This paper is an explanation of a design and an implementation of Web 2.0 online travel agency system for frequent decision-making. On the Web 2.0 travel agency system, optimized information is obtained by applying data mining technology such as association rules, decision trees, and neural networks, and this system is a unified system that consists of the block systems of hotels, ground traffic, and flights in tour packages of a travel agency system. Furthermore, it is implemented to manage the system that is not for the administrator of a travel agency system, but for users or communities that use the system need their own information. The expected effect of this system is to maximize the investment company's efficiency through a new-concept interest model created by B2C customers, and also B2B small and medium-sized travel agencies adopting the system. As a result, it is a system that stimulates dormant customer activity and prevents good customers from leaving by maximizing the merit and capacity of the existed web site for marketing. Moreover, this system is also a model for people who plan customized travel agency business, and will show a way for the domestic and international travel agency industry's globalization.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the domestic travel activities by job characteristic and derive implications to improve the domestic tourism by using 2010 Korea National Tourism Survey data(Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism). We classified survey samples(1,813 persons) by 6 job characteristic categories and compared the domestic travel activities(number of travel, day of travel, expenditure of travel). As the results of analysis, the domestic travel activities of paid worker, full-time worker, employers with a 500 or more workers, biweekly five-day worker are more than non-paid worker, part-time worker, employers with a 10 or less workers, worker who work six to seven days a week.
Travel voucher for low-income or social disadvantaged groups forms a part of social policies in Korea. The policy can not only provide an opportunity of travel experiences for the socially weak, but also enhance their family capital and social capital. Thus, the travel voucher policy can be beneficial for the participants and their society. However, little research evidence of its evaluation and challenges/benefits exists. In practice, one of the biggest problems is an attrition of travel voucher winners which is to decrease a cost-effect of the travel voucher policy and to increase unnecessary waste of both the federal and human resources. Thus more research is needed to answer the questions why some of winners abandon to go to travel by the voucher, and who is the seceder? In this context, the study empirically examines the attrition propensity for the winners of 2011 Seoul travel voucher from 1,632 respondents and second data from Korea Tourism Organization. This research found that total education years of travel voucher winners have a significant effect on using their voucher. Implications and alternative policies for government policy makers and administrators are discussed by the analyzed results.

Freight travel pattern has been less studied comparing with the field of passenger travel. Nonetheless, the importance of the freight travel has been increasing in urban travel sector, and the research needs on the freight travel demand hence is increasing. The current paper aims to identify, by tons of freight trucks and cargos, the characteristics of mean travel pattern, efficiency or performance, and the characteristics of freight trip chain regarding destination location, destination type and freight type. The study analyzed the nation-wide data of freight travel behavior survey. This study intended to set the starting framework of decision-making principle in freight travel, which has already been popular in passenger travel study. Findings suggest that those characteristics are clearly distinguished among trucks and cargos of different sizes of tons. The results are expected to provide important insight to the development of relevant transportation policy measures.

And thereafter the shopping satisfaction, travel satisfaction, intention to word-of-mouth, and intention to re-visit were compared by country, gender and age. Finally, the effect of shopping satisfaction on travel evaluations as well as the effect of demographics on shopping satisfaction were examined. Secondary data were used for this survey, while ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test and regression analysis were applied to analyze data. The results were listed below. First, main travel activities were shopping, followed by enjoying natural scenery and visiting historic sites. Apparel, cosmetics, leather goods, and shoes were major shopping products. Chinese and Japanese tourists preferred cosmetics and apparel most, while US travellers bought lots of apparel and shoes. Changes in the life style might vary trip purposes, ultimately leading to the change in the travel behavior. Therefore, this study analyzed the factors affecting travel time change by using the time use survey data in Seoul, surveyed by the Statistics Korea in 1999~2014. We developed multiple linear regression models for travel time, considering individual, household and time-related variables as independent variables. The models were separately estimated weekday and weekend. the model results show that the household, individual, and time related variables have an significant effect on the travel time. In addition, travel time is more influenced by individual characteristics thn household ones. Each activity time positively affects the travel time, indicating that travel is derived demand. The variable that have the greatest influence on the travel time is the activity time for leisure.

Korean travel agencies that have been utilizing the Internet passively feel threatened as global online travel agencies are quickly permeating the Korean travel market. Under these circumstances, this study conducted a focused analysis on how ICT affects the business environment of travel agencies. Based on the analyzed data, it also presents coping strategies for the Korean travel agencies. First, it is imperative to accelerate platform development to counteract the distribution structure of global tourism products. Second, it is essential that travel agencies actively utilize big data, the new paradigm of technology where data are generated at high speed, high volume, and for numerous purposes. Third, it is necessary to actively utilize a travel blog marketing strategy. As a communication tool for travel agencies, the continuing development of the Internet highlights the usefulness of marketing activities using blogs. Finally, it is essential to provide each customer more specialized travel consultancy.

And there are significant difference in the number of family travels, the total number of family travel days and expenditure by family income and the overall number of family members.
