대학생들의 영양표시에 대한 지식, 태도 및 행동 조사에 관한 연구 (The Study of Knowledge, Attitudes, and Behaviors of University Students Regarding Nutritional Labeling)

  • This study investigated the knowledge, attitude, and behavior of 280 University students towards nutrition labels. The purpose of the study was to examine knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of university students regarding nutrition labeling, and whether body mass index (BMI) with nutrition labeling was associated with knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. Descriptive statistics analyzed knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of university students regarding food labeling. The ANOVA and ${\chi}^2$ analysis was evaluated and assessed for its relationship with BMI. Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis examined relationships between knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. More than 90 percent of answers relating to 11 nutritional knowledge questions were correct. Only 30% of participants answered correctly regarding questions about plan source oil and cholesterol content. Attitudes and behaviors of nutrition labels were significantly higher among participants who were obese (p<0.001). Knowledge score was positively correlated with general label usage behavior (r=.169, p<0.01), and item buying behavior (r=0.142, p<0.05). Attitude also was positively correlated with behavior (p<0.01). Nutrition labeling education efforts are needed to provide university students with a nutritional education program and information on how to read nutritional labels and apply this information to their lives. University students need to understand their need for numerous nutrients instead of merely focusing on the fat and calories of foods.

고등학교 수학 교사가 학생 지도에서 겪는 어려움 (Difficulties of High School Mathematics Teachers in Guiding Students)

  • 본 연구는 6개 시 도 36명의 고등학교 수학교사를 대상으로 학생 지도에서 겪는 어려움을 탐색하고, 교사의 성별, 직위별, 경력별로 어려움에 대한 인식의 차이가 있는지 확인하는 것이 목적이다. 그 결과 수업 요인 중 학생 지도에서 겪는 교사들의 어려움은 학생 평가, 교수 학습 방법 순으로 나타났으며, 교사 집단별 평균 차이 검증은 대체로 통계적으로 유의한 평균 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 수학 교과 내용학과 교육학이 학생 지도에 도움이 된 정도는 선행연구와 달리 두 가지 모두 다소 낮게 나타났다.

A Study on the Student Perception Survey to Improve the Quality of Field Practice

  • The purpose of this study was to propose ways to improve the library field practice of Department of Library and Information Science to improve the field environment and educational content, enhance students' field practice, increase efficiency, and increase students' satisfaction. To this end, a survey and interview survey were conducted on students who were going to do field training, and the results are as follows. First, students were well aware of what preparations should be made at school before going to field training. Second, students showed high awareness of their rights guarantees and requests for action in the event of problems at field training institutions. Third, students showed a high demand that field training should guarantee the minimum hourly wage. What is an issue in this regard is that policies that can satisfy both the burden of universities for continuous student guidance and evaluation, the burden of training institutions to conduct education while paying practical expenses, and the rights of students to be protected. This study was aimed at students, but it seems that realistic field practice policies should be presented from various angles as research on government ministries or university authorities is added.

물속에서의 무게와 압력에 대한 초등 교사의 교수 내용 지식 분석 (The Analysis of Elementary School Teachers' Pedagogical Content Knowledge on the Unit of "Weight and Pressure in Water")

  • The purpose of this study was to elucidate elementary school teachers' pedagogical content knowledge regarding the subject of "weight and pressure in water". 6 elementary teachers in charge of the 6th grade were selected for this study. The 7 hour lessons were observed over $15{\sim}20$ days, and a variety of data including scenarios, questionnaires for teachers, interviews of teachers were analyzed. As a result of this study, teachers who had long career histories thought that the purpose of teaching science was to teach the use of science principles, and teachers who had only taught for a relatively short time thought the purpose was satisfying students' curiosity. Most of the teachers felt that the science content knowledge related to buoyancy was insufficient. They had acquired most of the science content knowledge from teaming experiences in middle and high schools. The pre-service teacher education programs didn't help them to satisfactorily acquire the science content knowledge under analysis here. Most of the teachers taught the science lessons according to the order of sequence as shown in the science textbook. They didn't teach the contents that they thought were needed if they were not already included in the science textbook. Only one teacher who had taken science courses in high school managed the science classes freely according to his own thoughts and opinions. From the results of this research, it could be concluded that most elementary school teachers did not have enough pedagogical content knowledge to teach their students effectively.

교육실습을 통한 예비과학교사의 교수내용지식 분석 (An Analysis of Pre-service Science Teachers' Pedagogical Content Knowledge through the Student-Teacher Practice)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 예비과학교사의 교수내용지식을 분석하는 것이다. 이 연구를 위하여 두 명의 사범대학 4학년생들을 선정하였다. 연구의 자료는 인터뷰, CoRe 질문지, 교육실습기간의 수업관찰기록 등의 질적 연구방법을 통해 수집되었다. 자료 분석은 반복적 비교 분석법에 의하여 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 두 예비과학교사의 교수내용지식 수준은 매우 낮았다. 두 예비과학교사의 교육과정에 대한 지식은 서로 달랐으며, 과학 교수지향은 교육실습 기간 동안의 교수경험 후에 바람직하지 않은 방향으로 변화하였다. 두 예비과학교사의 내용지식은 매우 부족하였으며, 학생 이해에 대한 지식수준도 매우 낮았다.

