This paper attempts to show how DEA(data envelopment analysis), a nonparametric productivity analysis method, can be employed for insurance companies to improve their respective efficiencies and competitiveness. Specifically, we measured relative technical efficiencies and returns to scale of 11 Korean property-liability insurance companies using BCC model, and raised several issues including the cause of inefficiency, benchmarking toward reference set and resource allocation concerning the insurance companies. Also, in order to monitor the variability of the research results over periods, we employed longitudinal analysis to see the moving patterns of technical efficiencies, returns to scale and frequencies included in the reference set of the individual insurance companies under consideration. The methodology and the results in this paper may also serve as a useful guideline for individual insurance companies to set their respective business strategies.

The first product liability laws went into effect in Korea in July 2002. A person who suffers personal injury or damage to property due to defects in a product may sue both the manufacturer and the seller of the product under the principles of Korea tort law. This paper presents an integrated methodology which is called the QDRD(Quality deployment and reliability deployment) for hazards analysis in new product designs. QDRD applies QFD, FMEA and FTA to identify the hazards component, hazardous situations and hazardous events which could lead to an accident. An example is provided to demonstrate hazards analysis on a product using the QDRD method.

This study analyzed the correlation between the sources of the complaints and various factors such as gender, garment type, fabric type, textile material and washing methods for products. This survey utilized a total of 2,609 consumer apparel product complaint cases filed with the Korea Consumer Agency between 1997 and 2009. In regards to consumer liability: it was found that more incidents of failures due to carelessness were reported among men's clothes, knitted garments, cotton clothes, polyester clothes, wool blend clothes, pants, shirts, sportswear, and laundry only clothes. In regards to dry cleaner's liability: women's goods, woven clothes, silk clothes, cotton blend clothes, jackets, shirts and hanbok, and dry clean only clothes indicated problems more frequently. In regards to manufacture's liability: women's clothes, woven clothes, wool clothes, silk clothes, wool blend clothes, polyester blend clothes, formal dress clothes, jackets, hanbok, and dry clean only clothes indicated problems more frequently. This study provides consumers with information necessary to take preventive measures and basic information that can be utilized to improve the quality of production and services by understanding the sources of dissatisfaction, type of clothes found with problems, and the main causes of consumer complaints for garment products according to who is liable.

우리나라의 "제조물책임법" 시행 후 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 보완하기 위해 화재조사 제도의 개선이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 제조물책임법의 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 현재 시행되고 있는 국내 외 화재조사의 특성을 알아보고 비교하여 경찰화재조사, 소방화재조사, 사설 화재감정의 기관별 화재조사의 목적과 문제점을 파악하였다. 그에 따른 개선방안으로는 첫째, 민간 사설 화재감식, 감정, 해석 업체의 필요성 둘째, 화재조사 제도의 소방, 경찰의 일원화 셋째, 대학에 화재 감정 관련학과 설립과 감정업 자격 제도 신설 등을 제안하였다.

The international trade is basically founded on the contract of international sale of goods and backed up by the contract of international carriage of goods and the contract of insurance in the goods carried. For the efficient development of international trade, it is essential to incorporate the above three fields closely together. Economic growth has developed international trade which has accelerated the development of international carriage of goods. As a result of rapid expansion of international carriage of goods, rationalization of transport was required, which has brought about the International Multimodal Transport System(herein after referred to as 'IMT') through containerization. International multimodal transport system has affected international trade a lot, especially the field of insurance a great deal. The aim of this paper is to analyze contents of Multimodal Transport Operator's(MTO's) liability system in the UN Convention on International Multimodal Transport of Goods, 1980 and FIATA Bill of Lading(FBL) as one of current Multimodal Transport Documents. The analysis of MTO's liability system will be a good introductory concept for the further study of insurance problems for the development of IMT.

