These subjects were selected from among juvenile delinquent between 14 to 20 years age who were entrusted from court to the Juvenile Protection Education Institute located in G area. 12 people were randomly assigned each experimental domain and control domain; experimental group was implemented group art therapy with ceramics whereas there was anything to control group. The program was designed once a week and 90minutes each 12 sessions. The result of this study show that control group at variable related aggression was not significantly changed at posttest. In case of experimental group, here was significantly changed as a whole, also sub factor such as physical aggression showed considerable change so that the first hypothesis was supported In addition, experimental group showed the considerable change at sub factor of motor impulsiveness so that the second hypothesis was supported whereas control group at impulse variable was not significantly changed during pretest and posttest. This study results conclude that the juvenile delinquent participating group art therapy with ceramics represents the effect on reduction of aggression and motor impulsiveness. We expect this result will be used as further base line data for juvenile delinquent.

  • The current juvenile law has to be improved in the following respects: First, there is no clear and objective basis for the process divided into criminal and protective dispositions. Second, the spirit of legislation to protect the boy is understandable, but when reviewing the application process of the juvenile law to actual juvenile crimes, it is hard to find such spirit. Third, in dealing with juvenile protection cases, the outcome and process of disposal should be reflected in the boy's protection ideology. Finally, efforts should be made to shorten the processing period of the case, curb the transfer of violent criminals to juvenile detention center, and integrate the latter part of the first and sixth disposition.

The experimental group was given 14 group music therapy session for 90 minutes each, two times a week, and the control group was not given any. Emotional stabilisation and the Self-Efficacy scores for each adolescent was compared before and after the experiment. Statistical methods used for data analysis were mean, the standard deviation, and the ANCOVA. Results are as follows. The experimental group was significantly increased in emotional stabilisation compared with the control group. The experimental group was significantly decreased in aggressive behavior compared and in stress compared with the control group. The experimental group was significantly increased in self-efficacy compared, in self-confidence compared and in self control efficacy compared with the control group. These results suggest that group music therapy are positive effects on improving the emotional stabilisation and the Self-Efficacy of juvenile delinquents.

  • Taking the perspective of children's welfare, this study aimed at critically analyzing the system of notification disposition which institutionalized children have experienced. Notification disposition is a juvenile justice process that, when a child (10 th 18 years old ) has been delinquent or is at risk for delinquency, is initiated without investigation or prosecution procedures by direct notification to a judge from the caregivers, school principals, chief probation officers, or directors of child care institutions. The data used in the analysis included case records of probation offices, and court sentencing documents of juvenile protective dispositions. Results showed that notification cases were initiated by directors of child shelters/care institutions. The most common reasons of notification were theft, runaway, physical violence, drinking, and smoking. Furthermore, there were more controversial reasons, such as "bad influence on another institutionalized children", "showing no remorse", "no sense of guilt"and "challenge of rearing in institutions" Based on the results, we discussed three problematic aspects of the direct notification system by directors of childcare institutions : (1) too much reliance on the judicature judgment of juvenile court; (2) less stability of the judicial status of notified children, and (3) inadequacies of the notifying eligibility for directors of child care institutions.

  • While there is growing evidence regarding the subgroup-sensitive nature of risk factors among delinquent adolescents, researchers have paid little attention to the tracking of risks and needs by subgroups (e.g., gender, ethnicity, and the timing of onset for delinquency) among youth who are currently involved in the juvenile court system. Therefore, greater empirical attention directed toward subgroup-sensitive risk factors experienced by delinquent adolescents is thought to be both timely and necessary. A final convenience sample of 2167 court-involved adolescents in the US was used to specify subgroup-sensitive risks and needs. The results demonstrated that there were various levels of risks according to subgroups associated with gender, ethnicity, and onset for delinquency group. The findings of this study add to the extant literature on delinquency by demonstrating the importance of considering subgroups associated with gender, ethnicity, and the timing of onset for delinquency when practicing treatment or intervention programs with delinquent adolescents.

  • There are two categories of online crimes related to children and adolescents: those committed by adolescents and those committed against children and adolescents. While recent trends in criminal law show consensus on strengthening punishment in cases of crimes against children and adolescents, there are mixed stances in cases of juvenile delinquency. One perspective emphasizes strict punishment, whereas the other emphasizes dispositions aligned with human rights. While various forms of online crime share the commonality in that the main part of the criminal act occurs online, they can be categorized into three types: those seeking financial gain, those driven by sexual motives, and those engaged in bullying. Among these, crimes driven by sexual motives are the most serious. Second-hand trading fraud and conditional (sexual) meeting fraud fall under the category of seeking financial gain and occur frequently. Crimes driven by sexual motives include obscenity via telecommunication, filming with discrete cameras, child and adolescent sexual exploitation material, fake video distribution, and blackmail/coercion using intimate images/videos ("sextortion"). These crimes lead to various legal issues such as whether to view vulgar acronyms or body cams that teenagers frequently use as simple subcultures or crimes, what criteria should be applied to judge whether a recorded material induces sexual desire or shame, and at what stage sexual grooming becomes punishable. For example, sniping posts, KakaoTalk prisons, and chat room explosions are tricky issues, as they may or may not be punished depending on the case. Particular caution should be exercised against the indiscriminate application of a strict punishment-oriented approach to the juvenile justice system, which is being discussed in relation to online sexual offenses. In the punishment case of online crime, juvenile offenders with a high potential for future improvement and reform must be treated with special consideration.

  • While the United States and Japan have non-government film rating system, Korea and France are still maintaining governmental control process. But the restrict showing rate in Korea does possibly violate the Constitution with no theatre for the movies of that rate right now. No other visual media including broadcasting have any outer classification process before their showing. So we need to improve our system by replacing it with non-governmental system. To establish independent non-government rating system, first of all, the major companies of film industry should get together to set up Korean Classification and Rating Association, to support the Film Rating Board. The most important thing is that the board operates independently. Government can support art cinemas financially with rating fee. Juvenile protection groups have to keep watch on the process of the board going fairly as well. The chief obstacle for non-governmental rating system is the fact that major companies don't want to get it. But continuing efforts to find any rational way is worthy enough.
