The purposes of the study were to investigate the differences of image on male and female contemporary folk costume of college students according to their sex, major and contemporary folk costume‘s possession. The data were collected from 300 male and 313 female college students in Cheongju city through self-administerd questionnaires and were analyzed by frequencies, Cronbach’s α, F-test, t-test, one way ANOVA and Duncan Test. The results of the study were as follows: There were significant differences with the images on male and female contemporary folk costume according to student‘s sex. There were significant differences with the images on male and female contemporary folk costume according to student’s major. There were significantly different with the images on male and female contemporary folk costume between group of having a contemporary folk costume and group of non-having it.

During a period from October 1st to November 15th in 1971, We made a survey on hygienic status of kitchen utensils used at 270 college student's home in 9 districts of Seoul city. The results obtained could be summarized as follows. In bacteriological study on the kitchen utensils 20.7% of them revealed contaminations with general bacterial counts of over 100/m1 and 20.0% of them with coliform bacteria. It was probable that degrees of bacterial contamination of the kitchen utensils were chiefly attributable to levels of education of housewives and living standard of individual household. Factors that were presumed to be directly responsible for the contamination were sources and storage of water and methods of washing the utensils. One of the major sources of contamination was derived from the use of a piece of cloth (Hangjoo) to wipe up the utensils after soashing. Hygienic treatment of Hangjoo in urgently needed. Otherwise, it is desirable not to used the Hangjoo and leave the utensils dry after washing them with boiling water.

In recent years there has been a rise in the use and interest of the flipped learning as a teaching and learning paradigm. The flipped learning model includes any use of Internet technology to enrich the learning in a classroom, so that a professor can spend more time interacting with students instead of lecturing. In the flipped model, students viewed video lectures online outside of class time. Students then performed two kinds of assignments, a teamwork assignment and an individual work assignment, through the class time. In this paper, we propose a flipped educational model for a college class. This experimental research compares class of college algorithm using the flipped classroom methods and the traditional lecture-homework structure and its effect on student achievement. The result data of mid-term exam and final exam were analyzed and compared with previous year data. The findings of this research show that there was not a significant difference in the scores of student between two lecturing methods. The survey result and lecture evaluation by students show that students are in favor of the flipped learning.

Research in undergraduate mathematics education has been active very recently. The purpose of the paper is to investigate how college students make ion from some known informations about integer and rational numbers in algebra. Three college students were involved in the study. We analyze student's personal answers in order to find where their misunderstandings and difficulties come from based on the theoretical frameworks on mathematical understanding such as APOS-model and P-K-model. Finally we discuss about constructivist teaching ways for algebra and propose new paradigm for teaching undergraduate mathematics.

In the early 2020, COVID-19 changed the traditional way of teaching and learning. This paper aimed to explore the impact of college students' perception of course quality on their online learning satisfaction. A total of 4,812 valid samples were extracted, and the difference analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were used to make an empirical analysis of college students' online learning satisfaction. The research results were as follows. Firstly, there was no difference in online learning satisfaction among students by gender and grade. Secondly, learning assessment, course materials, course activities and learner interaction, and course production had a significant positive impact on online learning satisfaction. Course overview and course objectives had an insignificant correlation with online learning satisfaction. Thirdly, the total effect of online learning satisfaction was as follows. Course production had the greatest effect, followed by course activities and student-student interactions, followed by course materials. It was the learning evaluation that showed the least effect. This study can provide empirical reference for college teachers on how to continuously improve online teaching and increase students' satisfaction with online learning.

Purpose: This study is descriptive research that confirms breakfast eating habit of woman's college students and related factors. Methods: This investigation took place in August 2010 and was participated 142 students of one woman's college which located in a large city. The contents of the questionnaire consists of general trait, diet trait, life patterns and health states. Results: According to the results of uni-variate analysis, the significant variables of breakfast eating habit are: Recognition of importance of breakfast, spare time before attendance, her parents's breakfast eating habit, times of snack, times of eating out and index of food life style. But, according to the results of multi-variate analysis, the number of the significant variables became narrow and they were: Recognition of importance of breakfast, spare time before attendance and her father's breakfast eating habit. Conclusion: Finally, it can be said that the breakfast eating habit of woman's college student is related to recognition of importance of breakfast, spare time before attendance and her father's breakfast habit strongly. It is necessary to emphasis on the recognition of the importance of breakfast and concerns of parents for breakfast eating habit to improve the regularity of breakfast eating habit for woman's college students' health.

