민간경비원의 직무요구 직무자원과 소진, 조직유효성의 구조적 관계 (A Structural Relationship among Job Requirements, Job Resources and Job Burnout, and Organizational Effectiveness of Private Security Guards)

  • 이 연구는 민간경비원의 직무요구와 직무자원을 중심으로 직무소진을 매개변수로 설정하고, 이들 간의 인과관계와 조직유효성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 규명하기 위하여 서울, 경기 지역 수도권에 위치한 민간경비업체 13곳에서 종사하고 있는 민간경비원들을 모집단으로 선정하였으며, 유의 표집법(purposive sampling)을 이용하여 총 429부의 자료를 본 조사의 데이터로 사용하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 18.0 두 가지 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 구체적인 분석방법으로는 연구 대상자의 사회 인구학적 특성을 분석하기 위하여 빈도분석및 기술분석을 실시하였으며, 측정도구의 타당도를 검증하기 위하여 탐색적 요인분석(EFA)과 확인적 요인분석(CFA)을 사용하였고, 신뢰도 검증을 하기 위해 Cronbach's Alpha 계수를 산출하였다. 그리고 변수들 간의 관계 유의성을 살펴보기 위하여 단순 상관관계분석(Pearson's Correlation Analysis)을 실시하였으며, 민간경비원의 직무요구와 직무자원, 직무소진, 조직유효성의 모형에 대한 잠재요인 간의 관계를 검증하기 위해 공변량 구조분석(Covariance Structure Analysis)을 실시하였으며, 공변량 구조분석을 통한 모델의 적합도는 적합도 지수($x^2$, df, p, RMR, GFI, CFI, TLI, RMSEA)에 의해 판정하였다. 이 모든 통계적 유의수준은 .05로 설정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 직무요구가 직무소진에 미치는 영향은 통계적으로 유의하게 나타나지 않았지만 전반적으로 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 결과는 조직구성원의 직무요구 지각이 높을수록 직무소진에 대한 지각도 높은 것으로 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 직무자원이 직무소진에 미치는 영향은 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 결과는 직무자원 지각이 높을수록 직무소진 지각이 낮은 것으로 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 직무요구가 조직유효성에 통계적으로 유의하게 나타나지 않았지만 전반적으로 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 결과는 직무요구 지각이 높을수록 조직유효성 지각이 낮은 것으로 볼 수 있다. 넷째, 직무자원이 조직유효성에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 직무자원 지각이 높을수록 조직유효성 지각이 높은 것으로 볼 수 있다. 다섯째, 직무소진과 조직유효성의 관계를 분석한 결과 직무소진은 조직유효성에 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았지만 조직유효성의 하위요인에서 부분적으로 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 결과는 조직구성원의 직무소진 지각이 높을수록 조직유효성은 낮은 것으로 볼 수 있다. 여섯째, 직무요구와 조직유효성 간의 관계에서 매개역할을 분석한 결과 직무소진이 직무요구와 조직유효성 간의 관계에서 부분매개를 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 직무요구를 관리하여 직무소진을 줄임으로서 직무만족, 조직몰입, 이직의도로 이어지는 조직 유효성을 극대화 시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 일곱째, 직무요구 및 직무자원과 조직유효성 간의 관계에서 매개역할을 분석한 결과 직무소진은 직무요구 및 직무자원과 조직유효성 간의 관계에서 부분매개를 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 직무요구를 낮추거나 직무자원의 정비를 통한 직무소진 관리방안이 조직유효성을 극대화 시킬 것으로 사료된다.

Perceived Risk of COVID-19 Pandemic, Distribution of Burnout Resources, and Employees' Job

  • Purpose: This article presents the relationship among the perceived risk of the COVID-19 pandemic, burnout, job insecurity, and employees' job performance in Vietnam. Research design, data, and methodology: The dataset included 310 samples from Vietnamese employees through the internet (Gmail, Facebook, Google form). PLS-SEM is used on Smart-PLS software. Results: Research results show that the perceived risk of COVID-19 has a positive impact on job performance and burnout. At the same time, job insecurity positively impacts burnout and has a negative impact on job performance. The distribution of resources to many jobs (both working and worrying about losing jobs) will reduce job performance. Furthermore, the study shows that workers exposed to COVID-19 risks have higher job performance. At the same time, burnout is not a factor that reduces employees' job performance. Finally, the perceived risk of COVID-19 and job insecurity have nothing to do with each other (perceived risk of COVID-19 does not affect job insecurity). These are two factors that exist independently and in parallel. Conclusions: The authors also suggest some implications in theory and practice from these research results. The implications will reduce anxiety about risks due to COVID-19 and job security for employees.

