Structural tests were performed to investigate the structural performance of concrete-filled steel tube column using different strength steels in their flange and web with high-strength steel HSA800 and mild steel SM490, respectively. The test parameters included the strength of column flange and infill concrete, and effect of concrete infill. Connection between different grade steels were welded using the electrode appropriate for mild steel and verified its performance. To evaluate the behavior of test specimens, eccentric loading tests were performed and the results were compared with the prediction by current design codes. Axial load and moment carrying capacity of test specimens increased with the yield strength of compression flange and weld fracture occurred after the specimen shows full strength. The prediction result for axial load-bending moment relationship and effective flexural stiffness gave good agreement with the test result.

Background and Objectives : Although the incidence of allergic rhinitis has increased specific therapeutics with a certain medicine is not well developed yet. In therapeutics of allergic rhinitis, limited medicines just have been used in the clinin. Sochungyong-tang has been a widespread medicine for allergic rhinitis. However, okbyeongpung-san has been taken for raising immunity. In medical treatment of allergic rhinitis, raising immunity is a necessary part of the process. In this reason, this study aimed to find out therapeutic effects of combination of sochungyoung-tang and okbyeongpung-san extract on allergic rhinintis of nasal tissue in rats. Materials and Methods : The Sprague-Dawley male rats, about 200g of body weight, were divided into three groups: the normal group, the control groups, and the sample groups. With the Levine and Vaz method, the allergic reaction was induced with ovalbumin as antigen in the intraperitoneal route. Rats of the sample groups were treated with 2cc of sochungyoung-tang plus okbyeongpung-san extract once a day for 28days. I observed historical changes in nasal tissue. I also found changes in the segment of lympocyte and neutrophil of Leukocyte and erythrocyte. I used the statistical methods of post Hoc test(p<0.05) Results : The increase of the goblet cell and mucous secretion in the sample groups was rare when compared to the control groups. Effects of sochungyoung-tang plus okbyeongpung-san extract on the liver function were also studied in rats. Treatment of sochungyoung-tang plus okbyeongpung-san extract did not affect GOT and GPT. The number of lymphocyte was decreased, while the number of erythrocyte was increased in sample groups. Conclusion : This study shows that sochungyoung-tang plus okbyeongpung-san plus okbyeongpung-san extract has considerable effects on allergic rhinitis.

A float-type weir has been proposed for the control of algal blooms in some of eutrophic reservoirs recently. It is known as a costly and ecologically sound method, but there is little understanding about the sustainability of this low-cost technology for reservoirs that are located in monsoon climate areas where large flood events during the summer cause high water surface fluctuations. The objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of a skimmer weir aimed at controlling algal blooms in the lacustrine zone and near the drinking water withdrawal structures of Daecheong Reservoir under various hydrodynamic flow conditions. The effect of weir on the control of algal blooms was simulated using a laterally averaged two-dimensional hydrodynamic and eutrophication model that can accommodate vertical displacement of the weir following the water surface fluctuations. Numerical simulations were performed for two different hydrological conditions, 2001 and 2004 for representing drought year and normal year, respectively. The results showed that the weir is very effective method to control algal blooms in the reservoir by curtailing the transport of phosphorus and algae from contaminated inflow to the downstream lacustrine epilimnion during the draught year. However, large flood events occurred in 2004 transported nutrients and algae built upstream of the weir into the downstream euphotic zone by strong entrainments.

Purpose of this study was to reveal the relationship between Cultural physical Education's Enjoyment Factor and Happiness, social physique anxiety via structural equation model. For the research object of this study 380 students, taking a cultural physical education class in Kyungki-Incheon district, have been selected. Statistics processing was carried out through PASW 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The following results were obtained by analysis of frequency, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, structural equation model analysis to serve it's purpose. First, perceived enjoyment factor of cultural physical education student had positive(+) correlation with happiness. Sencond, perceived happiness of cultural physical education student had negative(-) correlation with social physique anxiety. Third, cultural physical education student's happiness has mediating effects as a buffer between class enjoyment factor and social physique anxiety.

In this paper, E-TDLNN(Expanded-Tapped Delay Line Neural Network) method is suggested to make the model of power amplifier effectively. This method is the one for making the model of power amplifier through the study in neural network to the target value, the measured output spectrum of power amplifier, after adding the external value factor, gate bias, as an invariant input to the TDLNN method which suggested the memory effect of power amplifier effectively. To prove the validity of suggested method, the data at 2 points, 3.45 V and 3.50 V of gate bias range $3.4{\sim}3.6V$ with the 0.01 V step change, are studied and the predicted results at the gate bias 3.40 V, 3.48 V, 3.53 V and 3.60 V shows good coincidence with the measured values.

