This paper proposes the circuit of the simple synthetic testing facility using LC resonance circuit. EMTP has been used to analyze the circuit. The obtained results indicate that the simple synthetic testing facility using LC resonance circuit can be easily designed and used very usefully for the research and development for the switchgears.
Hoxc, or the Homeobox C cluster, is a group of genes that play a crucial role in embryonic development, particularly in patterning the body along the anterior-posterior axis. These genes encode transcription factors, which are proteins that bind to DNA and regulate the expression of other genes. Hoxc9 is specifically involved in the development of the skeletal system, nervous system, and adipose tissue. Hoxc9 overexpression has been linked to the development of various cancers such as leukemia and breast cancer. Here, we assigned the chemical shifts Hoxc9 DNA binding domain (DBD) using heteronuclear NMR techniques. The helical regions of Hoxc9 DBD correspond to the residues T200 - F213 (Helix I), T218 - L229 (Helix II), and T232 - K249 (Helix III). Our result would be helpful for studing the molecular interactions of the Hoxc9 DBD and other proteins.

In the paper, reactorless high efficiency boost DC/DC converter for EV is proposed. In proposed converter, improves efficiency because decrease power loss when the switches are turned on/off using zero current switching (ZCS) at all switch of primary full bridge. By replacing reactance ingredients of L-C resonance circuit for ZCS with leakage inductance ingredients of high frequency transformer, it reduces system size and expense because of not add special reactor. For validity verification of proposed converter, in the paper implements simulation using PSIM and perform experiment by making 5KW DC/DC converter. In experimental results, efficiency of proposed converter conformed superiority.
Wind-induced fluctuating internal pressures in a building with a dominant opening can be described by a second-order non-linear differential equation. However, the accuracy and efficiency of the governing equation in predicting internal pressure fluctuations depend upon two ill-defined parameters: inertial coefficient $C_I$ and loss coefficient $C_L$, since $C_I$ determines the un-damped oscillation frequency of an air slug at the opening, while $C_L$ controls the decay ratio of the fluctuating internal pressure. This study particularly focused on the value of loss coefficient and its influence factors including: opening configuration and location, internal volumes, as well as wind speed and approaching flow turbulence. A simplified formula was presented to predict loss coefficient, therefore an approximate relationship between the standard deviation of internal and external pressures can be estimated using Vickery's approach. The study shows that the loss coefficient governs the peak response of the internal pressure spectrum which, in turn, will directly influence the standard deviation of the fluctuating internal pressure. The approaching flow characteristic and opening location have a remarkable effect on the parameter $C_L$.

