포장재가 의취청의 오이의 저장 중 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Packaging Films on Quality of 의Chuichung의 Cucumbers during Storage)

  • To investigate the effects of packaging films (functional MA films/FC30, FC50, MA film/0.03 mm LDPE, corrugated paperboard box/control) weight loss, firmness, total ascorbic acid, chlorophill and overall appearence were evaluated. Weight loss of cucumbers packed with FC30 and FC50 at 2$0^{\circ}C$ after 7 days were 1.0 and 0.6%, that of the control was 2.9%, those of LDPE was 0.5%. The firmness of FC30 and FC50 at 2 $0^{\circ}C$ after 7 days were 1.0 and 0.6%, that of the control was 2.9%, those of LDPE was 0.5%. The firmness of FC30-, FC50 and LD was higher than that of the control. Total ascorbic acid contents (TAA) of cucumbers packed with control, LD, FC30 and FC50 box were 9.96, 10.86, 11.37 and 11.29 mg% after 7 days. TAA of FC box was 10% higher than that of the control. Chlorophill content of FC boxes wase 16% higher than of the control. Overall appearence of cucumber packed with FC boxes was better than that of the control.

Physicochemical Characteristics and Fatty Acid Composition of the Meat from Korean Native Black Pig with Different Slaughter Weight

  • The Korean native black pig (KNP) have several desirable meat qualities, which are highly demanded by Koreans in spite of its slow growth rate, low feed efficiency, and small litter size. The aim of this study was to evaluate meat quality and fatty acid composition of KNP at different slaughter weight in order to provide information to industry. Ninety female KNP of the same age (220 days) were divided into three groups by live body weights (30 pigs per each group); live weight of 50$\sim$59 kg (T1), 60$\sim$69 kg (T2) and 70$\sim$80 kg (T3), respectively. After slaughtering the longissimus dorsi muscle (LD) and backfat from each group were obtained after 24 hr chilling. Crude protein content and shear force of LD from T3 was higher than that from T1 and pH of LD was significantly lower in that from T1 than from T2 and T3. Color measurement indicated that LD of T2 group had a higher $L^*$-value and lower $a^*$-value than those of T1 and T3. Slaughter weight of KNP generally did not affect the fatty acid composition of LD and backfat but the content of oleic acid (C18:1) of T2 in LD was significantly higher than those of T1 and T3. The results may provide basic information to industry to promote the production and processing of KNP, and assist in meeting the Korean consumer's demand.

유경 횡복직근피판술 후 발생한 부분 피판괴사 및 지방괴사의 넓은등근피판을 이용한 재건 치험례 (Case Report : Latissimus Dorsi Flap for Secondary Breast Reconstruction after Partial TRAM Flap Loss)

  • Purpose: The transverse rectus abdominis musculocutaneous(TRAM) flap is the most commonly used autogenous tissue flap for breast reconstruction. Postoperatively, partial flap loss or fat necrosis are relatively common and it may result in a smaller breast volume with marked contour irregularities. These defects are not easy to reconstruct with local tissue rearrangement or with breast implants. The current authors present the results of 2 patients who underwent Latissimus dorsi(LD) flap reconstruction to correct partial flap or fat necrosis that developed after TRAM flap breast reconstruction. Method: Case1: A 50 - year - old woman with left breast cancer visited for breast reconstruction after radical mastectomy. Initially, breast reconstruction with pedicled TRAM was performed. Postoperatively partial flap necrosis was developed. Secondary breast reconstruction using LD flap was done. Case2: A 51 - year - old woman with left breast cancer visited for breast reconstruction after radical mastectomy. Initially, breast reconstruction with pedicled TRAM was performed. Postoperatively fat necrosis was developed. Secondary breast reconstruction using LD flap was done. Results: Secondary breast reconstruction using LD flap survived completely and produce successful reconstruction. There was no significant complication in both patients. Conclusion: LD flap provides sufficient, vascularized skin and soft tissue. The flap can be molded easily to replace deficient tissue in all areas of the breast. These attributes make it an ideal candidate for salvage of the partially failed TRAM flap breast reconstructio.

