청소년문화복지 지역격차연구 - 충청지역을 중심으로 - (A study on Regional Disparity of Youth Cultural Welfare)

  • The purpose of this study is to present foundational data to promote the cultural welfare status of youth. The actual condition of the youth's cultural welfare was investigated by investigating the degree of youth's cultural welfare satisfaction and needs by regional groups. A total of 1486 questionnaires were used for the final data analysis. The analysis revealed the following results. 1. Actual conditions of adolescents cultural welfare. 1) Among various cultural activities, adolescents find leisure and social activity, artistic, mass media and video-media activities very boring and one-sided, Instead, they have greater interest in computer- and Internet-related activities, such as getting and sharing information and communication. 2) While adolescents living in urban areas benefit from well developed social infra-structure, those living in rural areas seldom take advantage of it. 3) The obstacles against cultural welfare of the youth can be categorized as: 'lack of money,' 'lack of time,' and 'lack of cultural facilities. ' In urban areas 'lack of time' becomes an issue, whereas in rural areas 'lack of money' and 'lack of cultual facilities' are important. 2. Degree of cultural welfare satisfaction of the youths. Youths generally appear either 'unsatisfied' or 'neutral' concerning their satisfaction degree about leisure and social activity parts, and art and play-activity paris. On the other hand, they appear 'neutral' concerning their satisfaction degree about computer- and Internet-related information and communication parts, and mass- and video-media activity parts. In addition, urban youths show a higher degree of satisfaction than rural youths. 3. What the youths need To improve their culture welfare status, they need a lot of supplements for cultural activity in the form of cultural infra-structure. Regarding the cultural infra-structure, rural youths need more than urban youths.

청소년의 가상 정보 공간에서의 정보 이용 행태에 관한 연구 (Research on Virtual Information Grounds and the Information Use Behavior of Korean Youths)

  • 본 연구는 청소년의 가상 정보 공간에서의 일상적인 활동을 위한 정보 이용 행태에 관해 살펴보았다. 기존의 물리적 정보 공간의 개념을 가상 정보 공간으로 확장하였고, 청소년 시기의 특징을 반영하여 다양한 일상적인 활동과 또래집단을 고려하였다. 이를 위하여 서울시 중고등학생을 대상으로 사전 면담 및 설문조사를 실시하였고, 청소년들의 가상 정보 공간과 정보 이용에 대한 양상을 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 학교도서관에서 청소년들을 위한 교육 프로그램 및 서비스 제공 시에 고려할 수 있는 시사점을 제안하였고, 추후 학교도서관에서의 정보 서비스 기획에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

청소년 스마트폰 중독자 예측 및 회복 프로그램에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Forecast of Smart Phone Addicted Youths and the Effect of Rehabilitation Programs)

  • This study aims to forecast of the number of smart phone addicted youths and to evaluate the effect of rehabilitation programs. A system dynamics model is developed to describe the processes of addiction and transits between phases as well as the diffusion of smart phones. The youths are grouped into non users, general users, potential risky users, and high risky users. The model utilizes the population distributions over ages for the next 30 years forecasted by Korean Government. The number of youths decreases for the next decade or so, and the number of youths who owns smart phone will reach maximum at 2017. As for the rehabilitation programs, the model includes the preventive education for general users, counseling for potential risky users, and professional therapy for high risky users. The preventive education restricts the transit from general users to potential risky users. Counseling increases the transit from potential risky users to general users while it decreases the transit to high risky users. Professional therapy improves transit to potential risky users and to general users. Although the model cannot be validated the accuracy owing to the lack of data, it describes these transit within the reasonable ranges and can be used to study the allocation of the limited resources to maximize the outcome.

중도입국청소년의 한국사회 문화적응과정과 유형 분석 (The analysis of cultural adaptation patterns and processes experienced by immigrated youths of multi-cultural families in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to offer suggestions to help immigrated youths of multicultural families become successful members of Korean society while preparing to enter schools or becoming involved in social activities. The study examined the following three issues using grounded theory: (1) the characteristics of cultural adaptation for immigrated youths of multi-cultural families; (2) their acculturation processes; and (3) their different patterns of acculturation experience. The process of acculturation involves (1) feeling timid, (2) feeling regretful and angry, (3) looking around and making an attempt, (4) feeling difficulty and feeling left out, (5) accepting reality and seeing Korea in a positive light. The core of acculturation among the immigrated youths of multicultural families is a limited living in an unfamiliar culture. Five acculturation patterns were found in the current study: (1) Someone who is actively striving for future dreams; (2) someone who adjusts himself/herself to circumstances without plans; (3) someone who passively makes an effort; (4) someone who accepts reality to continue education; and (5) someone who temporarily stays for financial reasons.

