This study starts from the question about the possibility of landscape, especially the possibility to give a new vision in the aspect of publicity. Such a concept of landscape architecture made its appearance in the last decade of the 20th century, as the flexible network to include the changes and the specificity of the surroundings, which simultaneously focuses on the temporality-the uncertainty. Moreover landscape architecture can be defined as the architecture in which the interest on human activities lie in the center of the concept. By analyzing concrete examples, the landscape architecture can be defined in 3 aspects : unity of building and nature, void and public space, space of expansion. As a result of the analysis of landscape architects' statements, it can be said that the issues of publicity are always put at the starting point of landscape architecture with its attention to the way to associate an individual with the others.

It has been a recent phenomenon over 1980-1990s that the notion of Landscape has had significant position in contemporary architecture. And the execution range isn't limited to a certain area but is extended to various areas. Under such influence of trend of the times, various architectural attempts in which landscape notion is applied have been tried by the group of architects of our country which are mainly composed of young architects. This study aims to derive the features of landscape appearing in our contemporary architecture by analyzing how Landscape notion is embodied in our Landscape architecture which are claiming the expression of Landscape notion as nature, human beings and view. The purpose of the study is to suggest the limitation and the direction to go through of Korean Landscape architecture through the analysis of such features. Through the recategorization of the Landscape notion, this study reviews the features in detail shown in buildings in Heyily Art Valley which were built strongly based on the expression of the Landscape notion, the art works in Paju City of Publishing Industry and other Landscape buildings. The findings of the review show that Landscape architectural notion has been attempted not only in a certain facilities but also in various genres of architecture. And also it shows that the expression of Landscape notion is performed not by various ways but by only limited ones which are preferred.

본 연구는 'A'공사에서 발주된 아파트 단지 조경식재공사에서 발생하는 설계변경의 유형과 설계변경의 적합성 인식을 분석함으로써 향후 조경식재공사의 설계변경을 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 기초 자료 제시를 목적으로 수행하였는바 다음과 같은 결론이 도출되었다. 첫째, 2기 신도시 건설 이후 'A'공사에서 발주하여 시행된 수도권 현장 자료를 중심으로 조사 분석을 실시하여 '이미지 개선을 위한 설계변경', '설계내역의 불일치로 인한 설계변경', '현장조사 미비로 인한 설계변경', '이용자 미 고려로 인한 설계변경', '시공성의 고려로 인한 설계변경', '유지관리의 용이함을 위한 설계변경', '타 공종과의 관계로 인한 설계변경' 등 총 7가지의 조경식재공사 설계변경 유형을 구분할 수 있었다. 둘째, 17개 주거단지에서 총 553건의 조경공사 설계변경이 있었고, 그 중 조경식재공사 설계변경은 37.6%에 해당하는 208건이 나타났다. 또한, 식재 설계변경으로 인하여 생기는 공사비의 유동성으로 인해 당초 계획된 공사비의 변경으로 부정적인 영향을 낳는 것으로 파악되었다. 셋째, 조경식재공사 설계변경은 '이미지 개선에 의한 설계변경'과 '설계내역 불일치에 의한 설계변경'이 조경식재공사 설계변경에서 절대적인 부분을 차지하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 조경분야 전문가를 대상으로 타당성 검증을 실시한 결과, 본 연구에서 도출한 7가지의 조경식재공사 설계변경 유형의 통계값이 모두 유의한 것으로 나타났다.

The main purpose of this study was to propose the development direction and application method of wood as a landscape material by analysis and investigation of the present condition and characteristics of wood, which is a quite interesting natural material for its beauty as an exterior material. This study is based on the relationships between the establishment of development direction and practical use of exterior wood as a landscape material. The research method used was fieldwork and data analysis. On the analysis of the present condition of wood utilization, it was investigated to need of complement of a design aspect, use method, the limit of use type, and use range. The direction of a durable design for the practical use of exterior wood as landscape materials was established. On the use of exterior wood, first, the characteristics of wood have to be understood. Then exterior wood can be used while preserving its safety and beauty over a long time by physical and chemical treatment. At the same time, an application plan for the practical and effective use of wood as an outdoor landscape material, we concluded that future research in design aspects is needed in consideration of physical, chemical, and structural properties of durable wood materials used in outdoor facilities.

