간호 조직특성이 간호사의 지식공유에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Organizational Characteristics on Knowledge Sharing in a Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study is to identify the effect of organizational characteristics on knowledge sharing in a general hospital nurses. Method: The objects of this study were 358 nurses who had worked in a general Hospital. Data were collected from May, 3rd to May, 10th in 2004 through questionnaire. Five structured Instruments were used to collect the data. Result: The knowledge sharing of nurses was the positive correlation with openness of communication, learning orientation, the support of director of nursing department, and application of information technology(r=.431${\sim}$.611, p=.000). The degree of nurse's knowledge sharing showed a significant difference according to nurses' education level, duration of working, duty shift, working field, position in Hospital(p=.05). Openness of communication appeared into a most important predictor in knowledge sharing of Nurses, and then was learning orientation, the support of director of nursing department, application of information technology in order(p=.000). All of these variables explained 55.1% of knowledge sharing of nurses. Conclusion: To increase knowledge sharing of nurses, nursing organization will have to make up organization culture of opening communication and learning orientation of nurse, promote up the support of director of nursing department and application of information technology.

부산 지역 중.고등학생의 패스트푸드 이용 실태와 영양지식, 식생활 태도와의 관련성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Fast Food Consumption Patterns and Nutrition Knowledge, Dietary Attitude of Middle and High School Students in Busan)

  • This study was carried out to investigate fast food consumption patterns, nutrition knowledge, dietary attitude of middle and high school students in Busan. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 562 students from April 8 to April 22 in 2006. The results are summarized as follows. Convenience to eat is the best motive for visiting fast food restaurants. Nutrition knowledge scores of middle school male students were lower than those of the other groups. The more nutrition knowledge female students have, the lower fast food consumption became. There was no significant difference in nutrition knowledge and fast food consumption in male students. There was a significantly positive correlation between education levels of their parents and dietary attitude of the subjects(p<0.01). Pocket money showed a significantly negative correlation with dietary attitude and with fast food use frequency(p<0.05). There was a significantly positive correlation between nutrition knowledge and dietary attitude of the subjects. The use frequency of fast food showed a negative correlation with dietary attitude(p<0.01) and nutrition knowledge(p<0.05) of the subjects. Therefore, proper nutrition education is required to improve their nutritional status and dietary attitude.

119 구급대원의 중증도 분류 지식 정도 및 교육 전·후 비교 (Comparison of knowledge level of triage in 119 EMTs)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to provide appropriate direction for triage education by investigating the knowledge level of triage in 119 EMTs before and after the triage education. Methods : The questionnaire was filled out by newly assigned 33 EMTs in the fire service academy in I metropolitan city from November 1, 2013. The data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 21.0 program. Results : The lowest knowledge level by 119 triage was the potential emergency related question, but that by case-based triage was the semi-emergency related questions. The knowledge score by case-based triage before education was 51.14 points. This was lower than knowledge score by 119 triage, that is, 75.70 points. After education, the knowledge level by 119 triage was significantly improved(p =.000). However, there was no significant difference in the knowledge level by case-based triage(p =.236). Conclusion : It is necessary to provide systematic and periodic education and training for 119 EMTs toward triage to improve triage accuracy and efficient circulation of the emergency medical service system. Especially, it is very important to provide case-based triage education for field application.

의약품 관련 지식과 사용행태 연구 (Influences of Knowledge of Medicine on Medicine Utilization Behavior)