WouldYouLike[우주라이크]는 2009년 천문학 전공 대학생들을 중심으로 탄생한 천문우주과학 대중화를 위해 활동하는 비영리 단체이다. 천문우주과학에 대한 정보를 얻기 힘든 사람들을 위해 쉽게 접할 수 있는 콘텐츠를 제작하여 이를 무료로 배포하고 있다. 2012년 무료 배포용 천문학 잡지 우주라이크 창간호를 시작으로 2017년 현재 11호까지 발간되었으며, 이 잡지는 전국 각지의 대학교 캠퍼스와 천문대 및 과학관의 협조를 통해 배포 중이다. 이러한 오프라인 활동과 더불어 SNS(인스타그램, 페이스북)와 홈페이지를 비롯해 현대인들에게 접근성이 높은 온라인 매체를 적극적으로 활용한 천문학 콘텐츠와 팟캐스트 등을 통해 대중에게 다가가고 있다. 특히 우주라이크 페이스북 페이지의 팔로워 수는 약 35,000명이며, 이는 한국천문연구원 페이스북 페이지의 약 6,000명보다 많은 수치이다. 이는 우주라이크 본연의 목적인 천문학 대중화에 우주라이크가 크게 기여하고 있음을 보여준다. 현재 우주라이크는 상기에 기술한 활동들과 함께 NASA에서 운영하는 APOD (Astronomy Picture of the Day)의 한글판 서비스를 공식적으로 번역하여 제공하고 있다. 이 포스터는 국내에서 천문우주과학 대중화의 필요성을 역설하며, 이와 연계해서 우주라이크의 활동 내역과 현재 추진 중인 계획을 소개한다. 그리고 이에 대한 국내 천문학계의 다양한 목소리를 듣고 추후 활동에 반영하고자 한다.

The interaction network of protein -protein plays an important role to understand the various biological functions of cells. Currently, the high -throughput experimental techniques (two -dimensional gel electrophoresis, mass spectroscopy, yeast two -hybrid assay) provide us with the vast amount of data for protein-protein interaction at the proteome scale. In order to recognize the role of each protein in their network, the efficient bioinformatical and computational analysis methods are required. We propose a systematic and mathematical method which can analyze the protein -protein interaction network rigorously and enable us to capture the biological and physical essence of a topological character and stability of protein -protein network, and sensitivity of each protein along the biological pathway of their network. We set up a Laplacian matrix of spectral graph theory based on the protein-protein network of yeast proteome, and perform an eigenvalue analysis and apply a perturbation method on a Laplacian matrix, which result in recognizing the center of protein cluster, the identity of hub proteins around it and their relative sensitivities. Identifying the topology of protein -protein network via a Laplacian matrix, we can recognize the important relation between the biological pathway of yeast proteome and the formalism of master equation. The results of our systematic and mathematical analysis agree well with the experimental findings of yeast proteome. The biological function and meaning of each protein cluster can be explained easily. Our rigorous analysis method is robust for understanding various kinds of networks whether they are biological, social, economical...etc

This paper presents an implementation of a communication network in wind turbines, which exploits the power-line communication system (PLC). We used an inductive coupling unit and a multi-interface device to connect a data-communication terminal to the power line, to ensure that stable communication was possible at various electric current and voltage values of the generator. The results of the operation tests conducted on an operational wind turbine showed that the implemented PLC demonstrated a transmission rate of at least 43 Mbps with a 100% success rate. Moreover, a real-time image was transmitted. Thus, the system could be a useful alternative for implementing a communication network in wind turbines that does not require additional channels. Since the presented system is easy to implement, and can support various interfaces for data communication, it will be quite useful when a real-time monitoring system is launched in wind turbines.

The purpose of this paper is to develop a simple system to measure dose distribution in small fields of NEC LINAC 6 MVX using film and solid water instead of ion chamber and water phantom. Specific quantities measured include percent depth dose (PDD), off-axis ratio (OAR). We produced square fields of 1 to 3cm in perimeter in 1cm steps measured at SAD of 80cm. The PDD and OAR measured by film was compared with measurement made with ion chamber. We calculated the TMR from the basic PDD data using the conversion formula. The trends of our measured beam data and philips LINAC are similar each other. The measurement for the small field using film and solid water was simple. Hand-made film phantom was especially useful to measure OARs for the stereotactic radiosurgery.

Objectives: This study was designed to investigate acupuncture treatment of alopecia patients by researching literature and to standardize acupuncture treatment. Methods: We extracted the parts about acupuncture treatment of alopecia which are called 'Tal Bal(說髮), 'Ban Dok'(斑禿), 'Tal Mo'(脫毛), 'Bal Rak'(髮洛), 'Wonhyung Talmo'(圓形脫老) from 2 ancient and 49 modern oriental medicine literal sources. We surveyed the frequency and characteristics of the acupoints used for treatment of alopecia, and the acupoint was classified according to its meridian or demonstration. The results of this study were recorded as follows: 1. The most frequently used acupoints were GB20(風紙), GV20(百會), BL13(膈兪), SP6(三陰交), ST36(足三里), BL23(腎兪), SP10(血海), LI11(曲池), in that order. 2. The most frequently used meridians were the urinary bladder meridian (足太湯膀胱經), the Governor Vessel(督豚), the spleen meridian(足少陰脾經), and the gall bladder meridian(足少陰膽經), in that order 3. The most frequently used regions were the head, under the knee, and the back, in that order. 4. The most frequently used Jang organs and Bu organs were the spleen(脾), the stomach(胃), the liver(肝), the gall bladder(擔), the lungs(肺), and the large intestines(大腸), in that order. 5. Common methods of differentiation of alopecia are Hyulyulsaengpung(血熱生風), Gichehyutea(氣滯血瘀), Gihyulyanghea(氣血兩瘀), and Gansinbugok(肝腎不足). Conclusions : For treatment of alopecia, all the patient's symptoms, including alopecia, must taken into consideration and demonstrated.