Humic substances(HS) from raw and process waters at a conventional water treatment plant were isolated and extracted by physicochemical fractionation methods to investigate their characteristics. They are characterized for their functionality, chemical composition, and spectroscopic characteristics using FT-IR(Fourier transform infrared) and $^1H-NMR$(proton nuclear magnetic resonance) spectroscopy. Humic fraction gradually decreased from 47.2% to 26.4%(from 0.97 to 0.54 mgC/L) through conventional water treatment processes. Concentration of phenolic groups in the HS fraction gradually decreased from 60.5% to 21.8%(from 12.2 to $6.0\;{\mu}M/L$ as phenolic-OH) through water treatment. In the case of carboxylic groups, the concentration increased from 39.5% to 46.9%(from 7.9 to $10.6\;{\mu}M/L$ as COOH) by pre-chlorination, but gradually decreased to 34.2%($9.4\;{\mu}M/L$ as COOH) through sedimentation and sand filtration. From the results of the FT-IR and $^1H-NMR$ spectra of HS, the content of carboxylic groups increased and ratio of aliphatic protons to aromatic protons($P_{Al}/P_{Ar}$) also increased through water treatment, which indicated the increase of aliphatic compounds.
Metamaterials composed of split cut wire (SCW) on grounded polyimide film substrate have been investigated for the aim of electromagnetic wave absorbers operated in THz frequency band. Reflection loss and current density distributions are numerically simulated with variations of the SCW geometries using the commercial software. The minimum reflection loss lower than -20 dB has been identified at 5.5~6.5 THz. The simulated resonance frequency and reflection loss can be explained on the basis of the circuit theory of an inductance-capacitance (L-C) resonator. Dual-band absorption can be obtained by arrangement of two SCWs of different length on the top layer of the grounded substrate, which is due to multiple magnetic resonances by scaling of SCWs. With increasing the side spacing between SCWs, a more enhanced absorption peak is observed at the first resonance frequency that is shifted to a lower frequency.
New antitumor-active pt(II) complexes of trans-l-diamine cyclohexane containing diphosphines as a leaving group were synthesized. The structures of the pt(II) complexes were determined by analyzing the infrared and $^{31}P-nuclear$ magnetic resonance spectra. Antitumor activities of the pt(II) complexes were tested against murine leukemia $L_{l210}$ according to the protocol of the National Cancer Institute. All the pt(II) complexes Synthesized were antitumor-active. In particular, water-soluble $[pt(trans-l-dach) (DPPP)](NO_3)_2$ exhibited excellent antitumor activity, giving T/C % values of 341 and 356 respectively, each with four cured mice out of six at a dose of 25 mg/kg. These pt(II) complexes are considered to be worthy of further development.
Purpose : A method to estimate a real k-space trajectory based on a circuit model of the gradient system is proposed for spiral imaging. The estimated k-space trajectory instead of the ideal trajectory is used in the reconstruction to improve the image quality in the spiral imaging. Materials and Methods : Since the gradient system has self resistance, capacitance, and inductance, as well as the mutual inductance between the magnet and the gradient coils, the generated gradient fields have delays and transient responses compared to the input waveform to the gradient system. The real gradient fields and their trajectory in k-space play an important role in the reconstruction. In this paper, the gradient system is modeled with R-L-C circuits, and real gradient fields are estimated from the input to the model. An experimental method to determine the model parameters (R, L, C values) is also suggested from the quality of the reconstructed image. Results : The gradient fields are estimated from the circuit model of the gradient system at 1.5 Tesla MRI system. The spiral trajectory obtained by the integration of the estimated gradient fields is used for the reconstruction. From experiments, the reconstructed images using the estimated trajectory show improved uniformity, reduced overshoots near the edges, and enhanced resolutions compared to those using the ideal trajectory without model. Conclusion : The gradient system was successfully modeled by the R-L-C circuits. Much improved reconstruction was achieved in the spiral imaging using the trajectory estimated by the proposed model.

By introducing a compressive-strained quanternary InGaAsP quantum-wells instead of a conventional ternary InGaAs quantum-wells in 1.55.mu.m DFB-LD, the lasing performances canb e improved and the problems caused by the thickness non-uniformity and the compositional abruptness among the hetero-interpaces canb e relaxed. In this paper, we investigated an iptimum InGaAsP/InGaAsP multiple-quantum-well(MQW) structure as an active layer in a direct-modulated 1.55.mu. DFB-LD from the view point of threshold current, chirping charcteristics, and resonance frequency. The optimum compressive-strained MQW structure was revealed as InGaAsP/InGaAsP structure with strain amount of about 1.2%, number of wells $N_{w}$ of 7, well width $L_{w}$ of 58.agns.. The threshold current density J of 500A/c $m^{2}$, the linewidth enhancement factor a of 1.8, and differential resonance frequency of d $f_{r}$/d(I-I)$^{1}$2/=2GHz/(mA)$^{1}$2/(atI=2 $I_{th}$) were expected in 1.55.mu.m .gamma./4-shifted DFB-LD with the cavity length of 400.mu.m long and kL value of 1.25. These values are considerably improved ones compared to those of 1.55um DFB-LD with InGaAs/InGaAsP MQW which have enhancement factor and the resonance frequence frequency by the detuning of lasing wavelength and gain-peak wavelength. It was found that the linewidth enhancement factor of 20% and differential resonance frequency of 35% without the degradation of the threshold current density could be enhanced in the range of -15nm~-20nm detuning which can be realized by controlling the thickness and Incomposition of InGaAsP well. well.and Incomposition of InGaAsP well. well.
A new cyclic peptide (six-membered amino acid), gamakamide-E (L-Leu-L-Met (SO)-L-Me-Phe-L-Leu-D-Lys-L-Phe), was isolated as a strongly bitter tasting compound from cultured oysters, Crassostrea gigas. The molecular formula of $C_{43}H_{61}N_7O_8S$ was deduced from high resolution fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry (HR FAB-MS) ($[M+H]^+$ m/z 836.4356 ${\Delta}$= -2.4 mmu). Its unique structure including a hydantoin structure was firstly elucidated by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis. Stereochemistries of constituent amino acids were determined by chiral high performanced liquid chromatography analysis of natural and synthesized peptides.