  • This study was conducted to provide basic data for development of public information program and public policy which could prevent the medicine abuse in Korea, examining the level of knowledge of medicine and its related factors. Data were collected from the 2,011 residents who live in mtropolitan cities, large-sized cities, small and medium cities, and small towns The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) In case of purchasing of medicines in pharmacy, 67.3% of the respondents chose the medicines through recommendations of the professionals such as pharmacists and doctors, while 32.7% of the respondents chose the medicine through self-judgement, advertizing, or recommendation of relative. 2) 64.7% of the respondents obtained the information on medicines through TV. It appeared to be higher in the groups of female of the twenties, the unmarred, a brother and sister threesome, highschool graduates, housewives, residents in small and medium cities, atheists, and the middle class, displaying the significant difference from the other groups. 3) 40.5% of the respondents recognized the side effect of the medicine when they took the medicine, while 34.4% did not recognize it. The rate of experience in the side effect was 39.7%. The informations on the medicine abuse and the risk of addiction were obtained through broadcast media (47.9%), publications (12.1%), and health professionals (11.6%). 4) 81.1% of the respondents experienced taking of the fatigue relieving medicine. The experience in taking of the fatigue relieving medicine appeared to be higher in the groups of the forties. the married. a brother and sister threesome. highschool graduates. persons engaging in farming, livestock raising, and forestry, the residents in small towns, and Christians. Each group displayed the significant difference from the other groups. 5) According to the level of knowledge of medicines, the respondents marked average 11.7 ± 3.76 points on the base of 24 points. It appeared to be higher in the groups of female of the twenties, a brother and sister foursome, college graduates, teachers, Catholics, and the middle class, displays the significant difference from the other groups. 6) According to the experience in taking of health medicine and health food, 81.1% of respondents had the experience in taking ‘the fatigue relieving medicine’; 72.4% ‘carrot or vegetable juice’; 69.5% ‘ginseng’; 63.0% ‘mushroom’; 42.5% ‘dog meat’; 38.0% ‘aloe’; 36.4 ‘deer antlers’; 11.4% ‘snake’; 2.0% ‘the penis of a fur seal’. 7) The factors influencing the level of knowledge of medicine include experiences in taking of the tonic, the fatigue relieving medicine, and the nutritive medicine, economic status, the number of brothers and sisters, education level, marital status, father's education level, and age. The factors influencing the experience in side effect of medicine are experiences in taking of the fatigue relieving medicine, the nutritive medicine, and the tonic, sex, age, education level, father's education level, marital status, economic status, religion, and the number of brothers and sisters. In conclusion, it is estimated that the level of knowledge of medicines is significantly low in Korea. Especially, it is found out that workmen, students, the upper class, the class of low education level, and persons engaging in farming, livestock raising, and forestry neglect importance of knowledge of medicine. Therefore, it is necessary for public authority, associations related, and health professionals to develop programs for public information and education to help people obtain basic knowledge of medicine.

Usage of Library Collection, Services & Assistance Among Ophthalmologists - An Opinion Survey

  • Accurate and reliable Information improves decision making, reduces costs, and saves time. The ophthalmic Libraries supply quality ophthalmic information to the ophthalmologists to serve the patients in a better way and stimulate the growth of ophthalmic field. This paper aims to study the usage of library collection, services and assistance among the Ophthalmologists - Eye Doctors in India. A survey method is used to obtain the ophthalmologists' usage of library collection, services and assistance. Through convenient sampling method, a structured questionnaire is circulated to the ophthalmologists in India and 633 ophthalmologists are responded. Among the 633 ophthalmologist, 82.15% of the ophthalmologists use the library collection - book. 73.46% of the ophthalmologists use the online data / journals. 89.73% of the ophthalmologists seek assistance to locate books/articles/documents. There exists a significant difference between the ophthalmologists use of Library Service and gender (p value 0.001**). There exists a significant difference between the ophthalmologists use of Library Assistance / help and designation category (p value 0.000**). There exists a significant difference between the ophthalmologists use of Library Assistance / help and working experience (p value 0.017**). There exists a significant difference between Library Services (p value 0.009**), Library Assistance / help (p value 0.000**) and institution type. The study results will help the ophthalmic libraries to serve the user better.

