The direction of recent education literature points to the importance of creativity and creative practices, which also plays an important role in character education and has been recognized as being invaluable for the educational goals of the 21st century. As such, the goal of mathematics educators and researchers has also been on emphasizing the importance of building character and promoting creative practices. In this research, we study the pedagogical measures that can be easily implemented in classrooms to foster creative mathematical thinking and practices in students. In particular, the mathematical topic of interest is three-dimensional geometry, and especially polygons, and processes in which mathematical knowledge and creative practices play out in classrooms. For example, we explore how these creative lessons can be organized as the target internalization lessons, concepts definition lessons, regularity and relationship lessons, question posing lessons, and narrative story lessons. All of these lessons share three commonalities: 1) they require specific planning and execution challenges in order to achieve creative tasks, 2) they take advantage of open-ended problems, and 3) they are activity-oriented. Through this study, we hope to further our understanding on successful creative mathematical educational practices in the field of mathematics education, and help establish model lessons and materials for teachers and educators to use towards such goals.

Objectives : This study aimed to investigate both cancer patients' willingness to participate (WTP) in clinical trials and its associated factors. Methods : We searched MEDLINE (PubMed) for studies that had investigated cancer patients' WTP in clinical trials. Search terms included 'willingness to participate', 'cancer' and 'trial'. Studies published within the last five years up to July 26, 2016 were potentially eligible. Results : Of 44 initial hits, 14 studies (12 quantitative and 2 qualitative) were included. Two out of the 14 studies investigated WTP in an acupuncture trial. Study designs, such as WTP measurement methods, investigation settings, and type of cancer, varied. The proportion of participants with a WTP was widely distributed between the studies (median 48.6 %, range 11.1 % to 88.3 %). Factors associated with WTP included various socio-demographic factors, clinical factors, participants' knowledge/attitudes toward clinical trials, travel distance, information from physicians, and trust toward physicians. Conclusion : WTP and its associated factors were variable across the reviewed studies, which might be due to different research methods and contexts. Whether or not common factors associated with cancer patients' WTP in clinical trials exist remains unclear and thus warrants further research.

This paper examines the role of gender ideology in early British and American detective fiction focusing on the female detectives. Since a detective's attributes honor and idealize such traditionally masculine qualities as independence, intelligence, heroism, and bravery, the woman detective fiction has potentiality to operate against the established gender norms. The narratives about women in pursuit of justice and order through their criminal investigation can allow women to possess the masculine rationality and power. The subversive possibility inherent in the woman detective fiction is, however, contained by the representation of the female detectives and the negotiation through narratives. A female detective is represented either as unfeminine and thus unattractive and unlikeable or as desperate for survival. Her threatening potentiality is easily dismissed as that of an inadequate woman or a desperate one. The compromise in narratives is effected by the following three ways: first, a female detective is assigned to investigate crimes as an assistant to the male detectives; second, staying within the domestic sphere, she solves crimes by using her expert knowledge of the domestic service; and third, her detective narrative ends with the conventional marriage plot. Confining the female detectives within the conventional feminine roles and domains, the woman detective fiction supports and reestablishes the dominant gender ideology.

이 논문에서는 뇌졸중으로 인한 Broca 유형의 실어증 환자가 회복 초기와 회복이 진행됨에 따라 발화하는 서술어의 논항 구조적 속성이 정상 언어 집단의 서술어 분포와 어떻게 다르며, 또한 편으로는 전도 실어증 환자의 서술어 분포와는 어떻게 다른지 세 환자와, 조건이 비슷한 정상인의 자유 발화 산출 자료를 분석하여 비교한다. Broca 유형 실어증 환자가 발화하는 서술어 중에서 비대격 동사가 차지하는 비율을 언어간 비교해 본 결과, 영어 실어증 환자의 경우에는 계사가 아닌 비대격 동사에 심한 어려움을 겪어 거의 산출되어 못하는 것으로 나타난 반면(Kegl 1995), 한국어 실어증 환자의 경우에는 별다른 어려움을 겪지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대한 설명으로 영어의 비계사 비대격 구문에서는 d-구조와 s-구조 사이에서 동사에 상대적인 논항 이동이 일어나는 데 반해, 한국어에서는 격 부여라는 동기로 유발되는 그러한 논항 이동이 없거나, 설사 있더라도 공허하기(vacuous) 때문에 비문법적 실어증 환자들이 어려움을 느끼지 않으리라는 제안을 한다.

