  • Anyone observes that information processing in animal brains is depended on neural networks. On the other hand, engineering models for the neural networks are well known now, and they have been studied, and learning facility is found in the model. We are sure there is a potential in order to create a non Neuman-machine in the engineering models. We studied iteration forms including the engineering neural network models, taking a first step for the creation.

  • We in this paper study the complete convergence and almost surely convergence for arrays of rowwise pairwise negatively dependent(ND) random variables (r.${\upsilon}$.'s) which are dominated randomly by some random variables and obtain a result dealing with complete convergence of linear processes.

  • We discuss the strong convergence for weighted sums of linearly negative quadrant dependent(LNQD) random variables under suitable conditions and the central limit theorem for weighted sums of an LNQD case is also considered. In addition, we derive some corollaries in LNQD setting.

  • This paper proposes that it minimizes interference between link at high speed trajectory tracking of 2-degree parallel link manipulator and QFT(Quantitative Feedback Theory) controller which robust structure uncertainty and disturbance of plant. And using ICD(Individual Channel Design), it separates two channel from multivariable system, parallel link manipulator and designs robust controller with applying MISO QFT to each channel. Finally, we make sure of robustness and excellence of QFT controller through simulation and experiment.

  • When a failure or fault is detected, the product is adjusted or design change and is returned to its original condition before the failure or fault. Continuous improvement of the FMEA system is to determine an optimum product reliability that minimizes the total cost per unit time associated with inspection, repair, and the nondetection cost.

  • Objectives: Ginseng, Panax ginseng C. A., white ginseng, has been used for thousands of years in Traditional Korean Medicine. Red ginseng can be made by a steaming process of white ginseng changing a variety of ginsenosides and ingredients such as dencichine. This article reviews red ginseng for mechanisms for pharmacodynamics and toxicity based on the content of ginseng's active ingredients, ginsenoside changed by steaming. Methods: The following electronic databases were searched: PubMed, Science Direct and Chinese Scientific Journals full text database (CQVIP), and KSI (Korean Studies Information) from their respective inceptions to June 2012. Results: Compared with unsteamed ginseng, the content of ginsenosides Rg2, Rg3, Rg5, Rh1, Rh2 and Rk1 called red ginseng-specific ginsenosides increased after the steaming process. Different ginsenosides have shown a wide variety of effects such as lowering or raising blood sugar and blood pressure or stimulating or sedating the nervous system. Especially, the levels of Rg2, Rg3, Rg5, Rh1, Rh2 and Rk1 were increased by the steaming process, showing a variety of pharmacodynamics in biological systems. Also, various processing methods such as puffing and fermentation have been developed in processing crude ginseng or red ginseng, affecting the content of ginseng's ingredients. The safety issue could be the most critical, specifically, on changed ginseng's ingredients such as dencichine. The level of dencichine was significantly reduced in red ginseng by the steaming process. In addition, the possible toxicity for red ginseng was affected by cytochrome P450, a herbal-drug interaction. Conclusions: The variety of pharmacological and toxicological properties should be changed by steaming process of Panax ginseng C. A., white ginseng. Even if it is not sure whether the steaming process of white ginseng would be better pharmacologically, it is sure that steaming reduces the level of dencichine causing a lower toxicity to the nervous system.

  • A stochastic fundamental duel with continous interfiring times is considered for including the kill effect of multiple hits and fixed duel time. Two alternatives, 'vital hit' and 'damage coefficient' approaches, are developed. Since a large quantity of ammunition is consumed when a sure kill is obtained through repetitive multiple hits, limitation of initial ammunition supply is included in the stochastic duel models with multiple hits and fixed duel time. General solutions are obtained and examples with negative exponential interfiring times and geometric ammunition supply are given.
