  • This study examines the job and life satisfactions of the self-employed. It uses the Korean Labour and Income Panel Study(KLIPS, hereafter) data for 1998 and 2004. We examine the phases of satisfaction and what variables influence satisfaction for both years and compare the results in order to see what changed between the two regimes. We make use of k-means clustering to divide self-employed into similar degrees of satisfaction. As a result, we are able to classify the self-employed into three groups(low, medium and high) both for the two regimes. High groups consists of relatively younger, well-educated, low working dates, higher proportion of woman than other groups. As a result of regression analysis, we have some evidence that women are more satisfied than men for job satisfaction and that the existence of income is more important than the amount of income for life satisfaction. The age, education, satisfaction for working place, and health are significant to both satisfactions.

Also, women with disabilities experienced more consideration of job(p<.05) and working time(p<.001) than men with disabilities. The job stability among job satisfactions of women with disabilities was higher than men with disabilities. The factors affecting the job maintenance of women with disabilities were health status(p<.05), wages(p<.05), consideration of job(p<.05).This study suggested that the health status, wages, consideration of job were needed to consider when establishing employment policy for women with disabilities.

T-test, χ2-validation and ANOVA analysis were used for this study, and Scheffé analysis was applied as a post hoc analysis. As a result of this study, job status was examined by type, age, educational attainment, and educational experience. The satisfaction level of educational institutions was highest in the national public day care centers, and the age was 50 years or older, and the education level was high in graduate school. In addition, the job satisfaction of early childhood teachers was significantly analyzed in relation to fellow teacher, relationship with the director, self-identity and teaching environment. • School foodservice employees are involved with every aspect of ensuring that high quality meals are prepared and they influence student satisfaction. The objective of this study was to identify whether job satisfaction of cooks is affected by their relationships with management. Survey forms that were developed for foodservice dietitians and employees were interviewed. Questionnaires to measure job satisfaction were distributed to 30 schools in the Gyeonggi province and completed by 30 dietitians and 323 cooks. Foodservice cooks' job satisfaction was evaluated by measuring attitudes towards aspects of their job using the modified Smith method(1969). All items in the scales were coded by 4 Likert scale(1: nerver satisfied, 4: very satisfied), then grouped by using factor analyses. Statistical methods used in this study were a $x^2$-test, t-test with SPSS software(version 12.0). The study results were as follows; 1) The demographic data showed that 65.3% of respondents were in their 40s, 96% were married, 68.8% were high school graduates, and 93.5% were contracted employees. Regarding overall experience in their current workplace, 27.9% had been in their position over 5 years and 25.7% said less than 2 years. 2) Most of the school lunches was served in the classroom(73.3%). The cook working was rotated among the employees(90%). Most employees did not use a day's leave of absence per month because they were averse to burdening their coworkers. 3) There were no significant differences in job satisfaction between the cooks' self-evaluation scores(2.92) and those of the dietitians(2.92). Among the factors influencing job satisfaction, dietitians(2.10) perceived that cooks(1.99) were more satisfied with their salaries than was actually the case. The cooks(3.19) rated their level of work satisfaction higher than the dietitians(3.03) perceived it to be. Employees rated their relationship satisfaction as 3.50, but dietitians on the other hand rated it 3.37. Most of the cook respondents want a higher salary and a some kind of employment guarantee. This study provides foodservice managers information useful for design positions that will increase productivity. Future study is needed to determine the factors that will improve job satisfaction and satisfy the employees' needs, which in turn will improve school food service quality.

  • Despite the high demand for dental care professionals, high turnover of dental hygienists have been reported, especially among workers in the dental clinics. This study aimed to examine job satisfaction factors affecting dental hygienist's service year in Seoul using cross-sectional data. The questionnaire survey was conducted from August 26, 2013 to September 13, 2013. Data were collected from 296 employees of dental clinics and hospitals located in Seoul. Logistic regression analysis was applied for parameter estimates, using PASW Statistics 18.0 and R software version 3.0.3. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ for the total job satisfaction factors was 0.922. In descriptive statistics, the group (that less than four years of working and over four years of working) had a statistically significant difference in age, religion, experience of turnover and autonomous factor among job satisfaction factors. In multiple logistic regression model, autonomy in job satisfaction was an important factor to predict the length of service in dental hygienist (odds ratio, 2.65; 95% confidence interval, 1.06~6.60). Autonomous factor was a significant predictor of length of service for dental hygienist. This study encourages future investigations of the role of job satisfaction of service year using better analytical frameworks.

Second, positive psychological capital positive mentality has positive correlations with communication capital and job satisfaction. Third, Optimism have statistical significance on communication competence in 33% level. Hope has positive correlations with job satisfaction in 6% of an explanatory power. As a conclusion, it is necessary to lower the turnover rate of nursing homes for the elderly and increase the job satisfaction effect, many factors related to positive psychological capital are continuously found in order to solve the nursing workforce of geriatric nursing hospitals.

The survey was administered to 221 staff from 11 general hospitals located in Jeonbuk area from Nov. 1st, 2016 to Jan. 31st, 2017. The structured self-administered questionaries were used. The hierarchical multiple regression analysis shows the following results. The JS of respondents turned out to be significantly higher in following groups: a group without work shift, a group with more employees, a group in which self efficacy is higher, a group in which skill variety in job characteristics is higher, a group in which interpersonal conflict and lack of reward in occupational stress are lower.
