Isotropic Magnetic Bubble Propagation in Ion Implanted Magnetic Bubble Propagation Tracks (이온주입식 자기 버블 전파 회로에서의 자기 버블의 등방성 전파)

  • To find out whether isotropic magnetic bubble propagation can be achived by changing magnetostriction coefficients, bias margins and bubble collapse fields of $2.5{\mu}m$ period "diamond" bubble propagation tracks were measured which were fabricated on three magnetic garnet thin films with nearly isotropic magnetostriction coefficients (${\lambda}111{\simeq}{\lambda}100$). The results showed substantially isotropic bubble propagation in "super","good" and "bad" tracks for all three garnet films. From the bubble collapse fields, the bubble potential well depths vs. the direction of the in-plane rotating magnetic fields were plotted. The results showed that substantial differances in the potential well shapes exist for the three "good," "bad" and "super" tracks when ${\Delta}(=({\lambda}111-{\lambda}100)/{\lambda}100)$ was 0.5 (film AK92). However, the differences were minimal when ${\Delta}$ were 0.3 (film Aka8) or 0.1 (film AKb1). In other words, the bubble potential wells were nearly isotropic. The above two measurements indicate that nearly isotropic bubble propagation can be achieved when B is between 0.1 and 0.3.

Evapotranspiration Measurements using an Eddy Covariance Technique in the Seolmacheon Catchment (에디 공분산으로 관측된 설마천 산림 유역의 증발산)

  • The importance of securing water resources and their efficient management has attracted more attention recently due to water deficit. In water budget analysis, however, evapotranspiration (${\lambda}E$) has been approximated as the residual in the water balance equation or estimated from empirical equations and assumptions. To minimize the uncertainties in these estimates, it is necessary to directly measure ${\lambda}E$. In this study, using the eddy covariance technique, we have measured ${\lambda}E$ in a mixed forest in the Seolmacheon catchment in Korea from September 2007 to December 2008. During the growing season (May - July), ${\lambda}E$ in this mixed forest averaged about 2.2 mm $d^{-1}$, whereas it was on average 0.5 mm $d^{-1}$ during the non-growing season in winter. The annual total ${\lambda}E$ in 2008 was 581 mm $y^{-1}$, which is about 1/3 of the annual precipitation of 1997 mm. Despite the differences in the amount and frequency of precipitation, the accumulated ${\lambda}E$ during the overlapping period (i.e., September to December) for 2007 and 2008 was both ${\sim}$ 110 mm, showing virtually no difference. The omega factor, which is a measure of decoupling between forest and the atmosphere, was on average 0.5, indicating that the contributions of equilibrium ${\lambda}E$ and imposed ${\lambda}E$ to the total ${\lambda}E$ were about the same. The results suggest that ${\lambda}E$in this mixed forest was controlled by various factors such as net radiation, vapor pressure deficit, and canopy conductance. In this study, based on the direct measurements of ${\lambda}E$, we have quantified the relative contribution of ${\lambda}E$in the water balance of a mixed forest in the Seolmacheon catchment. In combination with runoff data, the information on ${\lambda}E$ would greatly enhance the reliability of water budget analysis in this catchment.

Properties of Lower Molecular Weight of $\lambda$-Carrageenan Manufactured by Ultrasound (초음파에 의해 제조된 저분자 $\lambda$-carrageenan의 특성)

  • Carrageenan are sulfated polymers containing galactose and anhydrogalctose units, and is used for its gelling, thickening, stabilizing, emulsifying, and suspending properties. However, carrageenan is limited to use beyond $0.03\%$ as food additives because of its high degree of gelling and viscosity with low solubility. The use of ultrasound significantly reduced the viscosity of $\lambda$-carrageenan solutions. The optimal parameters of ultrasound for reduction of carrageenan molecular weight were temperature, $10^{\circ}C$ ultrasound intensity, 114.7 $W/cm^2$ ; carrageenan concentration, $2\%$; treatment time, 10 min. The molecular weights of control, ultrasound peak 1, and peak 2 were approximately 250,000, 184,000, and 67,000 daltons, respectively. The lower molecular weight of $\lambda$-carrageenan showed the higher solubility, the lower alcohol precipitation ratio and the lower emulsifying capacity. Browning degree of both control and lower molecular $\lambda$-carrageenans was not significantly different.

  • The spectral problem $$-y^{{\prime}{\prime}}+q(x)y={\lambda}y,\;0 < x < 1, \atop y(0)cos{\beta}=y^{\prime}(0)sin{\beta},\;0{\leq}{\beta}<{\pi};\;{\frac{y^{\prime}(1)}{y(1)}}=h({\lambda})$$ is considered, where ${\lambda}$ is a spectral parameter, q(x) is real-valued continuous function on [0, 1] and $$h({\lambda})=a{\lambda}+b-\sum\limits_{k=1}^{N}{\frac{b_k}{{\lambda}-c_k}},$$ with the real coefficients and $a{\geq}0$, $b_k$ > 0, $c_1$ < $c_2$ < ${\cdots}$ < $c_N$, $N{\geq}0$. The sharpened asymptotic formulae for eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of above-mentioned spectral problem are obtained and the uniform convergence of the spectral expansions of the continuous functions in terms of eigenfunctions are presented.

