Localization of e-commerce websites is a useful tool for providing the world with business organizations and money-making enterprises. However, studies on e-Commerce website localization within the language domain are still quite limited. Thus, the study aims to investigate the relationship between the Arabic language and a wide range of e-Commerce website intentions, clarifying the indirect effects of the Arabic language on intentions to use e-Commerce websites using perceived risk and trust as mediating variables, and determining whether trust and perceived risk work as mediating variables between the Arabic language and e-Commerce website intentions. Survey data collated from participants totaling up to 264 has been used to test the research framework. The selection of these participants is based on their experiences employing e-Commerce websites. Structural equation modeling (SEM) through partial least square (PLS) software was used for the data analysis. The results show that the Arabic language, trust, and perceived risk play effective roles for e-Commerce websites adoption. More importantly, trust and perceived risk positively mediate the relationship between the Arabic language and intentions to use e-Commerce websites. Implications of the study's findings and suggestions for further research are discussed.
The present paper aims to explore the role of non-negotiated input and output in language acquisition in the context of free Web chat. In order to examine how input and output contribute to language acquisition, with or without meaning negotiation, the present study examined a Korean EFL learner's chat data collected over 6 months. Chat texts across 43 chat sessions were analyzed, along with her comment notes and interviews. The input and output negotiated for meaning were traced throughout all sessions to find evidence that they were linked to acquisition. Other input and output in the interaction were also traced to ascertain if they contributed to acquisition. The chat text analysis, comment notes, and the interviews revealed that the opportunities of meaning negotiation in a free Web chat context was quite limited and that the learner acquired language even in the absence of meaning negotiation. The findings suggest that input and output via Web chat, whether negotiated or non-negotiated, play their respective roles, contributing to different aspects of acquisition.
The purpose of the present study was to develop a new English language model of an integrated syllabus for kindergarteners, in order to teach and learn English. An English syllabus is a tool for realizing the goals of a curriculum, in the planning of language teaching that is primarily concerned with content and method components. Thus appropriate syllabus design can play an important role on the whole effectiveness of early English education, because it presents selection and grading of content and method for English textbooks. The basic principle of the present syllabus is based on the national curriculum of kindergartens. Developing an English syllabus model for kindergarteners could suggest standards and directions for teaching and writing adequate English textbooks for kindergarteners. The syllabus model integrates competence in communication using a proportional approach and focussing on the characteristics of kindergarteners. This study presented an integrated English syllabus for kindergarteners at the ages of five, six, and seven.
The aim of this article is to suggest that Samulnori will be able to produce better and more lovable language. Samulnori is a good example of the Korean music. Samulnori is originally meaning four-percussion play. Janggu and buk made of leather which were mainly cowskin and dogskin. But jing and kkaengwari made out of brass. Four percussions are an instrument composed of a pattern based on the theory of yin and yang. The principle of Samulnori rhythms are well made up of the relaxation, tension, improvisation, escalating rhythms, and dynamic sound. Samulnori looks like two lovers exchanging sweet words in the natural forest. The push and pull between four instruments like a love quarrel. The author feels that the rhythms of the four instruments are like the whispers and cries of lovers. In conclusion, the silent or passionate rhythm of Samulnori feels like two lovers' tightrope love. The author thinks it creates a rich language of love.
Language Capital is one of the most important academic abilities and competencies for new era of globalization worldwide. In Europe and Asia where English is not the native language, it is necessary to encourage higher education to improve language competency from both qualitative and quantitative aspects. In so far as online university concerned, it appears of significance to prepare for globalization from the perspective of cross border education, and it needs to focus on how to design and develop English-medium teaching (EMT) or in other words English mediated instruction(EMI) for both teachers and students. In order to provide supportive programs of English-mediated class for teachers and students, the study examined and analyzed what abilities are needed for teachers based on DACUUM approach, suggesting teachers' competency as well as strategies for online- EMT. Based on literature review, DACUUM analysis, focus group interview with teachers and students who experienced online EMT, online programs supporting both teachers and students for online EMI were developed. This program expects to play roles of practical guidelines and reference for both teachers and students online in an extension of language capital improvement.
Objective: This study aimed to explore the effect of the national preschool curriculum on children's development in Korea, focusing on teachers' daily practice. By comparing the effect of the teachers' curriculum practice to that of quantitatively measured free play, it tried to add practical implications beyond the statistical significance. Methods: Participants were 512 three-year-old children who participated in the Panel Study of Korean Children and their teachers. National curriculum practice and free play time at the age of three was put in the hierarchical linear regression models to discover children's developmental outcomes at the age of four, in domains of language, cognitive development, and social development. Results: Results demonstrated the significant positive influence of national curriculum practice on every domain of developmental outcomes. However, no facilitative influence of free play time was observed. Conclusion/Implications: The importance of teachers' practice of the national curriculum was emphasized. It was implied that the quantity of free play time itself did not assure the sound development of children. Policy implications were discussed regarding teacher practice and education.
