This study was conducted with the intention of providing basic data that are essential for establishing compensation standards for forest products and diagnosing forestry management in the future by investigating the cultivation process of major wild edible greens such as Pteridium aquilinum var. latiusculum, Ligularia fischeri, and Allium victorialis and analyzing related incomes. According to the result, the cultivation was generally divided into the open filed cultivation and mountain cultivation by the cultivated item. The annual average income by unit area ($3.3m^2$) for each item was 6,500 won for Pteridium aquilinum var. latiusculum cultivated open filed, 3,200 won for Pteridium aquilinum var. latiusculum cultivated in the mountain, 20,400 won for Ligularia fischeri cultivated open filed, 20,900 won for Allium victorialis cultivated open filed, and 7,300 won for Allium victorialis cultivated in the mountain. Particularly, while consumer demand for Allium victorialis and Ligularia fischeri are increasing phenomenally recently, the annual average income per unit area ($3.3m^2$) for these wild edible greens grown open filed was distinctively higher than that for Pteridium aquilinum var. latiusculum. This can be explained by very high working expenses (land rent and labor cost) required for the cultivation of Pteridium aquilinum var. latiusculum compared with other items. As for Ligularia fischeri and Allium victorialis yielding high annual average income, the initial investment costs including the cost of purchasing seeds and seed stocks account for 40% of the working expenses or over and thereby requiring proper support from the government for solidifying the income source and promoting cultivation in the agricultural and mountain regions in the future.

The objectives of this study were (1) to analyze the degree of rice farmers' knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM), (2) to determine the related variables for decisions on pest control, and (3) to indicate desirable direction for IPM farmers' field training. The study was carried out through a questionnaire method and sane interviewing survey of 300 rice farmers by the IPM trainers who participated in IPM training in 1994 or 1995. The data were collected from 268 respondents to the questionnaire consisted of KAP and related variables. The major findings of the study were as follows: 1. The KAP score of the farmers concerning IPM were 71 for knowledge, 76.2 for attitude and 74 for practice on average. 2. The KAP score was higher for farmers cultivating larger land size and for those with more participation in IPM training. Also the KAP was higher for the members of the Rural Leaders Association and Future Farmers Association than any other groups. 3. The IPM farmers had strong positive attitudes towards the resistant rice varieties. However, the practical pest control rate of the IPM farmers was low for conservation of natural enemies, timely control following occurrence and plant compensation what few pest were presence in the paddy field. 4. The KAP Score on the economic threshold level and safe pesticide use was relatively low for elder farmers and for those with lower educational background. Most farmers preferred calendar spraying methods for preventive pest control to any other method of pest control. Knowledge was relatively low on pesticide and environmental contamination. 5. Decision making on pest control depends on the extension officer and rural leader's opinion. The survey method for pest occurrence by directly counting pest in the field was only 22.9% among the farmers of this study. 6. Most farmers used pesticide for preventive pest occurrence even when pest didn't occur in their field. The average number of pesticide applications per cropping season in rice field was 3.7 times, and the number of mixed pesticides per application was 4.3 kinds of pesticides. Also 6 recommendations were made in this study for improvement of IPM farmer's training.

This study proposes a method to improve the geometric quality of KOMPSAT (Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite)-3/3A Level 1R imagery, particularly for efficient disaster damage analysis. The proposed method applies a novel grid-based SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) method to the Planetscope ortho-imagery, which solves the inherent limitations in acquiring appropriate optical satellite imagery over disaster areas, and the KOMPSAT-3/3A imagery to extract GCPs (Ground Control Points) required for the RPC (Rational Polynomial Coefficient) bias compensation. In order to validate its effectiveness, the proposed method was applied to the KOMPSAT-3 multispectral image of Gangnueng which includes the April 2019 wildfire, and the KOMPSAT-3A image of Daejeon, which was additionally selected in consideration of the diverse land cover types. The proposed method improved the geometric quality of KOMPSAT-3/3A images by reducing the positioning errors(RMSE: Root Mean Square Error) of the two images from 6.62 pixels to 1.25 pixels for KOMPSAT-3, and from 7.03 pixels to 1.66 pixels for KOMPSAT-3A. Through a visual comparison of the post-disaster KOMPSAT-3 ortho-image of Gangneung and the pre-disaster Planetscope ortho-image, the result showed appropriate geometric quality for wildfire damage analysis. This paper demonstrated the possibility of using Planetscope ortho-images as an alternative to obtain the GCPs for geometric calibration. Furthermore, the proposed method can be applied to various KOMPSAT-3/3A research studies where Planetscope ortho-images can be provided.

