The chemical and photochemical decolorization of Rhodamine B (RhB) in water has been carried out by Fenton, Fenton-like and photo-Fenton-like process. The effect of applied $H_2O_2,\;Fe^{2+}$ dosage (Fenton process), $H_2O_2,\;Fe^{\circ}$ dosage (Fenton-like and photo-Fenton-like process), UV light power (photo-Fenton-like process) pH (all processes) have been studied. The results obtained showed that more than 98% of color removal was obtained for the RhB solutions in every process. However, Fenton-like process was not suitable for the color removal of RhB because Fenton-like process was required much more reagents than Fenton and photo-Fenton-like process. The Fenton and photo-Fenton-like process showed similar reagents need. Optimum pH for three processes in this study is about pH 3. The relative order of sensitivity for pH of each process was: Fenton-like > photo-Fenton-like > Fenton.

A mammary epithelial cell line (MAC-T) established as a model for lactation was utilized to identify and characterize effects of various hormones upon insulin-like growth factor binding protein secretion. Ligand and immunoblot analyses of conditioned media indicated that insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 was secreted by MAC-T cells. Insulin-like growth factor-I stimulated insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 secretion in a dose-dependent manner, but prolactin and bovine somatotropin did not alter insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 secretion. Insulin increased and cortisol decreased insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 secretion. Effects of insulin-like growth factor-I on insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 secretion support previous studies using primary cultures of bovine mammary cells and bovine fibroblasts. Effects of cortisol and insulin on insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 secretion may be explained by changes in protein synthesis. In addition, supraphysiological doses of insulin can cross-react with the insulin-like growth factor-I receptor and stimulate insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 secretion. MAC-T cells provide a model system to study mechanisms that regulate local insulin-like growth factor-I bioactivity.

In this paper, tangram-like puzzles which are made by dissecting square are introduced. Especially, tangram-like puzzles which are consists of five pieces, six pieces, seven pieces, eight pieces, nine pieces, ten pieces, twelve pieces, fourteen pieces are introduced. But, This Introduction is very superficial. It means introduction is focused on each piece's geometrical shape, relative area when each tangram-like puzzles' area is one. With this introduction, six tangram-like puzzles' implication in mathematics education are suggested as followings. (1) Tangram-like puzzles may help fostering spatial senses. (2) Tangram-like puzzles may help teaching polygons, and its properties, congruences, similarities, etc. (3)Tangram-like puzzles may help teaching additions of fractions. (4) Tangram-like puzzles may help fostering mathematical thinking. (5) Tangram-like puzzles may serve as topics for supplement or reinforcement in teaching and learning tangram. (6) Tangram-like puzzles may serve as topics for problem posing in teaching and learning tangram.

Cells are eliminated in a variety of physiological settings by apoptosis, a genetically encoded process of cellular suicide. Bak, a member of the Bcl-2 protein family, accelerates apoptosis by an unknown mechanism. We have found a novel cDNA encoding a 101 amino acid protein possessing a Bak-like in our full-length cDNA bank. Bak-like shares the conserved domains BHI and 2 with other proapoptotic proteins but lacks the BH3 domain. Bak-like is expressed in a wide variety of tissues. Like Bak, Bak-like gene product primarily enhances apoptotic cell death following an appropriate stimulus.

This research examines the attributes of the Korean costume culture inherent in the expression of "-like" by focusing on the professional roles implied in the style of clothes. Based on a random sampling, the sample was comprised of 315 male and female college students who reside in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The results were as followed: 1. Subjects preferred the blouse as the most "female student-like" upper wear. The female students recognized the Y-shirts as the "male teacher-like" upper wear while the male picked the Y-shirts for this category. For the "student-like" sleeve length, the female selected the cap sleeves and the three-quarter sleeves for the female and selected the short sleeves for the male. Subjects preferred the Peter Pan and the sailor collars for the "female student-like" category and selected the shirt collars as the most "male teacher-like" and "male student-like" style. 2 Subjects perceived the A-line and the flared skirts as the "female student-like" dresses. For the lengths of skirts, subjects agreed that the above-knee. the below-knee and the midi length were all proper for female teachers. For the length of pants, subjects selected the 9/10 as the most "female teacher-like" style. 3. Subjects selected black, white, light purple and beige as the preferred colors for female teachers. Subjects chose white and yellow as the most "female student-like" colors and picked the colors, navy blue, light blue and blue, as the "male-like" and "male teacher-like" colors.