Cerebral palsy (CP) is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by motor and postural impairments caused by central nervous system dysfunction. It significantly impacts children's daily functioning and quality of life. Physical therapy is a crucial intervention for children with CP that aims to improve motor skills and functional abilities. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of holistic physical therapy approaches methods specifically designed for children with CP and examine recent research trends and their implications for optimizing outcomes in this population. This study employed a narrative review approach, conducting a comprehensive examination of the current literature pertaining to physical therapy methods for children with CP. The review encompassed studies exploring assessment techniques, evidence-based interventions, and innovative approaches in the field. It was discerned that encompassing physical therapy strategies, which encompass individualized treatment plans, evidence-based interventions, and the integration of innovative techniques, yield a favorable influence on the motor skills and functional capacities of children with CP. This review synthesizes the current knowledge on effective physical therapeutic strategies for children with CP. Furthermore, this review highlights the need for continued research and innovation in the field of pediatric physical therapy for CP.

칠레 작가 호세 도노소의 소설 『시골 저택』은 불확실하고 모호한 작품이다. 한편으로는 정치적 알레고리라는 성격을 지니고 있으며, 다른 한편으로는 메타픽션이라는 성격을 지니고 있기 때문이다. 일차적으로 『시골 저택』은 1973년 피노체트의 군부 쿠데타에 대한 알레고리로 읽을 수 있다. 그러나 이런 읽기는 작품을 지나치게 단순하게 이해하는 것이다. 실제로는 칠레 현대사를 넘어서 중남미 역사에서 일어난 변혁과 좌절의 연대기에 대한 문학적 초상화이다. 메타픽션으로서 『시골 저택』은 이런 문학적 초상화의 담론적 성격을 드러내고, 작품 바깥에 엄연히 존재하는 현실을 환기하고자 한다. 이로써 도노소는 암울한 현실의 비일상적인 성격, 한시적인 성격, 허구적인 성격을 드러내고자 한다.

본 연구는 한국 사회복지학 연구방법론에 대한 분석과 고찰을 통하여 질적 연구방법의 사회복지학에 대한 유용성을 논의하고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 사회복지학의 가장 대표적인 학술지인 "한국사회복지학"에 실린 학술논문 538편을 연구 방법론에 초점을 두고 분석한다. 분석 결과, 우리나라 사회복지학은 양적 연구방법에의 과도한 편향이 매우 극심한 상황인 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 1990년대 중반이 되면서 이러한 한계가 지적되어 질적 연구방법을 활용한 논문들이 등장하기 시작하는데, 엄밀성 측면에서 볼 때 방법의 적절성과 수준은 매우 제한적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 한국 사회복지학 연구방법론의 동향 분석과 함께 본 연구는 질적 연구방법의 특성과 유형을 정리하면서 한국 사회복지학과 질적 연구방법의 적합성(fitness) 즉 '질적 연구방법이 왜 필요한가' 그리고 '그 유용성은 무엇인가'를 중심으로 논의를 전개한다. 이러한 논의를 통하여 본 연구는 한국 사회복지학의 양적 연구방법에 편향된 상황에 대한 문제를 제기하며, 사회현상의 본질과 실재를 이해하기 위해서는 하나의 방법론이나 패러다임에 얽매이지 않고 사회과학의 많은 연구방법을 적절하게 활용하는 것이 매우 중요함을 제시한다.