보중익기합대칠기탕(補中益氣合大七氣湯) 추출물의 ICR마우스에서 경구 단회투여독성 평가 (Single Dose Toxicity Test of Bojungikkeehapdaechilkitang water extract in Male and Female ICR Mice)

  • An herbal water extract of Bojungikkeehapdaechilkitang(BDT) was prepared to test it for single-dose and repeated-dose toxicity, genotoxicity and reproductive toxicity, and to obtain a 50% lethal dose$(LD_{50})$, approximated lethal dose(ALD), and approximated target organs for BDT. The extract was tested on female and male ICR mice according to KFDA Guideline 1999-61 at doasge level of 2000, 1000, 500, 250 and 125mg/kg/10mL In this study, clinical signs, mortalities and gross findings of principal organs were observed for 14 days of single dosing, and afterwards in some cases. The ALD and $LD_{50}$ of BDT extract obtained in this study was>2000mg/kg for both male and female ICR mice. Also, any possible digestive toxicity of BDT extract was found to be above 1000mg/kg in both male and female ICR mice. The results of this study strongly suggest that BDT extract has no toxic effect at dosage level below 500mg/kg.

넙치, Paralichthys olivaceus의 비특이적 방어기작에 대한 Edwardsiella tarda 균의 반응 (Responses of Edwardsiella tarda to innate immunity of olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus)

  • This paper aims to compare difference with the in an ability of their resistance and survival against in a non-specific defence mechanism of the olive flounder, between the virulent and the avirulent E. tarda strains. The tested E. tarda strains, we divided into the virulent and the avirulent strain groups on the basis of a value of 50% lethal dose (LD50) for the olive flounder weighed 10.3 g in average. The strains of LD50 101.6~104.2 cfu/fish were grouped as virulent strains, such as KE-1, KE-3, KE-5 and FSW910410. The group of avirulent strains as LD50 exceeded 108.7 cfu/fish were included the strains, SU100 and AL92448. A test was conducted to understand the survival ability of each strain in the mucus of the skin and the intestine of olive flounders. The results showed KE-1, KE-3, KE-5 and FSW910410 were highly to survive between 6 hours and 24 hours in intestine. The survival ability in the bile of olive flounder the number of avirulent strains declined during incubation but the virulent strain showed the number of alive bacteria having sustained or increased. In the test for the survival of bacteria in fresh sera of olive flounder, the virulent strains also had tendency to multiply. Concerning the tested bacteria internalization into the head kidney macrophages and the intracellurar replication in the macrophages of olive flounder. The virulent strains exhibited strong internalization, followed high rate replication. According to the results, virulent strains of E. tarda revealed more ability to resist and survive in the face of humoral and cellular defence factors than avirulent strains.

  • 창포는 한국에 자생하는 수생식물로 약용뿐만 아니라 phytoremediation과 수질정화 식물로도 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 창포의 기내 식물체에 다양한 선량(20-500 Gy)의 감마선을 조사하여, 방사선의 효과 및 감수성을 확인하기 위해 2달후 생존율, 신초형성율 및 생장율을 측정하였다. 생존율과 신초형성율은 감마선 선량이 증가할수록 현저하게 감소하였다. 기내에서 저선량을 조사한 식물체의 생장율은 대조구에 비해 오히려 증가하였으나, 250 Gy 이상에서는 생장이 멈추거나 유의하게 감소하였으며, 반치사선량($LD_{50}$)은 240 Gy로 다른 식물종의 $LD_{50}$보다 훨씬 높은 선량이었다. 창포에서 저선량을 조사하였을 때 생장율이 증가하는 방사선호메시스(radiation hormesis) 효과를 확인하였다.

Community-acquired Legionnaires' Disease in a Newly Constructed Apartment Building

  • Objectives: Legionnaires' disease (LD) is a severe type of pneumonia caused by inhalation of aerosols contaminated with Legionella. On September 22, 2016, a single case of LD was reported from a newly built apartment building in Gyeonggi province. This article describes an epidemiologic investigation of LD and identification of the possible source of infection. Methods: To identify the source of LD, we interviewed the patient's husband using a questionnaire based on the Legionella management guidelines from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Water samples from the site were collected and analyzed. An epidemiological investigation of the residents and visitors in the apartment building was conducted for 14 days before the index patient's symptoms first appeared to 14 days after the implementation of environmental control measures. Results: Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 was isolated from the heated-water samples from the patient's residence and the basement of the apartment complex. Thirty-two suspected cases were reported from the apartment building during the surveillance period, yet all were confirmed negative based on urinary antigen tests. Conclusions: The likely source of infection was the building's potable water, particularly heated water. Further study of effective monitoring systems in heated potable water should be considered.

