In this paper, we prove the product property and the existence of an extremal analytic disc relative to the higher order Kobayashi metric. Also by making use of the upper semicontinuity of the higher order Kobayashi metric, we introduce a pseudodistance and investigate some properties of that pseudodistance related to the usual Kobayashi metric.

In this paper, we'll introduce infinitesimal Finsler metrics induced by the higher order Kobayashi pseudometric and then prove some properties related to these as compared with the usual Kobayashi metric.

Interference may severely deteriorate performance in wireless communication. Han-Kobayashi scheme splits each user's signal into private and common information so that the receiver removes the other's common signal for partial interference cancellation. This paper proposes an optimal power allocation to private and common signals for Han-Kobayashi scheme by using required SNR in a private information only system. Numerical results show that the proposed power allocation is quite close to the optimal power allocation based on exhaustive searches.

The specimens of caddisflies previously recorded as Sortosa distincta (Walker, 1852), Rhyacophila uchidai Kobayashi, 1989, Rhyacophila jirisana Kobayashi, 1989, Crunobiodes koriaensis Kobayashi, 1989, and Ganonema odaenum Kobayashi, 1989 from South Korea were reexamined. Rhyacophila uchidai and R. jirisana are newly synonymized with R. retracta Martynov, 1914 and R. vicina Botosaneanu, 1970, respectively. We reconfirm two synonyms, C. koriaensis with Lepidostoma sinuatum (Martynov, 1935) and G. odaenum with Psilotreta locumtenens Botosaneanu, 1970, and a misidentification of Dolophilodes affinis Levanidova and Arefina, 1996 as S. distincta. Some specimens recorded as G. odaenum are identified as Psilotreta falcula Botosaneanu, 1970.

The aim of this study is to analyze the emotion adjectives for light emitting diode(LED) light colors using a twofold adjective image scales from Kobayashi and I.R.I. A set of psychophysical experiments using category judgment was conducted in an LED light color simulation system, in order to evaluate each emotion scale coordinate for those test light colors in both adjective image scales. In total, 49 test light colors from a combination of 6 color series were assessed by 15 human observers. As a result, Kobayashi adjective image scale clearly expressed to emotion adjectives of 'Dynamic', 'Casual', 'Chic', 'Cool-casual', 'Modern', and 'Natural' for different hues. In contrast, I.R.I adjective image scale expressed only 2 adjectives of 'dynamic' and 'luxurious' for the all hues.

The aim of this paper is to prove the boundary behavior between the Caratheodory and Kobayashi-Royden metrics in a strongly pseudoconvex bounded domain with $C^2$-boundary in $\mathbb{C}^n$ and to show that the converse does not holds. S. Venturini([Ven]) proved the corresponding result with distances in place of the infinitesimal metrics.