본 연구는 의사소통의 관점에서 고도의 설득적 언어형식을 담은 광고콘텐츠의 암묵적 의미와 그 해석 과정을 의사소통 교육과 관련하여 논의하고 동시에 현대사회의 미디어 리터러시 교육을 위한 해석적 코드를 마련하는데 논의의 목적을 가진다. 성공적인 논의를 위해 필자는 특별한 목적을 구현하는 광고콘텐츠의 서사적 내용을 일반적인 대화행위로 가정하고, 내포된 암묵적 의미 표현에 대한 규칙성이 존재함을 새롭게 문제제기로 밝혔다. 또한 현 사회의 미디어 리터러시 교육이 올바르게 진행되기 위해선 선행연구의 의사소통의 원리로 암묵적 의미에 대한 언어적 해석을 지도할 수 없음을 밝혔다. 해결방안으로 사회 문화적 공유 지식과 인지가 필수적인 해석 코드임을 확인하였다. 확장된 논의를 위해 언어사용적인 면에서 특수한 목적을 지닌 광고미디어언어를 분석대상으로 하여 그 속에 나타난 암묵적 의미의 해석 과정을 검증하였다. 필자가 임의적으로 유형화시킨 암묵적 광고언어를 분석한 결과, 화자가 설득할 의도로 암묵화한 언어적 의미는 다양한 정보 및 인지효과에 의한 분석의 틀로 대부분 미디어 리터러시 교육으로 제공될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 즉 수용자들은 미디어 언어에 내재된 암묵적 의미를 해석해 나가는 과정 속에서 글자 그대로의 해석만을 수행하지 않아야 한다. 모국어 자료 및 자신의 배경지식, 사회문화적 관습, 일반적인 공통지식 등을 포함시켜 지도한다면 효율적인 미디어 리터러시 교육의 성과를 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

이 글에서는 '수필의 시대'로 평가되는 1960년대를 돌아보며 '수필'을 둘러싼 담론적 길항과 철학자의 글쓰기가 확장시켜낸 수필의 장르적 특성에 대해 조망하고자 하였다. 1960년대에 김형석, 안병욱, 김태길은 연세대, 숭실대, 서울대 철학 교수이자 다량의 수필집을 내는 작가로 활동했다. 그럼에도 이들에 대한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 그 이유는 일차적으로 수필 자체를 저평가하는 문학사 내부의 편견과 수필의 장르적 특성을 '문학적인 것'으로 한정하고자 하는 관행이 연동한 결과이다. 1960년대 수필이 풍미하게 된 것은 전쟁과 4.19를 거치며 개인의 경험과 사유를 객관화하고자 하는 민주주의적 요구가 근간에 깔려 있다. 철학자의 언어는 시민교양과 국민도덕이 부재하던 당대 독자들에게 1인칭 글쓰기의 다양한 감각으로 수용되었다. 김형석은 역사적 체험에 근거한 위로와 극복의 서사로, 안병욱은 민족주의에 근거한 자기 수양과 소명의 논리로, 그리고 김태길은 소시민의 삶을 객관화하는 성찰과 유머로 1950-60년대 공론장의 결락을 메웠다. 다만, 철학자의 수필이 당대의 공적 담론과 연동하지 못하면서 1970년대 시민교양을 촉발, 매개하는 데까지 나아가지 못했다. 그럼에도 1960년대 수필이 역사적으로 부상하는 지점에서 드러나 '수필' 장르의 특성과 이와 연동하며 풍미한 철학자의 언어가 지닌 문화사의 공과에 대해 생각해보고자 했다.

이 연구의 목적은 교직과정을 이수하는 교육대학원생의 심리적, 재정적 어려움으로부터 파생된 불안과 이들이 가진 교직에 대한 희망 사이의 갈등상황을 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위해 지구과학교육 전공 교육대학원생 3명을 연구 대상자로 선정해 내러티브 탐구기법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 첫째, 연구 참여자들의 심리적 불안에 영향을 주는 요소는 전공 지식의 부족, 멘토의 부족, 늦은 출발, 재정적 문제와 차별, 정보의 부족 등이다. 둘째, 연구 참여자는 자신의 삶은 가치가 있다는 인식, 학생들을 선하게 변화시킬 수 있다는 인식, 자신은 점점 발전하고 있다는 인식에서 희망을 얻는다. 셋째, 연구 참여자들은 자신이 가진 희망 요소에 의해 현 상황을 감내하고 있지만 어려움으로부터 파생된 불안과 교직으로 진출하고자 하는 희망 사이에서 심리적 갈등상황에 놓여 있다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 교직과정을 이수하는 교육대학원생의 수요를 바탕으로 정보의 수집 및 분석하여 그들의 요구를 충족시킬 수 있는 제도 개선이 필요하다. 둘째, 불안을 극복하지 못하는 교육대학원생들을 대상으로 심리상담 프로그램이 필요하다. 이 연구는 향후 현시점의 교육대학원이 현직 교사의 재양성에만 초점을 두지 않고 구성원 모두의 만족감을 높일 수 있는 방향을 제시함으로써 더 나은 교육대학원의 환경이 마련될 수 있길 기대한다.
