The leisure demands and the interests for the quality of urban residents have been increased, but the leisure space is absolutely deficient. In the leisure site planning, the concrete understanding about people's leisure site choice is the most important thing, not only for the aspect of the leisure demands reception and the improvement of the life quality but also the aspect of the efficiency of land use. The purposes of this study are firstly, to find out prefered leisure sites, secondly, to establish the choice models of the each prefered leisure site to be substituted for existing indiscriminating leisure space planning. And for the choice model establishment, we used Logit Model, which has been used in the Traffic, the Toursim, the Economics fields. We extract people's perfered leisure sites in Seoul through 1st and 2nd survey, those are a park, a pocket park, a play hall, a recreation center(sport center), a hobby facility, a library. The established choice model for each prefered site can predict people's choice about 70 percents correctly. It indicates that the Logit model is useful for the explanation about the choice of residents in the urban area. Specially, the main affect factors to the choice of each prefered leisure site are different. It means that different consideration factors or different standards are needed for each leisure site planning.
Progressive increase in population causing land scarcity, which is forcing construction industry to build multistory buildings having underground basements. Normally, basements are constructed for parking facility. This research work evaluates important factors which have caused the collapse of pile-anchor system at under construction five star hotel. 21 m deep excavation is carried out, to have five basements, after installation of 600 mm diameter cast in-situ contiguous concrete piles at plot periphery. To retain piles and backfill, soil anchors are installed as pit excavation is proceeded. Before collapse, anchors are designed by federal highway administration procedure and four anchor rows are installed with three strands per anchor in first row and four in remaining. However, after collapse, system is modeled and analyzed in plaxis using mohr-coulomb method. It is investigated that in-appropriate evaluation of soil properties, additional surcharge loads, lesser number of strands per anchor, shorter grouted body length and shorter pile embedment depth caused large deformations to occur which governed the collapse of east side pile wall. To resume work, old anchors are assumed to be standing at one factor of safety and then system is analyzed using finite element approach. Finally, it is concluded to use four strands per anchor in first new row and five strands in remaining three with increase in grouted and un-grouted body lengths.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of planning community facilities of public rental apartments by basic and qualitative factors for the last ten years from the year of 2000. This study analyzed the processes and trends of change of the following: land use, tenant satisfaction with the residential environmental amenities, the quantitative increase in accordance with social paradigms, improvement in the quality of residential life, and acceptance of the needs of residents. Therefore, this study will suggest effective and archivable improvements in them. Methods of this study include drawing analyses, literature surveys, and interviews with experts. This study aims to provide essential primary data for planning community facilities for public rental apartments in order to differentiate them from public sales apartments. In the results, community facilities of public rental apartments have been increasing in their size and in the number of their programs as well. It is certain that community facilities are important influence on improving residential environments and the quality of the life. Based on this study, it is more effective to plan community facilities to be connected or extended to other external spaces. And tenant satisfaction should be carried out and put into consideration to help determine if community facilities are adequate. Space compositions should be designed to be flexible per social paradigms and customers needs.
This study aims to analyze the changes (2011→2021) in social and environmental factors, such as actual construction activities, including building development and officially assessed individual land price, of the areas that have been released from the park during the second national park area adjustment period (2010~2011) and compare them with those of the areas that retained parks in the same period to analyze the development impact. In the released area, a building has been constructed per 16,431 square meters since 2011. Moreover, both the number of floors and height of the building has increased, and it was analyzed that the class 2 neighborhood living facilities occupied the highest proportion of the building use. Officially assessed individual land prices increased by 42.3% in the released area and 38.6% in the retained area. The analysis by region showed that the officially assessed land price increased by 55.2% on average in both released and retained areas in Seoul and 9.4% in Gyeonggi-do, indicating a much larger increase in the Seoul region. The issue of private property rights in national parks was mostly resolved as they were released through the second national park area adjustment. However, the Korea National Park needs to promote the benefits of landowners by suggesting rational alternatives such as adjustments to the park zoning and facility planning.

A digital map of 1/5,000 scale provides basic information to be utilized in various businesses, such as in land management, urban information system of a local government, navigation of private sectors and others. 1/5,000 digital map, which contains information of the entire land of South Korea, is performed as a national fundamental map, however, comparing to 1,000 digital map, it has some difficulties in terms of positional accuracy and attribute data for applying in urban areas. Also, since the paradigm of spatial information services has been changed, more accurate positional information and rich attribute information are required for the government businesses and private map services. Particularly, demands for the high precision spatial information based on large-scale digital map is increasing in facility managements due to rapid changes in urban areas and various spatial analyses. For those reasons, this study proposes how to apply and use precise spatial information based on 1/1,000 digital. Firstly, an analysis of legal system related to large-scale digital map and spatial information is conducted in the research. Afterwards, the ways are suggested to improve systematical utilizations of 1/1,000 digital map. We also define existing applications of spatial information in public and private sector, and recommend methodology that can be utilized high precision spatial information.

