  • The crevice corrosion of local corrosion occur when the gap exist on metal surface. This crevice corrosion happen to region such as flange of pipe, contact part of casing, under gasket and packing, between valve disk and seat of pump etc. Especially The crevice corrosion of mild steel(SS 400) get serious. This paper was studied on the crevice corrosion of SS 400 in fluid environment. In $0\%,\;2\%,\;3.5\%,\;5\% NaCl$ solution, the aspect of the crevice corrosion and polarization behavior under the crevice corrosion was investigated. And Weight loss rate of SS 400 with crevice and non-crevice was measured according to the NaCl concentration. The main results obtained are as follows : 1) Under crevice corrosion, the corrosion potential become less noble as the concentration of NaCl solution increased. 2) The current density under open circuit potential was high drained as concentration of NaCl solution increased by $3.5\%$ but the concentration increased over $3.5\%$, the current density was low drained. 3) The weight loss rate of SS 400 was increased as concentration of NaCl solution Increased by $3.5\%$, but the concentration increased over $3.5\%$, that of SS 400 was decreased. 4) Effect of oxygen for crevice corrosion in the concentration of $3.5\%$ NaCl solution become sensitive than that $0\%$ NaCl solution.

Assessment of Household Catastrophic Total Cost of Tuberculosis and Its Determinants in Cairo: Prospective Cohort Study

  • Background: One goal of the End tuberculosis (TB) Strategy is to see no TB-affected households experiencing catastrophic costs. Therefore, it is crucial for TB-elimination programs to identify catastrophic costs and their main drivers in order to establish appropriate health and social measures. This study aimed to measure the percent of catastrophic costs experienced by Egyptian TB patients and to identify its determinants. Methods: We conducted a prospective cohort study with 151 Egyptian TB patients recruited from two chest dispensaries from the Cairo governate from May 2019 to May 2020. We used a validated World Health Organization TB patient-cost tool to collect data on patients' demographic information, household income, and direct and indirect expense of seeking TB treatment. We considered catastrophic TB costs to be total costs exceeding 20% of the household's annual income. Results: Of the patients, 33% experienced catastrophic costs. The highest proportion of the total came in the pre-treatment stage. Being the main breadwinner, experiencing job loss, selling property, and the occurrence of early coronavirus disease 2019 lockdown were independent determinants of the incidence of catastrophic costs. Borrowing money and selling property were the most-often reported coping strategies adopted. Conclusion: Despite the availability of free TB care under the Egyptian National TB Program, nearly a third of the TB patients incurred catastrophic costs. Job loss and being the main breadwinner were among the significant predictors of catastrophic costs. Social protection mechanisms, including cash assistance and insurance coverage, are necessary to achieve the goal of the End TB Strategy.

The Mental Health of Hospital Workers During the Initial Phase and Third Wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Exploring Risk and Protective Factors in the Prolonged Pandemic

  • Objective : Hospital workers' mental health has deteriorated because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of hospital workers and its determinants. Methods : Two surveys were conducted among employees working in a hospital that received COVID-19 patients from the early phase of the pandemic in South Korea. Data on demographics, perceived threat, workplace evaluation, resilience, and mental health status were collected using the Korean General Health Questionnaire-20 in the initial phase (February 2020) and during the third wave of COVID-19 (December 2020) for 467 and 545 workers, respectively. The mental health of hospital workers in the two phases was compared, and the risk and protective factors during the third wave were investigated. Results : The proportion of patients in the psychiatric high-risk group increased from 2.8% in the initial phase to 11.4% during the third wave. The perceived threat, workplace evaluation, and resilience of respondents deteriorated. Risk factors for mental health during the third wave included the perceived threat items of job stress, loss of control, and considering resignation. Protective factors included presence of children, workplace satisfaction, and hardiness in resilience. Conclusion : Hospital workers' mental health deteriorated as the pandemic progressed. General stress and tension such as job stress, loss of control, considering resignation rather than COVID-19-specific stress had negative effects on mental health of hospital workers. Therefore, care for work stress itself can be helpful to maintain the mental health of hospital workers. Also, governance to improve workplace satisfaction or hardiness in resilience can be a potential protective factor for hospital workers' mental health during the prolonged pandemic.