Recent rise in the supply rate of new public apartment houses leads to an increasement in disputes regarding the construction quality of the apartments between the residents and the construction companies. According to the dispute cases filed for claiming the collective defect repair fees, inter-layer concrete joints turned out to be the most frequently disputed item. For this reason, this study selects the inter-layer concrete joints to further analyze the primary causes and details of each dispute case. From the results of this study, three primary causes of the disputes are found, which are 1) the absence of standard specifications for construction quality control and management after construction; 2) the absence of established standards for repair when construction defects are found; and 3) the fact that the court grants generous compensation for disputes concerning the apartment houses. In order to prevent construction defects in inter-layer concrete joints, this study provides three suggestions including 1) the current standard specifications for inter-layer concrete joints should be further specified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport; 2) a construction defect should be judged according to the compliance to the standard specifications; and 3) a clear and institutional protocol needs to be established for defect repair in cases that new public apartment houses have been judged to have defects.

The amount of compensation and the number of cases owing to car damage from pot holes on highways across the country increased by about 4.2 times and 3.5 times, respectively, in 2019 compared to 2015. Due to the increase in damage caused by these road hazards, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is developing technologies and services that can collect road hazard information by using devices on commercial vehicles (DTGs, black boxes, ADASs). In preparation for the development of these technologies, this study conducted an integrated assessment of algorithms developed for interrupted-flow and uninterrupted-flow traffic under three scenarios in order to provide road hazard information to drivers and road managers. As a result, the overall accuracy of the integrated assessment was derived at 81.88%. Errors generated in this integrated assessment reflect only missing data in less than 1 minute, GPS coordinate location and algorithm related errors, taking into account the purpose and assumptions of the assessment. Among them, we derive an accuracy of 90.15%overall by calibrating GPS error data. The results of this study can be used as basic data for improving the accuracy of location-based information collected by commercial vehicles and for policy development.
Although the needs for providing resilient PNT information are increasing, threats due to the intentional RFI or space weather change are challenging to resolve. eLoran, which is a terrestrial navigation system that use a high-power signal is considered as a best back-up navigation system. Depending on the user's environment in the eLoran system, the user may use one of E-field or H-field antennas. H-field antenna, which has no restriction on setting stable ground and is relatively resistant to noise of general electronic equipment, is composed of two loops, and shows anisotropic gain pattern due to the different measurement at the two loops. Therefore, the H-field antenna's phase estimation value of signal varies depending on its direction even at the static environment. The error due to the direction of the signal should be eliminated if the user want to estimate the own position more precisely. In this paper, a method to compensate the error according to the geometric distribution between the H-field antenna and the transmitting station is proposed. A model was developed to compensate the directional error of H-field antenna based on the signal generated from the eLoran signal simulator. The model is then used to the survey measurement performed in the land area and verify its performance.

In recent years, the needs for double deck-tunnels have increased in large cities due to the increase in traffic volume and high land compensation costs. In Korea, a network type tunnel which is smaller than general road tunnels and crosses another tunnel underground is planned. In the shield tunnel joints between the existing shield tunnel and the box-type enlargement section, a partial steel-concrete joint is proposed where the bending moment is large instead of the existing full-section steel joint. In order to analysis the enlargement section of the shield tunnel diverged section to reflect the three-dimensional effect, the two-dimensional analysis model is considered to consider the column effect and the stiffness effect of the longitudinal member. A two-dimensional analysis method is proposed to reflect the stiffness of the longitudinal member and the column effect of the longitudinal point by considering the rigidity of the longitudinal member as the elastic spring point of the connecting part in the lateral model. As a result of the analysis of the model using the longitudinal member, it was considered that the structural safety of the partial steel-concrete joint can be secured by reducing the bending moment of the joint and the box member by introducing the longitudinal member having the stiffness equal to or greater than a certain value.
With stabilization of the recent multi-GNSS infrastructure, and as multi-GNSS has been proven to be effective in improving the accuracy of the positioning performance in various industrial sectors. In this study, in view that SF(Single frequency) GNSS receivers are widely used due to the low costs, evaluate effectiveness of SF Real Time Point Positioning(SF-RT-PP) based on four multi-GNSS surveying methods with RTCM-SSR correction streams in static and kinematic modes, and also derive response challenges. Results of applying SSR correction streams, CNES presented good results compared to other SSR streams in 2D coordinate. Looking at the results of the SF-RT-PP surveying using SF signals from multi-GNSS, were able to identify the common cause of large deviations in the altitude components, as well as confirm the importance of signal bias correction according to combinations of different types of satellite signals and ionospheric delay compensation algorithm using undifferenced and uncombined observations. In addition, confirmed that the improvement of the infrastructure of Multi-GNSS allows SF-RT-SPP surveying with only one of the four GNSS satellites. In particular, in the case of code-based SF-RT-SPP measurements using SF signals from GPS satellites only, the difference in the application effect between broadcast ephemeris and SSR correction for satellite orbits/clocks was small, but in the case of ionospheric delay compensation, the use of SBAS correction information provided more than twice the accuracy compared to result of the Klobuchar model. With GPS and GLONASS, both the BDS and GALILEO constellations will be fully deployed in the end of 2020, and the greater benefits from the multi-GNSS integration can be expected. Specially, If RT-ionospheric correction services reflecting regional characteristics and SSR correction information reflecting atmospheric characteristics are carried out in real-time, expected that the utilization of SF-RT-PPP survey technology by multi-GNSS and various demands will be created in various industrial sectors.
