  • As an effort to realize the results of last two years of study, this study had three distinguished purposes: 1) confirming whether some requests for corrections had been accepted or not 2) making a list of possible errors found in newly written textbooks and asking to fix them, and 3) classifying forest related contents identified in the textbooks according to the 150 topics included in information material, so called Forest IQ 200. Among 94 errors associated trees, forest or forest education, only thirteen of them were found to be fixed according to the request made in previous study of 2008. Especially, most of the fixed errors were identified to be in natural and social science subject textbooks and nothing was found in art and language areas. Total of 1,320 forest related items were found in the textbooks at the level of kindergarten to 10th grade(freshman in highschool). Korean student was expect to have a chance to learn forest related items 1.64 times a week for 10 years(First to 10th grade). Analyzing 1,109 contents in terms of four topic areas of forest education, the forest culture area was found to have most content of 348 including painting and recreation. Some suggestions were made to make school forest education better, and publishing the forest textbook for elementary schools was one of them.

  • Some Korean men choose to marry a foreigner expecting that marriage will solve all their problems. Therefore, this case study is to provide basic information on how to prevent conflicts in the marriage and how to get used to the marriage life. first, it is apparent that these match-makings between Korean men and married Female Immigrants are commercialized and are based on the two parties' convenience. Second, it is more possible that the issues with the role of husband/wife and the allocation of household labor stem from the cultural differences from international racial differences rather than Korean men are authoritative or patriarchal. It seems that the foreign brides from the third world countries choose to many Korean men with only a single purpose to financially help their parents. While neither willing to share household labor nor providing what is expected to be a wife, they demand financial assists for their parents or choose to get a job at a factory to make money. Third, the husbands expect their wives to learn Korean since there is not much opportunity to learn the wives' language and the culture. Also, the textbooks are rare to find for the languages. Moreover, the husbands do not have the enthusiasm or the ability to team due to age Fourth, the Korean men are rather psychological, financial, social victims than domestic abusers.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate levels of stress, self-esteem, and powerlessness in Korean husbands married to foreigner wives. Methods: The subjects were 183 Korean men who were living with foreigner wives in the Gwangju, Jeonnam and Jeonnbuk areas. Data were collected from January to May 2012 and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe$\acute{e}$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and backward multiple regression with the SPSS PC WIN version 18.0. Results: The average level of stress was 4.48, with difficulties in international marriage experienced by the subjects due to differences in language and culture. The average reported self-esteem score was 29.69, and the average powerlessness score 117.76. There were significant differences in perceived powerlessness depending on the employment statuses, income levels, and nationalities of the participants' wives, and their perceived levels of satisfaction with living with a foreigner wife. Powerlessness was positively correlated with stress (r=.41, p<.001), and negatively correlated with self-esteem(r=-.63, p<.001). The factors affecting the perceived powerlessness included self-esteem (${\beta}$=-.54, p<.001), stress (${\beta}$=.28, p<.001), lower income (${\beta}$=.13, p = .016), and working wife (${\beta}$=.12, p = .036). Conclusion: Healthcare providers need to explore strategies to improve self-esteem and powerlessness in Korean men married to foreigner wives.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the uncertainty as the healing function in the poetry of Robert Frost. One of the therapeutic functions in poetry therapy is to make us look into life from a new perspective, which appears in the uncertainty of his poetry. His uncertainty is based on his peculiar poetic theory and philosophy of dualism. This paper reviews these things and deals with aspects of the uncertainty in detail through his poems. The result of this study shows that Frost conveys elements of ambiguity, illogical development and unpredictability in our society and fear, loneliness and anxiety in our daily life, and also offers realistic depictions of complex life as a therapeutic medium for overcoming these problems. So it seems that his poetry provides us with a recovery of psychic health and a possibility of healing and personal growth. Furthermore we need a practical in-depth study on the healing function of English poetry.

  • In order to communicate each other we need both a system and contexts. Generally a system is called language and contexts are a common sense with a culture. If there is an absence of one of them it is impossible to understand each other. The concept of UPDP(User participating Design Process) is very similar to a communication. There must need both a system(formal tools) and a process to make consensus. Even though we already have two systems(KEBDI and PDAT) being developed by government affiliated research institutes these have not intimately related to a process to make consensus so far. In this respect the UPDP with using DQIfS of U.K. for a remodelling of Noryangjin elementary school(2013) is the most valuable because it is the first trying to communicate between laymen and professionals by menas both of a qualified system and of facilitations which have been developed from Namhansan UPDP(2001) in korea. The paper shows the process of UPDP including how to organise the members, detailed facilitation methods and the result of DQIfS analysis in U.K. Above all for the successful result the most important thing is the intimate relationship between the tool and facilitations at the beginning and user's will to build up.
