offering remotely academic information, and securing diversity and currency of academic information sources such as printing materials and electronic materials.

This study investigates the influences of the service qualify of public libraries, including printed publications, internet and electronic materials, culture programs and. service, library environment and facilities, and library staff, on the general satisfaction of the users, complaining intentions, and loyalty including reuse intentions. It develops a library user satisfaction model and testifies it through path analysis using questionnaires from 443 public library users in Daegu Metropolitan City area. This study shows that service qualities of printed publications, culture programs and service, library environment and facilities, and library staff Influence significantly on the general satisfaction of the users, and that service quality of library environment and facilities is the major variable which influences satisfaction and loyalty of the public library.

In information society, enhancing information literacy is a common goal of the academic and school libraries. This paper consists of three chapters. Changes and objectives of library automation are discussed in chapter 1 and 2 respectively. The dominant trends in library automation which begun in 1960's can be described ; the 1960's was dominated by primitive local systems and the 1970's by online networks. And in the 1980's, there is a return to local system but with various options to networks. The major objectives of library automation are to improve speed of technical process, to get economic efficiency, and to provide better services. But the library planning automation should take account of experiences of the others that those objectives are not easily achieved. The impact of automation on a library is discussed in chapter 3. First, emphasis of libraries shifts from a collection orientation to an access orientation. Computer allowed to access not only to materials of their own library but also to those of others. Second, libraries should reconsider all their activities and services. Those must be reorganized by several principles such as rationalization, intelligent use of automation, and maximizing of human self-fulfillment. Third, change on organizational structure is anticipated. Flat organization in stead of existing hierarchy will provide rapid communication for problem - solving and intensify professionalism. Machine with proper capabilities and well programed software are prerequisites for library automation. But beyond these prerequisites, human factor should be stressed as well as mechanical factor. Therefore, understanding of changes due to automation, aggressive acceptance of trend, and su n.0, pport of organization are required in order to get successful results.

Neutinamu Library in Suji, Yongin, has been serving as a hub for local communities since its opening in 2000. In 2003, Neutinamu Library Foundation was established for the development of library culture, continuing the wave of the library movement in the third sector and carrying out cooperative projects with various institutions. Through these exchanges and activities, numerous records and materials were produced and collected at the library. In 2012 and 2013, Neutinamu Library Archive was built so that the records that have been collected could be utilized. As such, this article will introduce and discuss the processes in the creation and management of Neutinamu Library Archive.
