The Effect of Psychological Well-Being on Life Satisfaction for Employees

  • Purpose - This study investigated small business members' cognition of happiness in accordance with changes of employment environment at the nation's industrialization. The study verified effects of labor workers' psychological wellbeing conditions upon life satisfaction as well as the effects of job burden and family burden of employment instability. Research design, data, and methodology - The subjects were small business workers in Seoul and Metropolitan areas. The author collected 150 copies of effective questionnaires. Regression analysis, hierarchical analysis and 3-stage mediation regression analysis were done. Results - The findings of this research was that psychological wellbeing factors alleviated job burden and family burden to increase satisfaction with life. Employment instability moderated between job burden and satisfaction with life, job burden between environmental control and satisfaction with life, and family burden between goal and satisfaction of life. Members needed sub factors of psychological wellbeing, especially reflection for self-acceptance. Conclusions - This study inspected effects of small business workers' psychological wellbeing upon life satisfaction at changes of management environment as well as labor environment to verify effects of job burden, family burden and employment instability and to find out conditions of human resources management from point of view of small business and workers.

일인 사서 전문도서관의 직무 연구 (A Study on Job of One Person Special Library)

  • 2007 한국도서관연감에 의하면 589개 전문도서관 중에서 162개관이 사서 일인이 도서관 업무를 모두 수행하는 일인 사서 도서관이다. 그러나 전문도서관의 특수성과 다양성으로 인하여 타 관종에 비해 연구가 활발하지 못하고, 효율적 인적자원관리를 위해 실시하는 직무분석도 전무한 실정이다. 본 연구는 일인 사서 전문도서관의 직무내용, 직무 수행빈도와 중요도 난이도에 대한 조사를 통해 현황을 파악하고, 소속 기관 특성과의 연관성을 분석하여 직무 개선을 위한 제언을 하였다.

  • Competition to attract customers to the increase of the golf club, but the less people enjoying golf for a variety of issues, including the economic downturn, so golf is going deepened. Therefore, the local golf club is faced with the difficulty of management. In the case of the golf club human resource is the most important factor, because it has a high labor intensive nature of the industry as a type of facilities and services on the basis of intangible human resources. In this paper, to confirm the internal marketing activities and internal service quality, basic premise is that for an external customer satisfaction, internal customer satisfaction should be preceded, and try to analyze these execution factors on job satisfaction and customer orientation, either directly or indirectly affected. The empirical results, the management support in the internal marketing activities were the factors affecting the intrinsic job satisfaction, and the internal service quality were factors affecting employees of the intrinsic job satisfaction and extrinsic job satisfaction.

간호사의 임파워먼트가 직무만족, 업무생산성 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Empowerment on Job Satisfaction, Task Performance and Turnover Intention by Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of empowerment on job satisfaction, task performance and turnover intention and to identify the relationship among them in hospital nurses. Methods: The subjects were 256 nurses working for one university and three general hospital in J city. The data were analyzed by SPSS 11.5. Results: The mean score of empowerment was 2.86, job satisfaction was 3.00, task performance was 3.29 and turnover intention was 3.01. The empowerment was positively correlated with job satisfaction(r=.63, p<.001) and task performance(r=.32, p<.001), but negatively correlated with turnover intention(r=-.17, p<.05). The significant predictive factors of job satisfaction and task performance were information and support in empowerment. And turnover intention was resources in empowerment. Conclusion: These result suggest that empowerment improvement programs should be development to improve the quality of nursing.

장기요양시설 요양보호사의 직무에 대한 수행도, 교육요구도 및 전문직업성 인식 (Job Performance, Educational Needs, and Recognition of Professionalism among Care Workers in Long-term Care Facilities)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the job performance and educational needs, and recognition of professionalism among care workers, and to organize educational programs according to the priorities of care workers. Methods: The participants were 119 care workers who were working in long-term care facilities. Data were collected from May 31 to June 7, 2019 using self-report questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed using t-tests, ANOVA, and Spearman's Correlation Coefficients. Results: The performance aspects of the job were as follows: care for safety and infection-related, communication and leisure support, and excretion. The most demanded educational needs were in first-aid. Care workers had more than average professional recognition. Job performance and educational needs, and recognition of professionalism differed significantly according to several general characteristics. Conclusions: The educational needs of the areas with low frequency of job performance were high. First-aid is low in frequency, but it is important to cope with emergencies, so it is necessary to continue education. Also, there is a difference in recognition of professionalism according to the career. It will be necessary to develop individualized education programs to meet the needs of care workers.

The Effect of Ethical Leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: An Empirical Study in Indonesia

  • Fraud cases that are committed by top management or people who have high positions or organization can be called character assassination crimes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ethical leadership on organizational citizenship behavior and the effect of ethical leadership on job satisfaction and job satisfaction on organizational citizenship behavior. This study uses quantitative methods with SEM analysis tools partial least square (PLS) with the population of this study being all civil servants in the Kediri city government with 125 organizational members. This research instrument uses a questionnaire divided into three main parts: (1) leadership ethics as measured by 6 indicators and 12 items. (2) Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as measured by 7 dimensions and 14 items (3) job satisfaction as measured by 4 indicators and 8 items. Based on the results of the discussion of data analysis that has been carried out through data processing and proof of hypotheses, it can be concluded that an increase in ethical leadership will have an impact on increasing organizational citizenship behavior, an increase in ethical leadership variables will affect job satisfaction and that job satisfaction has no significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior.