회계정보시스템의 활용에 따른 정보 만족도에 관한 실태분석 (An Empirical Study on the Information Satisfaction by use with Accounting Information System)

  • Today's firms are experiencing severe competition and lots of change under uncertainty of the future. In order to survive in rapidly changing environment, companies have steadily adopted information technology(IT) environment. The advancement of information technology allows people to access information and knowledge resources without the limitation of time and location through internet. Many organizations have developed their own information systems not only for internal efficiency but also for effectiveness of external customer services. This study is intended to provide a theoretical framework of information and knowledge and their relationship, that the infusion of powerful information networks into business environments is beginning to have a profound a significant difference of the nature between information satisfaction and accounting information system(AIS) in the business activity. This paper is to maximize the efficiency of university libraries human resources management by determining the followings the relationship between the level of information technology implement and the job satisfaction of the librarian, the main factors that affect job satisfaction. Questionnaire was sent to 120 companies from 20 corporations chosen by random sampling and the methods of ANOVA, T-test, and correlation analysis were used. The results of the analysis are as follows; 1) There is a unsignificant difference in the level of information satisfaction by accounting information system and the motivation factor according to the level of implementation of IT. 2) There is a relatively high in a significant difference in information satisfaction by the level of net income. 3) There is high a significant difference is shown in the accounting years while implementing the IT and information satisfaction.

보건소간호사와 보건진료전담공무원의 문화역량 및 문화간호역량 교육요구 비교 (Difference in the Cultural Competency and Cultural Nursing Competence Educational Needs of Public Health Nurses and Community Health Practitioners)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of cultural competency and cultural nursing competence educational needs of public health nurses (PHNs) and community health practitioners (CHPs) and to uncover the difference between the two groups. Methods: The subjects of this study were 217 PHNs and 165 CHPs. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, an independent two-sample t-test, the x2 test, one-way ANOVA, and the Scheffé test were used for data analysis. Result: There was no statistically significant difference between the cultural competency of CHPs (4.27±1.00) and that of PHNs (4.10±1.07) which were at a moderate level. Among the subareas, cultural awareness and sensitivity were above average, but cultural skills and knowledge showed relatively low scores. There was no statistically significant difference between the cultural nursing competence educational needs of CHPs (3.85±0.65) and PHNs (3.90±0.70) and these were at a relatively high level. Among the subareas, knowledge of key concepts, cultural communication, and attitudes and skills were above average. Conclusion: The results of this study highlight the need to develop and implement educational programs to enhance the cultural competency of PHNs and CHPs nationwide using various teaching-learning methods.

기본간호학 실습교육에서 비디오 녹화학습의 효과연구 - 근육주사 실습교육을 중심으로 - (Effectiveness of Video-Record Method on Fundamental Nursing Skill Education - Focused on Intramuscular Injection Practice -)

  • Effectiveness of the videotaped-record learning method in teaching intramuscular injection skill was investigated using an experimental research methodology. Data was collected from 57 female students attending Fundamental nursing class from two depts. of nursing in Chung-ju and Seoul. The subjects were assigned to two groups, the experimental group of 30 and the control group of 27. The independent variable was videotaped-record learning method and the dependent variable were the degree of knowledge achivement, nursing skill achivement, competence on practicing intramuscular injection skill and satisfaction about the learning method. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, chi-square test, t-test and Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSS-PC program. The results were summarized as follows ; 1. There was statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in knowledge achievement about intramuscular injections (t=4.721, P=.000). 2. There was statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in nursing skill achievement(t=3.542, P=.001). 3. There was no statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in competence on practicing intramuscular injection skill (t=.627, P=.533). 4. There was statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in satisfaction about learning method(t=4.708, P=.000). 5. There was significant correlation between nursing skill achievement and knowledge achievement(r=.233, p<.05). In conclusion, this study suggests that videotaped-record learning method is an effective learning method for achieving intramuscular injection skill as a basic nursing skills. Therefore, further study with more developed research design and other fundamental nursing skill practice will be needed to investigate the effectiveness of videotaped-recored learning method.

