편향하중 조건 보행시 인체의 적응 작용에 대한 분석 (Joint moments and muscle forces during walking with sided load as one of activities of daily living)

  • The trunk is inclined to the loaded side when carrying an object as one of activities of daily living. As the reaction to this behavior the human body may be inclined to his/her trunk to unloaded side. The present study investigated the biomechanical effects of weight variation for sided load carriage during walking upon joint moments and muscle torques, through the tracker agent and joint driving dynamic analysis. To perform the experiment one male was selected as subject for the study. Gait analysis was performed by using a 3D motion analysis system. Thirty nine 14mm reflective markers, according to the plug-in marker set, were attached to the subject. We used BRG.LifeMOD(Biomechanics Research Group, Inc., USA), for skeletal modeling and inverse and joint driving dynamic simulation during one gait cycle. In walking with a sided load carriage, the subject modeled held the carriage with the right hand, which weighed 0, 5, 10, 15kg, 20kg respectively. The result of this simulation showed that knee and hip in the coronal plane were inclined to the loaded side and loaded side had larger moments as the sided load carriage was increased. On the other hand thoracic and lumbar in the coronal plane had larger negative values as the sided loaded carriage was increased. The thoracic and lumbar in the transverse plane also had larger values as the sided load was increased. And the several muscles of loaded side were increased as increasing sided load. It could be concluded that human body is adopted to side loaded circumstances by showing more biologic force. These results could be very useful in analysis for delivery motion of daily life.

최소침습술을 위한 고관절 메커니컬 스템의 개발 (Development of Hip Joint Mechanical Stem for Minimally Invasive Surgery)

  • 고관절 전치환술은 대퇴골두와 비구 부분이 손상되어 제 기능을 하지 못하였을 때, 인공 고관절로 대체하는 수술로서 인체에는 많은 양의 절개를 필요로 하며 장기간의 회복시간과 재활시간을 필요로 한다. 최소침습술은 환자에게 흉터와 근육절개를 최소화하고, 회복시간을 단축하여 미관상 흉터가 적어 가장 선호되는 수술 방법이다. 이 논문에서는 최소침습술이 가능한 메커니컬 스템(Mechanical stem)을 기어의 원리를 이용하여 개발하였다. 재치환술을 할 경우에는 스템 전체를 교체할 필요 없이 일부 부품만을 교체하여 수술 시간을 단축할 수 있도록 설계하였으며, 아크릴 소재로 모형을 제작하여 작동에 문제가 없는 것을 확인하였다. 3D Bio-CAD 모델링 기법을 통하여 메커니컬 스템의 기하학적 모델링을 하였다. 실험 대상자의 고관절 부위는 컴퓨터 단층촬영 영상데이터를 기반으로 3차원 재구축을 하였고, 가상 시술 환경 조건에서 몸무게보다 더 과중한 하중을 적용하여 메커니컬 스템의 안전성을 유한요소해석으로 확인하였다.

축약법에 의한 구조물 결합부의 동적 거동 예측 (Dynamical Predictions of the Structural Connection by the Reduced Approach)

  • 기계 구조물에서 부재의 결합부가 시스템 전체의 동적 거동에 매우 심각한 영향을 미치고 있다. 따라서 동적인 응답의 정확한 예측은 이러한 결합부를 어떻게 모델링 하느냐에 달려 있다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 본 논문에서는 결합부의 유연성을 정량적으로 표현하기 위하여 서로 대칭이고 마주보는 외팔보의 중앙에 선형 및 비틀림 스프링을 결합부에 이식하였다. 이를 바탕으로 결합부의 강성 변화에 따른 시스템의 재해석은 축약법과 유한요소법으로 계산하였다. 이항 급수로 표현되는 기저 벡터의 수에 따라서 전체 모델의 크기는 획기적으로 감소되어 축약 모델로 매우 짧은 시간에 효율적으로 계산할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 두 가지 경우의 수치해석 예가 제시되어 축약 모델의 결과가 정밀해와 잘 일치함을 보여주고 있다.

  • In general, the most important problem in slope stability analysis is that there is no definite way to describe the natural three-dimensional Joint network. Therefore, the many approaches were tried to anlayze the slope stability. Numerical modeling approach is one of the branch to resolve the complexity of natural system. UDEC, FLAC, and SWEDGE are widely used commercial code for the purpose on stability analysis. For the purpose on the more appropriate application of these kind of code, however, three-dimensional distribution of joint network must be identified in more explicit way. Remaining problem is to definitely describe the three dimensional network of joint and bedding, but it is almost impossible in practical sense. Three dimensional joint generation method with random number generation and the results of generation to UDEC have been applied to settle the refered problems in field site. However, this approach also has a important problem, and it is that joint network is generated only once. This problem lead to the limitation on the application to field case, in practical sense. To get rid of this limitation, Monte Carlo Simulation is proposed in this study 1) statistical analysis of input values and definition of the applied system with statistical parameter, 2) instead of the consideration of generated network as a real system, generated system is just taken as one reliable system, 3) present the design parameters, through the statistical analysis of ouput values Results of this study are not only the probability of failure, but also area of failure block, shear strength, normal strength and failure pattern, and all of these results are described in statistical parameters. The results of this study, shear strength, failure area, pattern etc, can provide the direct basement on the design, cutoff angle, support pattern, support strength and etc.

