본 연구는 Q방법을 활용하여 대학생이 지각하는 교양교육에 대한 인식 유형을 알아보고 유형별 특성을 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 문헌연구와 개방형 질문지, 심층 면접을 통해 수집한 Q 모집단에서 Q표본 33개를 추출하였다. Q분류는 B시에 소재한 A대학교 재학생 27명을 대상으로 실시하였으며, QUANL 프로그램을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 교양교육에 대한 인식 유형은 '다양한 경험 추구형', '실용학문 추구형', '사고확장 추구형', '사회변화 추구형' 등 4가지 유형으로 추출되었다. 본 연구 결과는 대학교육에서 교양교육의 의미를 재정립하고 다양한 교육 내용과 교수-학습 방법에 대한 고려가 필요함을 시사한다.

The decrease in the farming rates of agricultural produce importing countries has led to concerns over stable food supply and food safety and this situation demands a change in awareness on agricultural problems arising from the depletion of natural resources and environmental destruction. To preserve agriculture, importing countries are emphasizing the various roles of agriculture in order to revive its multi-functional aspects. It is obvious that differentiated strategies are needed to create values from agricultural production, and a liberal arts education can play an important role in making these strategies. However, training programs for future agricultural CEOs of the Korea National Agricultural College(KNAC) attaches too much importance on production skill and management rather than focusing on a liberal arts education. On the other hand, Poolmoo Ecological Agriculture Course carried out by Poolmoo Agriculture Technical High School located in Hongseong-Gun, Chungnam Province (which puts a high value on ecological fanning) gives more weight on a liberal arts education, taking up more than 50% of the curriculum. Also, the National Farmers Academy in Japan which reformed its whole system in 2008, has started various liberal arts educational programs. The Academy fosters creative agricultural management, attractive rural development enhancing a comfortable rural life and educates on the future of Japanese food and international environment. It is expected that the ecological and cultural roles of farming will grow in the future. So, what the KNAC needs is to increase its liberal arts educational programs and various cultural experiences in its educational curriculum to promote agricultural marketing with cultural knowledge and sensitivity.

교양교육으로서의 소프트웨어(SW) 교육의 중요성과 필요성은 사회적 공감이 이루어졌다. 하지만, SW 교양교육 학습자의 학습 동기는 다양한 이유로 인해 낮게 유지되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 SW 교양교육에서 학습동기 및 이의 변화에 관한 이해가 필요하지만, 관련 연구가 부족한 것이 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 SW 교육 학습자들의 한 학기 동안의 학습동기 변화를 살펴보기 위해 3 × 2 성취목표 모델을 이용해 성취목표 변화를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 학생들의 성취목표는 집단수준과 개인 수준 모두에서 안정적이었으나, 각 하위 성취목표의 순서는 기존 연구와 차이를 보였다. 또한, 교실목표구조의 숙달목표는 기존 연구보다 높은 강한 상관관계를 보였으나, 수행목표는 일부 회피 목표와만 상관관계가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 이는 SW교양교과에서의 학습동기는 기존 교양교과와 다른 특징을 가지고 있으므로 SW교과에서 사용하는 교실목표구조 유형에 따른 추가 연구가 필요함을 의미한다.

본 논문은 인문학이 실용적이지 않다는 선입견에 대해 비판한다. 우선 지식에 대한 최근의 새로운 모형과 그에 따른 교육학 흐름의 변화를 소개한다. 새로운 지식관으로 전체론을, 새로운 교육이론으로 구성주의를 소개한다. 이와 함께 또 하나의 주목할 만한 현상이 '언어적 전환'이다. 언어는 문화의 중요한 요소이지만 문화 자체가 언어적 속성을 지닌다는 점에서 특별한 요소이다. 따라서 문화는 일종의 텍스트로 볼 수 있기 때문에, 문화를 연구대상으로 삼으며 언어와 맥락 등의 이해와 분석을 주로 맡았던 인문학이 세계를 읽고 구성하는데 큰 역할을 담당할 수 있음을 깨달을 수 있다. 인문학 대학원에서의 수업과 같은 전통적인 인문연구 교육방식의 회복이 현재의 사회 변화에 적절한 새로운 '실용성'을 만족시킬 수 있음을 보이려 한다. 다만 학문적 기여가 중요하다. 또한 '지식기반사회'라는 새로운 환경은 또 다른 이유로 이 글의 주장을 강화한다. 지식의 빠른 변화는 종래의 암기식, 주입식 교육보다 지식의 통합과 재구성을 통한 문제해결 능력을 기르는 교육을 요구하기 때문이다.