The article is devoted to the study of the issue of liability for the dissemination of inaccurate information on the Internet. The article emphasizes that now the public opinion of socially active segments of the population is mainly formed on the basis of not critical but subjective ("consumer") analysis of the received information. The modern realities show that the main source of its origin is the Internet: electronic media and, above all, the relevant social networks. The problem of dissemination by the mass media of inaccurate information obtained via the Internet is solved; it is seen in bringing the laws of Ukraine, which regulate public relations regarding the dissemination of information, into compliance with the Civil Code of Ukraine. The issues of development and implementation of new legislative acts aimed at regulating the status of subjects of informational relations on the Internet and establishing the grounds for their liability are also investigated.

Since enactment of the Product Liability Act(PLA) on July 2002, Enterprises in Korea should be insured the Product Liability under the Act. Therefore they had to make a special team and organize it to match with the Act. However, some enterprises didn't follow and prepare the team for the dispute resolution. For example, in America, many enterprises had been attacked the PLA and in Japan, as well. but Korea is rare for the PLA. Thus, this is to research the PLA for protecting the disputes. Upon this study, 1 would like to suggest some issues and a revision of the PLA. Those are the purpose of my research. In this study, it consists of 5 chapters for achieving the purpose of the research. Introduction of this study is mentioned in Chapter 1, and Chapter 2 is for outline of the PLA in Korea. At Chapter 3, the cases are analyzed in the disputes of importers to address important things we have to check. After the analysis, resolution methods in general on import practices are suggested at Chapter 4. Also, this study is summarized at Chapter 5 including further research. In this research, 1 find out complex of Product Liability insurance and issues related with PLA. For protecting the issues and disputes; importers should prepare a agreement of arbitration during the preparation of contracts. Nothing can be better than prevention on any disputes, but they can be happened sometimes without any intentions or by mistake. Solving these issues, the resolution methods of this research are the most valuable. The mediation and the negotiation do not force any legal matters. So, the dispute through them does not have a positive resolution, and the effectiveness of them is very low. Due to the resolution of issues, arbitration is a desirable resolution. In Korea, most people do not know about the arbitration due to the lack of understanding of arbitration. Currently arbitration related with Product Liability has not been followed up promptly because procedures and judgement from a court take for a long time. In sum, in order to solve the disputes properly, they should be supported by the arbitration system to concrete essential objectives, so to speak, protection of the victim and the improvement of arbitration. In addition, the systematic arrangements would be required to carry out all the methods above mentioned. Those are for manufacturers, importers, and customers for the dispute resolution.

공동주택의 공종별 책임 하자 보증기간은 과학적인 분석에 근거를 두지 않고 있어. 기간의 적절성이 분쟁의 원인이 되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 2010~2011기준 국토교통부 하자심사 분쟁조정위원회에 접수된 하자제기건수 중 공동주택 하자 중 가장 많이 제기된 마감공사의 하자실태를 파악하여 하자보수기간의 적절성을 평가하고자 하였다. 마감공사의 하자청구건수를 분석한 결과 대부분의 공종별 하자는 2년 이후에도 나타나고 있으며, 60% 정도만이 하자담보책임기간 내에 청구되고 있는 실정이다. 공종별 하자는 상호간에 연관성을 가지고 있으며 이러한 점은 시공의 관리 차원에서 고려되어 공법의 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 공동주택의 선호도에 큰 영향을 끼치는 시공능력평가 순위와 하자발생의 상관성이 낮은 것으로 보아 실제 수행하는 전문업체의 하자관련 검증 절차가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

The article discusses the results of a quantitative analysis of open educational resources in the field of information technology. Study is based on a study of the content of ten platforms that provide access to open resources (OPs). To achieve this goal, we used the following methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of Internet sources to determine the popularity of educational platforms and resources on them; quantitative data analysis to determine the relative proportion of IT courses in various parameters: the relative weight of courses in the IT field in general and on each platform in particular, the language of instruction, the quantitative content by thematic areas. The following platforms providing access to open educational resources were subjected to quantitative analysis: Coursera, Edx, Udemy, MIT OpenCourseWare, OpenLearn, Intuit, Prometheus, UoPeople, Open Learning Initiative, Maidan Open University.