치위생과 학생 및 비치위생과 학생의 구강건강 인식에 관한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Knowledge of Oral Health between Dental Hygiene Students and Non-dental Hygiene Students)

  • 현 대학생의 구강보건에 관한 기본적인 지식과 관심 및 치위생과 및 비치위생과 학생의 구강건강인식을 비교 분석할 목적으로 2006년 6월부터 2007년 5월까지 조사를 실시하고, 비교 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 구강보건에 관한 인식도를 살펴본 결과, 치위생과 학생의 구강보건 지식경로는 학교수업이 80.0%로 가장 많았고, 비치위생과 학생들의 경우에는 TV 또는 라디오의 건강프로그램이 42.7%로 가장 많았다. 구강위생을 유지해야 하는 이유에 대해서는 치위생과 학생들의 경우에는 치아우식증 예방이라고 응답한 경우가 80.9%로 가장 많았고, 비치위생과 학생들의 경우에는 치주질환 예방이 52.4%로 가장 많았으며, 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < 0.001). 2. 치아우식증에 관한 인식도를 살펴본 결과, 치아우식증 예방법에 대해서는 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생들 모두 규칙적인 잇솔질이 가장 많았고, 치아우식증의 발생원인에 대해서는 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생들 모두 불충분한 잇솔질이 가장 높은 빈도를 나타냈으며, 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < 0.001). 3. 불소에 관한 인식도에 대해 살펴본 결과, 불소인지 여부에 대해 치위생과 학생들은 불소를 알고 있는 경우가 93.6%로 나타났고, 비치위생과 학생들은 55.3%로 나타났으며, 불소의 치아우식 예방인지 여부에 대해 치위생과 학생들은 예방할 수 있다고 응답한 경우가 85.5%로 가장 많았고, 비치위생과 학생들은 잘 모르겠다가 51.0%로 가장 많았으며, 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < 0.001). 4. 구강건강상태에 대한 인식도에 대해 살펴본 결과, 본인의 치아 상태에 대하여 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생들 모두에서 보통이라고 응답한 경우가 가장 많았으며, 본인의 치아건강에 대한 관심도에 대해서는 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생들 모두에서 "조금 있다"라고 응답한 경우가 가장 많았고, 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < 0.001). 본인의 치아우식 발생 원인에 대해 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생들 모두에서 불충분한 잇솔질, 당분 과다섭취 순으로 나타났다. 5. 구강진료의 인식도에 대해 살펴본 결과, 진료 시의 동통에 대해서는 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생들 모두에서 견딜만한 정도와 극도로 아프다 순으로 나타났으며, 치과 진료시의 어려움에 대해서는 치위생과 학생들과 비치위생과 학생들 모두에서 비용, 두려움, 시간 순으로 나타났으며, 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p < 0.01). 치과방문 시의 느낌에 대해서는 치위생과 학생과 비치위생과 학생들 모두에서 다소걱정이다, 두렵다 순으로 나타났다.

Perceived Health Knowledge and Health Education Needs Associated with Child Health Behaviors : A Survey of Some Elementary School Students in Seoul

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to describe child perceived health knowledge, health education needs, and health behaviors by sex as a representative general characteristic and examined their associations for students' better health behavior changes. Methods: The survey participants were 410 fourth to sixth grade students in two elementary schools in Seoul, Korea. A total of 12 classes in two elementary schools were randomly selected and all students of the selected classes participated in the self-administered survey. The questionnaire contained the items of perceived health knowledge, health education needs (health topics which they want to know more), health behavior, and general characteristics. Results: Perceived health knowledge, health education needs, and health behaviors were, generally, better among girls than boys. Sexual differences were not large in perceived health knowledge, health education needs, health behaviors. Perceived health knowledge had significant positive correlation with health behaviors both in boys and girls(p <.01). The correlation between perceived health knowledge and health behaviors(r =.36) was two fold greater than correlation between health education needs and health behaviors(r =.18) among boys; where as the two correlations were similar to each other among girls. The significant factors were perceived health knowledge, sex, grade, and health education needs in order, and the four factors described health behaviors in 21.0%. The higher perceived health knowledge, girls, lower grade, and more health education needs was associated with the better health behaviors. Conclusions: There was significant sexual difference of the relationship between health knowledge, health education needs, and health behaviors among children. Perceived health knowledge was more important factor to improve health behaviors among boys while perceived health knowledge and health education needs had equal importance on health behaviors among girls. Therefore, knowledge building should be an essential part of health education class goals for building better health behaviors.
