We consider the stabilization problem for a class of networked control systems with neutral type of time delays. The neutral type of time-delays occur in controller-to-actuator and sensor-to-controller. The Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to represent a nonlinear system with neutral type of time-delays. The stabilization via state-feedback is first addressed, and delay-range-dependent stabilization conditions are proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, an application example will be given to show the merits and design a procedure of the proposed approach.

This paper discusses a design of intelligent controller with time delay for Internet-based remote control. The finite Markovian process is adopted to model the input delay of the overall control system. It is assumed that the zero and hold devices are used for control input. The Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy system with uncertain input delay is utilized to represent nonlinear plant. The continuous-time T-S fuzzy system with the Markovian input delay is discretized for easy handling delay, accordingly, the discretized T-S fuzzy system is represented by a discrete-time T-S fuzzy system with jumping parameters. The robust stochastic stabilizibility of the jump T-S fuzzy system is derived and formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). An experimental results is provided to visualize the feasibility of the proposed method.

A novel neural network model, termed the standard neural network model (SNNM), similar to the nominal model in linear robust control theory, is suggested to facilitate the synthesis of controllers for delayed (or non-delayed) nonlinear systems composed of neural networks. The model is composed of a linear dynamic system and a bounded static delayed (or non-delayed) nonlinear operator. Based on the global asymptotic stability analysis of SNNMs, Static state-feedback controller and dynamic output feedback controller are designed for the SNNMs to stabilize the closed-loop systems, respectively. The control design equations are shown to be a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved by various convex optimization algorithms to determine the control signals. Most neural-network-based nonlinear systems with time delays or without time delays can be transformed into the SNNMs for controller synthesis in a unified way. Two application examples are given where the SNNMs are employed to synthesize the feedback stabilizing controllers for an SISO nonlinear system modeled by the neural network, and for a chaotic neural network, respectively. Through these examples, it is demonstrated that the SNNM not only makes controller synthesis of neural-network-based systems much easier, but also provides a new approach to the synthesis of the controllers for the other type of nonlinear systems.

This paper presents a method for designing guaranteed cost fuzzy filter with a desired H$_{\infty}$ disturbance rejection constraint of delayed fuzzy dynamic systems. This method not only guarantees an induced L$_2$ norm bound constraint on disturbance attenuation, but also minimizes an upper bound on a linear quadratic performance measure. A sufficient condition for the existence of guaranteed cost fuzzy filter with H$_{\infty}$ constraint is then presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). A simulation example is given to illustrate the design procedures and performances of the proposed methods.

This paper deals with a stochastic stabilization of observer-based output-feedback control Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy system with Markovian input delay. The finite Markovian process is adopted to model the input delay of the overall control system. It is assumed that the zero and hold devices are used for control input. The continuous-time T-S fuzzy system with the Markovian input delay is discretized for easy handling delay, accordingly, the discretized T-S fuzzy system is represented by a discrete-time T-S fuzzy system with jumping parameters. The stochastic stabilizability of the jump T-S fuzzy system is derived and formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The usefulness of the proposed algorithm is also certificated by simulation of 2 degree of freedom helicopter model.

This paper presents a new short-term load forecasting system using data mining. Since the electric load has very different pattern according to the day, it definitely gives rise to the forecasting error if only one forecasting model is used. Thus, to resolve this problem, the fuzzy model-based classifier and predictor are proposed for the forecasting of the hourly electric load. The proposed classifier is the multi-input and multi-output fuzzy system of which the consequent part is composed of the Bayesian classifier. The proposed classifier attempts to categorize the input electric load into Monday, Tuesday$\sim$Friday, Saturday, and Sunday electric load, Then, we construct the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model-based predictor for each class. The parameter identification problem is converted into the generalized eigenvalue problem (GEVP) by formulating the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, to show the feasibility of the proposed method, this paper provides the short-term load forecasting example.

There have been several recent studies concerning the stability of fuzzy control system and the synthesis
of stabilizing fuzzy controllers. This paper reports on a related study nf the TS (Takagi-Sugeno)
fuzzy systems, and it is shown that the controller synthesis problems for the nonlinear systems described
by the TS fuzzy model can be reduced to convex problems involving LMIs (linear matrix ineclualities).
After classifying the TS fuzzy systems into three families based on how diverse their input
matrices are, different controller synthesis procedure is given for each of these families. A numerical example
is presented to illustrate the synthesis procedures developed in this paper.

This paper studies secure wireless transmission from a multi-antenna transmitter to a single-antenna intended receiver overheard by multiple eavesdroppers with considering the imperfect channel state information (CSI) of wiretap channel. To enhance security of communication link, the artificial noise (AN) is generated at transmitter. We first design the robust joint optimal beamforming of secret signal and AN to minimize transmit power with constraints of security quality of service (QoS), i.e., minimum allowable signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) at receiver and maximum tolerable SINR at eavesdroppers. The formulated design problem is shown to be nonconvex and we transfer it into linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The semidefinite relaxation (SDR) technique is used and the approximated method is proved to solve the original problem exactly. To verify the robustness and tightness of proposed beamforming, we also provide a method to calculate the worst-case SINR at eavesdroppers for a designed transmit scheme using semidefinite programming (SDP). Additionally, the secrecy rate maximization is explored for fixed total transmit power. To tackle the nonconvexity of original formulation, we develop an iterative approach employing sequential parametric convex approximation (SPCA). The simulation results illustrate that the proposed robust transmit schemes can effectively improve the transmit performance.

In this paper, we consider the problem of realizing associative memories via cellular neural network(CNN). After introducing qualitative properties of the CNN model, we formulate the synthesis of CNN that can store given binary vectors with optimal performance as a constrained optimization problem. Next, we observe that this problem's constraints can be transformed into simple inequalities involving linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). Finally, we reformulate the synthesis problem as a generalized eigenvalue problem(GEVP), which can be efficiently solved by recently developed interior point methods. Proposed method can be applied to both space varying template CNNs and space-invariant template CNNs. The validity of the proposed approach is illustrated by design examples.
The land informatization methodology is the system development methodology that can be applied to the land information system to construct, manage and use the land information. Therefore, understanding of development methodology of information system and special conditions regarding the land informatization is very important. In order to enhance the understanding of land informatization, we tried various analyses on the previous land information systems developed in KOREA(PBLIS, LMIS, KLIS, KRAS) first. Then, we make a basic system development methodology to fit the land information reference model based on EA(Enterprise Architecture) and components based system. In addition, we investigate various problems or issues that occurred during the process of 30years' experience in KOREA land informatization. At last, we construct the detailed land informatization methodology which was added the method how to tasks to be carried out in each stage to solve those issues. It is the unique land informatization methodology having the most of the distinct characteristics of land information.