과학자에 대한 청소년의 인상 (이미지)

  • The main purpose of this study is to investigate the Korean youths' impressions of the scientist. The concept of impression is assumed to reflect our significant view of an object better than that of image. That is, the basic assumption is that we tend to behave toward an object, based on its impression which is conceived to be "significant". In late August and early September 2002, a national survey for 1,204 youth (406 for 5th grad; 381 for 8th grade; and 417 for 11th grade) was conducted to find the Korean youths' impressions of the scientist. Our major finding is that the Korean youths' most impressions of the scientist were re his or her activities such as inventing, experimenting, researching, etc. And the major sources of those impressions were found to be television, book, and class. Other findings were about youths' impressions of the science teacher and opinions of the scientist as a profession. Finally, some policy-related implications based on survey results were presented at the end.

청소년기의 대인행동에 미치는 배경요인에 관한 연구 -일반고등학교.산업체.산업체 부설고등학교 청소년을 중심으로- (A Study on the Background Variables Influencing the Interpersonal Behavior of Youth)

  • The author aimed at clarifying the background variables that influence on the interpersonal behavior of youth, and getting the data for comprehensive guidance programs of youth in high schools and industries. In this study the author samples academic high school boys and girls, attached high schools boys and girls to industries and laboring youths. the Scale of interpersonal behavior was administered to the youths sampled as above and the data were analysed accounting to groups, sex, and religious. The results of the study are as follows. 1. The most important factor influenced the interpersonal behavior of youth was identified as social environment. That is, the youths in industries or students attached high school to industries showed more prominent characteristics in interpersonal behavior patterns. Then industrial environment effects more on the youth's behavior than school environment. 2. Sex differences were identified is in interpersonal behavior of youths. Boys are more managerial and autocretice, more cooperative, more docile, more self-efacing, more aggressive and more aggressive and more resistant than girls. But in christian group there found no sex differences is interpersonal behavior. 3. Religion was thought to be one of the most important influencing factor to the interpersonal behavior .But in this study there found no realistic effects, of religion on the interpersonal behavior as much as though of. 4. But according to the denominations, christianity was found to influences more on the interpersonal behavior of youths than Buddhism.

The Mental Health of Ethnic Minority Youths in South Korea and Its Related Environmental Factors: A Literature Review

  • Objectives: With increasing concerns for the rapidly growing minority population in South Korea, this literature review addressed a range of mental health risks among multiethnic youths (MY) in South Korea by 1) comparing mental health outcomes with those of native-born youths and 2) identifying multiple layers of relevant environmental factors, from family and school relationships to culture. Methods: We reviewed 54 studies that fulfilled specific inclusion criteria. Results: Multiple common risk/protective factors, including family separation, family relationship quality, parental socioeconomic and mental health status, social relationships at school, and cultural acceptance, were noted. Conclusion: In general, empirical evidence indicates that minority youths have relatively heightened risks for emotional and behavioral problems. Future studies must elucidate the complex interplay between multiple risk and protective factors and the long-term adaptation and mental health service utilization of MY.

가출위기청소년의 자립생활 준비에 영향을 미치는 생태 체계적 변인연구 - 쉼터 청소년을 중심으로 - (A Study on Ecological Variables that Affect Runaway Youths at Risk in Preparation for a Independent Life - Centering on Youths at Shelters)