This study analyzed the change in the rater reliability based on the student's practice evaluation process conducted at Yonsei University College of Dentistry. Through this, we suggest the significance of the rater calibration training in the student's practical evaluation of dental college. Nine professors from the department of Conservative Dentistry, Yonsei University College of Dentistry, analyzed the results of class II restoration cases twice in 2017 and once in 2018. Intra Class Correlation (ICC) which is a statistic used to determine the consistency of raters with three or more scores, was also calculated. ICC values increased as raters participated in rater calibration meetings and grading experiences. This shows that the rater reliability is related to the grading experience and feedback from calibration meeting. Based on the results of previous studies that grading experiences and rater calibration training can cause a meaningful change in rater behavior, we propose to conduct rater calibration training to ensure the evaluator reliability.

Student-athletes identify themselves as athletes first and students second and experience identity foreclosure in which they rarely consider other possibilities for their career besides professional athletes. There is a gap between the career education that college student-athletes and regular students get, so we conducted this study to test the effectiveness of a career education program. The proposed career education program was based on Super and Ginsberg's career development theory and Holland's career choice theory. Data were collected from 13 college student-athletes using a pretest-posttest research design and analyzed using a t-test. The program was conducted in the form of 90-minute weekly sessions over 3 weeks. The program's effectiveness was measured in terms of participants' stress from a lack of career information, career preparedness, self-understanding, and career decision-making self-efficacy. The results showed that each variable, except stress from a lack of career information, was significantly improved after the program compared to before the program, indicating that the program was effective. Theoretical and practical implications regarding career education for student-athletes are discussed in this paper.

In this study, we explored factors that affect high school student's affective attitude on mathematics with respect to the school mathematics instructoin, school mathematics assessment, mathematics textbook, private mathematics education, college entrance and career, and social atmosphere. Considering students' grade, major, academic level, gender, and school location, 1,029 high school students participated in the survey. To analyze the survey results, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and chi-square test were conducted using SPSS ver 29.0. Results are as follows. First, generally, college entrance and career and school mathematics instruction affected students' affective attitude on mathematics. Second, according to student's academic level and gender, there was a statistically significant difference in the factors affecting the affective attitude on mathematics. Third, according to students' background, there was a statistically significant difference in students' responses to sub-categories of each factor. We suggested that to improve student's affective attitude on mathematics, diversity of the school mathematics instruction, improvement of the mathematics textbook, student's appropriate participation in the private mathematics education, improvement of student's perception of the utilization of the mathematics in the future and the importance of the mathemaitcs in the society, and parents' emotional support are needed.

Purpose: This study was done to analyze core competencies affecting critical thinking ability of student nurses. Core competencies investigated in this study were problem solving ability, communication ability and self-directed learning ability. Method: Data were collected from a convenience sample of 322 student nurses in 2 provinces during the period from May 21 to June 8, 2007. Critical thinking, problem solving ability, communication ability and self-directed learning ability were measured using the Disposition towards Critical Thinking Scale by Park(1999-a) and the Core Competencies Scale by Lee(2003). Descriptive statistics and correlation coefficients with the SPSS WIN 12.0 program were used to analyze the data. Results: There were significant differences in the critical thinking according to grade, type of high school, experience with PBL, preference for lecture-based learning, preference for discussion and perceived logicality. The score for critical thinking showed significantly positive correlations with scores for problem solving ability(r=0.54, p=0.00), communication ability(r=0.56, p=0.00) and self-directed learning ability(r=0.54, p=0.00). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that problem solving ability, communication ability and self-directed learning ability are significant factors affecting critical thinking in student nurses.
