교수-학습 활동 데이터기반 학습자 활동 모델링 (Learner Activity Modeling Based on Teaching and Learning Activities Data)

  • 교수-학습 지원 시스템에서 교수자와 학습자의 참여 활동 데이터를 활용하여 성공적으로 과정을 이수할 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 학습 분석이 활용되고 있다. 즉, 학습 분석은 학습자의 학습활동을 이해하기 위한 방법이다. 교수-학습 활동 데이터를 보다 유용하게 활용하기 위해서는 데이터 모델이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사용자 중심의 학습양식과 학습객체 데이터모델(LSLODM)을 제안한다. 이는 사용자, 학습양식, 학습객체, 학습활동을 결합하여 표현한 것이다. LSLODM은 이를 기반으로 교수-학습 데이터를 수집하고, 교수-학습 활동 요소의 속성들을 최근성, 빈도성, 지속성을 정량적으로 파악할 수 있도록 한 것이다. 즉, 단위 과목에서 학습자의 교수-학습 활동을 분석할 수 있는 토대를 마련한 것이다.

  • Teaching and learning are one of the major issues during this pandemic (COVID-19). Since the pandemic started, there are many changes in teaching and learning styles as everything related to studies started online. Game-Based Learning has got remarkable importance in the educational system and pedagogy as an effective way of increasing student inspiration and engagement. In this field, most of the work has been carried out in digital games. This research uses an Animated Game-Based Learning design in enhancing student engagement and perception of learning. In teaching Computer Science (CS) concepts in higher education, to enhance the pedagogy activities in CS concepts, more specifically the concepts of "Data Structures (DS)" i.e., Array, Stack, and Queue concepts are focused. This study aims to observe the difference in students' learning with the use of different learning methods i.e., the traditional learning (TL) method and the Animated Game-Based Learning (AGBL) Method. The experimental results show that learning DS concepts has been improved by the AGBL method as compared to the TL method.

수학 학습유형과 문제 해결 전략 (Relationships between Mathematical Learning Styles and the Selection of Mathematical Problem Solving Strategies : Focused on the 1st Grade High School Students)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the selection difference of mathematical problem solving strategy by mathematical learning style, that is, the intellectual, emotional, and physiological factors of students, to allow teachers to instruct the mathematical problem solving strategy most pertinent to the student personality, and ultimately to contribute to enhance mathematical problem solving ability of the students. The conclusion of the study is the followings: (1) Students who studies with autonomous, steady, or understanding-centered effort was able to solve problems with more strategies respectively than the students who did not; (2) Student who studies autonomously or reconfirms one's learning was able to select more proper strategy and to explain the strategy respectively than the students who did not; and (3) The differences of the preference to the strategy are variable, and more than half of the students were likely to select frequently the strategy 'to use a formula or a principle' regardless of the learning style.

QAR 전략이 초등학교 5학년 학생의 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of QAR Strategy on 5th Graders' Scientific Attitude in Elementary Schools)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 자기질문전략 중 QAR(Question-Answer-Relationship) 전략을 적용한 과학수업이 학습유형에 따라 초등학교 5학년 학생들의 과학적 태도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보는 것이다. 따라서 연구대상은 초등학교 5학년 4개 학급 97명을 대상으로 실험집단 49명과 비교집단 48명을 선정하였다. 수업실시 전과 후, 각 집단을 대상으로 검사를 실시하여 자기질문전략이 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 또한 실험집단 학생을 대상으로 Kolb의 자기보고식 학습유형 검사를 실시하여 학습유형에 따른 과학적 태도의 변화를 비교 분석 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 이 연구에서 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 과학적 태도에 있어 수업 실시 후 실험집단과 비교집단 사이에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 실험집단의 학습유형을 분류한 결과 적응자(46.9%), 수렴자(24.5%), 분산자(20.4%), 융합자(8.2%) 순이었다. 자기질문전략을 적용한 수업 후 과학적 태도에 있어 학습유형 집단 간에는 통계적인 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았으나 학습유형 중 융합자 보다는 적응자, 수렴자, 분산자의 과학적 태도에 더 긍정적인 영향을 끼쳤다.