본 연구는 소셜미디어 사용에 있어 like 기능에 대한 인식이, 자신이 받은 like의 수에 의해 어떻게 영향을 받는 지 알아보았다. 일반적으로 사람들은 like의 개수가 콘텐츠의 질과 유명세를 반영한다고 생각한다. 그러나 본 연구는 사람들이 like에 대해 고정된 인식을 갖고 있지 않고, 상황에 따라 변하는, 양가적인 인식을 가진다는 점에서 출발하였다. 구체적으로, 연구모델은 사람들로부터 받은 like에 대한 감정적인 반응이 like의 가치 판단에 영향을 미칠 수 있다고 제안한다. 또한 그 과정에서 생성되는 like에 대한 모순적인 판단을 전통적으로 알려진 지각에서 감정으로 생성되는 메커니즘을 감정에서 지각으로 형성되는 메커니즘으로 전환함으로써 해결한다고 제안한다. 이에 대한 검증은 548명의 소셜미디어 사용자들을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 분석 결과는 소셜 미디어 사용자들의 like에 대한 태도는 그들이 받은 like 수에 대한 감정적 반응에 영향을 받는다는 것을 보여주었다. 본 연구는 소셜 미디어 사용자들의 like에 대한 양가적인 태도를 그들이 받은 like의 수에 대한 가치 판단을 기반으로 설명한다는 점에서 시사점을 준다.

The three-dimensional structure of the Sertoli cell in the Korean native bull was investigated by scanning electron microscopy. Morphologically, four types of Sertoli cell processes were evident: 1) sheet-like processes, 2) sleeve-like processes, 3) bough-like processes and 4) finger-like processes. The sheet-like processes rested upon more than half of the surface of each spermatogonia, spermatocyte and spermatid. Sleeve-like processes, bough-like processes and finger-like processes are observed in the middle and apical portion of seminiferous tubule. All Sertoli cell processes are originated from Sertoli cell column. Just before spermiation, the apical sheet-like processes are shifted from their position at the spermatid head, and bough-like processes covered the disengaged residual body, after which the residual body was no longer evident in the tubule. Though the mechanism for this elimination is not known, the process suggests a reciprocity between the Sertoli and germ cells.

Adenylate kinase-like activity and phosphotransferase-like activity from $F_1$-ATPase of Escherichia coli was revealed by $^{31}P$ NMR spectroscopy. Incubation of F1-ATPase with ADP in the presence of $Mg^{2+}$ shows the appearance of $^{31}P$ resonances from AMP and Pi, suggesting generation of AMP and ATP by adenylate kinase-like activity and the subsequent hydrolysis to Pi. Incubation of $F_1$-ATPase with ADP in the presence of methanol shows additional peak from methyl phosphate, suggesting phosphotransferase-like activity of $F_1$-ATPase. Both adenylate kinase-like activity and phosphotransferase-like activity has not been reported from $F_1$-ATPase of Escherichia coli. $^{31}P$ NMR could be a valuable tool for the investigation of phosphorous related enzyme.

Surimi-like samples were divided into four groups (C, surimi-like material made from Alaska Pollack with all cryoprotectant ingredients; T1, surimi-like material made from chicken breast with sugar and a sorbitol-free cryoprotectant; T2, surimi-like material made from chicken breast with a sugar-free cryoprotectant; T3, surimi-like material made from chicken breast with all cryoprotectant ingredients). Water and protein content were lower in Alaska Pollack surimi-like material (C) than those in chicken breast surimi-like material. Centrifuge loss and cooking loss were higher in C than those in chicken breast surimi-like material. Lipid oxidation (thiobarbituric acid reactive substances) was lower in T3 than others during storage. In a sensory evaluation, overall acceptability was significantly higher in C than those in other samples during storage. As a result, we found that the raw material composition (Alaska Pollack or chicken breast) had a large influence on the physico-chemical characteristics and quality of surimi-like materials, whereas cryoprotectant composition may have less influence on the physico-chemical characteristics and quality of surimi-like materials.

The objective of this study is to examine the type and characteristics of hat, and also to analyze the formative characteristics of hats shown in $Pr{\hat{e}}t-{\grave{a}}$-porter Collection. The literature review focused on the relevant technical books and preceding researches while the case study targeted 1,561 photos of hats shown in the 'Donga TV Collection'. The research range was from the S/S season of 2012 to the F/W season of 2015/16. The results of this study are as follows. 1. A hat is composed of crown and brim. In the results of classifying hats based on it, there were 572 crown-type hats, 533 hat-type, 219 cap-type, 156 irregular-type, and 81 brim-type in the order. 2. For the crown-type hats, they were mainly like cylindrical-type, bell-type, dome-type, and circle-type, using colors like black, beige, brown, red, mustard, and grey, and materials like wool, fur, velvet, straw, and metal while they were decorated with bead or lace. 3. For the hat-type hats, they were mainly like bell-type, ladder-type, and hemisphere-type, using colors like peach, white, gold, brown, and khaki, and materials like silk, cotton, straw, and wool while they were decorated with feather and ribbon. 4. For the cap-type hats, they were mainly like hemisphere-type, using colors like white, black, khaki, mustard, and purple, and materials like fur, leather, and wool while they were decorated with wappen and chain. 5. For the irregular-type hats, they were mainly like sandglass-type, box-type, animal-type, trumpet-type, and bell-type, using colors like purple, orange, pink, yellow, and sky-blue, and materials like metal, feather, mesh, plastic, straw, and linen while they were decorated with ribbon, net, bell, and flower. 6. For the brim-type visor, they were mainly like square-type, using colors like transparent, yellow, and black, and materials like plastic, cotton, leather, and metal.
