Recently, the rapid development of drones is increasing as a variety of threats to important facilities of the country. In order to build an anti-drone system that responds to drones with high technical characteristics, standardization is required in terms of operation, system, and technology. By applying the defense architecture framework, it contributes to the establishment of the optimal system by proposing a standardization plan for the operational and system perspectives of the anti-drone system by creating outputs equivalent to the stage of prior research on weapons systems. It is a prerequisite for building a drone system the operational concept of the anti-drone system, the definition of the drone threat, the function of each component, the interface, the definition of data flow, the system performance and effect scale, etc. Management, security officers, and equipment manufacturers of important national and public facilities on site expect that it will be used as an objective standard at the government level for the component technology of the equipment to respond to the drone threat and the performance required in the environment.
Apache Spark is a fast and general-purpose cluster computing package. It provides a new abstraction named resilient distributed dataset, which is capable of support for fault tolerance while keeping data in memory. This type of abstraction results in a significant speedup compared to legacy large-scale data framework, MapReduce. In particular, Spark framework is suitable for iterative machine learning applications such as logistic regression and K-means clustering, and interactive data querying. Spark also supports high level libraries for various applications such as machine learning, streaming data processing, database querying and graph data mining thanks to its versatility. In this work, we introduce the concept and programming model of Spark as well as show some implementations of simple statistical computing applications. We also review the machine learning package MLlib, and the R language interface SparkR.

High speed computer, large scale storage device and high speed computer network are computing infrastructure which we can easily access to in these days. However, many computer simulations in natural or applied science such as molecular simulation require more computing power as well as larger scale of storage. Grid computing which is a next generation of distributed computing environment, is one of solution for the new requirements. Even though many researches have been going on Grid computing, those are oriented to communication interface and protocols, and middleware like globus tool kits[2, 3]. Therefore research on application level platform or application itself is yet premature and it makes real users be difficult to utilize Grid system for their research. In this paper, we suggest a new user environment and an abstract job model for simulation experiments on MGrid(Molecular Simulation Grid). It will make users be able to utilize Grid resources efficiently and reliably.
Distributed Models have relative weak points due to the amount of computer memory and calculation time required for calculating water flow using a numerical analysis based on kinematic wave theory when compared to the conceptual models used so far. Typically, the distributed models have been mainly applied to small basins. It was necessary to decrease the resolution of the grid to make it applicable for large scale watersheds, and because it would take up too much time to calculate using a higher resolution. That has been one of the more difficult factors in applying the model for actual work. In this paper, MPI (Message Passing Interface) technique was applied to solve the problem of calculation time as it is one of the demerits of the distributed model for performing physical and complicated numerical calculations for large scale watersheds. The comparison studies were performed a single domain and a divided small domain in Yongdam Dam watershed in case of typoon 'Ewiniar' at 2006. They were compared to analyze the application effects of parallelization technique. As a result, a maximum of 10 times the amount of calculation time was saved but keeping the level of quality for discharge by using parallelization code rather than a single processor.

Groundwater is the main water resource in Jeju Island because storage of surface water in reservoir is difficult in the island due to the permeable volcanic rocks. Because of this reason, the groundwater is expected to be very vulnerable to seawater intrusion by global warming, which will cause sea level rise. The long term change of mean sea level around the Korean Peninsula including Jeju Island was analyzed for this study. The sea level rise over the past 40 years was estimated to be of $2.16\;{\pm}\;1.71\;mm/yr$ around the Korean Peninsula. However, the rising trend around the eastern part of Jeju Island was more remarkable. In addition, the groundwater/seawater intrusion monitoring network operated by the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province shows that seawater intrusion becomes more prominent during dry 4-5 months in a year when the sea level increases. This implies that the fresh groundwater lens in the eastern part of Jeju Island is influenced by the sea level rise due to global warming in the long term scale.