Development and Distribution of Deep Fake e-Learning Contents Videos Using Open-Source Tools

  • Purpose: Artificial intelligence is widely used, particularly in the popular neural network theory called Deep learning. The improvement of computing speed and capability expedited the progress of Deep learning applications. The application of Deep learning in education has various effects and possibilities in creating and managing educational content and services that can replace human cognitive activity. Among Deep learning, Deep fake technology is used to combine and synchronize human faces with voices. This paper will show how to develop e-Learning content videos using those technologies and open-source tools. Research design, data, and methodology: This paper proposes 4 step development process, which is presented step by step on the Google Collab environment with source codes. This technology can produce various video styles. The advantage of this technology is that the characters of the video can be extended to any historical figures, celebrities, or even movie heroes producing immersive videos. Results: Prototypes for each case are also designed, developed, presented, and shared on YouTube for each specific case development. Conclusions: The method and process of creating e-learning video contents from the image, video, and audio files using Deep fake open-source technology was successfully implemented.

헤어와 메이크업 일러스트레이션 기법 연구 -사실적 표현기법에 의한 작품제작을 중심으로- (A Study of Hair and Make up illustration Techniques -focusing on production based on graphical expression techniques-)

  • This research is to provide practical help in learning hair and makeup illustration skills by presenting techniques for hair and makeup drawing; to serve efficient illustration education; and to enhance the status of beauty and contribute to artistic development. Hair style and makeup techniques include graphical one, pattern-centered one, one using pattern paper, simplifying one and mood one expressing image. Of them, this research made the illustrations to use cosmetics, color pencils and pastel based on the graphical technique. for each design of the illustrations, ethnic, sexy, natural, romantic and gorgeous images, which were considered to be appropriate to the graphical technique, were chosen by the researcher out of hair and makeup styles that appeared in the fashion magazines including Vogue, Gap, Mode et Mode from 2000 through 2001. In particular, they were chosen with focusing on basic styles. The summaries below were found with the experience of making illustrations. Various techniques and skills are required to express the ideas of hair and makeup styles. Of them, the graphical technique is very useful as the primary step to learn various techniques and improve drawing skills. First, the graphical technique may enable not only expressing what is desired to draw as is, but also accurately representing hair and makeup designs so as to convey objective expression. In this regard, it is a proper way to achieve its inherent purpose as conveyance of messages. Second, more accurate styling of hair and makeup is available through graphical expression, which helps understand related practical techniques. In addition, makeup illustration, which is expressed through direct makeup products and instruments, may serve skill improvement since such direct use provides the feeling of real makeup. Third, the graphical technique as a basic drawing skill may unrestrictedly show the artist's expression ability. Fourth, although artistic merits implying individuality and creativity should be shared through illustrations that express the artist's ideas or emotions, the graphical technique is the easiest method to beginners who just started learning of illustration, in that it enables expression without highly advanced skills.

A Study of Visitor Behavior in Informal Learning Setting: A Natural History Museum

  • This study was designed to determine whether visitor behavior at science museums differs across various exhibit styles and between Family and Non Family groups. Eight exhibits in the natural history sections of the national science museum located in Daejeon were identified to have distinctive characteristics and styles. At each selected exhibit, visitor behavior was observed for an hour. An average of eighty people stopped by each exhibit. Descriptive analyses of visitors behaviors showed that: 1) families spent more time than non-family visitors; 2) families paid more attention to exhibits, for instance, they talked and commented about the exhibits; 3) exhibit characteristics related to holding power and attention span; 4) families more frequently visited exhibits related to school curriculum rather than ones that looked attractive, fun or novel. Visitors did not play with sensory simulation types of exhibits as much as expected. This implicates that exhibit style does not guarantee long visitors holding time and attracting power. Non-significant results are explained in terms of environmental and exhibit-related factors. Several potential factors including visitor factors, setting factors, and exhibit factors are discussed and explored with topics proposed for future study.

Deep Learning based Human Recognition using Integration of GAN and Spatial Domain Techniques

  • Real-time human recognition is a challenging task, as the images are captured in an unconstrained environment with different poses, makeups, and styles. This limitation is addressed by generating several facial images with poses, makeup, and styles with a single reference image of a person using Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN). In this paper, we propose deep learning-based human recognition using integration of GAN and Spatial Domain Techniques. A novel concept of human recognition based on face depiction approach by generating several dissimilar face images from single reference face image using Domain Transfer Generative Adversarial Networks (DT-GAN) combined with feature extraction techniques such as Local Binary Pattern (LBP) and Histogram is deliberated. The Euclidean Distance (ED) is used in the matching section for comparison of features to test the performance of the method. A database of millions of people with a single reference face image per person, instead of multiple reference face images, is created and saved on the centralized server, which helps to reduce memory load on the centralized server. It is noticed that the recognition accuracy is 100% for smaller size datasets and a little less accuracy for larger size datasets and also, results are compared with present methods to show the superiority of proposed method.

