  • ATMega8535 Controller is the ideal solution for use as a standard controller in many applications. The small compact size combined with easy program updates and modifications, make it ideal for use in machinery and control systems, such as alarms, card readers, real-time monitoring applications and much more. This board is ideal as the brains of your robot or at the center of your home-monitoring system. Today, most drivers must use a parking place day by day. Therefore we make time shorten. Using above-mentioned ATmega8535, a sensor of infrared rays, led and lcd, we will make a parking system which is able to display parking situation and lead a car at the best position of Parking easily and quickly. Trying this project, we will be more closer to practical application of electronic engineering bit by bit.

  • 본 논문은 ARM7TDMI 칩을 사용하여 전광판 시스템을 설계하고 자체적인 한글 입출력 처리가 가능하도록 하였다. 그리고 사용자가 원하는 표출문구의 입력, 편집을 쉽고 편리하게 할 수 있는 여러가지 형태의 입력방법에 대해 연구하였다. 기본적으로 PC에 의한 유/무선 문구입력과 PDA에 의한 유무선 문구입력이 가능하게 하였다. 또한 LINUX OS가 포팅 된 PXA255프로세서 기반의 임베디드 보드에서 Graphic Library인 QT/Embedded 2.3.7을 터치패널사용이 가능하도록 포팅 하여 원격지의 전광판에 문구를 이더넷 통신방법에 의해 쉽게 바꿀 수 있게 하였으며 인터넷상에 링크되어있는 유용한 정보를 전광판에서 실시간적으로 볼 수 있도록 하였다.

The First Korean-Made IT Convergence Electric Skateboard (한국 최초 IT융합 전기스케이트보드)

  • The rise of eco-friendly personal electric mobility is a worldwide trend and the first Korean-made IT convergence electric skateboard, Youth Board, is developed to lead the trend. Youth Board is remotely controllable using either Youth Wearable Controller or Youth App through Bluetooth v4.0 communication, can speed up to 25 km/hr, and operating time is approximately 1.5 hr. A LED display located in the front side of Youth Board deck shows three different states to a rider for user convenience: remaining battery SOC, current driving speed, and braking amount. Indoor EMC test results between Youth Board and Youth Wearable Controller and outdoor Youth Board driving test results are analyzed. In particular, driving test results show the maximum current output is about 15% lowered compared to the other competitor electric skateboard and it lessens the power burden of the motor ESC. These results show Youth Board's usefulness as a personal mobility in the sense of small, light, and inexpensive aspects.

  • In the outdoor advertising and industrial sites, are trying to implement the LED electric bulletin board system that is based on image processing in order to express a variety of intention in real time. Recently, in various field, rather than simple text representation, the importance of intuitive communication using images is increasing. Thus, instead of outputting the simple input information for communication, a system that can output a real-time information being sought. Therefore, the system is directed to overcoming by converting the problem of mapping an image on a variety of conventional LED display that can not be output images, the possible image output formats. Using an LED of low power, it has developed to output the efficient messages and images within a limited resources. This paper provides a system capable of managing the LED display on the wireless network. Atmega2560, Wi-Fi module, using the server and Android applications client, rather than printing a text only, it is a system to reduce the load generated image output character output in to the conversion process as can be managed by the server.

  • In these information-communication society, the wireless system technologies are increasing to do all things with wireless solution for fast and convenient works. This trend drives ubiquitous solutions which are based on broadband wireless network that gives network connection whenever, everywhere. This paper deals a bookshelf management system using plower line communication and RFID module. This system includes a 900 MHz RFID reader, Passive RFID-Tags, an Atmeg128 microprocessor board attached LED Display Module, and a management PC with GUI Software. This system works well in power line communication, tag reading and LED display, and PC Management Software.

  • The electronic device, such as flat panel display (FPD), is very important in our life as a means of communication between humans. Liquid crystal display (LCD), which is categorized as a flat panel display, has been used in many display products, especially in TV industry. An LED TV is composed of several electrical components, such as liquid critical module (LCM), analog to digital convertor (AD), power supplier, and inverter board. These modules are very vulnerable to particulate contamination, and causing malfunction or visibility degradation. In this study, we developed a test method for prediction of LCM's lifetime. The test system consists of carbon particle generation flame, dilution system, test chamber, and particle concentration monitoring instrument. Since the carbon particles are the most abundant in the atmosphere and easily absorb light, soot particles are used as a challenging material for this test. The concentration of generated soot particles is set around 4,000,000 #/cc, which is 400 times higher than that of usual atmospheric particles. Through this experiment, we deduced the relationship between the dust concentration and life time of the test specimen.

  • The wide spread of multimedia system demands a large area viewing display device which can inform a message to many people in open area. This paper is about the design of a large area viewing LED panel control system. The control system runs on 16 bit microprocessor MC68EC000 and has following functions: 16 line clock and time, 2 channel priority interrupt, 2 channel direct memory access, 2 channel 12 bit clock and timer, 2 channel infrared remocon receiver, 2 channel RS-232C with 16 byte FIFO, IBM PC/AT compatible keyboard interface, ISA bus, battery backuped real time clock, battery backuped 256 byte SRAM and watch dog timer. The core circuits are implemented to ASIC, considering lower cost, higher reliability, higher performance, smaller dimension, and lower power consumption. This is verified by simulation and fabricated in 0.6 um CMOS SOG processes. The total gate count is 39,083 and the clock frequency is 48 MGz. The fabricated ASIC is mounted on test board.

  • This paper focuses on the Current-Voltage concurrent control method devoted to the multiple LED (light-emitting diode) string driver. Isolated DC to DC converter with cascaded chopping switch is proposed for smart lighting system such as light with sensor or back light unit of display, which need to control the current of parallel connected multiple LED stings and regulate DC voltage for micro controller for brightness control. The proposed circuit regulates the current of parallel connected multiple LED strings and additional DC voltage output simultaneously. To verify the performance, experimental results are presented based on the prototype board. 5V, 1A voltage mode electric load and two LED strings with different forward voltages are used for output loads. 23W output power is achieved and measured efficiency is in the range of 85%-87%

  • Depends on the running dry of the radio resources for the next generation of wireless communication system the estimated possibilities of the visible light which used for the devices such as signal light, the electric display board, guide board and so on applied for the next generation wireless network is the topic to be explored in this paper. Since radiation efficiency utilization for the wireless network has its capacity to become a trend direction we will study also on its application as well as the technique standardization.

  • The information delivery and transmission media(DID or PID) market is making remarkable growth as the high-speed networks are spreading and LCD/LED TVs are more and more popularized, and display devices are increasingly large and high-definition. In addition, the popularization of smart devices and the expansion of the information delivery and transmission media market make a demand for N-Screen in content service. Colleges and universities have installed and operated various types of DID to promote their schools and departments and deliver information about them, still remaining in the level of media content implementation. So, we implement and evaluate a next-generation electronic bulletin board for each department that allows for interactive N-Screen communication based on the integration of smart phone and internet. This board enhanced efficiency as supporting N-Screen, inserting and deleting the contents at real time and offering bidirectional communication.
