민화와 피터 브뤼겔(Pieter Brueghel) 작품을 융합한 가방디자인 개발 연구 (A study of developing the bag design based on the hybrid of folk paintings and Pieter Brueghel's works)

  • This study is about the development of hybrid bag designs using folk paintings and the paintings of Pieter Brueghel. For the development of design, the study examined the periodical, ideological background, aesthetic characteristics, composition and themes of folk paintings, and Brueghel's paintings. Through a literature review, many similarities were found between folk paintings and Brueghel's paintings, such as symbolism and humor, which are aesthetic characteristics of folk paintings, and the use of stories, myths, folktales, or satire with a background of nature. In addition, hybrid fashions made by mixing conflicting elements, such as East and West, men and women, and rich and poor are attracting attention. However, the development of hybrid fashion designs of Korean folk paintings and Western paintings are rare. So, folktale characters were produced on Korean folktales. The deer expressed in the Bible Agatha, the tiger in from a Korean folktale, magpies are symbols of longevity. The folk painting characters described above, and the folk paintings of Peter Bruegel were fused and reconstructed. The bag designs were developed based on this fused and reconstructed work. The significance of this study is to expand folk paintings that reflect Korea's representative thoughts and lifestyles through the fusion of various motifs and Western paintings, and to present folk paintings as a medium that can inherit Korean beauty and inform the world.

현삼이 DNCB로 유발된 알레르기성 접촉성 피부염에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Scrophulariae Radix (SR) on Allergic Contact Dermatitis (ACD) induced by DNCB in mice)

  • Objective : In the theory of Korean medicine, Scrophulariae Radix (SR) can clear away heat and cool the blood, nourish yin and promote the production of the body fluids, relieve toxin and benefit the throat. The present study was carried out to investigate effects of SR on allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) induced by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB) in mice. Methods : In this experiment, effects of SR on clinical aspects on the skin, histopathological changes such as spongiosis, mast cell distribution, immune cell infiltration in tissue, spleen / body ratio and production levels of serum cytokines were investigated in vivo. In addition, effects on cell viability and release of b-hexosaminidase and histamine were also investigated in vitro. Results : SR treatment diminished erythema, desquamation and keratosis which were induced by repeated painting of DNCB. Spongiosis and edema were diminished by painting of SR in histopathological observation, infiltrations of mast cell and monocytes were also decreased in SR group. In addition, spleen / body ratio was lowered compared to ADC control group. Production level of IFN-${\gamma}$ in serum was decreased, but level of IL-4 did not affected by SR. Finally, more than 400 ${\mu}g/ml$ of SR treatment groups showed decreased cell viabilities in RBL-2H3 cells. Treatment with over 200 ${\mu}g/ml$ of SR decreased b-hexosaminidase release, and treatment with over 400 ${\mu}g/ml$ decreased histamine release in vitro. Conclusion : these data suggest that SR can decrease symptoms of ACD, then SR is useful to treat patient with ACD.

한복 버선에 관한 연구 -버선 원형의 비교를 중심으로- (A Study on Boesun -On the Comparison of the Basic Patterns of Boesun-)

  • The main purpose of this study is to investigate the suitability of Boesun (the Korean Socks) to the foot. In order to find the problem of Boesun, I made up the questionnaire. The suitabltity of Boesun to the foot was experimented by 'the replica method', 'the fuse method' and 'the deform painting method'. The pressure of Boesun to the foot was measured by utilizing a human sensitivity as a sensor. The results were as follows. 1. In the questionnaire, the fore part of Boesum was uncomfortable by the pressure. 2. The surface area of Boesun was generally smaller than the surface area of the foot, but the ratio of two surface area related closely to the individual. 3. At the cross-sections from No. 1 to No. 10, the breadth of the worn Boesun was smaller than the breadth of the foot. Because of the smaller breadth of the worn Boesun, the foot was get the pressure at the fore part of Boesun. This result accorded with the result of the questionnaire. 4. The location of the deformation by 'deform painting method' was almost the fore part of Boesun. 5. The pressure of Kwon's Boesun was 2.57$\~$2.99kg, the pressure of Kim's Boesun was 1.31$\~$1.74 kg and the pressure of Lee's Boesun was 3.42$\~$3.88kg. Compared with the distribution chart of the pressure, Kwon's Boesun was involved the back part of 'slightly pressured' and the fore part of 'pressured', Kim's Boesun was involved the fore part of 'slightly pressured' and Lee's Boesun was involved the middle part of 'pressured'.