In the current paper, a series of advanced 3D finite element analyses have been performed on existing pieces of work of negative skin friction from a geotechnical centrifuge test and full-scale field measurements. From these analyses, key features of pile behaviour under the influence of negative skin friction which, previously, were not fully understood in existing studies, have been meticulously discussed. As such, it has been possible to successfully address several numerical modelling issues such as negative skin friction induced pile settlements and group effects (the shielding effect), the effect of sacrificial piles in groups and the interaction between the pile head and the cap, the effect of interface elements at the pile-soil interface and the time-dependent pile behaviour. During a geotechnical centrifuge test, substantial amounts of negative skin frictions were mobilised when centrifugal acceleration increased from 1g to a certain g-level due to an increase in the self-weight of soil. The behaviour of piles inside a group were heavily affected by the sacrificial piles and the connectivity between the pile head and the pile cap. In particular, as negative skin friction has time dependent qualities associated with consolidation, it was logical to perform coupled analyses when analysing piles in consolidating grounds. From the current work, several insufficiencies of previous researches have been addressed, and the engineering pile behaviour subjected to negative skin friction has been clarified.
Zoom has been most popularly used as a non-face-to-face online class tool since COVID19, but due to the recent spread of the metaverse, the use of the metaverse platform is increasing. In particular, since a metaverse platform 'Spatial' provides online classroom creation and various learning functions, and various interactions between instructors and learners or learners and learners are possible, it is highly likely to be used in university classes. Since Zoom and Spatial each have their own strengths and weaknesses for the purpose of class use, it is necessary to find out the strengths and weaknesses of each by comparing and analyzing the learner's experience in class use. In this study, a quantitative analysis of usability, immersion, and satisfaction and a qualitative analysis of individual opinions were performed in order to compare and analyze the learner's experience. SUS (System Usability Scale) was used for usability evaluation, and Magnitude Estimation method was used for immersion and satisfaction evaluation. Thirty-five people who had participated in classes using Zoom and Spatial participated as subjects in this study. Zoom was higher than Spatial at the significance level of 0.05 in usability and satisfaction. On the other hand, the immersion in class was higher in Spatial than in Zoom. Since Spatial provides online classroom creation and various learning functions, and provides various interactions and fun elements between instructors and learners or learners and learners, the immersion in classes was high. If the user interface and interaction of Spatial are improved in the future, it is judged that it can be used as an effective online teaching tool that can replace zoom in university classes.

A main objective of audio equalizer is for user to tailor acoustic frequency response to increase sound comfort and example applications of audio equalizer includes large-scale audio system to portable audio such as mobile MP3 player. Up to now, all the audio equalizer requires manual setting to equalize frequency bands to create suitable sound quality for each genre of music. In this paper, we propose an intelligent audio graphic equalizer system that automatically classifies the music genre using music content analysis and then the music sound is boosted with the given frequency gains according to the classified musical genre when playback. In order to reproduce comfort sound, the musical genre is determined based on two-step hierarchical algorithm - coarse-level and fine-level classification. It can prevent annoying sound reproduction due to the sudden change of the equalizer gains at the beginning of the music playback. Each stage of the music classification experiments shows at least 80% of success with complete genre classification and equalizer operation within 2 sec. Simple S/W graphical user interface of 3-band automatic equalizer is implemented using visual C on personal computer.

In this study, we fabricate a superhydrophobic surface made of hierarchical nanostructures that combine wax crystalline structure with moth-eye structure using vacuum cluster system and measure their hydrophobicity and durability. Since the lotus effect was found, much work has been done on studying self-cleaning surface for decades. The surface of lotus leaf consists of multi-level layers of micro scale papillose epidermal cells and epicuticular wax crystalloids [1]. This hierarchical structure has superhydrophobic property because the sufficiently rough surface allows air pockets to form easily below the liquid, the so-called Cassie state, so that the relatively small area of water/solid interface makes the energetic cost associated with corresponding water/air interfaces smaller than the energy gained [2]. Various nanostructures have been reported for fabricating the self-cleaning surface but in general, they have the problem of low durability. More than two nanostructures on a surface can be integrated together to increase hydrophobicity and durability of the surface as in the lotus leaf [3,5]. As one of the bio-inspired nanostructures, we introduce a hierarchical nanostructure fabricated with a high vacuum cluster system. A hierarchical nanostructure is a combination of moth-eye structure with an average pitch of 300 nm and height of 700 nm, and the wax crystalline structure with an average width and height of 200 nm. The moth-eye structure is fabricated with deep reactive ion etching (DRIE) process. $SiO_2$ layer is initially deposited on a glass substrate using PECVD in the cluster system. Then, Au seed layer is deposited for a few second using DC sputtering process to provide stochastic mask for etching the underlying $SiO_2$ layer with ICP-RIE so that moth-eye structure can be fabricated. Additionally, n-hexatriacontane paraffin wax ($C_{36}H_{74}$) is deposited on the moth-eye structure in a thermal evaporator and self-recrystallized at $40^{\circ}C$ for 4h [4]. All of steps are conducted utilizing vacuum cluster system to minimize the contamination. The water contact angles are measured by tensiometer. The morphology of the surface is characterized using SEM and AFM and the reflectance is measured by spectrophotometer.

This paper presents a new real-time system design methodology for embedded system as well as event-driven real time application. It is required to implement a deadline handling mechanism in order to satisfy a large-scale distributed real time application. When we design real time system, it has handled a deadline and is important to measure / control a timing issue. These timing constraints usually associated with an interface between model and system. There are many case tools that supporting a real time application, for example, UML, graphic language for designing real time system, but they cannot provide efficient way to handle deadline miss. Therefore, users have to design deadline handler manually when they need to use it. This paper contributes solving the problems of user-level deadline handling for an embedded system. Also, it also discusses an efficient deadline handler design mechanism using on RoseRT, which is a graphical CASE tool supporting from UML.