불완전고용의 선행요인 및 불완전고용이 조직 적응에 미치는 영향 (Underemployment of the Reemployed: Antecedents and Effects on Organizational Adaptation)

  • 본 연구의 첫 번째 목적은 불완전고용에 영향을 미치는 선행요인에 대해 살펴보는 것이고, 두 번째 목적은 불완전고용이 조직 적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구는 종단으로 설계되어 2회의 설문조사를 통해 자료가 수집되었으며, 1차 조사 시점에서 미취업 상태에 있었으나 2차 조사 시점에서는 재취업한 153명으로부터 자료를 얻었다. 불완전고용의 측정치는 임금, 사회적 지위, 기술활용도 및 고용형태변화의 차원에서 여섯 개의 측정치-'임금변화비(현재 임금/실직 전 임금)', '지위변화비(현재 직업지위/실직 전 직업지위)', '학력격차비(요구학력/실제학력)', '정규직에서 비정규직으로 고용형태가 변화했는지의 여부' 및 자기보고방식의 지각된 과잉자격 척도의 '성장가능성부재'와 '자격불일치' 요인-로 측정되었다. 먼저 불완전고용에 영향을 미치는 선행요인의 효과를 살펴보고자, 선행요인으로 인구통계변인(성별, 연령, 학력 및 실업기간), 상황변인(경제적 곤란도와 부양가족 수), 개인특성변인(구직효능감, 우울·불안, 잠재적 기능)을 설정하였다. 주요 결과로는 연령이 높을수록 임금과 지위는 하향 변화하였고, 경제적 곤란도가 높을수록 자신의 학력보다 낮은 학력이 요구되는 직업에 재취업하였으며, 부양가족 수가 많을수록 직업지위가 하향 변화하였다. 개인특성변인 중 실업기간 동안 취업의 잠재적 기능을 유지할수록, 성장가능성부재로 측정된 불완전고용의 가능성을 낮추었고, 구직효능감이 높은 경우에도 마찬가지 결과를 보였다. 실업기간 동안 우울·불안 수준이 높을수록 자신의 학력보다 낮은 학력이 요구되는 직업에 재취업할 가능성이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 불완전고용이 직무-조직 적합도 지각, 조직몰입, 직무만족 및 이직의도로 측정된 조직 적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 학력격차비 측면에서 불완전고용의 정도가 높을수록 개인-조직 적합도, 정서몰입 및 직무만족을 낮게 지각하였다. 또한 정규직에서 비정규직으로 변화할수록 정서몰입과 직무만족을 낮게 지각하였다. 그리고 성장가능성부재와 자격불일치는 조직 적응 전반에 걸쳐 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

직업 경력단절 기혼 여성에 대한 질적 연구: 30대 여성의 경력단절 이후의 삶을 중심으로 (A Qualitative Study on the Career-interrupted Lives of Career-Interrupted Women in their thirties)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the career-interrupted lives of highly educated career-interrupted women. The participants were 11 women in their thirties who had graduated from university graduated and had a child. We collected the qualitative data using a focused group interview. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, in personal histories of the career-interrupted women, there were marriages and births, difficulties with child care, priority placed on the family, pressure to retire, and an absence of a layoff system related to births and child care. Second, with regard to their interrupted lives, while there was comfort and an absence of work-stress, there was child care stress, financial stress, anxiety due to career uncertainty, a loss of the social self, depression, emptiness, low self-esteem, dependence on husbands, regret, conflict in career choices, and envy of childcare support. Third, their reasons for seeking reemployment included the financial benefits, increased independence, self-realization in their job, hope for a stable job, self-management, and hope for a social network.

국내외 조리시간의 갈등요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Complication factors between foreign and domestic chefs)

  • This study attempts to identify the level of conflicts occurring between foreign and domestic chefs, and to suggest the way of controlling those conflicts in order to well manage human resources, foreign chefs. Based on the empirical research, the research findings shows that in terms of targeting and achieving objectives different level of conflicts are experienced when age, hotel type, position varies. For example. purchasing excessive foreign foods may cause undesirable stock which will lead to considerable loss. In order to overcome this problem the advantages of the chain-operated and the independent hotel's food purchasing system must be incorporated. Secondly, another conflicts arise when the architecture and system of a kitchen is different from what foreign chefs are familiar with. Kitchen architecture and system should be well-designed in terms of delivery channel, sanitation, safety, food control, banquet etc.. In developing menu, chefs often have different criteria in the scale of sweet and salt of a particular dish. Foreign chefs often blame his subordinates for not meeting his requirements without proper training or education. Finally, because of the different culture, communication as well as the lack of mutual understanding problem occur. Even though today is called global town. some chefs do not seem to open their minds to learn other developing countries' culture. In diversity management aspect, chefs need to put much effort to be aware of other countries' culture, history, political and economic situation. In prior to employing foreign chefs, the job enrollment and description must be prepared so as to minimize the conflicts, which otherwise will create poor job performance.

