Subjects were 'international users using the academic library' not only including international students but also including international professors and researchers to analyze library anxiety in various aspects. S university with most international users was selected for the study, and the surveys were distributed. The questionnaires completed by 369 international users were analyzed. The overall average of library anxiety among international users is 2.96, and 'knowledge of the library' appears to be the greatest source of library anxiety among international users. • In recent, library is considered as an integrated knowledge convergence center that can respond to various requests about information service of users. Therefor it is necessary to establish a novel information system based on information communications technologies of the era. In other words, it is currently required to develop mobile information service available in portable devices such as smart phones or tablet PCs, and to establish information system reflecting cloud computing, SaaS, Annotation, and Library 2.0 etc. In this paper we design and implement a library information system using collective intelligence and cloud computing. This information system can be adapted for the varieties of mobile service paradigm and abruptly increasing amount of electronic materials. Advantages of this concept model are resource sharing, multi-tenant supporting, configuration, and meta-data supporting etc. In addition it can offer software on-demand type user services. In order to test the performance of our system, we perform an effectiveness analysis and TTA authentication test. The average response time corresponding to variance of data reveals 0.692 seconds which is very good performance in timing effectiveness point of view. And we detect maturity level-3 or 4 authentication in TTA tests such as SaaS maturity, performance, and application programs.

  • This study was conducted to explore pending issues as an obstacle factor in the library growth and progress through measurement of Korean and Chinese College undergraduates' perception on the library, and suggest its countermeasure to that the study result showed that their perception to the library's social and cultural function was low, so the library's cultural events need to be consolidated to enhance perception, and the Korean student's study zeal was lower than Chinese, and amny students did not go to the library, but an incentive is needed to escalate the strength of course study or the library availability. Also a countermeasure should be established such as a class link project through continuing specialized librarians' training strengthened, users' group education for the satisfaction enhancement and validity of the information service users.

  • Modern stage must offer to the level which the customer requests the quality of the information service to offer from the information center. We are the one view which needs new system management around the process serving this. This study accomplished theoretical review of ISO 9000 as International Quality Management System. investigated the trend for change of ISO 9000 certification systems. We analyzed the recognition level of members about the introduction of ISO 9000 quality management systems in the information center. The level up of recognition about ISO 9000 quality management system certification systems was the low in the information center. Hereafter, We grasped the subject of ISO 9000 certification systems which the introduction needs. We reviewed ISO 9000 family which the Library and Information center possible apply and presented the requirement in the library and information center with the process to need for a Quality Management System certification.

  • Library collaboration instruction (LCI) is a process in which a classroom teacher and librarian collaborate to co-planning, co-implementation, co-assessment instruction. LCI is being studied and modeled in various dimensions such as the level of collaboration, information activities, and time scheduling. However, there is no integrated model that comprehensively covers teacher and librarian collaboration. The purpose of this study is to propose a schematic integration model for LCI by comparing and analyzing various models in five dimensions (level of collaboration, information activities, collaborative approach, time scheduling, and technological integration). The main results of the integration model for LCI reflected in this study are as follows. First, in terms of the level of collaboration, TLC integration model reflected such as library-based teacher-led instruction, cross-curricular integrated curriculum. Second, in terms of information activities, LCI integration model reflected social and science subjects inquiry activities in addition to the information use process. Third, in terms of collaborative approach, LCI integration model is divided into such as lead-observation instruction and parallel station instruction. Fourth, in terms of time management, LCI integration model took into account the Korean national curriculum and scheduling methods. Fifth, in terms of technology integration, LCI integration model reflected the PICRAT model, modified from the perspective of library collaboration instruction.

Descriptive survey was adopted for this study. The population of the study comprised 217 library and information professionals from 10 selected academic libraries in south-west, Nigeria. A total enumeration technique was used to cover all the library and information professionals, 136 respondents filled and returned the questionnaire, given a response rate of 62.7%. The questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data collected. The findings show that majority of LIPs possessed a high level of awareness in the use of social media tools. The study also revealed that social network tools were highly used by LIPs in the academic libraries studied and the types of social media used by LIPs was also revealed. The major challenges faced in the use of social media include inadequate power supply, lack of Internet access and time constraints. The paper recommended that to enhance the use of social media by LIPs, there is need for constant awareness of the importance of social media tools to LIPs and libraries in effective service delivery, LIPs should be ready to learn, unlearn and be learned in the use of social media and university libraries should provide enabling environment such as internet connectivity, power supply and policy to guide LIPs in social media usage.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the effectiveness and quality of web service by analyzing the web service problems and suggesting the solutions through the expert service quality evaluation from the point of view of users and website quality evaluation by measurement tools for a whole NDSL website. In case of website analysis, this study analyzed the website completeness of NDSL site and looked into the problem that users can judge by intuition during their use of the site, and evaluated the searchability and usability for web-based service quality evaluation by centering on the service quality of database quality items. After the results of this analysis, it appeared that there was not a big problem on the use. But after searching, several problems were found on loading rates, website completeness, user sensitiveness, the protection of private information, metadata completeness, website accessability, etc. And as a result of the evaluation of website service quality, it does not show the all satisfactory results in the function of search methods and search result printing, mark list and the items related to full-text in the part of searchability and usability. However, comparing with the results of other information organizations, it shows the similar level of quality.
