A study on the radiation exposure of simple abdomen Radiation in Radiography (복부 단순 방사선 검사 시 피폭선량에 대한 연구)

  • This study was performed to measure about exposure dose during simple abdmon radiation radiography. The exposure dose was measured by PDD, surface dose, respectively. The result was as followed: 1. When tube voltage were increased with 60-85kv, surface dose were increased. When FFD(focus film distance) at the 50-150cm and mAs were increased, surface dose were decreased. 2. The percentage depth dose(PDD) were appeared 50% below depth dose at 4cm with 60-75kv, and 6cm depth with 80-85kv, 5% below depth dose at 12cm with 60kv, and depth with 65-85kv. 3. The percentage forward scatter increased from 10% to 11.78% at the 60-85kv. The back scatter dose were increase from 25% to 37% at the 60-85kv. The side scatter dose were affected to heel effect.

  • Author made a experiment on the exposure dose with various intensifying screens in taking chest roentgenogram and obtained the results as follows; 1. Special speed type was the most sensitive intensifying screen, the r(gamma) value of this screen was distributed from 2.6 to 2.9. 2. The resolution activity of intensifying screen was inversely proportional to its sensitivity. If, the sensitivity and detail of the fine detail speed type intensifying screen at 100 KV were 100, those of the special speed type were 549 and 54.44 respectively. 3. If the exposure dose of the fine detail type intensifying screen was 1.0 at 60 KV, that of the special speed type intensifying screen was 0.1 at 80KV, and the skin dose of patient was as follows; it was 64.8 mRad at 60KV in mid speed type, 8.1 mRad at 80KV in super high speed type, and 7.2 mRad at 80KV in special speed type intensifying screen respectively.

Effect of Electric Purse Conditions on the Fusion and Development Embryos Produced by Ear Cell Nuclear Transfer in Brindle Coated Hanwoo (Korean Cattle) (칡소의 귀세포를 이용한 핵이식에서 전기융합조건이 융합 및 배발달에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of embryo development by fusion condition on the nuclear transfer with brindle coated cow's ear cells. Ear cells were transferred into an enucleated oocyte and fused with cytoplasm in the fusion condition with 1.9kv/cm, 2.0kv/cm, 2.1kv/cm each 10 and 20ug duration Nuclear transfer embryo were activeted with a combination of 5ug/ml and 1.9mM 6-DMAP (4min, 4h). Fusion rate was 51∼68% range among fusion condition (1.9, 2.0, 2.1kv/cm; 10, 20us). But, cytoplasm lysis rate was increased by higher electric condition (0∼51.8% range). Each parameter's cleavage and blastocyst formation rate were 1.9kv/cm for 10us (75.8 and 19.5%), 20us (69.8 and 48.6%), 2.0kv/cm for 10us (76.9 and 20.0%), 20 us (68.5 and 40.9%), 2.1kv/cm for 10us (70.5 and 44.2%), 20 us (68.5 and 27.0%). We compared the effectiveness of cloning for between brindle coated cow's ear cells and Hanwoo fetal fibroblast cells. There was no significant differences in the fusion rate and developmental rate to the blastocyst stage. After transfer of blastocysts derived from nuclear transfer embryos, pregnancy rates of the Hanwoo fetal fibroblast cells and brindle coated cow's ear cells were checked pregnant on day 60 as assessed by ultrasonography, 40% (2/5) and 15.8% (3/19), respectively. This studies conclude that brindle coated cow's ear cells have the developmental potentiality to term by nuclear transfer. These results demonstrate that the increased the field strength was to be profitable for development of blastocyst or reduce of cytoplasm's damage than increasing the pulse duration.

Vitamin C Promoted Liver Regeneration Following Partial Hepatectomy-induced Hepatic Injury in Senescence Marker Protein-30-deficient Mice (비타민 C 투여는 간 부분절제술에 의한 간 재생을 촉진 시킴)

  • The capacity for liver regeneration involves a variety of nutritional factors. Vitamin C has multiple metabolic and antioxidant functions. In this study, we investigated the role of vitamin C in liver regeneration following hepatectomy in senescence marker protein (SMP)-30 knockout (KO) mice. Partial hepatectomy was performed by resecting the median and left lateral lobes of mice. Vitamin C accelerated liver recovery in SMP30 KO mice treated with vitamin C (KV). The livers of the KV mice exhibited lower levels of aspartate aminotransferase and lower injury than those of the KO mice. Increased type II transforming growth factor-β receptor (TGF-βRII)-mediated regeneration signaling was accompanied by HGF and cMet in the KV but not the KO mice. Consistent with this, the expression of cell cycle regulatory proteins, including cyclin D1 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), increased rapidly in the KV mice. Enhanced activation of ERK and GSK-3β proteins and a significantly increased number of binuclear hepatocytes were also detected in the livers of the KV mice. Moreover, the KV mice synthesized the highest levels of albumin. These data suggest that treating SMP30 knockout mice with vitamin C resulted in earlier recovery and liver regeneration by activation of the regeneration system.