아동상담자의 직무스트레스와 개인적 자원이 소진 및 직무열의에 미치는 영향 (Job Stress, Personal Resources, Burnout, and Work Engagement in Child Counselors)

  • 본 연구는 직무스트레스와 개인적 자원(강인성, 낙관성)이 아동상담자의 소진 및 직무열의에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 아동 대상 심리치료를 하는 아동상담자 171명에 대해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 상관분석 및 위계적 다중회귀 분석방법을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과, 직무스트레스와 개인적 자원은 소진 및 직무열의와 상관관계를 나타냈는데, 특히 직무스트레스는 소진과, 개인적 자원은 직무열의와 더 밀접한 상관을 보였다. 직무스트레스는 소진을 높이는 것으로 나타났으며, 개인적 자원으로서 강인성은 소진을 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 직무열의와 관련해서는 강인성과 낙관성이 직무스트레스에 비해 상대적인 영향력이 컸다. 따라서 강인성이나 낙관성과 같은 심리적 자원을 가진 아동상담자는 소진을 덜 느끼고 자신의 일에 더 많이 헌신하며, 몰두한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 아동상담자에 대한 실천적 함의를 논하였다.

안전참여 활동에 대한 직무요구-자원 모형의 적용 및 안전 자기효능감의 조절효과 (Applying the Job Demands-Resources model to safety participation and the moderating effect of safety self-efficacy)

  • This paper reviewed the relationship between job demands/resources and safety participation, and the moderating effect of safety self-efficacy. Based on the responses from 247 employees, the results of multiple regression analysis appeared as follow; 1) job demands factors(role conflict, role ambiguity and role overload) effect negatively on safety participation. 2) job resources factors(autonomy and social support) effect positively on safety participation. 3) safety self-efficacy moderates positively 3 relationships-between role conflict and safety participation, between role ambiguity and safety participation, between social support and safety participation.

Correlation Analysis between Job Stress and Job Satisfaction of Building Construction Field Managers

  • The success of a construction project hinges on the effective and efficient management of human resources. The stress of human resources is directly related with work performance, and as such, should be managed to improve work performance. This study examined the correlation between job stress and job satisfaction among building construction project managers. A questionnaire to measure work performance was created by referring to the Korean Occupational Stress Questionnaire Short Form developed by the Korean Occupational Safety & Health Agency, as well as a previous study. The mean job satisfaction score of field managers was 3.6, which suggests that they are generally satisfied in their current job environment. A Pearson's correlation analysis showed that the field managers that were satisfied with their job had less job stress. These results could be used for the effective management of construction site managers and to improve their job performance in the field.

HPC environment Design and Implementation for Efficient Job Processing in an NEC system

  • As several users use a system simultaneously, a job management system is used to prevent exclusive uses in the system by a certain user and share entire resources for all users. The job management system is a type of scheduler that distributes limited resources for each job inquire efficiently. The system can be classified as different types and is to be properly selected according to the characteristics of systems and jobs. An NEC system is a job management system and usually applies NQS. The job management system has several queues, which are able to process jobs through distributed resources in which the efficiency of such job processing can be varied according to the composition of these queues. This study designs and configures differentiated queues according to service levels in order to improve the efficiency of the entire system as NQS is designed and that performs job processing. Also, this study analyze the performance of the job processing.