  • Fundamental failure mode in a laminated composite pinned joint is proposed to assess damage resulting from stress concentration in the plate. The joint area is a region with stress concentrations thus a complicated stress state exists. The modeling of damage in a laminated composite pinned joint presents many difficulties because of the complexity of the failure process. In this study, the effect on the bearing strength of the pin jointed Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) composites for magnet support structure of KSTAR tokamak with various parameters such as edge distance to diameter, width to diameter, and the temperature of $23^{\circ}C$, $-76^{\circ}C$, and $-196^{\circ}C$ was examined by comparing the experimental results with finite element analysis.

Z-Quality 강재 적용에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the application for Z-Quality steel)

  • The rolled carbon steel plate has anisotropic property in Z-direction(thickness direction). This is induced by cooling rate difference of Z-direction and sulfur which make non-metallic inclusion(MnS) at center line of thickness direction. Z-directional mechanical properties of normal steel plate are not generally specified and it is defined for Z-Quality steel only through tensile test in Z-direction. If Z-quality steel is not applied for cruciform joint, the lamella tearing will be occurred by tensile stress after welding & during operation of the structure. In this research, one equation estimating Z-directional(orthogonal to plate) stress was developed to prevent lamella tearing by welding. This equation deals with plate thickness & joint configuration(eccentricity, angle and curvature). Analyses were done by strain boundary method using sectional FE modeling and FE 3D models are also used for some cases. Designers can predict the possibility of lamella tearing by adequately applying the result and can appropriately minimize the application of Z-quality steel by revising welding design to some extent.

  • Recently, board level solder joint reliability performance of IC packages during drop impact becomes a great concern to semiconductor and electronic product manufacturers. The handheld electronic products are prone to being dropped during their useful service life because of their size and weight. The IC packages are susceptible to solder joint failures, induced by a combination of printed circuit board (PCB) bending and mechanical shock during impact. The board level drop testing is an effective method to characterize the solder joint reliability performance of miniature handheld products. In this paper, applying the JEDEC (JESD22-B111) standard present a finite element modeling of the FBGA. The simulation results revealed that maximum stress was located at the outermost solder ball in the PCB or IC package side, which consisted well with the location of crack initiation observed in the failure analysis after drop reliability tests.

단면 겹치기 접착 조인트의 충돌해석 (An Impact Analysis of Adhesively-Bonded Single Lap Joint)

  • This study presents an explicit dynamic analysis of an adhesively bonded single-lap joint under an impact load. The finite element software, ANSYS LS-DYNA, was used for the analysis and Von Mises stresses were obtained from the analysis. To model the adherents, solid elements were used and a rigid body was assumed for impactor modeling. Three impact heights (1 m, 5 m, and 10 m) were applied to consider different impact conditions and infinite boundary conditions were applied to the end-area of each adherent to save computational time in the analysis. In addition to investigating the stresses in the normal state, we also investigated the stresses in a damaged state (elasticity deterioration), simulated by a change in Young's modulus for 36 of the 3600 elements in the upper layer of the adhesive. The results showed that the location of damage is critical to the stress state of each layer (upper, middle, and lower).

부등침하를 받는 매설관 기초지반 보강 모델링 연구 (A Study on Modeling of the Ground Reinforcement under a Pipe Joint Subjected to Differential Settlement)

  • 본 논문은 매설관 기초지반 보강의 적용성에 관해 연구한 것이다. 지반 보강상호작용해석에 의하여 연결된 파이프 부재 사이의 부등침하를 최소화 하고 이음부에 발생하는 응력집중 현상을 감소시킬 수가 있다. 부등침하를 받는 매설관 하부의 침하형태와 토압의 변화 형태, 그리고 보강재의 변형 형태를 분석하였다. 매설관은 일단은 구조물에 고정되어 있고 타단은 지반속에 매설된채 자유로 되어 있으며 지표면에 재하된 일정한 등분포 하중을 받는다. 실내모형실험과 유한요소 해석을 병행 하였으며, 해석결과를 비보강과 보강 조건에 대하여 상호비교하여 매설관 침하억제를 위한 지반보 강의 효과를 검토하였다.

상부 시변 부하를 갖는 2축 도립진자의 위치 제어 (Position Control of the Two Links Inverted Pendulum with a Time Varying Load on the Top)

  • The attitude control of a double inverted pendulum with a periodical disturbance at link top is dealt in this paper. The proposed system is consisted of the double inverted pendulum and a disturbing link; a triple inverted pendulum with two motors. The lower link is hinged on the plate to free for rotation in the vertical plane. The upper link is connected to the lower link through a DC motor. The DC motor is used to control the posture of the pendulum by adjusting the position of the upper link. The periodical disturbance can be generated by the additional like attached at the end of link 2 through another DC motor, which is the modeling of a posture for a biped supporting with one leg. The motor for the joint simulates the knee joint(or hip joint) and the disturbance for the legs moving in air. The algorithm for controlling the proposed inverted pendulum which is regarded as a virtual double inverted pendulum with a periodic disturbance, is consisted of a state feedback control and a fuzzy logic controller connected in parallel. The fuzzy controller keeps the center of gravity of the biped within the specified range through the nonlinear feedback compensator. The state feedback control takes over the role to maintain a desired posture regardless the disturbance at the link top. Simulations with a mathematical model and experiments are conducted to show the validity of the proposed controller.
