  • 레고 마인드스톰 NXT는 다른 로봇 키드에 비해서 조작이 간편하며, 고차원적인 로봇 행위를 제어하기 위해 펌웨어인 leJOS를 지원하며, 블루투스를 이용한 원격 제어가 가능하다. 그러나 leJOS는 외부 파일을 제어하거나 센서 하드웨어가 정상 동작하지 않는 등의 몇 가지 문제점이 발견되었다. 본 논문에서는 leJOS가 갖는 이러한 일련의 문제점을 살펴보고, 이에 대한 해결책을 제시한다.

  • A reward of the work which used physical computing in fields artistic modern installation is becoming large. But the example that used a robot cannot try to easily look it up on a tool of the drawing which isn't robot use for interaction. I will mention it about a user and a drawing system design and the developmental process which I can communicate with at these papers. I used a Mindstorm NXT system to have been said in Lego companies in the robot which composed working environment, and I classified it to virtual environments that I forecasted environmental actual drawing this, and I did simulate. I used an Icommand library to control a NXT system, and drawing used a processing library in actual environments for the purpose of in order to to express to virtual environment. I got image information, and I expressed to a vector method SVG file to bases for line drawing. This system can have already made it according to demand of a user as real-time communication is possible by bluetooth working together. These figures can work to one performance not being stopping to the results of already in processes doing drawing.

  • 최근 IT분야에서는 URC(Ubiqutious Robotic Companion)라는 새로운 개념의 로봇 시스템에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 NXT Mindstorm을 이용한 길안내 네트워크 로봇 시스템을 제안한다. LEGO brick을 이용해 이동 가능한 로봇을 제작하고 RFID 시스템을 장착한다. 로봇의 이동은 네트워크 서버를 통해 NXT Mindstorm으로 직접 전달하여 제어한다. 또한 로봇의 경로이탈이 발생하면 RFID 리더는 Tag의 정보를 읽어 네트워크 서버로 전달하며, 네트워크 서버는 전달받은 데이터 처리 후 NXT Mindstorm으로 명령을 전달하여 제어한다.

  • The physical disabled are using various types of assistive devices and reading assistance device is have been researched and development. After all reading assistance device which being marketed present for the physical disabled's features is simply limited to turing the page. In this paper, Implemented prototype model of the reading assistance device for the physical disabled that is have designed to modify to improve the success rate of turing page and conjunction with mobile devices such as PDA to provide more convenient and useful features. And not only for the disabled then take a look at Universal design concept of view of the tool can be useful the public also.

Implementation of Educational Two-wheel Inverted Pendulum Robot using NXT Mindstorm (NXT Mindstorm을 이용한 교육용 이륜 도립진자 로봇 제작)

  • In this paper, we propose a controller gain based on model based design and implement the two-wheel inverted pendulum type robot using NXT Lego and RobotC language. Two-wheel inverted pendulum robot consists of NXT mindstorm, servo DC motor with encoder, gyro sensor, and accelerometer sensor. We measurement wheel angle using bulit-in encoder and calculate wheel angle speed using moving average method. Gyro measures body angular velocity and accelerometer measures body pitch angle. We calculate body angle with complementary filter using gyro and accelerometer sensor. The control gain is a weighted value for wheel angle, wheel angular velocity, body pitch angle, and body pich angular velocity, respectively. We experiment and observe the effect of two-wheel inverted pendulum with respect to change of control gains.

  • The purpose of this study was to apply other programming tools such as robots parish. The robot was utilized for Lego Mindstorms NXT. Programming tools were used to block generic programming tools were used in the NXT-G, was used as a simulation programming tools MSRDS, mobile App Inventor is a programming tool (App Inventor). It can lead to interesting effects of learning and learning based on three programming tool above.

  • To help programming learning, we have designed a robot programming course that improves complex cognitive abilities. The developed course was implemented in college programming classes and educational effects were analysed. While students are learning through LEGO Mindstorms NXT and NXT-G software, the students' problem solving abilities have been enhanced. The developed robot programming course gives positive effects on learners' problem solving abilities. It means that the developed course helps a learner in a cognitive domain.

  • In this paper, we describe a case study of a new lab. project that improves efficiency for education and interest on learning in image processing and pattern recognition related subjects by using LEGO Mindstorms. In addition we verify the validity with analysis of the practical application. LEGO Mindstorms is already used in many educational institution of several countries since about 10 years ago and various case studies have been published. The use of LEGO Mindstorms is generally positive but the negative comments about this exist. The main cause of negative opinion is from unpredictability. The unpredictability from mainly analog characteristics of robot can degrade the effective learning. The describing lab. project suppresses occurrence of unpredictability by minimizing dependence on robots. Students can concentrate on learning the related algorithms by minimizing the learning content and further consideration.

  • 최근 스마트폰의 수요증가와 대중화로 인하여 스마트폰을 활용한 다양한 연구가 진행 되고 있다. 이중 항만 물류 하역 시스템에도 스마트폰과 관련된 관심이 높아져 스마트폰을 이용한 다양한 서비스를 지원하고 그에 따른 다양한 프로젝트도 진행 중에 있다. 항만 물류 시스템은 중앙관리실에서 자동화된 시스템으로 관리되고 있으며 이중 하역장비 운용은 관리자가 중앙 관리실에서 원격으로 제어 하고 있다. 이는 관리자가 자리에 위치해 있어야만 관리가 가능하기 때문에 관리자의 이동성을 보장 하지 못한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 스마트폰으로 하역장비를 원격제어 할 수 있도록 하여 관리자의 이동성을 보장하고 보다 효율적인 작업이 가능하도록 설계하였다. 또한 이를 테스트 해보기 위해 항만 하역장비 원격제어 시스템을 Lego_NXT를 이용하여 프로토타입으로 제시한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 센서 데이터의 불확실성을 고려한 효과적인 점유 격자 지도 작성 방법을 제안하고, Lego Mindstorm NXT Kit과 leJos NXT를 이용하여 개발된 환경 지도 작성을 위한 자율 이동 로봇시스템의 설계와 구현에 대해 소개한다. 그리고 제안된 점유 격자 지도 작성 방법의 효과와 성능을 확인하기 위한 실험 결과도 소개한다.
