A Study of Blind Spot Analysis for Public Transportation by Level of Service (LOS) in Public Transportation Supply Service (GIS를 이용한 시내버스와 도시철도 공급서비스 수준 측면의 대중교통 사각지대 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the blind spot for public transportation by level of service(LOS) in public transportation supply service. For the purpose, we proposed indices of service coverage area, service frequency and hours of service and analysis method for them. Service coverage area analysis is to decide station location and network design for the maximum beneficiary area. Moreover, we can use the service frequency is for the maximum service frequency decision and hours of service is for the minimum operation hours. The results of this study are applied to the plan of minimum supply service, minimum service frequency and minimum operation hours for city and national public transportation plan.

  • For effective analysis of animal ecosystems, technology that can automatically identify the current status of animal habitats is crucial. Specifically, animal sound classification, which identifies species based on their sounds, is gaining great attention where video-based discrimination is impractical. Traditional studies have relied on a single deep learning model to classify animal sounds. However, sounds collected in outdoor settings often include substantial background noise, complicating the task for a single model. In addition, data imbalance among species may lead to biased model training. To address these challenges, in this paper, we propose an animal sound classification scheme that combines predictions from multiple models using Focal Loss, which adjusts penalties based on class data volume. Experiments on public datasets have demonstrated that our scheme can improve recall by up to 22.6% compared to an average of single models.

Development of Signalized-Intersection LOS Determination Method Based on Satefy (교통안전에 의한 신호교차로 서비스수준 결정방법의 개발)

  • 신호교차로 서비스수준은, 객관적으로 측정 할 수 있는 여러 가지 기준에 의해 결정될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 지체시간(Delay), 교통사고수(Number of Accident), 교통사고율(Accident Rate), 충돌수(Traffic Conflict), 그리고 교통사고에 노출된 차량수(Exposure)등이다. 지금까지는 1985 Highway Capacity Manual(HCM)에서 소개된 지체시간에 의한 서비스수준 결정방법이 널리 사용되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 1985 HCM 방법의 중용성과 유용성에 대해 논하지 않고, 교통안전(Safety)에 의한 신호교차로 서비스수준 결정방법을 제시하였다. 교차로의 위험도(Degree of Intersection Hazard)를 예측하기 위해, 교통사고빈도 수가 가장 높은 두가지 교통사고 유형, 즉 좌회전추돌(Left-Tum)과 후미추돌(Rear-End) 예측 모형이 개발되었다. 여기서 첫째, 좌회전추돌 위험도를 예측하기 위하여 음지수 분포(Negative-Exponential Distribution)를 이용한 확률적 모형이 개발되었다. 둘째, 후미추돌 위험도를 예측하기 위하여 연속류 모형(Continuum Model)을 이용한 거시적 모형이 개발되었다. 개발된 두가지 모형을 이용하여 신호교차로 안전도를 예측하였으며 교차로 서비스수준이 안전도에 의해 결정되었다. 본 논문에서 제시된 교통안전에 의한 신호교차로 서비스수준 결정방법은 연동교차로를 제외한 독립교차로에만 적용이 된다.

A Study on the Effect of Upstream Parking to Traffic at the 4-Leg Intersection (교차로 상류부 주차가 교통에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • One of the traffic problems has been caused by the illegal parking because of the lack of parking space. Especially, the illegal occupancy of the road near an intersection makes an serious reduction of road capacity. The current illegal parking and stop-prohibited areas have been designated for less than 5 meters from the edge or the corner of the 4-leg intersection. However, in reality, the cars parked at the place over 5 meters have had a significant impact on the intersection traffic. In addition, many variables such as intersection type, size, and service levels should be considered as factors which influence on the traffic condition at the intersection. It was assumed that through and right-turn traffic rate have a significant impact on the 4-leg intersection with the illegal parking or stop near it. This study tried to verify the impact through the simulation implementation with MOE and LOS. It shows a guideline to designate the parking or stop-prohibited area near the 4-leg intersection under various traffic conditions.

  • This study forecasts the trend of ethnic theme through market survey, concentrating on Los Angeles market. First, the background of ethnic theme was examined, and the present situation of shops, department sores, and headquarter was also surveyed. After that, fashion trend suitable for market was suggested by analyzing the life style of consumers through zip code. The results of the study are as follows. The conspicuous trend of '97 F/W retail stores is ethnic. This reaction to complicated modern life, and symbolizes the desirable evaluation on the simpleness of basic life and nature. The model of ethnic design is identified in natural clothing, primitive arts, ethnic culture and African theme. In short, this ethnic fashion is expressed as simpleness, naturalism convenience and freedom. On the other hand, the standard of general department stores such as Broadway and Robinson May which are the headquarter of this trend is to satisfy various consumers with various styles. Ethnic goods from Broadway has not arrived at the top for its introducing step. To elevate sales of these goods, promotion through VMD and suggesting various ethnic goods should be done. Besides, when analyzing the consumers of Beverly center Broadway, the target of these goods are mostly professional young people in their 25-34 and 35-44. The life style of these people emphasizes sophisticated life in aspects such as job-oriented activities, and up-to-date fashion. Especially, image is very important. They want individuality different from others. These images are diversified from simpleness, naiveness to sexy character. Accordingly, suggesting fashion trend satisfying the demand of consumers through market survey will make fashion market create infinite possibilities.

