For this purpose, data were obtained from 402 male 7nd female university students in Seoul and Inchon, and analyzed by factor analysis, Cronbach's $\alpha$, frequencies, %, Pearson's r and stepwise multiple regression. The major findings were as follows : 1) father's and mother's values had significant relations to university student's alienation. As father and mother had more materialism and competitive achievement pressure, their university student was more alienated, and as father and mother had more neighborhood relations, the student was less alienated. 2) Emotional intimacy between father/mother and student had negative relation to university student's alienation. As the level of emotional intimacy was higher, the student was less alienated 3) Father's and mother's over control had positive relations to university student's alienation. As father's and mother's over control was higher, the student was more alienated. 4) Mother's neighborhood relations, father's and mother's over control, mother-student emotional intimacy and father's materialism had influences on university student's alienation in descending order. These independent variables explained 25. 0 % of the total valiance. Father's materialism and father's/mother's over control increased the level of university student's alienation, but mother's neighborhood relations and mother-student emotional intimacy decreased the bevel of student's alienation. Emerging evidences suggested that in order to prevent or decrease the university student's alienation, their parents should have less materialism and more neighborhood relations, and should not use over control on their university student but produce more emotional support.

Also, students had once-a-week presentation class at school. A survey was conducted to evaluate the student practice program. Results: The presentation class was considerably helpful to share their own experiences at different practice sites in different hospitals, but there were some disadvantages that students could not experience the specific pharmacy practice site on the day of once-a-week presentation at school and so on. The results of the survey on the student practice program reported that students were satisfied with the overall practice program and presentation class at school. Also, they answered that the student practice program in the hospital pharmacy was significantly helpful for planning of the future career. • The purpose of the study was to develop evaluation methods which would measure student achievement and progress without traditional paper-pencil tests such as mid-term and final examinations. More specifically, the main research focus were to establish general directions of student assessment during free semester, to build evaluation models supporting student's participation and learning, and to report and record various student evaluation results. As research results, we found that student evaluation of free semester should be organized to improve a) experience learning activity, self-regulatory and collaboratory study, b) high-order thinking ability and character-building, and c) teacher-student-parent cooperation. Since traditional paper-pencil tests were restricted in free semester, student achievement should be provided by a way of performance descriptions on transcripts rather than quantitative grade points. Student performance descriptions had to show not only subject knowledge but also students efforts, motivation, and participation. These multiple and educationally meaningful information would be collected by teacher-student-parent communication and collaboration.