Social awareness of mathematics and academic attitudes toward the value of mathematics education has kept changing according to the intellectual, political and religious contexts. In this article, we examine how mathematics was defined and recognized in liberal arts education of the Roman Empire and early medieval Western Europe. This study analyzes how mathematics was described in encyclopedic works written in the Roman era after the mid-second century BC and in the Western European monasteries and cathedral schools after the fifth century. Ancient Greek mathematics took a clear place in liberal arts education through encyclopedia writings and prepared a mathematics curriculum for medieval universities. I hope this study will contribute to understanding the origin and context of the mathematics curriculum of medieval universities.

The rapid change in school mathematics curricula occurred over last some periods requires lots of change or improvement in the education method for the university mathematics, especially in calculus. As an effort in this direction we restrict our concern to the freshmen of year 2002 of the Korea university of technology and education to investigate a correlation between their mathematics score on the national entrance examination and achievement score measured by their final grades in a calculus course. As a result of this research we propose a step-wise level educational model for the calculus education. In the model an appropriate teaching contents and method proceeding through the three steps are suggested and implementation issues are discussed. We believe that carrying out mathematics curricular are suggested in the model will be of service to calculus education particularly for student under the 7th national curriculum reform.

대학교에서 컴퓨터 관련 학과를 졸업하거나 관련된 직업을 갖지 않은 자를 말하는 비전공자의 SW교육에서 교양교육을 접하는 학습자는 처음 접하는 SW 개발환경과 이해, 전공과의 관련성, 융합 사고능력 등의 어려움을 겪게 된다. 교양교육에서 비전공 학습자의 어려움을 보완하고자 비교적 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 소프트웨어를 활용하여 SW교육 초보자에게 적용할 수 있는 시연 중심모델을 활용하였다. 실생활에서 사용되는 애플리케이션과 문제해결의 논리적 흐름을 파악할 수 있도록 교수자의 시연과 학습자의 모방을 통한 반복적인 구현과 학습자의 학습 만족도와 성취도를 높이기 위한 학습지표를 결합한 융합 SW 교수법을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 교수학습법을 적용한 실험에서 SW 교육의 학습 효과, 학업 성취도, 학습 만족도, 교수학습법 측면을 평가할 때 의미 있는 결과를 보였다.

본 연구는 일반계 고등학교 학생을 대상으로 문과 이과의 판별을 위한 검사지를 제작하여 진로를 선택할 때 도움을 주고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 적성 검사 외에 문과 이과를 판별하기 위한 도구의 필요성을 설문지를 통하여 확인하고, 문과 이과를 판별하기 위해 퍼즐을 활용한 검사지를 제작하여 1차 검사를 실시하였다. 1차 검사 결과를 토대로 2차 검사지를 만들고, 문과 이과를 판별하는 알고리즘을 작성하였다. 2차 검사지와 문과 이과 판별 알고리즘으로 일반계 고등학생, 대학생, 대학원생 등 다양한 대상에게 2차 검사를 실시한 결과 만족할 만한 결과를 도출하였다.

사운드아트(Sound Art 또는 Sonic Art)는 20세기 중반부터 주로 유럽과 미대륙을 중심으로 실천되어 온 현대예술의 한 지류로 우리나라에서는 일반적으로 다원예술 분야로 간주하거나 현대음악이나 미디어아트의 하위장르(subgenre)로 인식되는 경향이 있다. 2000년대 이후 지금까지 북미와 유럽의 일부 유수 대학에서 전공으로 개설되어 이 분야를 전문적으로 연구하거나 실천적인 작가로 활동을 하는 인재들을 사회로 배출하고 있기는 하지만 아직은 비주류적 예술 분야로 간주되는 것이 실상이고, 국내의 대학에서는 아직 사운드아트를 주전공으로 개설한 학교를 찾아 보기는 어려운 것이 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 창의적 융복합 교양교과로서 실제로 국내 4년제 종합대학에서 운영하는 <현대사회의 사운드아트>라는 교양교과목 수업모형과 교수법의 소개와 함께 고등교육의 교양학습으로서 사운드아트 활용의 가능성을 논의한다.

Objectives: This literature review seeks to identify the current status of the liberal arts education of dental hygiene majors offered by universities in Korea and the U.S. and provide a comparative analysis of the data on liberal arts education in both countries. Methods: From April 3, 2017 to May 1, 2017, research data on curriculum topics were collected from 60 selected universities. The data were collected from university websites, which also provided the universities' emails and dental hygiene major descriptions. We calculated the descriptive statistics of the variables and performed independent t-tests on the data. Results: In all the domains of the NCS and K-CESA, the dental hygiene major currently offers courses on language and communication and general education, focusing on self-management and development. Few universities offer subjects from other disciplines. Conclusions: Pro-actively exploring strategies is a prerequisite to the systematic operation of standardized dental hygiene education. It is imperative to conduct research consistently on relevant topics, such as teaching methods, general education standards, and connectivity between major subjects and the goals and effects of exposure to a general education.