A Study on the Research of Job Characteristics on Organizational Commitment, Resilience and Organizational Citizenship Behavior for Korean Government-funded Research Institutes in the Field of Science and Technology

  • Purpose - Government-funded research institutes are important national institutions socially and nationally but academic studies on Korean government-funded research institutes are scarce, especially in areas of human resources and organization. This study investigated the effects of job characteristics on organizational commitment, resilience, and organizational citizenship behavior for organizational members of government-funded research institutes in the field of science and technology. Research design, data, and methodology - Literature review on the effects of job characteristics on organizational commitment, resilience and organizational citizenship behavior for organizational members of government-funded research institutes in the field of science and technology. Based on the review, exploratory propositions were proposed to conduct future empirical study. Result - In this study, based on the results of previous studies, it was presumed that job characteristics would affect organizational commitment, and organizational commitment would affect resilience and organizational citizenship behavior. In addition, proposition on the mediating role of resilience on both organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior was formulated. Conclusion - It was propositioned that job characteristics would affect organizational commitment, and organizational commitment would affect resilience and organizational citizenship behavior. Resilience, along with the direct effect of organizational commitment on organizational citizenship behavior, would play a role in mediating organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior.

온톨로지 기반의 그리드 자원선택 시스템 (Ontology-based Grid Resource Selection System)

  • 그리드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 컴퓨팅 자원은 매우 다양한 네트워크와 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 이기종의 환경에서 기존의 자원선택 기법으로 사용자가 원하는 자원을 검색 및 선택하는 것은 자원정보의 저장 구조상 한계가 있다. 본 논문은 사용자의 요구사항과 데이터 특성에 맞는 자원을 선택하기 위해 그리드 자원을 온톨로지로 구축하고, SWRL을 이용하여 정의한 규칙을 바탕으로 추론 엔진을 거쳐서 자원을 선택 및 제공하는 온톨로지 기반의 그리드 자원선택시스템을 제안한다. 실험 결과는 본 논문에서 제안한 온톨로지 기반의 그리드 자원선택 시스템이 기존 그리드 자원선택 시스템인 Condor-G와 Nimrod-G 보다 더 높은 작업 처리율 및 자원 이용률과 적은 작업 손실 및 처리 시간을 보임으로써 그리드 자원선택을 지능적이며 능동적으로 할 수 있고, 자원 이용에 더 효과적이라는 사실을 증명한다.

무엇이 아픈 노동자들을 출근하도록 만드는가? 직업환경과 프리젠티즘(presenteeism)에 대한 연구 (What Makes Sick Workers Go To Work? A Study of Occupational Environment and Presenteeism)

  • 본 논문은 몸이 아픈데도 불구하고 출근을 하는 행위를 뜻하는 프리젠티즘(presenteeism) 과 연관되어 있는 직업 환경적 요소들을 탐색하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 프리젠티즘은 학술연구 분야에서 상대적으로 새로운 개념이지만, 노동자들의 미래의 직업적 전망과 삶의 질에 위협을 가하는 중요한 요인이자, 노동생산성을 저하시킨다는 의미에서 중요한 사회적 이슈가 된다. 이 연구를 위해 안전보건공단에서 실시하는 근로환경조사 2014년 자료가 사용되었고, 분석에는 15세 이상의 임금근로자 24,571 명이 포함되었다. 프리젠티즘의 경험 여부에 대한 로지스틱 분석을 시행하여 노동시간과 개인생활, 노동환경과 직장환경, 고용불안정, 보상과 복지 네 가지 측면에서의 가설을 검증하였다. 분석 결과로부터 1) 근무시간으로 인해 가족/사회생활의 어려움이 크다고 느낄수록, 2) 노동시간압박이 크고, 직장만족도가 낮을수록, 3) 직업불안정성이 클수록, 4) 복지 수준이 낮을수록 프리젠티즘의 가능성이 높다는 점이 확인되었다. 이는 직장의 업무요구나 직업적 환경이 개인의 주관적 기대수준과 부조화가 나타나 개인적 자원의 손실이 예상될 경우, 건강상태가 좋지 않음에도 불구하고 출근을 하여 그 손실을 메우고자 한다는 본 논문의 이론적 논의와 일관된 결과라 볼 수 있다. 프리젠티즘은 노동자 개인의 삶의 질과 건강에 부정적인 영향을 줄 뿐만 아니라 사회적 비용도 발생시키는 관행인 만큼, 조직적인 측면에서 이를 예방할 수 있는 방법에 대한 모색이 필요하다.

사회적기업 근로자의 직무불안, 직무만족, 고객과의 관계가 재직 의도에 미치는 영향 (Assessing the Impacts of Job insecurity, Job satisfaction and Relationship with customers on Intention of Retention of Employees in Social Enterprises)

  • 사회적기업은 사회적 미션에도 불구하고, 급변하는 글로벌 환경에서 경제적 성과 목표에도 응해야 한다. 이러한 상황은 인적자원관리 전략이 중요한 역할을 지님을 의미한다. 특히 경쟁력있는 효율성을 유지하기 위한 과제는 근로자 이직을 낮추는데 달려 있다. 본 연구는 사회적기업 근로자를 대상으로 재직 의도에 영향을 끼치는 직무불안, 직무만족, 고객과의 관계의 영향력을 검증하고자 한다. 조사 대상은 서울 경기 지역의 36곳의 사회적기업 여성 근로자 271명으로 삼았고, 이항로짓회귀분석(Binominal Logistic regression)을 적용하였다. 연구결과, 사회적기업 근로자의 재직 의도는 상당히 긍정적인 수준으로 높게 나타났다. 하지만 사회적기업 근로자의 직무불안정성은 재직 의도에 부정적인 영향을 끼치는 반면 직무만족과 고객와의 관계는 재직 의도에 긍정적인 요인으로 밝혀졌다. 결론적으로 사회적기업의 지속가능성을 위한 근로자의 근속 유지를 위해서는 인적자원 관리가 중요한 역할을 할 수 있음을 밝히고 직무 환경 개선을 위한 관리적 함의를 도출하였다.
