  • The object of present note is to give a very short proof of Stirling's formula which uses only a formula for the generalized zeta function. There are several proofs for this formula. For example, Dr. E. J. Routh gave an elementary proof using Wallis' theorem in lectures at Cambridge ([5, pp.66-68]). We can find another proof which used the Maclaurin summation formula ([5, pp.116-120]). In [1], they used the Central Limit Theorem or the inversion theorem for characteristic functions. In [2], pp. Diaconis and D. Freeman provided another proof similarly as in [1]. J. M. Patin [7] used the Lebesgue dominated convergence theorem.

  • Three types of infant food were experimentally prepared based on the average caloric requirement for, Koreans : Formula A, with 1/3 RDA for 4-6 month, formula B, with 1/2 RDA for 7-9 month, and formula C, with 2/3 RDA for 10-12 month old infants. Into each formula was added approximately 50% of rice. Analysis of the nutritive values on these formula showed no deviance Com the expected values in case of general nutrients while the percent of essential amino acids in protein was muck higher except methionine. Since iron content was found to be below the half of except values, a sufficient amount of iron as required in RDA should be additionally supplied, for example, in iron drops. The infant preference test on each formula showed much favorable acceptability : 50% of them responded as moderate, 33.3% as favorable, 12.5% as disliking, and 4.2% as disgusting. The test also showed no noticeable change in both feces and appetite.

  • The aim of this study is investigated greenhouse gas emissions of glass industry, and when calculates greenhouse gas emission, using formula(Tier 3) advising in IPCC(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and using self designed formula(Tier 3+) authors of this study. Studied to propose calculation formula that can compare these two calculation results and apply to domestic. Formula of Tier 3 calculated to theoretical composition of carbonate material, And Formula of Tier 3+ calculated on the basis of chemical substance formation table that get from glass manufacture company(The S company). As a result, Dolomite, Soda ash, Limestone, Industrial Barium carbonate is calculated value of Tier 3+ lower than value of Tier 3, And Industrial Potassium carbonate, Industrial Strontium carbonate was calculated value of Tier 3 lower than value of Tier 3. This study finding, formula of Tier 3+ has higher confidence than formula of Tier 3 when consider revision about purity of injection raw material. And hereafter, When calculate greenhouse gas emissions about nonmetallic mineral industry, use of Tier 3+ is considered that should be encouraged.

  • We will introduce and study the notion of prime bases for weakly prime submodules and utilize them to derive some formulas on the weak radical of submodules of a module. In particular, we will show that every one dimensional integral domain weakly satisfies the radical formula and state some necessary conditions on local integral domains which are semi-compatible or satisfy the radical formula and also on Noetherian rings which weakly satisfy the radical formula.

  • Purpose: Many doctors have difficulty in deciding the treatment duration in trauma patients to write in the casualty medical certificate. We tried to find a solution for this problem by using abbreviated injury scale (AIS). Methods: A total of 39 patients treated in our regional trauma center who requested an author to write treatment duration on casualty medical certificate from January 2014 to April 2017 were included. And the treatment duration was decided based on the PARK Formula (AIS). PARK Formula $(AIS)=(AIS{\times}2){\sim}([AIS{\times}2]+2)$ Results: Among 39 patients included and 36 (92.3%) had treatment duration on casualty medical certificate within the range of treatment duration calculated by PARK Formula (AIS). Compared to the PARK Formula (AIS), the mean value was 0.13 week (0.90 day) smaller. Comparing the treatment duration between Korean Medical Association (KMA) guideline and PARK Formula (AIS), only 22 patients (56.4%) showed agreement. The mean value was 1.02 week (7.18 days) smaller in KMA guideline. Conclusions: For the decision of the treatment duration in trauma patients, utilizing worldwide used AIS scoring system is very efficient. Using PARK Formula (AIS), doctors can document the treatment duration in the casualty medical certificate with ease. KMA should provide more practical 'treatment duration of each diagnosis in writing casualty medial certificate' for the doctors. We recommend PARK Formula (AIS) as a good alternative for KMA guide.
