The aim of this study is to explore the structural relationship between recognition to environmental factor and place attachment of the users of temple forest trail in Gyeongju National Park, and to suggest political implications on conservation management of National Park from the viewpoint of landscape attachment. Survey with a structured questionnaire was implemented to visitors to the Bulkuksa, a representative temple in Geyongju National Park. Structural equation model was developed from the analysis of collected data. Results showed that place dependence positively affected place attachment in significance, whereas place identity did not significantly affect place attachment. Place attachment was affected rather by place dependence(path coefficient=0.55). Place attachment positively affected the recognition of environmental factors in significance. Landscape use factors compared to facility use factors were affected rather by place attachment(path coefficient=1.01). This result verified the importance of landscape factors of National Park, and suggested a management plan focused on the landscape conservation of forest trail of traditional temple.

In Korea, a cooperation charge on conservation of ecosystem is imposed to prevent indiscriminate development. The total amount of this charge is determined by multiplying the size of the destroyed area by a value per unit area and the area index within 5 billion won. Since 2001, the charge per unit area has been determined to be $250won/m^2$. In this study, we estimated the unit value of ecosystem services per year using benefit transfer method, with a focus on forest resources. According to our results, forest resources have a value of about $3,500won/m^2$ per year. When the non-use value is subtracted, that figure becomes approximately $1,300won/m^2$. If this value incorporates the unit value of the cooperation charge on conservation of ecosystem, it will increase. To comply with the original intent of the cooperation charge on conservation of ecosystem, the fund must be used to improve ecosystem services, including the restoration of a destroyed area or the purchase of new land.

This study conducted the survey on the resources of traditional villages based on AHP in the subjects with the specialists in Korea and China to seek the resource evaluation standards to apply the preservation and development of traditional villages, and the differences of the importance on the resources among the specialists in both countries. We classified three levels of evaluation items to aim the deductions of the importance and priority in the resources of traditional villages. Upon the analysis results, natural resources were important in the level 1; environmental, historical, facility resources were important in the level 2; and the factors such as air, topography, traditional houses, agricultural landscape, shared community facilities, interchanges between urban and rural areas, family activities, and so on were important in the level 3. The factors that both Korean and Chinese groups evaluated as the most important ones were the same. In terms of overall importance by evaluation items, the factors such as air, water quality, noise, traditional houses, topography, shared community facilities, and so on were rated as relatively important in both Korean and Chinese groups. That is, the traditional villages have the necessity to preserve the cultural resources like their duties, however, it is required to control the natural environment with good quality preferentially. This study results can compare the importance on the resources of traditional village between Korea and China. Moreover, with calculation of the priority and scores for the preservation and management of traditional villages, they are expected to be used as the tool to apply the quantitative data in the evaluation process of traditional village resources in both countries.

Stormwater reduction plays an important role in the safety and resilience to flooding in urban areas. Due to rapid climate change, the world is experiencing abnormal climate phenomena, and sudden floods and concentrated torrential rains are frequently occurring in urban basins and the amount of outflow due to stormwater increases. In addition, the damage caused by urban flooding and inundation due to extreme rainfall exceeding the events that occurred in the past increases. To solve this problem, water supply, drainage, and water supply for sustainable urban development, the water management paradigm is shifting from sewage maintenance to water circulation and water-sensitive cities. So, in this study, The purpose of this study is to examine measures to increase the resilience of urban ecosystem systems for urban excellence reduction by analyzing the effects of green infra structures and LID techniques and evaluating changes in resilience. In this study, for simulating and analysis of runoff for various stormwater patterns and LID applications, Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) was used.

Korea began preserving and managing natural monuments in 1933 under Japanese Colonization, but North Korea and South Korea were forced to establish separate natural monument management policies because of the division after the Korean Independence. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the natural monument management policies of both south and North Korea between 1933 and 2005 to introduce new policies for Korea unification. The following are the results: First, South Korea manages every type of cultural asset, including natural monuments, through the 'Cultural Heritage Protection Act,' whereas North Korea managing its cultural assets through the 'Cultural Relics Protection Act' and the 'Landmark/Natural Monument Protection Act.' Second, South Korea preserves and utilizes natural monuments for the purpose of promoting the cultural experience of Korean people and contributing to the development of world culture, whereas North Korea uses its natural monuments to promote the superiority of socialism and protect its ruling power. Third, North and South Korea have similar classification systems for animals, plants, and geology, but North Korea classifies geography as one of its natural monuments. Unlike South Korea, North Korea also designates imported animals and plants not only for the preservation and research of genetic resources, but also for their value as economic resources. Fourth, North Korea authorizes the Cabinet to designate and cancel natural monuments, whereas South Korea designates and cancels natural monuments by the Cultural Heritage Administration through the deliberation of a Cultural Heritage Committee. Both Koreas' central administrations establish policies and their local governments carry them out, while their management systems are quite different. In conclusion, it is important to establish specified laws for the conservation of natural heritages and clarified standards of designation in order to improve the preservation and management system and to sustain the diversity of natural preservation. Moreover it is also necessary to discover resources in various fields, designate protection zones, and preserve imported trees. By doing so, we shall improve South Korea's natural monument management policies and ultimately enhance national homogeneity in preparation for the reunification of the Koreas in the future.

