  • The aim of this study analyzed the important level (IL) and understanding level (UL) including the Borich's need for students preparing of the national examination for radiological technologists at online open chatting room. A total of 254 survey were collected from a total of 1,016 students who used open chatting room from December 13 to December 16, 2022. A general characteristics were the age, gender, curriculum (3 or 4 years), grade and area. The IL, UL, learning satisfaction (LS), learning achievement (LA) and intention to continue using (ICU) were analyzed by using the 5 point Likert scale. There was no significant difference the LS, LA, and ICU according to general characteristics (p>0.05). There was a statistically significant difference a total of sixteen subjects based on the t-test results of the response values from the IL and UL (p<0.05). The total of ten subjects with the highest priority in the Locus for Focus models were the Ultrasonography, Human anatomy, Magnetic resonance imaging, Radiation therapy, Cardiovascular and intervention, Computed tomography, Human physiology, Radiographic imaging, Fluroscopic radiography, and Nuclear medicine) that the Borich's need was also the same as the top 10 ranked subjects. The LS (4.23±0.72), LA (4.18±0.73), and ICU (4.15±0.78) for open chatting room were high. This study identified the subjects most needed by college students by the Borich's need analysis. First, it is necessary to provide intensive education on subjects with high scores that are most needed by college students. Second, it is necessary to improve the teaching method for subjects with low need and low level of understanding.

  • An efficient plant regeneration system of major cultivars of sweetpotato (Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam.) in Korea via somatic embryogenesis was established. Embryogenic calli were formed from shoot apical meristems of sweetpotato cultivars when cultured on LS medium supplemented with 1 mg/L auxin (2,4-D, picloram, dicamba). Among three kinds of auxin, 1 mg/L 2,4-D showed the highest embryogenic calli induction rate. After 4 weeks of cultures on LS medium supplemented with 1 mg/L 2,4-D, embryogenic calli induction rates of Sinhwangmi, Zami, Yulmi, and White Star were 86%, 78%, 76%, and 80%, respectively. Upon transfer onto LS basal medium, most of somatic embryos developed into plantlets. Regenerated plantlets were transplanted to potting soil and grown to mature plants in a greenhouse.

  • The antioxidative and antimicrobial activities were carried on the leeks (Allium tuberosun R.) ethanol extracts in order to find out new food functional components. Three species of leeks used in this study were Chinese leek(long type, LL), general leek(medium type, LM), and medicinal leek (short type, LS). Total amounts of polyphenol compounds in LS was shown as the highest (436.60mg%) value. All of ethanol extracts of these leeks were shown to be had good electron donating ability(EDA) and nitrite scavenging activity. Specialty, the ethanol extract of LS(LSEx) had the highest EDA 30.47% and nitrite scavenging activity 77.24% and the lowest was LMEx. The antioxidative activities of these ethanol extracts on the corn germ oil were measured by peroxide values(POV) and conjugated diene values (CDV) storaging for 30 days at $60{\pm}2^{\circ}C$. The antioxidative activities of these extracts by POV and CDV were determined as following order as LSEx> LLEx) LMEx. The antioxidative activities of all extract were presented as high tendency by increasing adding amounts (0.02%>0.05%>0.1%). When the antioxldative activities were compared with BHT and ${\alpha}-tocopherol$, the degree of the antioxidative activities of these extracts were certified as lower than BHT and higher than ${\alpha}-tocopherol$. And also LSEx, LMEx, and LLEx had antimicrobial effects on the several micro organisms, especially the effect on the Pseudomonas aeruginasa was remarkable. While LMEx had shown inhibit effect on most of micro organism used in this study.

  • Toxoplasma gondii GRA10 expressed as a GFP-GRA10 fusion protein in HeLa cells moved to the nucleoli within the nucleus rapidly and entirely. GRA10 was concentrated specifically in the dense fibrillar component of the nucleolus morphologically by the overlap of GFP-GRA10 transfection image with IFA images by monoclonal antibodies against GRA10 (Tg378), B23 (nucleophosmin) and C23 (nucleolin). The nucleolar translocalization of GRA10 was caused by a putative nucleolar localizing sequence (NoLS) of GRA10. Interaction of GRA10 with TATA-binding protein associated factor 1B (TAF1B) in the yeast two-hybrid technique was confirmed by GST pull-down assay and immunoprecipitation assay. GRA10 and TAF1B were also co-localized in the nucleolus after co-transfection. The nucleolar condensation of GRA10 was affected by actinomycin D. Expressed GFP-GRA10 was evenly distributed over the nucleoplasm and the nucleolar locations remained as hollows in the nucleoplasm under a low dose of actinomycin D. Nucleolar localizing and interacting of GRA10 with TAF1B suggested the participation of GRA10 in rRNA synthesis of host cells to favor the parasitism of T. gondii.

  • In this study the optimal stacking section was selected by pendulum impact test for six different stacking sections of the composite safety barrier. The beam cross-section shape was determined through the poll on six different beam cross-section shapes. The six kinds of stacking design for the determined beam cross-section were suggested. CSM, DB, DBT and Roving fibers were used for stacking design. Horizontal beam and 3:1 sloped beam were modeled by using LS-DYNA. The fall impact simulation was carried out by using rectangular pendulum and cylinder pendulum. Optimal stacking section was determined by comparing and analyzing the impact simulation results.

  • This paper proposes a new QRD-LS adaptive algorithm with computational complexity of O(N). The main idea of proposed algorithm(D-QR-RLS) is based on the fact that the computation for the unit vector of is made from the process during Givens Rotation. The performance of the algorithm is evaluated through computer simulation of FIR system identification problem. As verified by simulation results, this algorithm exhibits a good performance. And, we can see the proposed algorithm converges to optimal coefficient vector theoretically.

  • This report proposes a novel method of identification of continuous time-delay systems from sampled input-output data. By the aid of a digital pre-filter, an approximated discrete-time estimation model is first derived, in which the system parameters remain in their original form and the time delay need not be an integral multiple of th sampling period. Then an identification method combining the common linear least squares(LS) method or the instrumental variable(IV) method with the genetic algorithm(GA) is proposed. That is, the time-delay is selected by the GA, and the system parameters are estimated by the LS or IV method. Furthermore, the proposed method is extended to the case of multi-input multi-output systems where the time-delays in the individual input channels may differ each other. Simulation resutls show that our method yields consistent estimates even in the presence of high measurement noises.

  • Stress has been known to change dietary behaviors and food intakes in individuals. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of stress level on the frequency and the amount of snack consumption. The high stress group (HS) showed significantly higher frequency of consumption for bread, chips, cookies, ramyeon, and frozen snacks (p<0.05) compared to low stress group (LS) with higher frequency of snack consumption (p<0.01), and increased intakes of energy, carbohydrates, and sodium from snacks (p<0.01) than LS. As the stress level became higher, the proportions of students with irregular meals, overeating, and night snacking increased (p<0.01). Also, 33.0% of the subjects answered that they consumed an increased amount of snacks when they were feeling stressed. Our results indicated that stress has negative influence on snack consumption in middle school girls.
