재료동특성에 기초한 방사성물질 운반용기 충격완충체의 치수최적설계 (Size Optimization of Impact Limiter in Radioactive Material Transportation Package Based on Material Dynamic Characteristics)

  • According to IAEA regulations, a transportation package of radioactive material should perform its intended function of containing the radioactive contents after the drop test, which is one of hypothetical accident conditions. Impact limiters attached to a transport cask absorb the most of impact energy. So, it is appreciated to determine properly the shape, size and material of impact limiters. A material data needed in this determination is a dynamic one. In this study, several materials considered as those of impact limiters were tested by a drop weight facility to acquire dynamic material characteristics data. Impact absorbing volume of the impact limiter was derived mathematically for each drop condition. A size optimization of impact limiter was conducted. The derived impact absorbing volumes were applied as constraints. These volumes should be less than critical volumes generated based on the dynamic material characteristics. The derived procedure to decide the shape of impact limiter can be useful at the preliminary design stage when the transportation package's outline is roughly determined and applied as input value.

개폐과전압 발생시 지중송전선로 편단접지 구간에서 SVL에 미치는 과도특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on SVL Transient Characteristics by Switching Overvoltage at Single Point Bonding Section in Underground Transmission Cables)

  • This paper describes sheath voltage limiter(SVL) transient characteristics by switching overvoltage considering single point bonding in underground transmission cables. The crossbonding system is generally used for grounding methods of underground transmission system. However, the single point bonding system is used in selective area which is difficult to consist of crossbonding major section. The sheath voltage limiters are connected between joints in the single point bonding. Specially, the high overvoltage might be generated in that section as well as the aging of sheath voltage limiter might be progressed by various electrical stress including lightning overvoltage, switching overvoltage and power frequency overvoltage. Therefore, in this paper, the switching overvoltage characteristics in underground cables are firstly analysed using EMTP simulation. Then, the switching overvoltage of sheath voltage limiter is also studied in single point bonding. Finally, the reduction method of sheath voltage limiter switching overvoltage is proposed by various simulation studies including circuit breaker operating order.

확장된 신호 감쇄대역을 갖는 다중 PIN다이오드 도파관 리미터 설계 (Design of the Multi-PIN Diode Waveguide Limiter with Extended Attenuation Bandwidth)

  • 본 논문에서는 Ku대역 레이더시스템의 핵심부품인 리미터에 대한 설계 및 제작 결과에 대해서 다룬다. 도파관 구조인 다중 PIN다이오드 스위치 특성을 적용하여 설계한 리미터의 신호감쇄 대역을 확장하여, 광대역에서 신호감쇄가 가능하도록 설계 및 구현을 하였다. 제작된 리미터를 대상으로 실험한 결과, PIN다이오드 스위치가 모두 OFF일 때 유입되는 신호가 감쇄없이 전달되었고, 순차적으로 PIN다이오드 스위치가 ON되면 Ku대역 유입 신호가 20dB이상, 그리고 모두 ON이 되면 1000MHz 대역폭 범위에서 50dB 이상의 감쇄가 이루어지는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 정상분을 추출하여 이용하는 기존의 PLL 방식을 무정전전원장치에 적합한 형태로 개선한 PLL 방식을 제안하였다. 제안된 PLL 방식은 기존의 PI 제어기에 주파수 제한기(limiter)와 안티 와인드업(anti-windup)을 추가하였다. 이것의 기본적인 동작 원리는 기존의 방법들과 같지만, 차이점은 주파수 제한기의 삽입으로 인하여 주파수 변동률을 일정한 범위 내에서 제한할 수 있다는 것이다. 기존의 PLL 방법과 제안된 주파수를 제한한 PLL 방법의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 동적 전압 보상기로 전압을 보상하는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 하였고, 결과적으로 제안된 주파수를 제한한 PLL 방법이 무정전전원장치에 적합함을 입증하였다.

자기회로의 위상학적 상사성을 이용한 전류제한기 구조에 관한 연구 (The Research for a Structure of Current Limiter using a Phasic Similitude of Magnetic Circuit)

  • In this paper, current limiter using a magnetic switching which is based on magnetic flux change in the case of fault is proposed. This current limiter consists of iron-core and three parts of coils. One is the primary coil connected to the power system. Another is the secondary coil wound to the opposite direction of the primary coil's winding. The other is the secondary of the secondary coil which is a movable copper plate winding and located below the secondary coil. In the normal state, the magnetic flux produced in the primary and secondary coils flows to the opposite directions each other and becomes to be canceled out. Therefore the voltages induced between the coils are zero. In the case of a fault, at the moment of a fault occurrence recognition, the switch connected to a secondary coil is opened and the secondary of the secondary coil is pulled out to the outside of the iron-core. Then, magnetic flux becomes to flow through the iron-core. Accordingly, the voltage is induced between the both ends of the primary coil and makes the current reduced. Therefore it is possible to cut off the circuit breaker easily with the proposed current limiter. This paper analyzes the current limiting effects and the detailed results are given.

  • All mechanical systems have saturation nonlinearity in actuators or in final control elements. When controllers have integral action, reset windup can cause instability as well as make the system performance unsatisfactory. In this study, an intelligent limiter which needs no tuning of parameters is tested with the PDF controller used for control of a second order plant. This paper presents analysis of the stability of the system using the describing function method and the Nyquist stability theorem. The improvement of the system performance by the limiter is illustrated by computer simulations.

  • When a saturating control system has integral action, reset windup can cause instability as well as make the system performance unsatisfactory. An antirset-windup (ARW) limiter has been suggested to improve the stability and performance. It has been implemented with analog circuits and tested by simulations. This paper presents the stability condition of a double-integrator plant having the state feedback plus integral-action controller with the ARW limiter by using both Liapunov's second method and graphical method together.

  • According to the rapid growth of transmission power, fault current level approaches to the maximum capacity of circuit breaker. This paper has been proposed a superconducting current limiter (SCL) to reduce the fault current to appropriate level. Superconductor for SCL has been examined and design criterion of each triggering method has been shown. Superconducting current limiter was fabricated using thin film and switching characteristics were shown, where thermal and current triggering were adopted.

  • 단조성 유지 개념을 기반으로, 임의의 격자계에서 적용할 수 있는 새로운 제한자를 개발하였다. 본 논문에서 개발된 제한자는 임의의 계산 격자계에서 정확성과 단조성을 유지할 수 있는 특성을 가졌으며, 이러한 특성으로 인하여 spectral volume 기법으로의 적용이 가능하다. 또한 이 제한자는 smooth extremum에서 물성치의 변화를 허용하여 내삽된 물성치의 정확도를 향상시켜주는 역할을 한다. 일차원, 이차원 수치 해석의 결과를 통하여 본 논문에서 개발된 제한자의 특성을 검증하였다.

  • The fault current has increased due to the large power demand in power distribution system and network distribution system. To protect the power system effectively from the increased fault current, the superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) has been notified. However, the conventional SFCL has some problems such as cost, operation, recovery, loss. To solve some problems, the hybrid superconducting fault current limiter using the fast switch was proposed. However, hybrid SFCL also has a problem that is protection coordination in power distribution system with hybrid SFCL. In this paper, the fault current limiting characteristics of hybrid SFCL with first half cycle non-limiting operation according to the fault angle, the resistance of superconducting element, and the magnitude of Current Limit Resistor (CLR) which are the components of hybrid SFCL were analyzed through the experiments.
