The aim of present study was to examine the inhibitory effects of hydroxamic acid derivatives on the melanogenesis. We found that hydroxamic acid moiety was important for anti-melanogenic activity. Compounds 1a and 1b strongly inhibited melanin synthesis via deactivation of tyrosinase. Hydroxamic acid has metal ion chelating ability which is similar to that kojic acid, however, anti-tyrosinase mechanism of compounds 1a and 1b was different from that of kojic acid. They showed noncompetitive inhibition kinetics

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the relationships between the R&D characteristics and R&D performance for Korean enterprises. We divided R&D performance into technological and business launching performance and analyzed four R&D characteristics' effect on the performance. The empirical analysis results can be summarized as follows: First, R&D characteristics of enterprises show a strong relationship with R&D performance in the case of R&D process control. Second, firm capability and information routine positively affect to technological performance at 0.1 significant level but not showing significance in the case of business launching performance. Third, managerial support negatively affects to technological performance but dose not show statistical significance. Its effect on business launching performance, however, shows positive and significant effect. This result is expected to be highly suggestive for establishing the effective R&D strategies of enterprises and also the relevant overseas marketing plan to support R&D planning.

This study examines a normative model of project management systems, PPMS, to provide information for directing R&D activity in order to increase R&D productivity. The PPMS (Project Process Management System) is a disciplined and systematic framework to manage R&D projects effectively and efficiently under the assumption of a strategic decision making and long-range planning. The purpose of PPMS is to provide for the management of research organization at different levels an effective management tool; first, for the planning system which deals with rational selection and authorization of R&D projects, second, for the control system which concerns monitoring and controlling the execution of R&D projects, and finally, for the evaluation system which attains evaluation of the performance results of R&D projects and determination of the necessary follow-up. A view for the future development of project management within the context of a project-performing organization is also elaborated to exhibit the progress and phase description of the project management system.

Nowadays almost nations try to promote the competition of nation through the development of national science technology. Also Korea has been engaging in this race of through public research&development institute. But recently the commercialization of R&D products appears a poor result in the royalty of technology according weak technology transfer toward IT small and medium-sized enterprises. Even If we have been trying to find the problems and causes, as yet it is true that we don't solve clearly the problem, make a diagnosis about it. This paper analyzes the process of commercialization in public R&D research institute(ETRI: Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) through system thinking and researches an interrelationship among government agency, public R&D research institute, and enterprise. This one can find the fact that between research fund and R&D products, transfer technology and royalty, and enterprise's operating profit and active technology transfer like adding technology development is a positive feedback loop. This positive feedback loop in the commercialization of public R&D research institute carries out very important role in examining problems in R&D product's commercialization. Also this paper looks forward to being a guide in the commercialization of public R&D research institute.

The purpose of this study is to pro-actively respond to changes in government R&D policy and start to supplement the limitations of previous KIGAM R&D planning process. We looked out through the existing literature for a variety of R&D planning process, and analyzed the R&D planning process characteristics of each institution through the interview. As a result, we can be derived conclusions and implications from three sides, environmental analysis, demand excavation methods, R&D project configuration and selection method. In the case of environmental analysis and the overall need to enhance the skills and mega trend analysis by market trend analysis. And in the demand side, the institute need to establish challenging and specific R&D goals. In addition, in case of configuration and selection of R&D projects we derived several implications, such as convergence, SME support, resource analysis, selection of long-term project.