This study aims to discuss the characteristics on marketing distribution of landscape materials after consideration in the side of cognition on the present condition of marketing which is important factors for analysis in understanding the market of landscape materials. To do this, the investigation of marketing distribution are to collect data refer to purchases and sales reports and questionnaires, these results are used to analyzed the operative factor of forming market structure and problematic, improvement spot of marketing distribution. The periodic range of this paper is limited on 609 landscape materials and examination was performed from 21.Feb. to 15.Mar, in 2002. The results of the whole prices trends and marketing distribution survey can be summarized as follows : 1. Differences of cognition on marketing distribution among four group toward problematic spot on product and marketing of landscape materials was summarized as follows : 1) Group of landscape design : Interest of government, Various articles. 2) Group of landscape construction : Communication of marketing information, Role of intermediary ecc. 3) Group of landscape materials and cooperation between company and university : Interest of government ecc, 2. Differences of cognition on marketing distribution among four group toward improvemental spot on product and marketing of landscape materials was summarized as follows : 1) Group of landscape design and construction : Network of marketing distribution on landscape materials, Criterion of articles, Quality adiministration through establishment of sale level ecc.. 2) Group of landscape materials : Employment of specialist education program ecc.. 3) Group of cooperation between company and university : Conscious reformation of comsumer ecc.

Confronting with series of environmental problems. caused by urbanization and the constantly improving consciousness of the entire society towards environmental protection, it has become an inevitable trend to develop parks and green space planning that guided by the principle of 'respecting nature, preferring ecology' and integrate function, arts and culture of landscape design. Aiming at specific project, humanized design should be laid stress on. With fundamental functional construction serving as the base, the reflection of cultural content and regional landscape as the characters, using various landscape gardening elements reasonably to enrich space design as well as highlighting leisure and sport function and following the concept 'human-centered', parks and green space filled with natural vitality and cultural spirit can be constructed, people, city and the nature could develop together in harmony.

The styles of contemporary landscape design have diversified since the emergence of Postmodernism in landscape architecture. The diversification was mostly influenced by contemporary fine arts and architecture. This study examines the pluralistic development of Postmodern landscape design through the investigation of the influences from those sister arts. In this point of view, the main approaches of Postmodern landscape design are thought to be classified into three categories;'the formal abstract approach', 'the figurative approach' and 'the new picturesque approach'. The first category of the formal abstract approach was formulated with the concepts and vocabulary of Minimal Art and Installation Art. Its representative icons such as 'point grids' and 'stripes', and the main concepts such as the sense of 'flahess', 'expansion' and 'materiality' are mostly thought to be originated from these art forms. The second category of the figurative approach is characterised by the concepts and vocabulary of Pop Art and New Image Paintings. Its representative icons such as 'map' or 'figurative forms' and main concepts like the sense of 'reality', 'context' and 'symbolism' are mostly thought to be originated from these art forms. The third category of the new picturesque approach was formulated with the concepts and vocabulary of Land Art and Late Deconstructive Architecture. Its representative icons such as 'hybrid', 'layer' and 'fold', and the main concepts such as the sense of 'complexity', 'continuity' and 'reversibility' are thought to be originated from these art forms. The research shows that the main stream of contemporary landscape design seems to be gradually moving toward the second and third approach above, in step with the cultural orientation and the dynamism of contemporary urban life. Therefore, the study focused especially on the new picturesque approach which would be in greater need for coping with the hybrid culture today.