초등학교 고학년 아동의 비만 영향 요인 (Influencing the Factors on Obesity in Upper-Grade Elementary School Children)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of obesity and dietary self-efficacy scale and to identify factors that affect obesity in upper-grade elementary school students. Methods: A total of 458 fifth to sixth grade elementary school students in Seoul and Chuncheon city, and rural areas of Gangwon Province, were included in this study. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, and logistic regression. Results: The results revealed significant differences in the obesity region, perceived body image, experience of weight loss, family member of mother's age, mother's job and father's job between 'not obesity group' and 'obesity group'. The logistic regression analysis revealed that obesity was related with gender, region, and perceived body image. Conclusion: Gender, region, and perceived body image showed a relationship with obesity in upper-grade elementary school students. Thus, to develop obesity management program for upper grade elementary school students, we should be considered the gender, region, and perceived body image should be considered.

  • 카지노장에서 직원에 의한 횡령사건이 발생하였다. 일부 카지노 직원들은 직무 만족도가 낮으며, 도덕적인 괴리감으로 이직을 심각하게 고려하고 있다. 또한 대량의 현금 유혹과 자금관리시스템의 부족은 횡령사건을 발생시키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 카지노 산업의 특수성과 직원직무만족도를 조사한다. 카지노 횡령사건의 발생내용을 분석하고, 계좌추적과 수표에 대한 조회 및 혐의자에 대한 휴대폰 통화내역 등의 디지털 포렌식 수사기술을 연구한다. 문제점과 해결방안은 손실예방 프로그램 실시, 디지털 포렌식 기술과 수사관 도입에 대한 제안을 한다. 본 연구를 통해 카지노 업무를 전산화하여 횡령사고를 예방하며, 수익금에 대한 사회 환원과 포렌식 수사기술 발전에 기여하게 될 것이다.

전업 주부와 직업 주부의 식생활 평가 및 영양 지식에 관한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of the Dietary Assessment and Knowledge of (Full-Time) Housewives and Working (Job-Holding) Housewives)

  • This was conducted to investigate the dietary assessment, food preferences, snack intake, priority order in food purchase, and knowledge of diet of full-time housewives and working housewives through the use of a questionnaire. The participants (127 working housewives and 86 housewives) were selected at random from Seoul and its vicinity. The predominant job reported by working housewives was saleswomen and specialized job (20.7%). The average monthly income of both housewives and working housewives ranged from 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 won. Forty percent of housewives consumed more meat, fish, eggs, beans, and tofu, while 50.0% of housewives ate vegetables other than kimchi at every meal, 51.2% of housewives consumed one serving of fruit and one cup of fruit juice, 45.3% of housewives consumed three regular meals, and 60.5% of housewives consumed a balanced diet when compared with working housewives (p<0.05). Working housewives consumed beverages, ice cream, milk, and dairy products, while housewives consumed breads, sweet potato, potato, and fruit as snacks. The preference that most often led to food selection was flavor among working housewives (67.7%) and housewives (64.0%). Both working housewives and housewives always confirmed the day of food production. Generally, housewives were more interested in learning about food, creating a dietary plan, nutrient loss during cooking and reducing waste food when compared with working housewives. Housewives appeared to have better dietary assessment and knowledge than working housewives. Accordingly, it is advisable to prepare more systemic education programs for working housewives.

온톨로지 기반의 그리드 자원선택 시스템 (Ontology-based Grid Resource Selection System)

  • 그리드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 컴퓨팅 자원은 매우 다양한 네트워크와 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 이기종의 환경에서 기존의 자원선택 기법으로 사용자가 원하는 자원을 검색 및 선택하는 것은 자원정보의 저장 구조상 한계가 있다. 본 논문은 사용자의 요구사항과 데이터 특성에 맞는 자원을 선택하기 위해 그리드 자원을 온톨로지로 구축하고, SWRL을 이용하여 정의한 규칙을 바탕으로 추론 엔진을 거쳐서 자원을 선택 및 제공하는 온톨로지 기반의 그리드 자원선택시스템을 제안한다. 실험 결과는 본 논문에서 제안한 온톨로지 기반의 그리드 자원선택 시스템이 기존 그리드 자원선택 시스템인 Condor-G와 Nimrod-G 보다 더 높은 작업 처리율 및 자원 이용률과 적은 작업 손실 및 처리 시간을 보임으로써 그리드 자원선택을 지능적이며 능동적으로 할 수 있고, 자원 이용에 더 효과적이라는 사실을 증명한다.