라캉의 정신분석학 개념으로 살펴 본 한국의 현대 벽화 (A Study on Contemporary Murals of Korea; in Lacan′s Psychoanalytic View)

  • 한국의 현대 벽화는 한국의 시각적 수위를 드러내는 하나의 지표이다. 본 논문의 첫째 장에서는 한국의 현대 벽화제작 시스템을 분석한 후, 둘째 장에서는 조선시대의 풍속화나 시각상징물을 재현한 벽화를 라캉의 정신분석학적 개념을 빌어 설명했다. 라캉의 연구 중 주종을 이루는 상상계와 상징계의 개념으로 한국적인 소재 재현의 심리적, 정신적 배경을 분석하는 방법을 취했다. 한국의 벽화가 보여주는 시각 현실은 과거조선 시대 공동체와의 상상적 동일시를 피하는 것이라는 논지로 전개되었으며, 이는 서구 중심의 상징계에서 생활하는 주체의 분열상, 허구적 의식을 암시하는 동시에 주체의 시지각에 혼란을 초래하는 요인이 되어 또 다시 상상계적 재현을 되풀이하는 것으로 결론지었다. 결론에서는 이러한 시각 혼란 현상을 극복하고 실재 생활을 표현하는 시각 양식의 개발을 위해서 한국인의 아비투스를 연구해서 그에 맞는 대안이 마련되어야 한다는 후속 연구의 방향을 제시하였다.

조선후기 감로탱화 하단화를 통해 본 예인복식 연구(제1보) - 사당패 남자복식을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Costumes of Male Performers in the late Joseon's Gamrotaenghwa(Part I) - Korean Nectar Ritual Painting -)

  • This study is focused on the man's costumes of Sadangpae(the troupe of performers) shown in Gamrotaenghwa (감로탱화) during the late Chosun dynasty. Originally Gamrotaenghwa was used as a painting for a Buddhist praying ceremony, 또Young-ga-cheon-do-je(영가천도제). It shows us the lives of the commoners in those days. Gamrotaenghwa reflects the changes of costume style in the late Chosun period. The early styles of po(포, coat) for male performers in the 17th century were changeui(창의) and dopo(도포), which had the front panels(seop) overlapped deeply and sleeves that got wider as time passed. After the 18th century, Male performers wore a simpler coat such as sochangeui(소창의), which had narrow sleeves and long slits on the both sides. Especially the coats of acrobats were fastened on the center front with buttons. Heuklip(흑립: black hat), somoja(소모자: small cap) and jeonlip(전립: wool hat) were used as hats for the male performers. Originally, heuklip was the hat that represented the noble status: yangban(양반). However, it was popularized among the commoners in the late Chosun period. As time passed on, the heuklip became more popular and its shape also changed. Somoja and jeonlip were shown throughout the entire Gamrotaenghwa. Unlike heuklip, those were common hats for Sadangpae. The costumes of entertainers shown in Gamrotaenghwa were very similar to those of the commoners. However, it seems that there were some differences of the costumes depending on the roles they performed.

도시환경의 시각요소로서 슈퍼 그래픽 유형에 관한 연구 -기능별 분류와 발생배경을 중심으로- (A Study on the Types of Super Graphics - Special Reference of Functional Types and Appearance Background -)

  • ^x The enviroment defines the living conditions for people and has at the same time the possibility to create new environment. In Korea, where the rate of urbanization reached more than 50% in 1970′s the priority has been put on the economic development and administrative function. Under the circumstance, visual environmental field was dealt lightly and it resulted in undesirable environment. The techniques of Mordern Arts (Montage, Depeysment, Tromp L′oeil, P.O.P Art, etc.) helped Super Graphics appear in the urban areas. Environmental Art has been expended into the public space and people came to recognize the Arts as the "Street Art" or "Street as Gallery". Super Graphics has four types 1) Resident′s Super Graphics ; Minority groups came to maintain social equality and rights, in cooperation with each other. Such maintenance required general urbanites to form communities which gave birth to the community art, Mural Painting. 2) Environmental Super Graphics ; Beauty has come to be stressed in order to improve the quality of urban lives in the course of inescapable urban development. Instead of renewal of all established construction conservation oriented renewal was encouraged. 3) Super Graphics as Population Arts ; In the 1960′s artists repulsed the establishments in an efforts to open new phase independent from the expressional in the arts. They recognized the relationship between painting, society and the public in different angle and tried to describe all living space on canvas. 4) Super Graphics as Advertisement ; Super Graphics functions as efficient media to deliver images to the urbanites. Super Graphics as media plays the role for political propaganda and commercial advertisements according to their purposes. In Korea, especially, it is required to introduce the environmental Super Graphics. But it is desirable to introduce Super Graphics with Korean culture and sense of beauty. Designers themselves are also required to have responsibility to improve the quality of urban culture.