The importance of green spaces in the city is growing each day. Local governments are taking charge of park development works that are having difficulty in developing and managing urban parks due to high land value as well as a shortage in finances. This is even though an urban park is defined as an urban planning facility and the law provides park area per person. Civil residents, meanwhile, are using not only urban parks provided by law but also other green areas such as rivers, reservoirs, and school playgrounds because they recognize urban green areas by the concept of use. In this study, accordingly, urban green areas were sorted into two types, urban parks, parks provided by law, and other green areas, and the difference in use pattern and use satisfaction by type was analyzed. As a result of analysis, there was no remarkable difference between the two types. According to such results, it was found that it is necessary to include other green areas, such as rivers, reservoirs, school green areas, and apartment green areas in addition to the current park green areas provided by law when park area per person is calculated, and such calculation of urban green areas reflecting local characteristics can reduce local governments' financial burden and improve the effectiveness of future urban park policies. It is judged that such results can become a plan against the cancellation of unexecuted urban facilities. The fact that accessibility factors, such as road satisfaction, access convenience, and convenient movement, are affecting satisfaction with the use of urban parks suggests that it is important to improve urban park accessibilities rather than to quantitatively expand park area in order to improve satisfaction with urban parks. Considering that people travel to urban green areas mostly by walking, it is necessary for access convenience to conduct follow-up studies such as barrier-free and securing walking stability through analysis of routes to urban green areas.
This study is to suggest the improving methods for rural community centers by analysis of 30 community centers in Samnangjin-eup, Miryang city, Gyeongnam. To fulfill this purpose, the facilities, usable condition and management system were examined. The user needs and level of satisfaction were also investigated through the interviews with 858 citizens. The average size of the centers is $96m^2$, and 73% of them are one-story buildings. Women use the community center more frequently than men in ratio of 6:4. 43.4% of interviewees visit the center 1 or 2 times a month, but on the other hand 27.4% of them use the center almost every day. Recess is surely the main purpose, and health care and community meeting are next two reasons. 67.8% and 72.4% of them are not satisfied with the inside and outside of the community center respectively. The interview results demonstrate that the most important issue is the lack of facilities. To improve the community centers in Samnangjin-eup, first of all, various kinds of indoor and outdoor facilities must be equipped. Secondly, considering the center is the core of rural community life, the qualitative improvement in accommodation is also needed as well as facility diversification. The efficiency of space utilization is another issue. A small piece of land or abandoned space must be utilized. Moreover, it is very critical that the users are mostly seniors and elders, so improvements of facilities will be executed in terms of safety and convenience. Finally, administrative and financial support should be made for the people, so as to maintain the the rural community center on their own.

Changes in the population structure caused by a decrease in the birthrate and an extension of life expectancy cause problems in utilization inefficiencies of closed schools and shortage welfare facilities for the aged. The closed schools have location characteristics that are close to the existing residence and facilities such as land and school buildings, so it is expected that the schools will be used as welfare facilities for the aged in the community. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the facility characteristics of closed schools in northern Gyeonggi-Do and present the types of aged welfare facilities that can be built, providing basic data for developing customized aged welfare facilities. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1) The proportion of aged people in northern Gyeonggi-Do is higher than in southern Gyeonggi-Do, but welfare facilities for the aged are insufficient, so it is necessary to expand welfare facilities for the aged in northern Gyeonggi-Do. 2) Urban areas such as Paju and Goyang City have a lot of residential proximity, Dongducheon and Yangju have a lot of residential proximity, while schools located in urban and rural areas such as Yeoncheon have a lot of residential proximity. 3) Closed schools in urban areas such as Goyang City and Paju City are desirable to use them as residential facilities for senior citizens, day and night protection and short-term protection facilities, while closed schools in Namyangju City, Pocheon City, and Gapyeong County are desirable to use them as senior citizen centers and medical welfare facilities.

In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in recent agricultural energy and increase the energy self-sufficiency rate of each farmer, it is extremely important to expand the supply of solar energy using unused space of agricultural facilities, roof. This study surveyed and analyzed the environmental and administrative factors such as problems according to the structure, azimuth and latitude of broiler houses and stability of standard broiler houses required to use broiler house roof based on the poultry houses in Sangju-si. The results can be summarized as follows: 55.6% of the solar energy facilities of according to the classification of arable lands of broiler houses were available, and 31.7% of them were available by classifying according to the azimuth. However, 20.6% of them were available in the survey considering all the arable land and azimuth. In the roof inclination of the broiler houses, from 20 to $25^{\circ}$ was the most common, 30 broiler houses. The broiler houses with the roof inclination more than $20^{\circ}$ accounted for 63% of the total. It was considered that the inclination was generally proper. In the structural safety, only 3 broiler houses that were constructed as a standard broiler house were available. In practice, all but one broiler house was inappropriate to expand the solar energy project using roof. The solar thermal facility weighed $63.6kg/m^2$ in total: the frame and solar thermal collector weighed $27.8kg/m^2$ and $35.8kg/m^2$, respectively. The standard broiler house required to be internally reinforced. This study suggested a plan for internal reinforcement and a feasible plan because there were problems with structural safety when installing solar thermal and photovoltaic systems.
In this study, a design strategy is proposed to restore the distorted urban water cycle to the natural water cycle through the LID facility. This is accomplished by determining the optimal LID facility design capacity through which flow duration curves remain the same before and after urban development. A part of the Noksan National Industrial Complex in Busan was selected as the study area and EPA SWMM was constructed to simulate long-term stormwater for various land use scenarios and LID facility design capacity. In the case that the study area was assumed to be a forest area or an agricultural area before urban development, it was found that it was necessary to allocate 7.3% or 5.5% of the impervious area to the area of the bio-retention in order for the flow duration curve to remain the same as before urban development. As a result of the sensitivity analysis of the bio-retention design capacity according to regional rainfall characteristics, the design capacity of 3.8~5.5% of impervious area is needed for the development of agriculture area. Therefore, it can be seen that the optimum capacity can be significantly different according to regional rainfall characteristics. On the other hand, as a result of analyzing the sensitivity of the design capacity according to the variation of the depth of each layer constituting the bio-retention and the size of contributing catchment area, the sensitivity of the optimal design capacity with respect to the design specifications of the bio-retention and the size of contributing catchment area was not significant.