  • Establishing a public transportation transfer system that can reduce personal automobile use in the CBD and absorb the demand, thereby reducing congestion, is a necessity. However, the current transfer system and facilities are lacking in intermodal connectivity, require long transfer times, have complex flow patterns, and are lacking in information systems and convenience. The design analysis program of this study is to develop a program that executes computations of design analysis of transfer facilities by utilizing the existing design standards for facilities such as facilities for boarding and alighting, elements for convenience, and pedestrian facilities. Developing an analytical tool through which individual or integrated design analysis can be conducted on the design standards of various facilities is an important study for improving the work accuracy and efficiency of designing an actual transfer center.

  • In this paper, we introduce a concept of HEMP systems and analyze a shielding effectiveness by varying placements of the antenna elements. Maxwell's equations for the high frequency of the EMP is represented in the LOS. In order to investigate the effects of electromagnetic attenuations, a shielding room was constructed and employed to obtain measured data. Shielding effects were measured by changing frequency and the distance of receiving antenna. Each measured value was compared to U.S. standard and measuring method was simplified. shielding effects were measured by three different conditions of shielding room. Find the difference between forward measurement and reverse measurement and factors which affects the measurement in shielding room.

  • 연료전지의 상용화 시점에 이르러 내구성에 대한 기술 확보가 점점 더 부각되고 있다. 현재 연료전지의 내구성을 감소시키는 1차적인 요인은 핵심부품인 촉매, 전해질막, MEA(Membrane & Electrode Assembly) 등에 의한 것이며 2차적인 요인은 운전 시스템 및 환경 등에 의해 결정되어진다. 특히, 연료전지자동차는 이동용, 가정용, 발전용에 비하여 부하변동이 극심한 조건에서 운전되기 때문에 연료전지 시스템의 내구성 확보에 많은 제어기술이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 연료전지자동차 운전조건(Driving mode)을 부하변동 기준에 의한 고전류, 중전류, 저전류의 3가지 모드로 분류하였다. 각각의 운전조건에서 일정 cycle마다 성능곡선을 측정하여 10만 cycle 이상의 반복운전을 수행하였으며 측정된 성능곡선을 empirical equation에 적용하여 시간에 따른 overvoltage 인자에 대한 분석을 하였다. 운전시간이 증가함에 따라 고전류 모드의 경우 activation overvoltage 인자 중 current density loss가 증가하여 OCV가 급격히 감소하였으나 내구성은 저전류 모드에 비하여 높게 나타났다. 저전류 모드의 경우 고전류 모드와 상반된 결과를 보였으며 성능감소요인은 activation 및 ohmic overvoltage의 점차적인 증가에 의한 것으로 분석되었다.

A study on Mechanical properties of Waterborne polyurethane dispersion by Monoammonium phosphate (Monoamonium Phosphate를 이용한 수분산 폴리우레탄 수지의 합성과 물성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we have synthesized waterborne polyurethane dispersion(WPU) and analyzed mechanical properties of WPU film and leather coatings in different content of monoammonium phosphate. According to the measured data by DSC, sample WPU-AM3 which included high content of monoammonium phosphate showed the highest Tm at $382^{\circ}C$. All samples had good solvent resistance. In tensile tests, WPU-AM3($2.130kg_f/mm^2$) had the lowest physical properties. Also abrasion resistance properteis and elongation properties were investigated, WPU-AM3 had lowest physical properties with 52.07 mg.loss for abraison and 615 % of elongation.

Characteristics of First Flush in Highway Storm Runoff (강우시 발생하는 고속도로 유출수의 초기우수 특성 및 기준)

  • Vehicle emissions from highway landuse include different pollutants such as heavy metals, oil and grease and particulates from fuels, brake pad wear and tire wear. Since highways are impervious and have high pollutant mass emissions from vehicular activity, it is considered as stormwater intensive landuses. Therefore this research was performed to understand the magnitude of first flush and to suggest the criteria of first flush for storm runoff management in highways. The fractions of washed-off mass are very high in first 30% of runoff volume, which suggests a definition of first flush. The washed-off mass stabilizes after 30% of the runoff volume and it is apparent that treatment capacity in the early part of a storm is more valuable than treatment capacity in the later part of the storm. Using the criteria of "high" first flush and "medium" first flush, as 50% of the mass in the first 30% of the volume, and 30 to 50% in the first 30% volume, respectively, more than 30% of the storms showed high first flush. A "first flush friendly" best management practice(BMP), meaning a BMP that can treat a high percentage or all of the initial flow, would be advantageous up to 80% of the events.