농촌주택개량사업에서 파생되는 문제와 그 대책 (A Study on some Problems derived form Improvement Work of Rural Houses and their Solutions)

  • Since 1971 when the nation wide 'New Community' movement was launched to improve rural standards of living, dol and thatched-roof houses have been reshaped or removed, thereby making it hard to find time-honored people's living structures in the countryside. Since 1977, the improvement work of rural houses has started throughout the country, so many new rural residences have been constructing along the highway, main roads, railways and around the sightseeing area, New rural houses do not show, for the most part, the traditional architectural style and the nation's unique conventional ways of living. The writer tried to find solutions to the problems derived from improvement work of rural residence, in a comparative method of traditional rural houses and newly constructed rural ones. The greater part of new rural houses' types, painting colors, and fence types had been recommended by provincial administrative trative officials. Officials recommended them to the farmer with their standards, which did not consider farmer's convenience of traditional way of life, but a fine sight from the highways or railways. Korea's three basic roof types are the HAPKAK roof (gabled and hipped), the UCHINKAK roof(hipped), and the BAKKOONG roof(gabled). However, the gabled roof houses, having their entrance on the gabled side, are found more ofter in new rural village. As mentioned above, architectural style is not harmonious with the topography and climate i Korea, because it is not Korean traditional type, but one of the western styles. And new rural house plans are inconvenient in the conservation rural family system, because of the same category with urban houses plans. Other problems derived from ton-traditional architecture style are roof painting in 4-5 colors in a new village, types of wall and fence, and attached building in the site.

강교 도장용 블라스트 처리가 면외거셋 용접이음의 피로거동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Blast Cleaning for Steel Bridge Painting on Fatigue Behavior of Out-of-Plane Gusset Welded Joints)

  • 강구조물의 제작에는 흑피 등의 이물질 제거 및 도장의 부착성 증대를 위해 블라스트 표면처리가 실시되고 있지만, 이러한 도장용 블라스트 처리가 용접이음의 피로거동에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 검토되어 있지 않은 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 강교 도장용 블라스트 처리가 용접이음부의 피로거동에 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위하여, 용접한 그대로 및 용접 후 블라스트 처리한 면외거셋 용접이음을 대상으로 피로실험을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 강교 도장용 블라스트 처리에 의해 면외거셋 용접이음의 용접지단부 비드접선각도 및 곡률반경이 증가되고 압축잔류 응력이 도입됨을 확인하였다. 그리고 면외거셋 용접이음의 피로수명은 고응력범위에서는 블라스트 처리의 유무와 상관없이 거의 동일하였지만, 저응력범위(150MPa이하)에서는 피로수명이 증가하였으며, 피로한계는 약 160%정도로 크게 증가함을 확인하였다.

건설업 근로자의 유해 작업 환경 노출 실태에 관한 연구 (Health Hazardous Substances in Construction Work in Korea)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the working conditions In construction workers through measurements of working environments and to improve the working conditions and to design the appropriate environmental and health management system. The results of measurement for working environments in construction work are as following: 1. The excess rate of noise and dust concentration in express highway construction, road construction, building construction and interior painting was 28.6% and 24.5% respectively. 2. The excess rate of mixed organic solvents concentration in interior painting was 39.3%. 3. The chain type bulldozer has the highest level of vibration; the excess rate was 85.7%, and among the vibration instruments, the level of left hand's vibration of all vibrators exceeded the criterion and in the case of drilling all the level of vibration exceeded the criterion in both hands. On the basis of the results in this research the environmental and health management system for construction workers must be considered. Therefore, it is necessary to be introduced the special medical examination and measurement of working environments in construction industry. In defining "the working place" of Article 39 of Enforcement regulations of industrial safety and health act, the word "indoors" should be deleted. Then the eligible industry for measurement of working environment must be extended. And it is also necessary for construction industry to be performed group health management service by agencies such as other manufacturing industry.

민화의 화조화에 나타난 모티브와 색채를 활용한 현대 패션디자인 개발 (Modern Fashion Design Development by using Motifs and Colors of Flower and Bird Pictures in Folk Painting)

  • This study analyzes the characteristics of the motifs and colors in flower and bird paintings which contain and present Korea's unique aesthetics based on its richest data among all other types of Korean folk paintings. With a theoretical exploration of folk paintings and an analysis of the motifs and colors, textile design with an aim to present highly valued korean modern fashion design was developed. Two hundred and seventy flower and bird paintings were selected from relevant materials, resulting in an extraction of 5,068 colors. A palette of representative colors was made based on densely distributed hues and tones. The research can be summarized as follows: Flower and bird paintings contain flowers, birds, trees and animals and the motifs in the paintings stand for spirituality, philosophies from different times and other symbols of our nation. Each of the motifs in these paintings is a prayer for good luck, especially conjugal harmony and fecundity to bring about happiness and richness. Colors in flower and bird paintings are characteristic of the order: YR(25.5%)>R(19.2%)>Y(10.6%)>PB(9.2%)>G(7.9%), with low-chromatic YR and highly bright R taking up a larger percent. The order of tones is: d(13.5%)>dk (10.5%)>s(10.4%)>dkg(10.0%)>sf(9.1%)and the tone is dark in general. YR, taking up the largest percent, was dull, light, and soft. As for the achromatic colors, the order is: W(5.2%)>Gy(1.9%)>Bk(0.7%). Based on the above analyzed color data, those colors which were high in their hue and tone were extracted to present representative colors. In this way, representative colors like yellow, yellowish red, red, green, and purplish blue were extracted. This was the basis to present motifs and colors originating from subjects of folk paintings in various patterns using Illustrator CS6, to create modern fashion design.