The purpose of this study is to understand the living culture of transnational married women and to analyze the out door play of children in their hometown. The data was collected through observation from 27th June to 7th July 2008 in Jian, Jilin Province China. The children's play and lifestyles were observed, and data pertaining to the culture of the people were collected by a teacher and staff. We also visited the residents for housing information. The results are given below. 1. They dressed in Korean clothes on festive days and the boys put on a hood. They had eating habits which included cooking for themselves or buying semi-manufactured goods but did not use, instant food. The housing habits involved a combination of cooking and heating by Korean floor heating system(Ondol). They utilized outdoor space to grow vegetables. Those with a fulltime job(teacher) preferred to live in an apartment but an apartment was too expensive. Public utility charges and traffic expenses were cheap. 2. The main festive days are the lunar New Year's Day and Chuseok. The children returned home and enjoyed the festive day with their parents. The language used are Korean language and Chinese. Some Korean words and phrases in Jian Joseonjok have different meanings as compared to how they are used in Korea. A capping ceremony did not to celebrate becoming an adult from an adolescent. Couples performed a wedding ceremony at a wedding hall attended by their parents and invited relatives from both families. The relatives gave the couple a wedding gift. They did not go on a wedding trip as it was not affordable but instead spent their wedding night at a hotel in this culture. When someone dies, they bury the body after cremation. They perform a memorial service for three years on the birthday of the departed. They have a banquet on the 60th birthdays with their relatives and neighbours and are typically presented with a carp for longevity. 3. They understand capitalism and therefore send their children to school to improve their social position. The Korean and Chinese languages are required subjects in school. The students choose a second language(English or Russian). They prefer English class but at the time of this study an English class was not offered at the school in Jian Joseonjok. Therefore the children entered a Chinese school. 4. The children play outdoor games such as Y$\acute{a}$o J$\grave{i}\bar{a}$(要家), X$\grave{i}$ang g$\grave{i}$(象棋), T$\grave{i}\grave{a}$o p$\acute{i}$ j$\grave{i}$n(r)(跳皮節), D$\grave{o}$uch ing g$\grave{u}$n 凍冷根, B$\bar{e}$i B$\bar{e}$i 背背, and soccer. They play games according to the season.
Eugene O'Neill's one-act play Before Breakfast (1916) depicts a morning scene of a married couple who live in a slovenly flat at Greenwich Village. There is no apparent dramatic action occurring in the play. Instead, the play is full of Mrs. Rowland's incessant complaints about her husband Alfred's loafing around bars with artists friends, neglecting his role as breadwinner. An irony is that every morning she prepares breakfast for the good-for-nothing husband even in the moment of complaining. It is worth noting that Alfred is an 'unseen character' who is never directly observed by the audience but is only described by her wife. Deprived of all chances to speak and present himself on stage, he is kept in the room throughout the play. In contrast, Mrs. Rowland dominates the stage, monopolizing language and action. The audience has to listen to her, judge from her statements, and take her one-sided complaints. The accused husband, with zero chance of showing up and defending himself, has no choice but to be the sinner as the wife intends. Another irony is that the audience's feeling about the situation is quite different from what is expected. The wife's complaints are regarded to be unfair and groundless in the reason that the situation is monopolized by her. In case of the husband, in contrast, the loss of voice and presence stresses the injustice of his dead-lock situation. In other words, the 'absent' quality of Alfred works to evoke the audience's sympathy for himself and subsequently makes his presence recognized, not visually but emotionally, by the audience throughout the play. Discovered in this paradoxical moment where the spectators understand or 'see' the status of the unseen and the devoiced message is successfully conveyed to the listeners, is the theatricality of absence. Adding to the function as theatrical device, the 'unseen character' Alfred works as a device of self-reflection to mirror the author's own life. Alfred, the alter-ego of O'Neill, effectively exorcises the author's life-long feeling of guilty as the unfaithful husband and father in the unhappy first marriage, successfully evoking the audience's sympathy for himself.

The purpose of this study was to analyze research papers related to forest play of children's and present future research directions and basic data. 174 out of the forest play papers for children's provided to the research information sharing service (www. riss. kr) from 2009 to 2018 were studied. The number of papers according to the study was 114 published for children. Looking at the research method of forest play papers for children, 55.17% for experimental papers, 9.77% for observation papers, 17.82% for research papers, 5.75% for case studies, 6.32% for literature review papers and 5.17% for other papers. Looking at trends by target age, in the case of the papers which studied on the single age, the number of papers researching on age 3.51%) for 2 years old, 2.63% for the 3 years old, 9.65% for the 4 years old, 35.96% for the 5 years old. A total of 40.36% consisted of children aged between 2 and 5 years. A total of 7.89% were published for infants and children with handicapped. The number of theses that studied emotional development accounted for 30.7%, social development was 25.44%, cognitive development was 16.67%, self concept development was 14.04%, physical development was 6.14%, language development was 3.51% and other development was 3.51%. As a result of the above analysis, it was necessary to study the language development and the forest play.
Despite of increasing concern over environmental protection and the so-called earth crisis, the situation regarding environment keeps deteriorating and is not getting well. Human-centered ways of thinking and scientific technologies proved not to be so effective in overcoming the crisis. The situation has brought about renewed interests in ecology. The purpose of this study is to develop and provide an exemplarity that could effectively deliver the environmental education throughout the middle school Korean language courses. To do this, the study begins with establishing a set of objectives that can be pursued in Korean language courses. Having the objectives in mind as a framework of reference, the study compares and analyzes Korean language textbooks that are made out of the 6th and 7th Curricular Revision. The study takes ecological viewpoints both in analyzing texts and in establishing the exemplarity. Environmental contents can play important roles in middle and high school Korean language courses. While training language skills, the instructors with textbooks written in ecological viewpoints can deliver messages emphasizing concerns over environments. This study also provides an exemplarity of textbooks reflecting ecological concerns.
