Development of Quality Document Management System Using Hypertext (하이퍼텍스트를 이용한 품질문서 관리시스템 구축 사례)

  • In this paper, we present a useful system to manage the quality documents, using the concept of hypertext in HANGUEL wordprocessor, In order to develop this system, we classify all manuals, procedures and forms into files. A relationship chart of these files is constructed and files are hyperlinked according to this chart. We apply this quality document management system using hyper- text to a small precision manufacturing firm by analyzing its all kinds of quality documents. We confirm that this system effectively reduces the handling time of quality documents and supports revising task of quality documents with consistency.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to design a system for quality management and improvement of overall public services. Methods: Literature Review, Framework Design Method, Case Studies Analysis Results: Public Service Quality Management Principles, Definition of Public Services Quality Management Areas, Quality Management Guidelines, Service Quality Management Tools Conclusion: In this study, a study case of the public service quality management framework, which is a system that supports overall quality management and continuous quality improvement of public services, is presented. The management system was designed based on the existing research results and domestic and foreign cases of public service standardization, targeting the entire public service.

  • Although the role of information system has been rapidly increasing in modern management, there have been few researches on the quality assurance in information system. This paper suggests how to apply quality function deployment(QFD) to information system development in order to build up user-centered quality assurance system. The main focus of the paper is how to design the linkages between management strategy, information systems, and the users using quality function deployment.

  • Many organizations have developed their own traditional quality information systems. But, they think of it as one of the functional information systems not as a company-wide decision support information systems. A study on traditional quality information systems(QIS) has been conducted and a new conceptual framework of quality information system is proposed in this paper. In order to support enterprise wide total quality management aggressively, a new conceptual framework, named quality management support information system(QMSIS) is developed and proposed. This framework is based upon Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award(MBNQA) model integrates management information system approach and traditional quality information system concept. In this model, organizational performance and process performance can be monitored to support managers , decision making about organizational quality management activities.

  • This paper describes the method of establishing good quality system, developed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of designing or revising quality system, based on the engineering approach. This is one approach, but with small modification, its method is applicable not only to the quality system, but to the entire management system in an organization. The best quality system is one's own system, and it must be kept simple, complete and economic.

  • Purpose: A Study on the application of quality management system specification to production validation and audit in military airworthiness certification. Methods: Aircraft quality management system specification for quality assurance and production validation and audit requirements were examined to verify. Also, the system for domestic and foreign production certification were investigated. Results: Production validation and audit criteria for military aircraft by applying methods suggested Aircraft Certifications Systems Evaluation Program(ACSEP). ACSEP evaluation of the items, some items were complementary and not applied. Conclusion: As a way to ensure the safety of aircraft, confirm the correction of Production validation & audit criteria and rulemaking is necessary and how to manage for Critical Safety Item(CSI) is a need to improve.

  • Purpose: In an infinite market competition, companies are adopting management systems to gain a competitive advantage. The expectancy effect of the management system is management performance improvement and accurate measurements. These can be made through quality records with integrity and maintainability. This paper examines the operation of records management standards, which are records, storage and management standards for quality records to understand the needs of records management standards and empathize with their needs. Methods: This paper examines PEC's (Pields Engineering Co., Ltd.) specific processes and standards for integrating individual management systems and establishing records management standards. We also look at the specific features of the Search Tool and Document Storage Management Standards that support records management standards. Results: The integration process of PEC's individual management system consists of five steps. A PDCA-based process was established to erode the confusion and inefficiencies caused by overlap between individual management systems. Also, by accurately grasping corporate competence, PEC established a record management standard suitable for the characteristics of the company. PEC's records management standards are used as a useful standard for organizing quality records, and have an impact on management performance improvement. Conclusion: PEC's records management standards enable the verification of quality performance rates and performance measures. Companies can implement appropriate quality improvement strategies based on the numbers identified by introducing records management standards. Companies can succeed in improving management performance when operating quality management that combines performance measurement techniques and records management standards.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the causal relationship among categories in the Korean National Quality Award(KNQA) model. The survey instrument consists of 79 questions from seven categories in the KNQA. Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) is used to analyze the empirical data and estimates the path coefficients among the KNQA categories. The result of this research indicates that Leadership drives systems that create Results through Foundation and Direction. Among eighteen hypotheses, sixteen hypotheses are statistically significant. Especially, this research indicates that Foundation and Direction are important mediating factors.

  • This paper deals with an integration model of three major quality management systems. The well known global standards such as ISO 9001 quality system, Malcolm Baldrige model, and EFQM model are integrated as a prototype quality system. The proposed model is then applied to help a power generation company to select improvement tasks for enhancing quality management. Here, we discuss three quality management systems, an integration process of the three systems, the integrated model, and a real world application case.

A Study on Aviation Oversight System Quality Management Improvement (국내 항공안전감독 품질 향상을 위한 개선방안 연구)

  • This paper analyzes quality management of aviation safety services in Korea and proposes practical implications for improvement. We look into how quality management is conducted in the Korean aviation industry and confirm aviation authority's efforts for a quality management system. We also compare and analyze international standard ISO 9001 and aviation safety oversight system quality management cases of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with a Korean case. Results find the difference in defining the scope of ISO 9001 management between ICAO/FAA and the Korean authority which causes unnecessary misunderstanding in oversight perception. The Korean aviation authority strives to provide a high level of safety oversight services by educating aviation safety inspectors as well as establishing a quality management system. We believe that our proposals can help Korean aviation safety oversight system secure objective credibility and seek a safe growth and development of the aviation industry.
