A Study on the Development of Energy Simulation Program for Non-specialist to Enhance Green Remodeling (그린리모델링 활성화를 위한 비전문가용 에너지 소비량 산정 프로그램 개발연구)

  • To receive financial support for the Green Remodeling, applicants must submit an energy simulation report. However, many of the applicants are not green remodeling specialist and energy simulation services are too expensive for them. For this reason, this study was to develop an energy simulation program to enhance green remodeling for the non-specialist such as housewives. Firstly, to enhance understanding and accessibility improvement energy simulation, simulation process was designed four steps and reducing input data. Specifically, input data was reduced by categorizing the following for the area, plan type, hot water load, electricity load, statistical inference. And then, to accurately verify the calculation result, the heat and hot water demand were derived and compared with ECO2 and Energy # program. Lastly, the calculation shows that there is a difference of 4% for the heat load and 15% to 33% for the hot water load respectively.

  • A study on the performance and exhaust emissions of diesel engine with reducing exhaust gas temperature is performed experimentally. In this paper, experiments are performed at engine speed 2200rpm, 2600rpm and load 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% by test engine with F.W. cooler passing through exhaust gas. Main measured & analyzed parameters are exhaust gas temperature, specific fuel consumption, NOx and soot emissions etc. The obtained conclusions are as follows. (1) Specific fuel consumption is the least value at load 75% and it is decreased 1.5% after remodeling F.W. cooler. (2) NOx emission is the most value at load 100% and it is increased 30.1% after remodeling F.W. cooler. (3) Soot emission is the most value at load 100% and it is decreased 20.0% after remodeling F.W. cooler.

  • The number of old buildings in Korea is increasing. According to a report from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the proportion of old buildings increased from 29.0% in 2005 to 37.8% in 2009. However, the ratio of repairs to improve usability and improve the environment through problem improvement The proportion of old buildings was 72% in 2010, but decreased to 38% in 2020 and does not exceed 40%. The reason is that the difficulty of remodeling old buildings is more difficult than repairing new ones, and business estimates are difficult to predict. Accurately reflecting the current condition of a building in a repair project has a huge impact on time and budget. Accurate and detailed measurements are essential. Current repair methodologies require a lot of manpower, time and money to remodel an old building. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the remodeling methodology applied in the field. In this study proposed a Digital-Twin-based remodeling process that introduced various digital technologies such as 3D Scanning, BIM, Reverse Engineering, and Digital Fabrictation in consideration of the latest technologies used in recent construction projects. In addition, the process proposed in this study was applied to an actual small-scale building remodeling project and the results were analyzed. In addition, useful basic data were provided for the establishment of plans related to the repair process of buildings in the future.

  • As the number of units increased by vertical extension is recently allowed according to the Housing Law, the aged apartment remodeling projects using the same allowed method are pursued in several apartment complex located in Bundang and Pyungchon. However, progress of the projects is not advanced due to uncertainty of the process. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to improve a business process model for the aged apartment remodeling in case of the number of units are increased for the remodeling union to pursue the remodeling project easily. In order to improve the process model, requirements for the Housing Act are analyzed, the existing process model is developed based upon the requirements, uncertainty of the existing process is examined and a to be process model is proposed to eliminate the uncertainty. Many architects and engineers are consulted to discuss the uncertainty and process model. This model will help the Government to reform the Housing Act and remodeling unions to pursue the aged apartment remodeling.

  • As vertical extension remodeling policy was implemented in 2014, Safety Inspection Manual was established to ensure structural safety during the vertical extension remodeling. In the manual, the story weight for capability evaluation was based on the Safety Inspection Manual for Reconstruction. Although capability evaluation in the vertical extension remodeling is more important than reconstruction, engineering basis for the story weight is insufficient. Therefore it is necessary to improve the method of calculating the story weight. In this study, story importance and story weight were defined through the case analysis of capability evaluation in order to provide engineering basis for story weight. Also, new story weight equation was presented considering the load-bearing ratio of structural members.

The Comparative Study on Performance Evaluation of Outdoor Space for Remodeling Apartment (리모델링 공동주택단지의 외부공간 성능평가 비교 연구)

  • In this study, remodeling projects are perceived as a sustainable urban management policy to boost the value of old apartments and stimulate urban regeneration and development. To evaluate the physical environmental performance of external spaces of remodeled apartments, an evaluation model was developed. After applying it to the target places, the following results were obtained. First, analysis of the external space change index of the target apartments revealed that institutional standards are necessary in line with the building arrangement type, parking lot expansion method, and changes in the building-to-land ratio. Second, the score ratio as to the external space change index performance is as follows: safety (48.30); pleasantness (25.90); convenience (18.90); eco-friendliness (14.90). In other words, "safety" had the biggest score ratio. Third, to boost the external space performance of remodeled apartments, the needs of residents and neighboring environmental plans should be considered from a communality standpoint.

  • Apartment remodeling has been a hot issue in Korea. At first, all facility should be constructed newly in a city. When land is not suppled for new construction, reformation or rehabilitation of the facility may be executed. Though the demand of reformation is increasing, the system except financial support is not systematically provided. Therefore remodelling system and policy of domestic and oversea were examined, and the direction of the system were suggested in this research.

  • The number of Aged Apartment units is expected to increase as time went on. Living standards are getting better and they want a new apartment space as the economy progresses. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare for the increasing remodeling market through the feasibility evaluation method that can be applied to the remodeling project of the apartment house. The purpose of this study is to analyze the social pricing factors affecting the Officially assessed individual House Price for the analysis model of commercial house remodeling. The collected samples were analyzed using multiple regression analysis of 350 prices included in 127 lots. Middle school level, high school level, total number of households, and floor area ratio were extracted. As a result of comparing the Officially assessed individual House Price by applying to the remodeling case, the difference between the existing Officially assessed individual House Price and the improvement Officially assessed individual House Price is different. The accessibility with the subway station is included in the land price, and there is no change in the number of stories and directions because it is customized remodeling. There was a difference in the disclosure price depending on the type of factor extraction by the evaluator in a batch application of the disclosure price factors. The research can be used as a model for future remodeling business feasibility analysis.

  • Since the government of Korea (Ministry of Environment, MOE) introduced the policy applying 'Biotope-Area-Ratio-Indicator (BARI)' to huge residential land developments which Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) should be performed, MOE has come to have the necessity to apply the indicator concretely at the stage of Prior Environment Review System (PERS) and EIA in various types of large scale land development projects. This study was conducted with the aim of supporting the application of BARI and related decision making in various other types of EIA projects as well as residential development projects through remodeling the system to apply the indicator of the past. Through the analysis of the problems in applying the past BARI and experimental appraisals to 11 types of EIA projects, the results and implications as follows were drawn. First, it's possible to extend the range of applications of BARI, which has been applied to only residential land development project, to all kinds of projects with area-typed land use pattern out of environmental impact assessment target projects. Second, it's also possible to set a target value into which regional characteristics and differences among locational properties are reflected. In addition, it's come to be able to differentially apply the target value of BARI according to the condition of the existing site. Third, it's improved to be able to suggest a macroscopic target value at the stage of PERS and to set detailed target values in each detailed land use at the stage of EIA. The key point underlies inducing methodology to determine target values to secure more permeable land coverage ratio for detailed land use patterns at the stage of EIA by making it possible to calculate BARI of the present land cover condition of the EIA target projects.