  • 많은 게임 앱이나 금융 앱들의 경우, 동적 역공학 공격을 방어하기 위해 에뮬레이터 탐지 기능을 탑재하고 있다. 그러나 기존 안드로이드 에뮬레이터 탐지 방법들은, 실제 기기와 유사해진 최신 모바일 게임용 에뮬레이터를 탐지하는데 한계가 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 Houdini 모듈과 라이브러리 문자열 기반으로 모바일 게임용 에뮬레이터를 효과적으로 탐지하는 기법을 제안한다. 구체적으로, bionic의 libc 라이브러리에 포함된 특정 문자열, Houdini 관련된 시스템 콜 수행과정 분석과 메모리 매핑을 통해, 잘 알려진 Nox와 LD Player 에뮬레이터를 탐지하는 기법을 제시한다.

식물추출물 마늘 추출액, 잔톡실럼 정유, 레몬그라스 정유 함유 유제 3종의 생태독성평가 (Acute Ecotoxicity Evaluation of 3 Emulsifiable Concentrates Containing Garlic Extract, Zanthoxylum Extract, and Lemon Grass Oil Originated from Plant)

  • 식물추출물 함유(마늘추출액, 잔톡실럼오일, 레몬그라스오일 30%) 유제의 물벼룩급성독성 결과 마늘추출액 함유 30% 유제의 $EC_{50}$$3.3mg\;L^{-1}$로 EPA 기준으로 보통독성정도이었고, 레몬그라스오일, 잔톡실럼(Zanthoxylum)오일 함유 30% 유제의 $EC_{50}$$10mg\;L^{-1}$ 이상으로 저독성이었다. 송사리급성독성 시험의 경우, 마늘추출액 함유 30% 유제의 $LC_{50}$ 값이 $3.0mg\;L^{-1}$으로 나타났으며 나머지 두 유제는 모두 $10mg\;L^{-1}$ 이상으로 확인되었다. 꿀벌급성독성시험은 접촉과 섭식 시험으로 나누어서 실시하였고, 접촉독성의 경우 모두 100 a.i ${\mu}g\;bee^{-1}$ 이상으로 확인되었다. 섭식독성의 경우 마늘추출액 함유 30% 유제의 $LD_{50}$ 값이 44.3 a.i ${\mu}g\;bee^{-1}$ 이었으며 잔톡실럼(Zanthoxylum)오일과 레몬그라스오일 함유 30% 유제의 경우 $LD_{50}$ 값이 100 a.i ${\mu}g\;bee^{-1}$ 이상으로 나타나 독성이 낮은 것으로 판단되었다. 지렁이급성독성시험의 경우, 마늘추출액, 잔톡실럼(Zanthoxylum)오일, 레몬그라스오일 함유 30% 유제의 $LC_{50}$ 값이 각각 267, 592, $430mg\;kg^{-1}$ 로 나타났는데 이는 제품살포물량을 확정한 뒤 환경추정농도를 이용한 위해성평가를 통해 안전성을 확보한다면 친환경 농자재로서 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단하였다.

  • 저분자 alginate인 HAG-10, HAG-50, HAG-100 및 alginate를 랫드에 35일간 섭취시켰을 때, 혈청중의 지질성분과 동맥경화지수의 측정으로 특성이 가장 좋은 저분자 alginate인 HAG-50의 안전성을 확보하기 위해 랫드에 경구급성독성실험을 실시하였다. 혈청중 total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglycerides 및 phospholipid 함량과 동맥경화지수는$5\%$$10\%$HAG-50에서 모두 유의적으로 뚜렷히 감소하여 지질대사 개선효과를 나타내었다. HAG-50의 경구급성독성실험을 검토한 결과, 투여할 수 있는 최고 용량인 랫드 체중 kg당 5.0g의 용량에서도 암$\cdot$수 모두 일반상태의 이상 반응과 폐사 및 병리$\cdot$조직학적 이상을 나타내는 예는 전혀 관찰되지 않아서 $LD_{50}$치의 산출이 불가능하였으므로 HAG-50은 아주 안전한 제재임이 검증되었다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 평균분자량 50,000 정도의 저분자 alginate인 HAG-50이 가장 우수한 지질대사 개선효과의 기능적 특성을 발휘하였으며, 경구급성독성실험 에서도 독성이 전혀 없었고, alginate가 가지고 있는 고유의 생리적 기능을 유지 향상시키면서 이용에 제한이 되고 있는 점성을 줄이고 용해도를 높혀서 alginate의 이용성을 높일 수 있는 새로운 형태의 식품소재라고 사료된다.