Microbusinesses and Occupational Stress: Emotional Demands, Job Resources, and Depression Among Korean Immigrant Microbusiness Owners in Toronto, Canada

  • Objectives: While occupational stress has long been a central focus of psychological research, few studies have investigated how immigrant microbusiness owners (MBOs) respond to their unusually demanding occupation, or how their unresolved occupational stress manifests in psychological distress. Based on the job demands-resources model, this study compared MBOs to employees with regard to the relationships among emotional demands, job resources, and depressive symptoms. Methods: Data were derived from a cross-sectional survey of 1288 Korean immigrant workers (MBOs, professionals, office workers, and manual workers) aged 30 to 70, living in Toronto and surrounding areas. Face-to-face interviews were conducted between March 2013 and November 2013. Results: Among the four occupational groups, MBOs appeared to endure the greatest level of emotional demands, while reporting relatively lower levels of job satisfaction and job security; but MBOs reported the greatest job autonomy. The effect of emotional demands on depressive symptoms was greater for MBOs than for professionals. However, an inspection of stress-resource interactions indicated that though MBOs enjoyed the greatest autonomy, the protective effects of job satisfaction and security on the psychological risk of emotional demands appeared to be more pronounced for MBOs than for any of the employee groups. Conclusions: One in two Korean immigrants choose self-employment, most typically in family-owned microbusinesses that involve emotionally taxing dealings with clients and suppliers. However, the benefits of job satisfaction and security may protect MBOs from the adverse mental health effects of job stress.

의료기관 가정전문간호사의 개인대처자원과 조직지원인식이 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Personal Coping Resources and Perceived Organizational Supports on Job Stress among Hospital-Based Home Care Nurse Practitioners (HCNPs))

  • Purpose: The aims of this study were to describe the levels of personal coping resources, perceived organizational supports, and job stress, and to examine factors that affect job stress in hospital-based home care nurse practitioners. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted. Data were collected from 170 subjects with a structured questionnaire from April to July, 2016 and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, One-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regressions. Results: The means for personal coping resources, perceived organizational supports, and job stress were $3.7{\pm}0.43$, $3.4{\pm}0.55$, and $3.4{\pm}0.55$ out of 5, respectively. Personal coping resources and perceived organizational supports were significantly correlated. However, both had no associations with job stress. In the multiple regression analysis, the experiences of home care nursing and hospital location were found to be predictors of job stress. Both personal coping resources and perceived organizational supports were not statistically significant predictors of job stress. Conclusions: It is necessary to carry out organization-based educational programs and support systems aimed at enhancing personal abilities to cope with stress at work. Additionally, further studies are needed to identify other hospital-related characteristics that can lead to job stress in home care nurse practitioners.

사서직 업무변화에 관한 연구 (A Study of Evolution of the Librarian Job)

  • 사서직의 업무변화는 도서관패러다임의 변화와 직결된다. 이러한 변화를 자각하고, 신속히 업무에 반영하는 것은 사서직의 경쟁력과 직결된 문제이다. 본 연구에서는 도서관법과 기준, 담당부서 및 정책, 직무분석을 통하여 1970-80년대의 업무내용과 2000년대의 업무를 비교분석하였다. 결과 사서업무는 관리업무의 최소화, 이용자그룹의 다양화, 세분화에 맞추어 자료구비와 전문적 정보서비스를 마련하고 있다. 나아가 환경변화에 따른 디지털도서관업무의 급증에 대비하여 디지털 자료구비, 보존, 원격접근, 공용에 대한 업무가 증가하고 있다.

The Effect of Customer Demands and Resources on Attitude and Behavioral Intention of Frontline Employees

  • Purpose - The purpose of this research is twofold; first, it attempts to categories customer demands into challenging and hindrance stressors, second, it investigates the effect of customer challenging stressors, hindrance stressors and customer resources on job satisfaction, emotional exhaustion and turnover intention of frontline employees. Research design, data, and methodology - A quantitative research method with an online survey was adopted to test the proposed hypotheses. Sample was collected from 186 frontline employees. And, structural equation model was conducted through AMOS 20.0 to verify the proposed hypotheses. Results - First, customer challenging stressors and customer resources positively affect job satisfaction. Second, customer hindrance stressors negatively affect job satisfaction and positively affect emotional exhaustion. Finally, job satisfaction negatively affects turnover intention whereas emotional exhaustion positively affects turnover intention of frontline employees. Contributions - In term of theoretical contributions, the current study categorized the customer demands into challenging and hindrance stressors and empirically tested the effect of challenging and hindrance stressors on emotional exhaustion, job satisfaction and turnover intention of frontline employees. Managerially, this study provides insights to the firm by highlighting the presence of challenging stressors and customer resources which have positive effect on the attitudes and behaviors of the frontline employees.
