In this paper the instantaneous thrust of a linear induction motor(LIM) with cage-type secondary is estimated by the line voltages and phase currents measurement when the LIM is fed by PWM inverter. The estimated thrust values according to various input frequencies are compared with the measured ones.

An asymptotically distribution-free procedure is proposed for paralleism of k regression lines against umbrella alternatives. Asymptotic properties are discussed, and comparative results relative to Kim and Lim(1994)'s tests show that our procedure is generally more powerful.

Using the extensional vibration mode of PZT bar, a piezopump is successfully made. The traveling extensional wave along the circumference of the bar is obtained by dividing standing waves which are temporally and spatially phase shifted by 90 degrees from each other. The proposed piezopump is consisted of coaxial cylindrical shells that are bonded piezoelectric ceramic bar.

Let A be Noetherian ring, a= (${\tau}_1..., \tau_n$ an ideal of A and $C_{A}$ be category of A-modules and A-homomorphisms. We show that the connected left sequences of covariant functors ${limH_i(K.(t^t,-))}_{i\geq0}$ and ${lim{{Tor^A}_i}(\frac{A}{a^f}-)}_{i\geq0}$ are isomorphic from $C_A$ to itself, where $\tau^t\;=\;{{\tau_^t}_1$, ㆍㆍㆍ${\tau^t}_n$.

Cysticercosis is the most common parasitic infection affecting the central nervous system. Spinal neurocysticercosis (NCC) is very rare compared with intracranial NCC arid requires more aggressive management because these lesions are poorly tolerated. The authors report a case of intradural extramedullary cysticercosis of the entire level of spine with review of the literature.