In this study, Seongbuk-dong historical & cultural resources of the surrounding landscape were analyzed by the visual characteristics of the landscape adjective analysis. Research was investigate to the relationship between visual characteristics and preferences and Research in the following way. Selected historical and cultural resources in the surrounding area are located in Seongbuk-dong 30 slices the survey was conducted. Landscape preference factors to identify the scale of 16 adjectives and then factor analysis was conducted. Lastly, Analysis of variance and regression analysis were conducted in order to determine the impact of the last image factors on visual preferences. Firstly, The results can be summarized as follows. Officer for 30 pictures appear in Seongbuk-dong in the historical and cultural resources, and distributed around the target preference for the 16 adjectives analysis yielded an average result of overall preference were analyzed and that is a 3.72 average. In these photos, VP8, VP9, VP10, VP12, VP15; 4.5 points more than one order higher. The reason is limit of altitude by the Seoul landscape plan for the historical and cultural resources around. It also judged important reason that history and Culture are in harmony with the surrounding cultural property in the conservation area. Secondly, Important factors are factor 1(aesthetic factors), factor 2(cultural factors), factor 3(physical factors) and three factors could be identified. Results of the analysis of variance and regression analysis about factors for visual preference and image shows value of psychological factor is most significant to explain for nearby history &cultural resources of Seongbuk-dong of scenery around. As a result, the state can not view historical and cultural resources for analysis will be located in a residential area near the historical and cultural resources for aesthetic factors. Third, the negative side of the argument is a residential area which is not arranged surrounding landscape maintenance of historical and cultural resources has emerged. Historical and cultural resources in harmony with the phenomena of the physical, cultural, and aesthetic characteristics of the three areas is a positive factor in the high incidence. Factors from that are expressed in this study by analyzing multi-dimensional analysis to derive a factor to be considered important in the management of historical and cultural resources, landscape around is required.

The paradigm of the use and management of natural resources is changing. Wise use of natural resources can be achieved by enhancing their conservation value and, at the same time, taking them as an opportunity for regional development. It leads to an idea of pursuing regional development by making good use of natural resources. In this paper, natural resources were classified as living species resources, ecosystem and landscape resources, and non-living resources. The resources were divided into 27 detailed analysis indices. The administrative boundaries of 165 municipalities in Korea were defined as spatial analysis units. Finally, a spatial database of natural resources was built. To classify the regional types, we conducted factor analyses with a detailed index of natural resources and a cluster analysis with the factor value. As the result of the factor analysis, six factors have been deduced as follows: forest resources, landscape resources, coastal ecology resources, inland water resources, landform resources, and ecology visit resources. In addition, the cluster analyses were conducted for the points of the factors drawn. The final classification consists of nine groups, and appropriate methods for each regional development have been suggested. Results of this study will contribute to providing fundamental materials for site selection and objective-setting for regional development policies and planning in consideration of natural resources.
This study was carried out with the aim to provide basic data for efficient park management by analyzing satisfaction factors and estimated regression model through questionnaire survey method for the visitors to Bukhansan National Park in Korea. As a result of analysis, it was found that visitors are satisfied with such variables as 'illegal camping', 'cooking act' and 'padded bills' but extremely unsatisfied with 'waste problem', 'congestion', 'damage of visiting trails' and 'lack of cultural facilities'. In the result of satisfaction factors, it was revealed that 'facility management factor' was found to have the greatest effect on satisfaction degree. In the estimated model by Multiple Regression Analysis, 'damage of natural resources' and 'damage of cultural and historic resources', and 'lack of traffic facilities' were found to affect visitors' satisfaction.
This research was establishment of landscape formation plan to Yusang village region Yeongcheon city. Literature research, field research, surveys carried out for this purpose. The natural environment of the capital region for the landscape formation plan, Humanities and Social Environment, Landscape Resources Status, Social Consciousness, landscape map, landscape design, code identification and basic design and planning through the basic steps to derive design guidelines were applied to the landscape formation plan. The purpose of this study is to make practical application of the results as basic data of National Park management-policy by surveying and analyzing management goals, management missions, land zoning, numeral of visitors, management organization, management staff and revenue and Expenditure budget of 1992 and 2004 those are main factors to know the management system well. The main management missions was found not only to put value on developing nature program but also to prepare for keeping and renewing of nature resources. The change of zoning land was researched to be controlled and nature preservation area was showed to be enlarged. While management missions and visitors have been increased, there weren't raise of organization and staffs at all. And expenditure budget had management formation by manpower. Although there are progressive changes in park management system during the period, several improvements are needed in details. They are as follows; To be sustainable preservation and usage which are the intrinsic roles of National Park by increasing the government investment than own revenue.