This essay addresses the role of environmental aesthetics in landscape architecture : how can environmental aesthetics enrich landscape architectural theory and practice\ulcorner It begins by criticizing the predominant notions toward theory : theory as an instrumental design method, theoretical vacuum in modernism of landscape architecture, and the intimate relation of theory and practice in 18th-century England. It suggests that the expulsion of theory in landscape architectural academics and profession is nothing but an inappropriate bias. In the second place, the essay explores a remaining question : why environmental aesthetics is a part of landscape architectural theory\ulcorner I would argue that environmental aesthetics can transcend the man-nature(subject-object) dichotomy, one of heritages of Western modernity project. Here, landscape architecture meets environmental aesthetics, and both can intermediate between theory and practice. For landscape architecture is (and ought to be) a device of embodied communication, creating symbolic settings wherein an interconnection of man and nature can occur. Finally, this essay examines the aesthetics of engagement that Arnold Berleant claimed recently. This theory of aesthetic experience has a possibility of making corrections some improper conventions in landscape architectural creation and appreciation : disinterested contemplation, visual-orientedness, decoration-denteredness, and so forth. I would conclude that environmental aesthetics can be a significant theory which can correct misconceptions in landscape design and appreciation and, further, can lead contemporary practice. As the great mediator between man and nature, between theory and practice, environmental aesthetics has a profound role to play in the realm of landscape architecture, and vice versa.

Agricultural production facilities that have been established to support improving food production, farm income, and reduction of farming time have remarkable achievements as value-neutral devices or infrastructures, but recently they are pointed out as a factor that hinders landscape by changing the contextual values of rural area. Despite this timelessness, research on the landscape design of agricultural production facilities has not been conducted until now. Based on these research necessities, this study aims to improve the process of reviewing the landscape of agricultural production facilities by analyzing the impact of activities, policies, plans. The results of this study are as follows. First, the analysis of the literature and the related data were carried out. This presents the structural limitations of why landscape review is difficult in the process of reviewing plans and the limitations of current landscape laws, deliberations, and plans. The process of reviewing the plan has formed a functionally oriented closed network, and the government policy does not properly control the landscape design of agricultural production facilities. From the viewpoint of the study, results can be used as basic data for the study of the lack of agricultural production facilities and landscape.

지능화와 정보화를 핵심으로 하는 4차 산업혁명이 2016년에 열렸다. 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명시대에 가장 주목받고 있는 가상현실(Virtual Reality: VR) 기술을 이용해서 조경설계 구현에 적용하는 접근 용이성이 강한 버츄얼 워크스루 방법을 제시하는 목적으로 시행되었다. 현재 가상현실 기술은 게임, 비상훈련 및 건축설계 등 많은 영역에서 활용되어 있지만, 조경분야에서는 초기단계에 처하고 있으며, 발전 전망이 밝다. 조경관련분야에서 대부분 전통적인 2차원 도면과 동적인 동영상을 통해 조경설계를 구현하는 방법을 사용하며, 또한 게임 제작 엔진으로 가상현실 구현하는 방식을 사용하고 있으나, 여러 한계점이 존재한다. 따라서 본 연구는 설계-구현-체험 단계로 진행하였으며, 전통적인 조경설계 구현방법을 보완시키는 버츄얼 워크스루 구현방법을 제시하고자 한다. 결과적으로 버츄얼 워크스루 방법은 전통적인 방법에 비해 체험 자유성, 각도 다양성, 정보 제공 및 상호작용 등이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 높은 품질 및 효과 표현이 가능함으로 조경분야에 적용성이 강한 것으로 볼 수 있다. 향후 조경설계 평가 및 검토 관련 연구의 평가방법을 제공하며, 가상현실 조경분야에서 간편하고 활용성이 있는 구현방법으로 기대효과를 가진다. 가상현실 기법은 조경학계의 지속적인 성장을 기여할 수 있으며, 무한한 전망을 가지고 있다.