도형 개념에 대한 교사 지식에 관한 연구

  • The study was planned to analyze the figure concepts teachers have according to the years of experiences based on the two aspects, the subject matter knowledge and the pedagogical content knowledge. Further, it aims to have the results utilized in teacher education and training, and ultimately to help elementary school students to establish the accurate figure concepts. We administered the test to the random sample of 77 elementary school teachers of the grade 3 to grade 6, from nine schools of the Daegu, Ulsan and Gyeongsangbuk-do districts, and we analyzed the results. Correlational analysis between the years of experience and the knowledge showed that the content understanding and knowledge decreases as the years of experience increases, while the experiential knowledge related to the understanding of the students and the pedagogical methods increases as the years of experience increases.

교과교육 방법적 지식과 컴퓨터교사의 전문성 (Pedagogical Content Knowledge and Professional Knowledge of Computer Teachers)

  • 컴퓨터교육의 영역을 교과내용학, 교과교육학, 그리고 컴퓨터활용교육으로 나눈다면, 컴퓨터교사의 지식은 교과내용에 대한 전문지식, 교과교육의 이해와 활용방법에 대한 지식을 주로 말한다. 그 중 교과교육학은 교수-학습을 위한 설계 및 운영과 평가를 말하는데, 본 논문에서는 교과교육학을 더 특성화된 지식으로 과목의 특성을 고려한 교과교육방법(PCK)을 살펴보자 한다. 교사교육에 대한 연구에 의하면 PCK에 대한 이해 정도와 교수능력은 학습자들의 학습효과와 밀접한 관계가 있다. 그러나 아직까지 우리나라의 컴퓨터교사의 지식과 PCK에 대한 연구는 아직 많지 않다. 수학교육과 음악교육이 효과적이기 위해서는 과목이 서로 다르게 접근되어야 하듯이 컴퓨터교육에서도 컴퓨터교과목의 특성과 방법적*상황적 지식을 포함하는 컴퓨터 교과교육방법적 지식(C-PCK)이 매우 중요하다고 본다. 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터교사의 전문지식의 하나로 C-PCK를 포함한 것을 제안하며, 앞으로 이어질 C-PCK에 대한 연구결과는 컴퓨터교육방법을 개선하고 컴퓨터교육의 정체성을 확보하는데 구심점이 되며, 예비교사양성과정에서 이론과 실제의 격차를 줄이는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

중학교 수학수업에 나타난 다양한 형태의 교사지식 분석 및 고찰 (Knowledge Variation of Teachers in Middle-School Mathematics Classrooms)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 중학교 교수내용지식이 수업을 통하여 어떻게 나타나는지 다양한 형태의 교사 지식을 분류하고 분석하는 것이다. 연구 결과, 연구에 참여한 두 명의 수학 교사의 지식은 유사하면서도 다른 구조의 형태를 띠고 있었다. 한 교사는 수학 내용 지식과 학생에 대한 지식을 더 많이 사용하는 것으로, 다른 교사는 교수적인 전략과 수학내용 지식을 더 많이 활용하는 것으로 나타났다.

Information Exchange of Library and Information Science Doctoral Students with Faculty Advisors

  • Faculty advisors play a vital role in a learning and adjustment process of doctoral students at their work, department, university and discipline by sharing and exchanging relevant information and knowledge in the profession. Despite the important role of information practice in doctoral advising, few studies have investigated the informational aspects of faculty advisors and their students. Thus, this study aims to consider the distribution of information exchanged between faculty advisors and their doctoral students and relate them to doctoral students' demographic characteristics (gender, age, race and/or ethnicity, degree, and stage of doctoral work). The findings of this study show that overall information exchange is most frequent at the work level followed by the discipline, school/department, and university levels. In particular, information exchange at the work and discipline levels explains the characteristics of doctoral education, socializing students into both student and professional roles. In addition, there are statistically significant differences in information exchange along certain dimensions according to the advisee's gender, age, race and/or ethnicity, degree, and stage of doctoral study, suggesting that information needs and seeking behavior may vary according to the demographic characteristics of advisees.

Professional Inclination of Library and Information Science (LIS) Students of India: A Study of Socioeconomic Background and Career Choice Factors

  • The purpose of the study is to assess the professional inclination, academic and social background, family status and their occupation, gender distribution, choice of work, and their perceptions of aspirant LIS students. The study examined the various career choice factors and sources of motivation that influence the students of LIS profession. The data has been collected from the 251 LIS students' enrolled five prominent universities of North India. The results indicate that majority of female students join the LIS profession because of employment opportunities. Most of the respondents are from rural areas, hails to middle class families and their educational background in Arts/Humanities and Social Science subjects. Majority of the respondents choose the LIS profession as primary career because for the better employment possibilities. The study recommends the public awareness about the LIS profession in India.