  • 전기설비의 경우 설비의 중요성등을 고려하여 수전 LINE과 같이 중요한 설비들은 이중화를 통화여 1 LINE이 고장이 생겨도 잔여회선 또는 잔여 변압기로 무정전으로 전원공급을 할 수 있어야 한다. 그러나, 광양제철소 154KV 전력계통은 고장전류 때문에 345/154KV 주변압기 3대를 분리하여 #1 TR은 S변전소(1계열), #2 TR은 R,J,H,A 변전소(2계열), #3 TR은 D, P 변전소(3계열)의 전력공급을 담당하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 1,2,3계열 분리운전 방안에 대하여 고장전류계산 및 전력 조류계산을 통하여 전력계통구성을 검토하고 개선방안으로써 1,2계열병렬운전, 2,3계열 병렬운전, 1,3계열 병렬운전에 대하여 고장전류 및 전력조류를 수행하여 고장전류 저감방안, 발전기 이설, 부하이설등의 검토를 통하여 병렬운전 가능한 방안을 찾고 궁극적으로 계통안정도에 문제가 없는 범위에서 최적의 개선방안을 찾고자 한다.

Effect of Genistein, a Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor, on the Cloned Rat Brain Potassium Channel Kv1.5

  • The effect of genistein, widely used as a specific tyrosine kinase inhibitor, on rat brain Kv1.5 channels which were stably expressed in Chinese hamster ovary cells was investigated using the whole-cell patch-clamp technique. Genistein inhibited Kv1.5 currents at +50 mV in a concentration-dependent manner, with an $IC_{50}$ of $54.7{\pm}8.2\;{\mu}M$ and a Hill coefficient of $1.1{\pm}0.2$. Pretreatment of Kv1.5 with protein tyrosine kinase inhibitors ($10\;{\mu}M$ lavendustin A and $100\;{\mu}M$ AG1296) and a tyrosine phosphatase inhibitor ($500\;{\mu}M$ sodium orthovanadate) did not block the inhibitory effect of genistein. The inhibition of Kv1.5 by genistein showed voltage-independence over the full activation voltage range positive to 0 mV. The activation (at +50 mV) kinetics was significantly delayed by genistein: time constant for an activation of $1.4{\pm}0.2$ msec under control conditions and $10.0{\pm}1.5$ msec in the presence of $60\;{\mu}M$ genistein. Genistein also slowed the deactivation of the tail currents, resulting in a crossover phenomenon: a time constant of $11.4{\pm}1.3$ msec and $40.0{\pm}4.2$ msec under control conditions and in the presence of $60\;{\mu}M$ genistein, respectively. Inhibition was reversed by the application of repetitive depolarizing pulses, especially during the early part of the activating pulse. These results suggest that genistein directly inhibits Kv1.5 channels, independent of phosphotyrosine-signaling pathway.

고전압 배전의 경제성

  • 현재 한전 계통내의 일차 배전전압은 3.3KV .DELTA.로 되어있고 일부분의 지역에서 5.7KV Y 또는 6.6KV .DELTA.로 승압되고 있는 실정이다. 그런데 한전 계통의 최근에 있어서의 수요의 성장율은 년 20%선을 넘고 있고 앞으로도 당분간 15-20%의 성장율이 지속될 것으로 예상되고 있다. 이와같이 급격히 성장하는 부하에 고도의 Service신속도를 유지하면서 그리고 동시에 저렴한 투자와 운전경비로서 응할수 있는 방식은 일차 배전전압을 승압하는 것이다. 여기서 논하고저 하는것은 어떤 전압으로 승압하는것이 온당할 것이냐라는 경제적 검토이다.

Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Magnetic Properties of $RbV_2SeO_7$ as Compared with $KV_2SeO_7$

  • Crystalline compound RbV2SeO7, a Rb analogue of KV2SeO7, was synthesized from a hydrothermal reaction of V2O5, V2O3, SeO2, and Rb2CO3 in the mole ratio 3: 1: 15: 6 (in millimoles) at 230℃. RbV2SeO7 crystallizes in an orthorhombic space group Pnma (No. 62) with a=18.444(8), b=5.415(3), c=7.070(4) Å, Z=8. The two structures of KV2SeO7 and RbV2SeO7 are almost the same except that bond lengths in the latter are slightly longer than in the former. The magnetic susceptibility measurement for RbV2SeO7 in the temperature range 4-300 K showed an antiferromagnetic ordering with TN=45 K, higher than that for KV2SeO7 of 27 K. The origin of the magnetic coupling and the different ordering temperatures in the two phases are discussed in relation to the crystal structures.
