스판덱스 혼합 면 편성물과 면 편성물의 세탁에 따른 변형 비교 (The Deformation of Knitted Cotton Fabrics with/without Spandex During Laundering)

  • This study evaluate the effect of laundering on the deformation of knitted spandex/cotton fabrics compared with that of knitted cotton fabrics. Commercial knitted spandex/cotton and knitted cotton fabrics for T-shits were laundered in a drum-type washing machine and dried in a tumble dryer. Wale spirality, shrinkage, elastic recovery and surface contour of knitted fabrics were investigated under different laundering conditions: washing temperature, presoaking time and washing cycles. Knitted spandex/cotton fabrics had a lower angle of spirality than knitted cotton fabrics. After the first washing cycle, the angles of spirality of all the fabrics had decreased greatly. Knitted cotton fabric of low density deformed more than that of higher density. Knitted spandex/cotton. fabric of low density shrank less, because of the greater extension given during heat-set. Permanent elongation length at the 80$\%$ extension was longer than at the 50$\%$ extension, and the knitted spandex/cotton fabric which was expanded greatly during heat-set had a lower elastic recovery rate. The surface appearance of the knitted spandex/cotton fabrics was worsl~ than that of the knitted cotton fabrics before laundering and after repeated laundering, because of the much protruded cotton fibers from the yarns.

Effects of Rutaecarpine on the Pharmacokinetics of Caffeine and Its Three Metabolites in Rats

  • Rutaecarpine, an alkaloid originally isolated from the unripe fruit of Evodia rutaecarpa, has been shown to be anti-inflammatory. In the present study, a possible interaction between rutaecarpine and caffeine was investigated in male Sprague Dawley rats. Twenty four hr after the oral pretreatment with rutaecarpine at 80 mg/kg for three consecutive days, rats were treated intravenously with 10 mg/kg of caffeine. Compared with control rats, the pharmacokinetic parameters of caffeine in rutaecarpine-pretreated rats were significantly changed, possibly due to the rapid metabolism. The production of three metabolites of caffeine (i.e., paraxanthine, theobromine and theophylline) was also significantly changed in rats pretreated with rutaecarpine. The present results suggest that oral rutaecarpine would change the intravenous pharmacokinetic characteristics of caffeine.

아세클로페낙과 그 대사체의 약물동태 연구 및 생물학적 동등성 (Pharmacokinetic Study of Aceclofenac and its Metabolites, and Application to Bioequivalence Study)

  • Aceclofenac, a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agent of a phenylacetic acid type, has been used for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthrits. Although the metabolic pathway of aceclofenc is relatively well-known in vitro, pharmacokinetic profiles of its three major or metabolites are still unclear in human. The present study was designed to investigate pharmacokinetic profiles of the metabolites of aceclofenac, and to evaluate the bioequivalence of the generic preparation of aceclofenac 100 mg tablet. Blood samples were serially collected for a period of 12 hours following a single oral administration of 100 mg aceclofenac in 20 healthy human volunteers. A simple protein precipitation with acetonitrile was employed to purify those substances from plasma. Aceclofenac, diclofenac, 4'-hydroxyaceclofenac and 4'-hydroxy-diclofenac in heparinized plasma were simultaneously measured with flufenamic acid, an internal standard, using HPLC coupled to a tandem mass spectrometer. Time courses of 4'-hydroxydiclofenac, diclofenac and aceclofenac plasma concentrations were clearly revealed, and the pharmacokinetic properties were analyzed. The 90% confidence intervals for the ratios of test/reference for log-transformed AUC and $C_{max}$ lie within 0.80-1.25.

납축전지의 심방전용 극판에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Plate for Deep Discharge in Lead Acid Battery)

  • Positive plate was composed of lead hydroxide via reaction between lead oxide and $H_2O$ and lead sulfate was formed of the reaction of lead hydroxide with sulfuric acid. And its density is $3.8g/cm^3$, $4.0g/cm^3$, $4.2g/cm^3$ and $4.4g/cm^3$ by controlling volume of refined water. Curing of positive plate is done for low ($45^{\circ}C$, 40hr, over 95% of relative humidity) & high ($80^{\circ}C$, 40hr, over 95% of relative humidity) temperature, which created 3BS & 4BS active materials. Experimental result of DOD with 100% life cycle test shows that it was not related to the density of active materials but to the low & high temperature aging of active materials. The test makes us to understand that the crystallization which is made by curing of active materials is a more of a main factor than density of active materials under the deep cycle using circumstances. The active materials which were from the high temperature curing are better for deep cycle performance.

산전 진찰에서 발견된 흉막액을 동반한 폐격리증 1례 (A Case of Pulmonary Sequestration with Pleural Effusion)

  • 선천성 흉막액을 동반한 외엽형 폐격리증은 매우 드문 선천성 폐기형으로 아직까지 국내에서의 보고는 없다. 저자들은 재태 기간 27주에 시행한 산전 초음파상 좌측 흉막액이 발견되었고, 출생 후 시행한 흉부 전산화 단층 촬영 및 전산화 단층 혈관 촬영술상 선천성 흉막액을 동반한 외엽형 폐격리증으로 진단하였으며, 생후 80일경 수술 후 특별한 문제없이 퇴원하여 현재 외래 추적 관찰 중인 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Monitoring on Extraction Yields and Functional Properties of Brassica oleracea var. capita Extracts