구성주의 관점에 기초한 중학교 「기술·가정」 교과서의 식생활 교육내용 및 내용 전달 방식 분석 (Contents and Pedagogical Styles of Food and Nutrition in Middle School 「Technology·Home Economics」 Textbooks from the Constructivist Perspective)

  • 본 연구는 구성주의 관점에서 중학교 가정교과서 식생활 영역의 교육내용과 내용 전달 방식을 분석하여, 가정교과서의 식생활 영역이 구성주의 학습을 증진시킬 수 있는지를 파악하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 2015 개정 가정과 교육과정에 기초하여 집필된 「기술·가정」교과서 12권을 대상으로 분석하였다. 식생활 교육내용은 객관주의 관점의 2015 개정 가정과 교육과정과 구성주의 관점의 실천적 문제 중심 교육과정을 기초로 각각 추출한 학습요소를 준거로 분석하였다. 교육내용의 전달 방식은 본문과 활동과제를 중립적, 지시적, 설득적, 참여적 정보제공의 네 가지 유형을 준거로 분석하였다. 이 중 설득적, 참여적 정보제공 유형은 구성주의 관점의 내용 전달 방식에 해당한다. 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 식생활 영역의 교육내용을 분석한 결과, 2015 개정 가정과 교육과정의 반영률은 분석 대상 교과서 평균 92.9%로, 학습요소 14개 중 평균적으로 13개의 학습요소가 분석 대상의 교과서에서 충분하게 다루어지고 있었다. 실천적 문제 중심 교육과정의 반영률은 분석 대상 교과서 평균 72.4%로, 학습요소 26개 중 평균적으로 약 18개가 분석 대상의 교과서에서 비교적 충분하게 다루어지고 있었다. 이를 실천적 문제 해결과정별로 보면, '가치 목표 관련 개념'에 해당하는 학습요소를 제외한 '실천적 문제(영양과 건강) 관련 개념', '맥락 관련 개념', '행동(대안) 관련 개념', '결과(파급효과) 관련 개념'에 해당하는 학습요소는 불충분하게 다루어지고 있었으며, 특히 '맥락 관련 개념'에 해당하는 학습요소는 충분하게 다루어지고 있지 않았다. 또한 분석 대상 모든 교과서에는 학습요소들이 단편적으로만 다루어지고 있어 다양한 측면에서 맥락을 고려하고 있지 않았으며 사회적 관점이 배제되어 있었다. 다음으로, 식생활 영역의 내용 전달 방식을 분석한 결과, 본문에서는 구성주의 관점의 내용 전달 방식이 22.1%(설득적: 21.4%, 참여적: 0.7%)로 낮은 비중을 차지하고 있었고, '중립적 정보제공 유형(59.9%)'의 빈도가 가장 높았다. 활동과제에서는 구성주의 관점의 내용 전달 방식이 61.9%(설득적: 1.5%, 참여적; 60.4%)의 비중을 차지하고 있었다. 그러나 '참여적 정보제공' 유형의 경우에도, 자신 및 가족의 삶을 고려한 활동과제는 많았으나, 사회적 관점까지 고려한 활동과제는 전무했다. 결론적으로, 현행 중학교 가정교과서의 식생활 영역은 구성주의 학습을 증진시키기에는 한계가 있었다.

학습클리닉프로그램이 학습부적응 아동의 인지처리양식에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Learning Clinic Program on Cognitive Processing Styles for Learning Maladjusted Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to apply the learning clinic program to the maladjusted children to help the cognitive processing style, sense type and learning strategy. The results were as follows. First, the cognitive processing style of low-grade elementary school children is divided into the concept of sequential low-order style, which analyzes information sequentially and consecutively, concrete thinking style that processes real and direct information coming in from outside, and invisible principle or information. The abstract cognitive thinking style improved after the process before the program proceeded. However, There was no meaningful result in the simultaneous processing cognitive style which had excellent intuition and emotion and likes change. Second, the temporal lobe in which the linguistic activity is viewed, heard and spoken in the sensory type, the function of the occipital lobe in which the character or the language is processed is improved, but the function of the parietal lobe in moving and manipulating the body is not significant. Finally, factors that contribute to learning such as sincerity, learning initiative, study method, study habits, and concentration are helpful in learning and school life.