  • 본 연구는 청소년쉼터에 입소한 가출위기청소년의 자립생활준비에 관해 살펴보고 가출위기청소년의 개인적 특성과 자립에 영향을 주는 자립의 촉진요인과 저해요인을 파악하여 이들의 건강한 성장을 위한 경제적 자립, 교육적 자립, 심리적 자립, 사회적 자립의 다차원적 관점에서 가출위기청소년의 자립에 대한 의식과 욕구수준을 파악하고 성공적인 자립을 위한 필요요인을 확인하여 자립생활 준비를 위해 개입할 수 있는 근거를 확립하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 자립생활준비에 영향을 미치는 변인을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미시체계 변인이 자립생활 준비에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 진로준비행동에 문제해결능력, 자기효능감이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중시체계 변인이 자립생활 준비에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 진로준비행동에는 자립준비프로그램 참여, 시설지원이 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났으며, 가출위기청소년의 진로성숙에는 교사와의 관계, 자립준비프로그램 참여만이 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 셋째, 거시체계 변인이 자립생활 준비에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 진로준비행동에는 지역사회조직 참여, 서비스 연계가 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났으며, 가출위기청소년의 진로성숙에는 지역사회조직 참여만이 영향을 미치는 예측변인으로 나타났다. 넷째, 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 생태체계변인을 살펴본 결과 가출위기청소년의 진로준비행동에는 중간변인과 거시변인이 가장 강력한 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 이에 정책적 개입으로 가출위기청소년들의 자립생활준비를 위해 문제해결능력과 직업능력개발과 역량강화 교육이 필요하고 쉼터교사의 전문인력이 확대, 배치가 필요하다. 쉼터의 특성을 고려한 자립준비프로그램이 적극적이고 실질적인 프로그램개발확대가 필요하고, 지역사회의 인적자원과 서비스 프로그램 등을 활용하여 지역사회와의 지지망을 구축하는 것이 필요하다. 가출위기청소년들의 가출을 독립을 위한 전단계로 사회가 이해하고 성인이 될 때까지 사회에 안정적인 정착을 위해 주택지원이 주택복지차원에서 필요하다. 가출위기청소년의 건강한 성장을 위한 건강, 심리, 학습, 자활활동을 위한 맞춤교육으로 전문인을 양성하는 직업진로교육의 지원이 필요하다.

농촌청소년의 여가활동 활성화방안 (Rural Youth's Leisure Activity and Measures for Activation)

  • The purposes of this study were to analyze rural youth's leisure activity and to suggest measures for activation. This study was conducted by review of literature and questionnaire, The data was collected from 1,209 stratified cluster random sampled rural youth who are in middle school and high school. To analyze the data, SPSS/WIN program was employed. The major finding of the study were as follows: 1) About 30% of rural youths had less than 1-2 hours for leisure activity in daily life and more than 8 hours for leisure activity during the weekend, and over 40% of rural youths had no plan for leisure activity. 1) They recognized that leisure activity made them enjoy common life, decrease their stress, and get new experience far self-development, 3) participation in sports, organized-activity and self-directed activity of the middle schools youths were higher compare to youths in high schools, 4) to activate leisure life, rural youths expected to get a) direct support for participating leisure activity expenses(27%), b) develop and diffusion of diverse and interesting leisure programs(23%), and c) securing appropriate leisure facilities(22%).

가출 청소년의 비행 경험에 대한 해석적 연구 (An Interpretive Study on Delinquency Experiences of Runway Youths)

  • 본 연구는 가출 청소년의 비행화 과정을 해석적으로 연구함으로써 청소년이 가출 후 비행 행동을 하게 되는 과정을 단계적으로 구성하고 그 사회적 맥락을 밝혀내려 하였다. 청소년이 가출 후 경험하는 상황과 비행 행동이 나타나는 사회적 과정에 대하여 깊이 있는 이해를 얻으며, 이러한 이해를 토대로 이들의 비행 문제를 예방하고 대처하기 위한 서비스 방향을 제시하려 하였다. 연구를 위해 가출 경험이 있는 청소년 11명을 심층인터뷰 하였으며, Denzin(1989)이 제시한 해석적 상호작용주의의 분석 절차에 따라 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 가출 청소년의 비행화 과정은 다섯 단계로 출연하였다. 즉, 청소년은 가출 직후 아는 사람을 통하여 생존의 문제를 해결하다가, 새로운 관계를 형성하여 도움을 받고, 점차 독립적으로 생계의 대안을 탐색하는 과정을 거쳐, 비행적 생계 방식을 배우고, 결국 비행으로 홀로 서는 과정을 경험하고 있었다. 이 비행화의 과정은, 청소년이 생존의 방법을 찾는 행위이고, 거리라는 환경에서 성장하는 의미를 가지며, 소통이 단절된 사회 속에서, 그러면서도 사람과의 관계 속에서 진행되는 과정으로 해석되었다. 그러므로 가출 청소년의 문제는 개인이나 가정의 책임으로 국한하여 대처할 것이 아니라, 청소년이 사죄 안에서 생존을 위한 대안을 발견하고 자신의 어려움을 소통하며 안전하게 성장할 수 있도록 사회적 서비스가 구축되어야 함이 제언되었다.