  • Extraction characteristics of Bonus species of Brassica oleracea var. capita and functional properties of corresponding extract were monitored by response surface methodology (RSM). Maximum extraction yield of 44.07% was obtained at ratio of solvent to sample of 27.94 mL/g, ethanol concentration of 24.35%, and extraction temperature of $55.21^{\circ}C$. At ratio of solvent to sample, ethanol concentration, and extraction temperature of 21.11 mL/g, 58.53%, and $68.83^{\circ}C$, respectively, maximum electron-donating ability was 48.44%. Maximum inhibitory effect on tyrosinase was 68.94% at ratio of solvent to sample, ethanol concentration, and extraction temperature of 24.08 mL/g, 10.49%, and $78.71^{\circ}C$, respectively. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) showed maximum pseudo-activity of 24.78% at ratio of solvent to sample of 22.66 mL/g, ethanol concentration of 45.69%, and extraction temperature of $93.81^{\circ}C$. Based on superimposition of four-dimensional RSM with respect to extraction yield, electron-donating ability, and pseudo-activity of SOD, optimum ranges of extraction conditions were ratio of solvent to sample of 20-30 mL/g, ethanol concentration of 35-65%, and extraction temperature of $50-80^{\circ}C$.

무지개송어 성어에 대량 폐사를 유발하는 IHNV의 분리와 특성 (Isolation and Characterization of Infectious Hematopoietic Necrosis Virus Causing High Mortality in Rainbow Trout Oncorhynchus mykiss)

  • High mortality with signs similar to viral haemorrhagic septicemia (VHS) such as severe haemorrhages in the skin, muscle and air bladder occurred in the farmed adult rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss, in Ku-mi and Je-chun area in Korea. The isolates were neutralized by an antiserum against IHNV but not by antisera against VHSV. Electron micrograph of an ultrathin section showed large numbers of bullet-shaped virus particles. The newly isolated rhabdovirus was composed of five structural proteins. In the western blot analysis Ihe anti-DiNV serum strongly reacted with G. N and MI protein. The cumulative mortalities of RTK infected rainbow trout (10-12cm.9-12g) with $10^{3.5}\;and\;10^{1.5}TCID_{50}/m{\ell}$ were 80% and 30%. respectiveIy_ RTJ infected fish showed 50% mortality by infection with $10^{3.5}TCID_{50}/m{\ell}$. Control group and IHNVChAb exhibited no mortality. From these results, the viruses were identified lHNV although diseased fish showed similar sign. with VHS and caused high mortality in large-sized fish.

Monitoring the Functional Properties of Pleurotus eryngii Extracts Using Response Surface Methodology

  • Response surface methodology was employed to optimize extraction conditions for finding the maximal functional properties of Pleurotus eryngii. Based on central composite design, the study plan was established with variations of microwave power (30-150 W), ethanol concentration (0-99.9%), and extraction time (1-9 min). Regression analysis was applied to obtain a mathematical model. A maximal yield of 47.86% was obtained when the microwave power, ethanol concentration, and extraction time were set at 122.7 W, 42.14%, and 8.3 min, respectively. A maximized electron donating ability of 93.32% was found under the following conditions: a microwave power of 144.19 W, an ethanol concentration of 49.52%, and an extraction time of 6.7 min. When the microwave power, ethanol concentration, and extraction time were set at 125.43 W, 40.54%, and 8.1 min, respectively, the maximum nitrite-scavenging ability was 80.47%. The optimum ranges of the extraction conditions, superimposed by the response surface methodology, could predicate a microwave power of 110-150 W, ethanol concentration of 0-45%, and extraction time of 7-9 min.

고온가스로용 핵연료 중간화합물 제조에 대한 연구 (Study on an Intermediate Compound Preparation for a HTGR Nuclear Fuel)

  • In this study the preparation method of the spherical ADU droplets, intermediate compound of a HTGR nuclear fuel, was detailed-reviewed and then, the characteristics on an ageing and a washing steps among the wet process and the thermal treatment process on the died-ADU${\rightarrow}UO_3$ conversion with the high temperature furnaces were studied. The key parameters for spherical droplets forming are a precise control of feed rate and a suitable viscosity value selection of a broth solution. Also, a harmony of vibrating frequency and amplitude of a vibration dropping system are important factor. In our case, an uranium concentration is $0.5{\sim}0.7mol/l$, viscosity is $50{\sim}80$ centi-Poise, vibration frequency is about 100Hz. In thermal treatment for no crack spherical $UO_3$ particle, the heating rate in the calcination must be operated below $2^{\circ}C$/min, in air atmosphere.

아세트아미노펜의 Polyethylene glycol 및 Witepsol 좌제의 직장흡수 - 병원제제를 목적으로 한 아세트아미노펜좌제의 조제 및 유용성 검토- (Rectal Absorption of Acetaminophen from Polyethylene Glycol and Witepsol Suppositories)

  • Acetaminophen (APAP) suppositories with active ingredients, i.e., polyethylene glycol (PEG), Witepsol H-15 (WH), were prepared for hospital use and investigated on their drug release characteristics and pharmacokinetics. WH was employed as oil-soluble base with an aim of reducing fragility and mucosa irritancy that are common drawbacks found in PEG suppositories. Also hollow type suppository was tried as compared with conventional type suppository. Drug release tests revealed that in most formulations, more than $80\%$ of loaded APAP were released within 20 minutes, except for APAP-WH hollow type suppositories. Significant differences in the plasma concentration profile were observed among four type suppositories. $T_{max}$ of APAP-PEG and APAP-WH suppositories were 90 and 60 minutes, respectively, in hollow types. APAP-WH hollow type suppositories demonstrated fast absorption rates of APAP as compared with those of APAP-PEG suppositories. No burst effect was observed from APAP-WH suppository in contrast to APAP conventional type suppository, whereas AUCs of all the suppositories were similar. APAP-WH hollow type suppository may be an useful dosage form for hospital use.