A design of the imperative functional language with state (상태를 갖는 명령형 함수언어의 설계)

  • Despite of various useful features, functional languages do not provide an efficient way of representing states. To improve expressiveness of functional language, it is required a method representing explicit state without violating of functional semantic properties. In this paper, imperative functional language, $\lambda$st-calculus is designed to represent states without compromising the properties of pure functional languages. And we construct an algorithm to reduce proposed imperative functional language. $\lambda$st-calculus model which is an extension of the $\lambda$-calculus model with explicit state constructor without violating their semantic properties. it improves expressiveness of syntax through a concept of state composition and simplified reduction rules.

Design and Analysis of the Block Cipher Using Extended Feistel Structure (확장된 Feistel 구조를 이용한 Block Cipher의 설계와 분석)

  • In this paper, we designed a 128-bit block cipher, Lambda, which has 16-round extended Feistel structure and analyzed its secureness by the differential cryptanalysis and linear cryptanalysis. We could have full diffusion effect from the two rounds of the Lambda. Because of the strong diffusion effect of the algorithm, we could get a 8-round differential characteristic with probability $2^{-192}$ and a linear characteristic with probability $2^{-128}$. For the Lambda with 128-bit key, there is no shortcut attack, which is more efficient than the exhaustive key search, for more than 8 rounds of the algorithm.

REAL HYPERSURFACES WITH MIAO-TAM CRITICAL METRICS OF COMPLEX SPACE FORMS

  • Let M be a real hypersurface of a complex space form with constant curvature c. In this paper, we study the hypersurface M admitting Miao-Tam critical metric, i.e., the induced metric g on M satisfies the equation: $-({\Delta}_g{\lambda})g+{\nabla}^2_g{\lambda}-{\lambda}Ric=g$, where ${\lambda}$ is a smooth function on M. At first, for the case where M is Hopf, c = 0 and $c{\neq}0$ are considered respectively. For the non-Hopf case, we prove that the ruled real hypersurfaces of non-flat complex space forms do not admit Miao-Tam critical metrics. Finally, it is proved that a compact hypersurface of a complex Euclidean space admitting Miao-Tam critical metric with ${\lambda}$ > 0 or ${\lambda}$ < 0 is a sphere and a compact hypersurface of a non-flat complex space form does not exist such a critical metric.

  • LRFU 블륵 교체 정책은 LRU 정책과 LFU 정책 사이에 존재하는 교체 정책들의 스펙트럼이며, LRFU 기법의 제어 변수 $\lambda$는 스펙트럼 상에서 위치를 결정한다. 그리고 작업 부하(workload)마다 최적 $\lambda$값이 존재하며, 해당 작업 부하를 실행할 때 이 값을 LRFU 기법에 적용하면 LRFU 스펙트럼 상에서 최적의 성능을 보이는 블록 교체 정책이 선택된다. 하지만 LRFU 기법은 최적의 $\lambda$값 설정을 위한 정보를 제공하지 않기 때문에 작업 부하에 따른 최적의 $\lambda$값을 찾기 위한 별도의 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 LRFU 정책을 기반으로 작업 부하에 따라서 효과적으로 $\lambda$값을 변화 시키는 적응형 LRFU 블록 교체 정책을 설명하고 있다. 적응형 LRFU 정책의 성능을 평가하기 위해서 트레이스 기반 모의 실험을 수행하였으며 실험 결과를 통해 적응형 LRFU 정책의 성능이 정적으로 선택된 최적의 $\lambda$값을 적용한 LRFU 정책의 성능에 근접함을 알 수 있었다.

PARAMETER SPACE FOR EIGENMAPS OF FLAT 3-TORI INTO SPHERES

  • The purpose of this paper is to parameterize range-equivalence classes of all eigenmaps of flat 3-tori $T^{3}$= $R^{3}$.LAMBDA., .LAMBDA.= $c_{1}$ $e_{1}$ + $c_{2}$ $e_{2}$ + $c_{3}$ $e_{3}$, into the standard unit spheres. In this paper, we classify $A_{ 0 \lambda}$( $T^{3}$)(cf..cint.1) which is contained in $A_{\lambda}$( $T^{3}$), are belonging to $A_{ 0 \lambda}$( $T^{3}$). Moreover, as an application, we show that the only minimally imbedded flat torus into ( $S^{5}$ , can) which is contained in $A_{ 0 \lambda}$( $T^{3}$) is the generalized Clifford torus.rd torus.

  • It is the objective of this paper to study further the notion of ${\Lambda}_s$-semi-${\theta}$-closed sets which is defined as the intersection of a ${\theta}$-${\Lambda}_s$-set and a semi-${\theta}$-closed set. Moreover, introduce some low separation axioms using the above notions. Also we present and study the notions of ${\Lambda}_s$-continuous functions, ${\Lambda}_s$-compact spaces and ${\Lambda}_s$-connected spaces.
