외부하중을 받는 선형 롤러베어링의 LM 블록 변형을 고려한 변위 모델링 (Modeling of Displacement of Linear Roller Bearing Subjected to External Forces Considering LM Block Deformation)

  • 선형 롤러베어링은 하중이 크고 정밀성이 요구되는 이송장치를 지지하기 위해 광범위하게 사용되는 기계요소이다. 본 논문에서는 외력을 받는 선형 롤러베어링의 변위를 계산하기 위한 새로운 모델링 방법을 제시하였다. 먼저 LM 블록을 강체로 가정하여 롤러와 LM 블록의 지배방정식을 유도하였고 Newton-Raphson법을 이용해 계산하였다. 롤러와 레이스 사이의 접촉하중은 롤러의 형상을 고려하여 슬라이싱 기법을 이용하여 계산하였다. 강체 LM 블록 모델에 의해 계산된 접촉하중을 활용하여 LM 블록의 구조적 변형을 유한요소 모델로부터 계산하였다. 최종적인 변위는 강체 LM 블록을 가정한 모델로부터 계산된 변위와 LM 블록 구조해석 결과를 조합하여 도출하였다. 제안된 방법에 의한 결과와 베어링 제작 업체 프로그램 결과와의 비교를 통해 제안된 방법을 검증하였다.

  • A ballscrew-linear motion(LM) guide is well-described by its name: it is a LM guide that runs by ballscrew. It consists of LM rail, LM block, end plate, screw, nut and bearing balls. The ballscrew-LM guide has many advantages compared with conventional LM guide. The high efficiency achieved with rolling contact devices permits the employment of antibacklash methods. The balls provide the only physical contact between nut rail and block and ball screw and nut replacing the sliding friction with a rolling motion. The life of the ballscrew-LM is determinated by the balls. The objective of this paper is to introduce the design of the ballscrew-LM with the safety working load.

  • The objective of this paper is to introduce the standard of evaluation methods and fatigue test for linear motion rolling bearing. In particular, attention well be given to the list of evaluation and fatigue results in this paper. The life of a linear motion rolling bearing is given by the length of distance covered between the connection parts before the first evidence of fatigue develops in the material of one of the raceways of rolling elements. The main factors that contribute to fatigue failures include: Number of load cycles experienced; Range of stress experienced in each load cycle; Mean stress experienced in each toad cycle; Presence of local stress concentrations.

  • The linear motion (LM) guide using ball bearing has many advantages compared with conventional sliding guides. Therefore, LM guide using ball bearing has been used widely to increase the accuracy of the position of a system. This research investigates dynamic characteristics of LM guide through mainly linear analysis. Linear analysis is accomplished by Lagrange equation and finite element method. And another trial that is nonlinear analysis about one mode of LM guide(bouncing mode) from Hertzian contact theory is accomplished in the latter half of this research. Through nonlinear analysis we could observe the softening characteristic due to the Hertzian contact nonlinearity.

공작기계 LM 베어링의 정동적 특성을 반영하는 전산 모델링 (A Computational Modeling Reflecting Static and Dynamic Characteristics of LM Bearings for Machine Tools)

  • This paper suggests a computational modeling to reflect static/dynamic characteristics of LM bearings. A theoretical study for modeling LM bearings is elucidated by using the Hertz contact theory, the Lagrange's equation of motion, normal mode analysis and a calculation of equivalent moment center. The complex geometry of LM bearings is replaced by a simplified model with eight springs only. The suggested model reflects static and dynamic characteristics of LM bearings without any consideration for the shape of the bed or stages on the LM bearings. The modal experimental results are compared to the simulation results with the suggested computational modeling. The difference between the experiments and simulation is calculated less than 8%.

  • This paper is concerned with Accuracy Design of LM Guide System in Machine Tools. Elastic deformation of bearing is calculated by Hertz contact theory and motion error of LM block is analyzed. A new algorithm using block stiffness is proposed fur the analysis of motion accuracy of the table. The best advantage of this algorithm is fast analysis speed because it isn't necessary iteration processes for satisfying equilibrium equation of the table. Motion errors of the table analyzed under artificial form error of rail theoretically and experimentally. Only one of two rails is bent by putting a thickness gauge into horizontal direction. This form error of rail is measured by gap sensor against the other rail. Then, motion errors of the table are predicted by proposed new algorithm theoretically and measured by laser interferometer. Measurements are carried out by changing the preload and thickness. The results show that the table motion errors are reduced from 1/2 to 1/60 times than form error of rail according to its height and width. And the effect of preloading is almost negligible.
